Weiss Kreuz Fan Fiction / Yami No Matsuei Fan Fiction ❯ Red Shaman ❯ Hell ( Chapter 78 )

[ Y - Young Adult: Not suitable for readers under 16 ]

Do you know, what you're doing to me?

“Seiichiro.”

Tatsumi's heart dropped as he forced himself to turn and face his husband. He worried what the more formal version of his name might mean.

Watari was still staring at his feet when he asked, “Would you go find Blaze, please?”

Tatsumi nodded and walked numbly to the door of the war room. The door flew open before he could knock.

Do you know, I can't set you free?
Do you know, that at night I just ain't sleepin'?

“Ah, shit!” Star said, standing aside to let him in.

“0800 tomorrow, everyone. Dismiss!” Blaze said tersely.

Everyone in the room beat a hasty retreat except for Farf who left much more slowly than the rest. He paused next to Blaze and Tatsumi, giving Blaze a quick one armed hug and Tatsumi a brief squeeze on the shoulder before going out.

“Chiro, I don't want to do this,” Blaze said.

“Neither do I, love. We'll get through this, good or bad.”

She nodded. “Dear gods, I'm terrified beyond words right now.”

“I know,” Tatsumi said, pulling her to him and holding her tightly against his chest. “I feel the same way.”

“If it's any consolation; I love you,” Blaze said, blinking back the tears that threatened to fall.

“That is not a consolation prize. It's a miracle that I treasure every waking moment of my afterlife.”

Blaze's fingers twined through Tatsumi's as they left the war room. Each step taken seemed to be harder for both of them. They paused just inside of the living room, where Watari stood waiting for them. He was looking at the ceiling now rather than at either of them.

Do you know, I can't take anymore?

Watari took a deep breath and let it out slowly.

“I think . . .” he began then faltered, searching for the right words even though they refused to come to him. “I think I need some time.”

“How much time?” Tatsumi asked over the lump in his throat that had suddenly grown to the size of a softball.

Watari shrugged and shifted uncomfortably. “A day or so, I guess.”

Tatsumi and Blaze both nodded.

“I'll be back tomorrow evening sometime,” Watari said and with that was gone.

Do you know, what I'm livin' for?
Do you know, that you're all I have worth keepin'?

Tatsumi closed his eyes and wrapped both arms around Blaze, who seemed to be too stunned to move at that moment. When she did move, it was to slide both hands up his back and hold on to him tightly.

“Right now, I'm so glad I'm dead,” Blaze said into the fabric of Tatsumi's shirt.

“Why is that, love?”

“Because,” she said her voice catching as she tried to force the words out. “I don't think I could live through this.”

“Mom?!” Hisoka's voice said from behind them. “What the hell just happened?”

“Kurosaki-kun, why are you here?” Tatsumi asked.

“I felt everything in both of you scream.”

You're sayin' that it's over, I've got a feeling you don't know what you're losin'.

*************************Ramblings******************************* **********
As always, thanks to everyone still reading. I appreciate it.
KD-Glad you're still enjoying.
Missy-I loved the Sidhe long before Laurel K. brought them back to public attention. I've always thought of them when someone mentioned faeries. Probably because my great grandmother always told me that very pretty men were members of the Sidhe.
Chibiness-Are you still confused, dear?
Her royal Blyness-Always an honor to have you read my little story.

Thanks to the always wonderful Assassins Anonymous. Love you all.

The song used in this chapter is “I'll Keep On Believing” by Y& T (Sadly, I don't own it either)
