Chapter 3::Wednesday Cold
by Johin
'One, two, three' Ken counted, as he stared at his cup of coffee and stirring it continuously ever since Ran Fujimiya came down the stairs followed, and might I add miraculously, by a drowsy Yohji Kudou. Ken had finished making his own breakfast and had finished eating it to when the two had come down and was preparing his coffee now.
Seconds ticked away and it became minutes, the only movement was Yohji's constant blinking, Ken's stirring and the cat's prowling outside of the shop. After orienting himself with his surroundings Yohji sat down and stared at the other two in the room. It was weird that whenever he blinked some cat would yowl or purr followed by the clink of Ken's cup and spoon. 'Weird' he thought, taking care not to say his thoughts out loud.
After looking at things in a new light, Yohji saw the change in Ken as well as the change in his redheaded friend, how they had kept silent through the whole time, though he wasn't that concerned for the latter. The mood he felt changed quickly to weird to ominous. Troubled by the silence, Yohji tried to start some conversation. "So, umm...since you don't really need me for the first shift Ken could I...?"
"Go ahead I'll take your shift." Aya cut him off as he continued to watch the chocolate haired soccer player.
Yohji blinked several times again to show his surprise at Aya's offer but accepted it with thanks anyway and Ken just continued looking dead to the world, not minding the conversation taking place before him.
Time continued to run slowly as this happened and Ken seemed to get gloomier by that little fact and thought, 'Why does it have to be me who is going to tell him? I don't wanna betray Omi nor do I want to feel Aya's blade on my throat or the fact that he's going to keep on following me until I tell him' Ken thought and thought even more of ways to escape when Aya had just agreed to Yohji's wants for the day. 'I can't face Aya alone!'
"Ken, you all right?" Yohji asked, really worried at the younger man's silence. He had moved to a closer spot beside Ken, realizing that the other boy had not heard him, he waved a hand in front of the other's eyes to make his presence known.
"Huh... uh, I'm fine. Hey, would you mind if you brought Omi-kun to school? That would be real nice." Ken answered as he finally took one sip from his coffee, Yohji just nodded in agreement.
Omi came bounding in a few minutes later with a smile on his face. "Good morning guys!" he said, Ken smiled a greeting to him and Aya nodded his head in acknowledgment. He went about getting a bowl and spoon for his breakfast as silence took in, him not noticing it at all. As soon as his breakfast was ready he sat on the other side of Ken that wasn't being occupied.
"Ken-kun did you notice last night? That guy sounded so much like you. I bet if you sang you'd sound like him (1). You should go try and sing." Omi said in his cheery voice then continued on eating his breakfast.
"Yeah, he did, didn't he? Maybe you could become his rival." Yohji added in hope of adding a bit of life to the room. He moved away a bit to give some space but still sat close to the duo.
"Actually, I didn't notice but we could try and see, ne?" Ken said playfully and began to poke his best friend in the ribs. He smiled and temporarily forgot about his 'appointment' with Aya for today. An appointment that would break a promise he made not that long ago. The most important one he made to his best friend...to the one beside him.
"Do you need help in opening the shop today Ken-kun? Yohji-kun? I still have time. I'll help if you want." Omi offered after a small lapse of silence and after he finished of the last of his meal for the morning.
"No. I'll help Ken. Yohji will bring you to school because he's planning on going out. Thank you for the offer anyway Omi." Aya spoke for the first time in Omi's presence that day and it gave Omi a chill. Aya's voice had been so commanding that he suddenly realized the situation they were in a while ago.
Omi looked at Aya in the eye and made him stay silent for a moment longer. He looked down then began fixing up. "Oh. Okay then, well let's go Yotan!" Omi said and stood up as soon as he downed the last of the water in his glass, Yohji nodded and followed suit, Ken sat still for a few more minutes before seeing them to the door.
Aya had already dressed for work and had already gotten a broom for cleaning when Ken came back. "So I guess it would be a good time to explain things, ne?" Ken said as he sat behind the cashier.
Aya nodded but said, "Don't you think it would be better if we talked about this in the basement?" and he gestured towards the backdoor.
Ken agreed. 'What a day....' he thought
"Yohji-kun? What's up with Aya-kun and Ken-kun?" Omi asked after a few minutes drive through town, thoroughly enjoying the ride to school and the feel of the wind against his face. The breeze was cool that morning and anyone would have enjoyed it.
"I honestly don't know Omittchi. You know what I really wanna know?" Yohji said as his driving came to a slower pace heading for Omi's school. Omi shook his head in a negative answer and he continued, "I wanna know what's bothering you."
"So...you gonna tell me or do I have to whap you in the head for you to spit it out?" Yohji said in a hushed voice. He picked up the pace again and stopped the car before turning a corner.
"What are you talking about Yotan?" Omi asked back trying to evade the question, though a bit unsuccessfully. The silence stretched between them and it was getting uncomfortable. Omi looked outside the window of the car and tried to give an impression that he was enjoying the scenery. They made a turn on one corner and the school was seen then, it not being really far away from Koneko no Sumu Ie.
"Why won't you tell me Omittchi? Don't you trust me?" Yohji said trying to make Omi tell him his problems. He flashed a smile at the younger boy in hope that if he acted the same as he did everyday the boy would have no problem in telling him.
"I...please let's not talk about this, it's nothing really." Omi said with a sad expression, already giving up on the cheery mask, still refusing to look at the lanky blond. Both men were quiet through out the rest of the ride and as the car neared the school the tension became thicker.
The car stopped not long after the conversation and Omi prepared to get out but was held back by hand that belonged to none other than Yohji. "Look, Omi, you've got to tell me, us. I'll wait and I'll help you but please, if you keep on doing this you'll tear us apart. You, me, Ken, Aya, we'll all be torn apart. It hurts to see you with those sad eyes." Yohji explained, in a rushed voice and hugged the one addressed with what seemed like gentleness that an oniichan would give to his otoutou.
"Thanks Yohji. I just need to think over why it happened," Omi said then he continued after a few seconds of contemplation he continued in melancholy, "Ken's probably cornered by Aya now, that's why he was acting like that."
"Omi, please don't try to take this on all by yourself. You have us, Omi. You have us," Yohji said as he pulled apart from the other, looking at him in the eye, not wanting to until he knew they had come to an understanding.
"I'll tell you when I'm ready but please not right now." Omi said as he pulled away from his friend and went out of the car. He waved his good-bye and turned back to the building, heading for the front of Tamagawa Gakuen (2).
"...And that's what happened." Ken explained to his redheaded companion. Aya and himself were seated across of each other, Ken was seated on the couch and Aya on the wooden chair. "He's very young and confused and he's taking the blame all by himself. He shouldn't, actually, no one should. Not you, not me and especially not him, but I think everything took a toll on his caring mind. I mean this has happened before... "
"No, I think he has every right to feel that way." Aya said and silence loomed over them until he asked, "Ken, what did Schuldich tell you? You forgot to tell me."
"Oh so that's what you were waiting for." Ken said in astonishment that he had forgotten something yet again and laughed nervously, Aya coughed once signaling his impatience and Ken continued, "Well, he said that they'd disbanded somewhat. He also said that, they wouldn't do harm to us or to Omi as long as we don't do anything to them but I warned him that if he dared harm Omi in any way, even if unintentional, I'd kill him." Ken narrated as he remembered the events of last night punching his right hand to emphasize his last sentence.
Aya stared at the younger boy's aggressiveness and, though he would never admit it, he was surprised. He never expected someone to be loyal to a friend, also, thoughts on what the three of them, Ken, Yohji and himself were to do about Omi's problem. When the bell on the shops door rang, indicating the entrance of a customer, both men stood up. Ken was heading for the front when he was asked, "Ken, may I tell this to Yohji. He feels terrible on not knowing anything."
"I'm not the one to give you the go signal on that one Aya. I'm sorry, I'll just leave it up to you." Ken answered and then headed to the shop leaving Aya standing alone in the basement with his thoughts.
The signs of storm were there early this morning and it was raining hard this after noon. Classes were already suspended by this time and everybody headed for their houses as soon as they were outside of the confines of the school, not wanting to get soaked by the rain.
Omi was trudging along the sidewalk heading towards the opposite direction of their so-called house. He walked on even through the impending rain without looking back, brushing of the coldness he was feeling, he ran and sometimes he would slow down and walk then he would run again, he only stopped when he had reached the ruins of a building.
Omi sprinted the last length that would lead to the entrance then he entered through the destroyed gate of the wrecked building of not so long ago. Once he was inside he leaned on the gate that separated this area from the world. He walked around the area slowly, all the while running a hand on the scorched walls and the uneven parapet. He had a wistful look about him, like he was trying to remember something with that simple touch. He was startled out of his reverie when he heard the rhythmic sound of something bouncing.
"Who's there?" he asked, looking around to see if he would be able to spot the other presence he felt.
Omi feared to go round the last corner but was force to do so when no one answered him, when he found nothing there he strayed inside the ruins. He turned another corner and saw a ball; it was brightly colored with blue but was soiled, and simply assumed that, that was what he had heard a while ago. He picked it up and then felt the tears fall from his eyes, he rubbed his eyes wishing the tears to go back, but they kept falling and streaming from his eyes, he then began cleaning up the ball's black spots as he remembered the night's destruction, chaos, confusion...and happiness.
< ---------- >
Omi sighed and faced his best friend and whined, "Ken-kun, where's Aya-kun and Yohji-kun when you need them?"
Ken smiled and ruffled the other's hair while answering, "Aya had something important to do. Yotan is...he's Yotan what do you expect? Who knows where he is. It's just that I couldn't say no when Manx said it was important we started on this right away. Sorry."
"Don't worry Ken-kun. It's just fine with me."
Both men walked towards the main building of Dr3ams Corporation and straightened themselves up. Both looking completely harmless yet they were as deadly as any lethal weapon could be, more so even. When they reached the main building they broke into two parties but both headed for the main office for their target, Skiryoku Akari.
'Manx told us that he is one of the most influential men in the business but is suspected of illegal dealings of child trafficking and the like. Plus he's after Kritiker. Well, better get his mission done with.' Omi thought as they entered the building through the front door.
Omi went to the right and Ken proceeded to the left. The plan was to each his own until they got to their target's location. Omi began by walking and upon reaching the stairs, safe and away from cameras, he ran. Several staircases up he got out of the landing and dashed for the left hall on that floor, he was stopped suddenly by a girl of five years playing with a blue ball together with her older brother who looked about thirteen years old to him. What surprised Omi the most was that the girl reminded him of someone important to him, someone that hurt to remember.
He stood there unmoving for a few minutes and the girl was also the one to take away the distress that he had felt when she turned to face him and said, "'Niichan, look! We have a guest. Let's play with him!" She then scampered up to him, not giving time for her older brother to answer and asked with innocent eyes, "Wanna be my friend?"
"Nanami, don't disturb him." The boy of thirteen cut in when he caught up with his little sister. He looked apologetically to Omi and bowed low then continued, "I'm sorry to disturb you, she is really just a playful little girl." The boy said, and attended once more to his little sister.
Omi just stayed silent, he smiled at the affection of the shown by the children, but he knew a mission came first than any kind of admiration... the mission always came first. He was about to tell them to go out of the building when he heard the footsteps of others causing him to leave and continue on his mission. 'I'll come back and save you and if not someone will. If not Ken or me someone else will, I'm sure of that. I promise, both of you will live..." Omi thought positively as he ran opposite from where the sound of the other men came from.
< ---------- >
Omi stayed still even though the rain started. He made no signs of finding shelter until he moved towards a dark area.
He rounded one corner and played with the ball fondly. Everything was still for a moment until someone came up to him from behind.
"Well, well, look here. It's a kid. He looks good enough for an enormous sell." The man hissed beside Omi's ear, his hand playing with a bit of wheat blond hair, and all the other men in the vicinity appeared.
"We've been watching you kid. What's up? You wanna be sold?"
"Nah, he's probably a whore looking for someone to spend the night with."
"If he is he's mine!"
They talked like that as if he wasn't there and then he felt his instincts cut in. He squinted his eyes to see the faces of his attackers but couldn't because of the darkness. He then elbowed his assailant to cause him to be let free and as he did so the ball lay forgotten with the pile of rubble.
"What the FUCK!?" the man said but he was hit by a dart before he could even retaliate. He fell to the ground lifeless and when this happened everyone seemed to panic.
Omi prepared himself for whatever they would be able to do. 'Even if I do have the skill to beat these guys, I'm still outnumbered and my darts have a limited amount. I probably have three or four left but they're what, ten? Minus the one a while ago' His grip tightened and the gangsters waited for a few more seconds before any movement occurred.
"Look at the kid, he knows that he's outnumbered. Let's avenge Rambou!" One of them bellowed and chaos ensued after that.
Omi stayed silent, even he knew he was on the losing end, but he had to fight. His thoughts ran a mile minute on what to do if his poisoned darts were to go. 'If only I knew this would happen I wouldn't have just brought five for 'emergency'!'.
Omi was able to evade their random attacks as he ran across the ruins. One of them was already catching up to him and Omi began thinking how he would finish this misfit off. He ran a few more steps then turned and slid inside what seemed like a little make-shift tunnel, making use of his small frame. The man, that was right behind him, came after him even in a small place like that, never mind that he wouldn't fit.
Once Omi got out of the tunnel he began for the beginning of the tunnel where, apparently, his attacker was coming out off. He held the other man's throat in a tight grip; the man stilled in shock, and punctured him with the dart's poison.
Omi left the vicinity and hid in the dark putting all his training and skill as an assassin into application. After catching his breath he surveyed the area for anyone else. He stuck out his head a bit, two thugs caught him by surprise and punched him, albeit lightly, on the face. Omi returned them gratefully to the two and used them as springboards to get farther. He ran and only stopped when he knew he was a good length away from the men who were after him at that specific moment. He faced them and got his weapon, he lingered in that position until he knew his enemies were in the distance that he'd be able to hit. As soon as they reached the specific position he threw his weapons, one for each, and both fell to the ground lifeless.
The rain came down harder and it was also getting harder to see where his other attackers were going to come from, when Omi saw the silhouette of a man to his front he didn't give the other time to know he was already seen and killed him with the last of the five darts.
'Five left, Dammit! I probably would only be able to stand my ground and deflect their attack with the muscle their showing...but then again they have no brain, not even fast enough. ' He stood silent for a minute, feeling for anyone around him.
Omi heard the fall of rocks and pebbles behind him then he broke into a run towards that direction, preparing himself mentally for hand-to hand combat.
He kicked the guy in the gut then punched him hard on the nose. Done with that, he threw the guy to the wall behind them. He did everything quickly, he couldn't afford the other to have enough time to retaliate or to find any of his weaknesses, the guy fell limp on the ground and wasn't even able to fight back.
Omi was running out of breath, he didn't even know he could throw a guy twice his size to a wall with such force. 'Four left and each bigger than the one I just fought.'
He moved around and tried to get to higher grounds at least for an advantage but someone beat him to it and was knocked to the ground. He then felt all that fighting catch up to him, especially the last bout. His head hurt the most from too much thinking. He tried to get up not wanting to give in but he just couldn't move.
Another man, Omi recognized the voice as the man who spoke a while ago, stepped hard on his face and said, "Let's kill this boy!"
"Not before I've had my share of him, after all I was the one who knocked him down." Another said, thunder clashed and Omi was able to see the speaker. The man had black hair that was almost blue, and from the looks of it he hadn't taken a bath for quite sometime now, he lacked a few teeth and his eyes were red from strain.
"Fine, Hadaka, you can get some tonight but after that he's going to be sold." Another man answered Hadaka, his attacker and Hadaka just smiled deviously for his thanks.
"No, Kinsenai, I say we kill him." Another countered and he continued, "I'm going to have a nice time seeing his head cut off. All that blood spilling, besides he did kill the others."
"No I still say we sell him, Yakusatsu. He looks like he's worth a lot so let's make the best out of it." Kinsenai said wanting the feel of money against his skin.
"As long as I get some tonight I'm fine why don't both of you settle this with Gomon. Gomon, what do you say?" Hadaka interrupted both of his fellow ruffians.
"We sell him then we kill him after we get the money." Gomon answered, making the other two whoop in evil glee.
"And after a good beating to." Gomon continued and smirked, his eyes seemed to gleam an evil light.
Omi couldn't do anything but listen to them plan his end. The rain became a drizzle and he tried to make the pain go away but was unable to do anything as the one called Gomon began pounding him and throwing him from wall to wall.
"I didn't see much of that Tsukiyono boy today, except in class." Nagi said to himself as he walked along the path towards his home.
"It's good that I waited the rain out in the library or it would have been hell if Brad got his rug wet because it's so expensive. Not only that, I'm going to get a cold and will most likely 'spread germs' through out the house." Nagi continued as the rain lit up.
Nagi passed a building that was destroyed a few days ago. He suddenly had a sad look and gazed at the pile of rubble inside the vicinity of the once proud building. He picked up a pebble and threw it repetitively in the air for a few minutes of nonchalance.
Nagi was deep in thought when he heard a shrill scream pierced the air. He became alert and stayed with the shadows of the walls trying to blend with the grays and blacks, living up to his name, their name, Black, Schwarz, and when he reached the place that was the source of the scream, shock would be a complete understatement of what he saw.
Omi was soaked in his own blood and had wounds all over him. You could plainly see that he was and is being tortured. Different items were being thrown at him, rocks old pipes and some others that he couldn't and wouldn't dare to identify.
"And I thought this one didn't speak." One man said and his cronies snickered as Omi began to whimper and try to fight back now that it was apparent that he had had enough.
A flash of worry and anger passed through Nagi's face. He tried to think of why he was worrying about someone like him but then he saw a ball, a bright colorful and perfectly harmless ball that could easily be made into a weapon by him and only him.
Nagi made the ball levitate and flung it against the one punching Omi to catch his attention and flung it harder the second time around.
"What the hell?!"
Nagi stepped out of the shadows and picked up the rolling ball and began dribbling it playfully and he smiled and greeted them, "Hello. Care to play?"
"Sure we'll play, Hadaka, Kinsenai, Yakusatsu, let's beat this son-of-a-bitch." The man replied and let Omi fall to the ground, then moved forward.
Nagi winced as he heard the profanity against his mother but kept his cool and said, "Apparently you just broke one of the rules, which is to never speak a word about my mother. Sorry, time to die." With his thoughts out in the open, all the rocks around him floated in the air and the four men suddenly felt fear and saw their mistake in crossing with the young boy, fear for thinking they could win someone who was a demon.
"Well, bye now." Nagi said and all the rocks together with all the sharp objects in the vicinity came crashing down on the four thugs and was trapped in the rubble, Nagi took care not to let Omi get trapped in the pile of rocks. He stayed silent for a few minutes then started for the place where the four men left Omi, he ran faster when he heard a groan that was followed by continuous coughing
Nagi kneeled beside Omi and checked if he was hit by his own attack, even if he took care not to there was still a small chance and a stupid mistake could be fatal. After he finished checking for anymore added injury he said, "I'm taking you home, I'm going to help you but this is the only thing I'll do for you Tsukiyono." his voice still cold as before.
Omi nodded and let himself be helped by the man he knew as his enemy for eternity and the rain began to pour harder once more.
Ken sat in the dining table and waited for any sign of Omi's and Yohji's arrival but none came. It was past seven and the rain was pouring down harder, he was really worried and by now he had started to fidget. He nearly jumped out of his skin when he heard the soft jingle of the shop's bells.
"Any sign, Aya?" Ken asked as he went to the front but received a disappointing answer.
"No. We could try and call some of their friends." Aya replied as he took off his coat.
"We could but I don't want to make an issue. Omi wouldn't appreciate it. Let's try to keep it low for now. I'll be the one to go this time and you wait for them here." Ken replied grabbing for his bike's keys and heading out the door.
"Ken, no. You might get into an accident, stay here." Aya said as he grabbed Ken's arm to stop him.
"But what are we going to do? Wait here?! I can't do that Aya!" Ken said as he pulled his hand away from Aya.
"I'll go"
"No, I will, please Aya. Or at least let me come with you." Ken whispered then he fell to the ground, feeling weak all of a sudden.
"Ken, there's nothing we can do. We'll have to wait for them here." Aya said as he tried to console his friend.
Ken's head shot up when he heard the soft hum of a car and then ran to the garage with Aya right behind him.
"Yohji! Is Omi with you?" Ken asked as soon as he reached his destination. The question on where he was was forgotten just as soon.
"Omi? He's not with me. Isn't he home yet?" Yohji asked as he got out of the car and walked towards the other two.
"No, I've looked at almost all the possible places where he could be and didn't find him." Aya replied for Ken then gestured for them to take this inside the house.
"We've been worrying ever since you didn't come home for your shift! Sure a few hours is fine but this?! It's way past 'Yohji's fine people!' time!" Ken screamed at Yohji as they headed towards the kitchen.
"I'm sorry Ken..." Yohji whispered, more to the wind than to the one being addressed, and looked down in shame.
"We've got to think of more places where he'd possibly go." Aya said and sighed as the thunder roared and the winds became stronger.Upon reaching their destination the three men sat down and thought.
"Schwarz." Yohji hissed voicing out the thought the other two had not thought of.
"But that's impossible. They said..." Ken said but was cut off by Aya.
"He doesn't know that yet, Ken."
"What do I don't know?" Yohji asked as he gave them a puzzled look.
Ken took a few minutes trying to figure out how to say it when he finally took the only option, to say the plain truth. "Schwarz is gone, gone in the sense that they are non-operational in the eyes of Este."
Yohji looked shocked at first then recovered and asked, "And you know why Omi is...?" and he left the question hanging, as he knew they understood.
"That's not important now. The important thing is to find out if Omi is safe. The main question now is, can we trust Schwarz on their word." Aya said impatiently after realizing that Schwarz wasn't a trust-worthy group to them, he looked at the wall clock to show that they were wasting time.
"But...fine, explain it to me while I drive. We're going around the town and look for him. I think that's better than sitting here." Yohji said as he stood up and again got his keys to start the car and the other two complied. They shut down every light and the Koneko was left in the dark once more.
Omi lay on the bed and his body was covered with bandages. He'd been asleep for some time now and the rain continued to come down harder.
Nagi sat beside him reading a note he found on his desk when he arrived. He had put it aside for later reading and bandaged the wounded boy up. Now that he finished, he began to wonder why nobody was at home and found the reason was in the letter. In it was written the occupation Schuldich had took up and from the looks of it he still worked under Crawford but as an assistant. Nagi almost burst out laughing when he read this but kept in control, smiling instead. He read on and found out that Farfello also ended up as an employee under Crawford but had a lower status than Schuldich, somewhat like a worker bee of some such. It was apparent that the three of them had gone on a business trip and was rushed off, that being the reason why they weren't able to say good-bye to him.
Nagi sighed as he set the letter down. He looked up to check on the time and saw that it was eight thirty. "Oh well I better clean the table up then, what a waste of food.". He went out and cleaned up the said waste, he felt a bit sad that he would be alone for sometime but brushed the sadness off, it was of no use to the world.
When he finished cleaning up he sighed again and said to himself in disdain, "I was hoping to get home early and more time for myself, but nooo, I left school at four and walked to that damn building, the fighting took longer time than I imagined and Tsukiyono sure is heavy for someone who looks light...aaargh!" pounding the already clean table for a bit of emphasis
After his little rant to himself, Nagi heard a soft moan signaling the wake of the other boy. He headed back to his room, went to Omi's side and held him down. "Are you all right now?" Nagi asked as Omi relaxed as realization of the past events came to him.
Omi nodded and then asked, "Why'd you help me? I thought you hated me?"
"I may be an asshole to you Tsukiyono but I do know that they shouldn't have done that to you. Don't get me wrong, I still don't like you." Nagi replied with huff then continued, "I'll bring you your dinner then we'll get you home. I'm not letting you stay here and occupy my bed you know." He then went back to the kitchen to heat up some of the food he had cleared up and a bit of medicine for the pain.
Omi sat up with his remaining strength and stared at the trickle of water on the glass window. He looked sad as he stared outside towards the city, the city that was full of sparkling lights and that was busy with people trying to get home after work not wanting to get wet, not liking the feeling of coldness.
Nagi entered a few minutes later carrying a tray of food as Omi murmured something so soft Nagi couldn't hear. "What was that?" Nagi asked as he set the tray down on the table beside the bed.
"Nothing"
"That wasn't 'nothing'. Now, what did you say?" Nagi pushed on as he sat beside Omi.
"I said that you didn't have to kill for me. You already have enough on your hands. I...I'm not even your friend but you did that for me." Omi said in between sobs and rubbed his eyes not wanting the other boy to see his moment of weakness.
Nagi didn't know what to do, he was never faced with a problem like this before so he sat still and unmoving and let Omi cry his heart out in front of him. When he couldn't take it anymore he began to think up of something to say to the boy.
"Look, Omi, I've known you as a person who fights for a reason. I don't hide the fact that we Schwarz are evil but we also have our own reasons. Those men there I'd assure you that they were just some rats who did some bullying for a living." Nagi said trying to make his voice less harsh towards the other, he put a hand on the other's shoulder and did circles on that specific spot.
"But...!" Omi cried and hung onto the other.
"Stop this now Tsukiyono you're beginning to annoy me again!" Nagi yelled as he pulled away from the crying boy. He almost hit Omi but gained control before he did so. Nagi looked guilty for the action and said, "Look I'm sorry, but crying over something I did is not worth it so stop that now."
After getting the other to calm down he said, "Eat" then left to do who knows what.
Nagi came back an hour later and picked up the tray then said, "We'll be leaving after I clean these. You can borrow the clothes you're wearing right now just remember to give them back. I'll give back your uniform once they're clean to." and then left again.
Omi stood up slowly and tried to go after the other boy but ended up collapsing on the floor.
Nagi came running up to him when he hear the crash and shouted, "What're you doing?!" and helped the other up.
Nagi lead him to the nearest seat he could find outside his room, which was the couch in the Schwarz living area and said, "Wait here." then went off to the other room where everything he needed was.
Omi just stayed silent and thought about all the events of today, then smiled. He tried to stand once more, succeeded and stood still, waiting for Nagi to come. He smiled at his own success at being able to forget the pain of his wounds. He tried to walk around the room and oriented himself with the place his enemies called their base, their home.
Omi stood with his back facing the door, which led to the room where Nagi had gone off. When he heard footsteps he turned Nagi and smiled at the surprised look Nagi gave him and said, "Let's go Nagi-kun."
Nagi recovered from that bit of shock and grumbled, "Don't call me that." He led Omi to the garage then let him inside the car. He sighed then sat in the driver's seat and started the car up to head for Omi's home.
"Nagi-kun, thanks." Omi chirped and then went inside the shop.
Nagi just nodded in response. He was about to leave when a hand stopped him from doing so.
"What?" Nagi snapped as he turned to face the other boy.
"Wait here."
Omi ran off into the shop trying to be as quiet as possible and Nagi wanting to go home with the seconds ticking by.
Omi came back holding a beautiful flower. He got Nagi's hand and placed it on his palm, enclosed it and said, "Here, take this as my thanks...Nagi."
"What's this?" Nagi simply asked as Omi let go of his hand and was given the chance to be able to inspect it.
"It's a Morning Glory, the Heavenly Blue type. Don't look so suspicious it's not poisonous one bit." Omi explained
"I know it's not poisonous." Nagi said a bit impassively as he continued his inspection then continued, "I mean what do you suppose I do with this flower?" Nagi inquired as he raised an eyebrow.
"I don't know...keep it, press it, do anything you want to do to it just please accept it as my thanks Nagi-kun." Omi said with a bit uncertainty and fear, he didn't know why but he did.
"Fine." Nagi replied and headed for Schwarz' car without glance to his back, trusting the other not to attack.
Omi smiled then went inside Koneko no Sumu Ie to head for his room. When he reached his room he immediately collapsed on his bed but this time with a smile.
"You're not so cold after all...Nagi-kun..."

Author's notes:
1) They actually have the same voice actor (Seki Tomokazu, he's a good... no... great seiyuu)
2) There's a real Tamagawa Gakuen and I don't own it. I just used the name of the place because I don't know where Omi goes to school and also this is a public school located in Tokyo and it is a Senior High school. At least as far as I know
About the fight scene(if I can call it that) if anyone wants to make another one just tell me, because first of all, I'm not going to hide the fact that I make absolutely lousy and weird fight scenes, second, I know nothing in the arts, but if you do make the fight scene the one I made has to be the structure of the whole thing
