“I'm telling you, Blaze, it's really freaky. Pretty, but seriously freaksome,” Ghost said into the cell phone.

“Is Nagi okay? He isn't having any sensations in the markings is he?”

“That was one of the first things I asked him. He says nothing out of the ordinary.”

Blaze sighed. “I don't know much about markings. Never studied them much. That would be Jeirn's department since he was always fascinated my any kind of markings done on the body. Let me call him and I'll get back to you on what, if anything, he knows about it.”

“Thanks, Blaze,” Ghost said. “I had one other question about it though. Could it be a manifestation of our past lives? I mean, your tattooing always reactivates under certain conditions and so does Farf's.”

“There might be something to that thought. Let me run it past Jeirn and see what he thinks and I'll get back to you when we know something more.”

“Thanks again. How is everyone in the Bayou?”

“Okay. I don't think Aya appreciated being put in his place though,” Blaze said, trying to hide the snicker.

“You didn't put him on the floor again, did you?”

“Nope, wasn't me this time. But I believe Aya will think twice before crossing one of his own breed again.”

Ghost laughed. “I always liked Ben.”

“Me too. Everyone else is fine. Isakk is still drooling over Chiro.”

“Big surprise there,” Ghost said sarcastically.

“No kidding. Yohji and Aya are fine. I'm not so sure about Oracle though.”

Ghost frowned. “What's wrong with Brad?”

“Intimate contact with a past I'm sure he's tried to forget.”

“I know that feeling all too well.”

“Okay, let me call Jeirn. I need to check up on them anyway. Gods only know if Scotland will survive with Jeirn, Ken and Sunny all in one place.”

“No joke.”

“You have something to tell me, little sister?” Gwynedd said, looking at the small dark haired girl seated calmly at her drawing table.

The girl looked up, her eyes flashing first golden brown then deep blue. “I do. It's beginning.”

“Are you certain, little sister?” said the woman standing next to Gwynedd.

The girl shrugged. “One of the gifts passed on to me was that I see more than most do, Takara. You know that.”

“I wasn't questioning your gifts. Can you see what we need to do?”

“Bring them here. The Trinity first, then the rest,” she said, her little hands shaking as she tried to hold on to the crayon.

Gwynedd and the other woman were next to the child almost instantly. “What's wrong?” Gwynedd asked.

The girl wrapped her arms around the woman's neck and buried her face into Gwynedd's shoulder. “What if they don't want me?”

“Jeirn, where are you? The reception is terrible?”

“In Ireland.”

“Where in Ireland?”

“Blarney,” Farf shouted into the cell phone.

“Jeirn, please don't tell me you're dangling Ken upside down by the ankles to kiss the stupid rock,” Blaze said, pinching the bridge of her nose.

“Of course not. I've got him by the knees.”
