Chapter 7.
Aya couldn't believe that the blonde-brunette had thought that far ahead: the man hardly planned his dates which occurred on a daily basis, he never set his alarm clock even knowing that he would have to work in the shop, the man was never even sure when his day offs were, so how the hell had the man planned ahead?
Aya grabbed the book from the wire wielding assassin, and flipped; the first page was for on the eventuality of his death, the splitting of his funds and his few precious belongings. Aya raised an eyebrow the man had rewritten his book to include Aya after her awakening. He nearly gasped in shock at the amount of money the blonde-brunette had accumulated.
But none of that was important now; he flipped to the relevant page and read. Number one in Kudoh's priority was to get Aya out of harm's reach and if possible to persuade her brother to go with her. Aya looked up at Yohji about to ask him a question, only to discover that the blonde-brunette had his head within the bag again looking for something.
Yohji pulled out a box grinning triumphantly, he flipped off the lid, and Aya was surprised to discover huge piles of money.
“What?” the blonde-brunette questioned feeling Aya's gaze on him. “It's not as if we can easily access the bank if Kritiker turns on us, so I just dumped half of my pay cheque in here after cashing it.”
“What's in this box should be enough for chan, and I got fake ID's for her, she can choose one of several names, maybe she'll like one and I have an open-ended scholarship waiting for her.”
“How the hell did you pull that off Yotan?” Ken questioned.
“I've got my sources,” the blonde smirked.
“Ok well that's it, the rest of it isn't relevant, you guys can't leave I can't leave.”
“Maybe you should go and take care of Aya.”
Yohji gaped at Aya, had Aya honestly suggested that he take care of his sister? He hadn't thought the redhead would trust him with any member of the female variety far less his sister. Yohji beamed at him.
“Never mind, bad idea. I forgot to whom I was speaking.”
Yohji immediately began to sulk.
“Go where and take care of me how?”
Aya turned to find his sister had returned and was standing in the kitchen looking quite petulant. Not good.
“America to a new school?”
“No f&^%$* way!”
“Aya your language! And where are your manners?”
“Evening everyone,” she muttered sullenly. Yohji grimaced this wasn't a good sign, chan was in stubborn mood which meant that she wasn't going to agree with anything, just so that she could be obstinate. The Fujimiya girl strikes back!
Yohji was right, listening to the endless repetition of the Fujimiyas arguing, Yohji decided that in this one case he didn't want to be right.
“I'm not going.”
“You are.”
“Am not.”
“Are too.”
This had been going on for hours, well not quite but it was going on for seemingly forever. Omi's head was going back and forth like he was watching a tennis match, Ken was keeping track of how long Aya would argue with his sister, and Yohji was growing bored.
“Ok enough, how about we decide this on a later date. We assess the situation with Schwarz and Kritiker first and then we pack chan-chan if necessary.”
Aya glared at Omi for suggesting that his sister stay a minute longer in Japan than she needed to be, and chan glared at Omi for the stupid nickname he had given her.
“Fine.” Aya said after a minute's silence.
Suddenly the girl screamed; all was right in her world again. She could stay.
“I'm off to bed then ni-chan. I have school tomorrow and it's late. Night.” She quickly gave him a quick kiss on the cheek and left the kitchen.
Yohji grimaced thinking that chan's moods must have an on-off switch.
Aya suddenly remembered something important; turning to the eldest assassin, “Did you take out the camera in her room?”
“No Ay~an I left it, but I hooked up the feedback to my room, so that I can -”
Yohji never got to finish the sentence as he was soon confronted with a very pissed off Aya who was threatening bodily harm to his beautiful face.
“Kidding Aya. Just kidding. There wasn't anything in her room.”
