Chapter Twenty-Four

It was morning 3 weeks later and I was woken up by a strange feeling. I got up and went to the bathroom and threw up.

"It can't be. I can't be pregnant can I?"

This went on for a few days before it really sank in. I'm pregnant.

Folken was waiting for me in the dining room for breakfast, I wasn't usually late for a meal so he was starting to worry.

I walked into the dining room not looking to well.

"Hitomi what's wrong you don't look to well?"

"Folken there's something I need to tell you."

"What is it Hitomi?"

"I'm pregnant."

"Really?"

"Yeah."

"That's wonderful Hitomi." Folken started to smile.

"You're not mad."

"Of course not why would I be mad, I love you. This is just another step in life, as long as you are happy with this."

"I'm so relieved that you are happy with this."

Folken bought out a little pouch that he had always carried with him and emptied the contents into his hand.

"I have wanted to ask you this for a long time." Folken got up and kneeled down before me, "Hitomi, will you marry me?" Folken held the ring in his fingers waiting for an answer. It was white gold with six small diamonds encircling a ruby, just like in my dream.

"Oh Folken yes I will marry you." This time it felt so right.

Folken placed the ring on my finger and kissed me.

We decided to have a private wedding with a few witnesses later that month. It was so beautiful. I didn't have any of those visions like I had before I was supposed to marry Van. I was able to wear the dress Folken gave me for the wedding.

We both said our vows and said the "I do's" in front of the Priest.

"Do you Hitomi take Lord Folken as your husband in good times and hard times as long as you both shall live?"

"I do."

"Do you Lord Folken take Hitomi as your husband in good times and hard times as long as you both shall live?"

"I do."

It was official. I was now Queen Hitomi Fanel and Folken was crowned King Folken Fanel. Word spread that Folken had become king but the name of his queen was not reviled because if his little brother found out that Hitomi had married just over a year after she was suppose to marry him he would have died, that Hitomi moved on so quickly and he was still pining out for her, he hadn't been in a relationship since.

It turns out that six months later was when Van actually found out that his elder brother had married. Van has still been trying to find his love…Hitomi. Van was going to be in for the shock of his life when he goes to visit Folken and his new queen.

As for Folken and Hitomi the past six months have been peaceful and quiet. The pregnancy was going well. Folken has been very caring and supportive. The room I used to sleep in, we decided that would be our child's room, as soon as he/she was ready to sleep without their parents so close by.
