Chapter Thirty-Four

The next 3 weeks went by quickly, Folken and I would do our own things during the day and each night we would make love for hours.

One morning I was feeling pretty sick and it had been going on for a few days. Sure enough I was pregnant.

"What's wrong mommy?"

"I'm just feeling a little sick this morning, I'll be alright."

"Alright mommy." Aiko gave her mother a hug and left the room and went in search of her father.

Aiko went into her fathers study but he wasn't there. "Daddy?" Aiko knew her father was always in his study but not this time. She went racing down to the dining room but he wasn't there. "Daddy where are you?" Aiko was starting to get really upset.

"Princess Aiko what is the matter?" Kang-Lin was at the door to the dining room.

"Where's my daddy? I can't find him."

"Folken is at the lake but you shouldn't go alone."

"Alright." Aiko ran out of the room.

That girls going to go out on her own.

"SUBOSHI!" Kang-Lin yelled.

A tall muscular man with orangey-yellow hair with a blue headband over his forehead rushed into the room.

"Kang-Lin what is it?"

"Princess Aiko has left the palace in search of her father, Lord Folken. Follow her and make sure she is unharmed. She would be heading to the lake."

Suboshi didn't reply but ran out of the palace and quickly found his princess in the gardens heading to the lake which was a fair distance away for a girl nearly two.

"Princess Aiko."

Aiko turns around. "Suboshi!" Aiko ran up and jumped into Suboshi's arms.

Suboshi and Aiko spend 3-4 afternoons a week playing and exploring the kingdom while her parents are busy, tending to the kingdom's business. So of course Aiko was fond of Suboshi and Suboshi adored Aiko.

Suboshi was 15 years old though he didn't look it. He is very loyal and longing to become a knight.

"Suboshi, mommy is sick we must find daddy."

"Do you know where to find him?"

"The lake."

"Let's go." Suboshi put Aiko on his shoulders and walked towards the lake.

About 30 min later they got there and they found Folken. He was standing in the shallow water without a shirt. His Wings were unfurled, his arms were at his side and he was staring into the sky.

"Daddy!" Folken didn't here her, "Daddy!" She called again but no answer, he didn't even move. "Suboshi, what's wrong he can't hear me."

"Lord Folken!" Suboshi yelled and this time Folken heard and turned his head to see Suboshi and his daughter on dry land.

Folken looked back into the sky and his wings disappeared.

"Da…" Aiko started but was interrupted by the sight of her father almost falling over into the lake.

"Lord Folken!"

Folken had been shot with an arrow, blood was streaming down Folken's chest. Suboshi shielded Aiko's eyes. Folken pulled out the arrow and walked to the shore and that's when Folken collapsed to the ground.

In the bush.

A dark figure is now proud of it's accomplish. "I stole her man now I'll make sure Hitomi doesn't live happily ever after with this one."

The dark presence leapt on a horse and disappeared before they were found.

Suboshi was able to get Folken back to the palace very quickly.

"What has happened?"

"Lord Folken has been shot with an arrow, get the medics…GO NOW!"

Kang-Lin ran off to get the medics. Tasuki, Suboshi's elder brother heard the commotion.

"Tasuki take Aiko, anywhere just not here."

Tasuki took Aiko away into her room.

"Tasuki let me go daddy is in trouble."

"You would be more help to your father if you weren't there, Trust me."

Chapter Thirty-Five

I had left the palace for some country air; right after Aiko went on her search. She had come back to find He beloved Folken lying in the bed, bandaged.

I ran to my lovers side, "What happened to him?" turning my attention back to my husband. "Folken I'm so sorry how could this have happened? Please…please don't leave me. Folken…" I was starting to cry.

"Your Husband Mrs. Hitomi…" The medic was cut off.

"I will be just fine Hitomi. I was in the lake and I was shot with an arrow. I don't know who did it but the doc said I will be back to normal and up and about in no time." Folken raised his hand and cupped my chin and smiled. "Doc, if there is nothing more to be done please leave."

"As you wish your majesty." Everyone left the room.

Folken brought me chin closer to him and we kissed. When the Kiss broke I was sitting on the edge of the bed.

"Folken, I'm pregnant. We're going to have another little one."

"That's great Hitomi…" Folken was so happy with the news but it got quiet and there was a long silence then he looked away from me. "Are you happy here with me Hitomi?"

"Of course I am Folken."

"Please be honest do you really like it here in our kingdom with me and our daughter?"

"Folken I love you, I love Aiko very much. There is no other place I would rather be then here with you, in your arms. I couldn't be happier anywhere else, believe me."

"I believe you."

I got up and cuddled up next to my darling husband and we fell asleep.

A few days later Yukari found out that her attempted murder had failed and Folken was still alive. She was pissed.

I must find someway for Hitomi to suffer, my wedding is in 2 weeks I must find a way without anyone catching on to me. I know… it's perfect, that will be a perfect cover up, and I can kill two birds with one stone.

Chapter Thirty-Five

It was a few days before Van and Yukari's big day, Folken was up and around like he use to.

Folken and I haven't broken the news about the baby to Aiko yet. We were not sure if she would like having a brother and sister around.

Folken and I went into our daughter's room to tell her.

"Mommy, daddy"

"Aiko sweetie can we talk to you about something?"

"Okay."

Folken started, "Aiko how would you like to have a little brother or sister?"

"But what about me? Don't you love me anymore?"

"Of course we love you Aiko…" Folken started.

"Wouldn't you want a little brother or sister to play with?" I finished.

"I guess."

It was now the day of the wedding and everyone was busy getting prepared.

Yukari was putting on her wedding dress and makeup. I was putting on my outfit since I was maid of honour.

"Yukari, you look so beautiful."

"Thank you Hitomi. Oh I'm so nervous."

"Everything will be alright, you and Van will live happily ever after like Folken and me."

"I hope so." You wont live happily ever after for long me dear friend.

"Folken and I are having another little one."

"That's wonderful Hitomi I'm so happy for you." No I'm not I want to make you miserable.

In another room in the palace Van and Folken (Van's best man) were getting ready.

"I am so happy you have found someone my brother, it has been almost 3 years since you and Hitomi were supposed to get married."

"I know, Yukari is the one I want to spend the rest of my life with. I hope we can find happiness like you and Hitomi."

"We have had our ups and downs but we are pretty happy. Aiko is so excited that she will become a big sister. Hitomi and I are quite happy to be having another one."

"You and Hitomi are having another baby?"

"Yes, in less then eight months."

"Congratulations Folken. Ever since you left me when I was five and disappeared and you joined Zaibach, I never thought you would ever be the older brother I knew as a child. I never thought you would settle down and start a family."

"I have Hitomi to thank for that."

The wedding ceremony was beautiful and everyone loved it. Every one was having a ball at the reception.

"Allen It's so good to see you."

"How have you been Hitomi?"

"Oh great, how about yourself?"

"Good. Do you want some sake Hitomi? It's a special occasion why don't you let loss a bit."

"Not that's okay; I'll pass, but thanks for the offer."

"Alright. So how are you and Folken doing?"

"Great, we are having another baby."

"So that why the no sake. Congratulations Hitomi." Allen gives me a hug.

Folken walks up behind me and wraps his arms around me and kisses my cheek.

"Congratulations Folken, Hitomi just told me about the baby, I'm happy for you."

"Thank you Allen Schezar." Folken turned his attention back to me and whispered in my ear. "I owe you a dance. We never danced at our wedding. I asked for a special dance with just you and me."

"Was everyone alright with this?"

"Yes and if you don't mind I chose a song for us. Come on they are waiting."

Folken led me into the dance floor.

"Ladies and gentlemen, Two years ago Folken and Hitomi tied the not but they never had a reception, and its tradition that the newlyweds have to dance one song together so let's give Folken and Hitomi their special dance as Husband and wife." Everyone applauded.

The song started to play. (From this moment by Shania Twain and Bryan Adams)

Everyone made a big circle around us; there was no one on the dance floor. The lights dimmed down low and a spotlight was on Folken and me.

We looked lovingly in each others eyes forgetting the onlookers

Van was so happy that his brother found great happiness even when it is with his love from years ago. Van still cared about Hitomi very much.

"Folken is so lucky to get a second chance for happiness"

"I still think Van and Hitomi should have gotten married." Random people in the audience commented on Folken and Hitomi. With the last comment the people around that person just gave him the evil eye.

"Alright this is making me sick." Yukari whispered bitterly.
