Weiss Kreuz Fan Fiction ❯ Just Let Me ❯ Chapter 1 ( Chapter 1 )
All right, something hit me, so I'm gonna give this idea a try. I've just finished reading the translations for the WK Dramas and if I'm mixing something up, let me know please. This takes place right at the end of the OVAs, speeds past the first Drama series (Dramatic Image I & II) and jumps into the second series (Dramatic Precious).
A really BIG thanx to all my reviewers. They are the sole reason I keep writing. I get all happy and squeaky when I see another nice review. I'm so glad to have been accepted by you guys. Means a lot to me *starry eyes*
Standard Stuff: These gorgeous bishies belong to Koyasu Takehito and Project Weiß. But Ran, Ken, Omi and Yohji have secretly contacted me and they said they all want OUT. They're currently talking to their lawyers about accepting my contract. All four guys, in my large comfy bed, A/C, good food, just getting it on alllll day. ^.~
Rating/Warnings: NC-17 for some blood/gore stuffs, also for later chapters for m/m relations. KenxRan, RanxKen. If you don't know about the dramas or haven't seen the OVAs, then Ken might be a little OOC. If you have, then you know all this. Not many spoilers really, I'm twisted the dramas to fit my own schemes. And you probably won't get confused if you don't know the story…I hope ^^;; So therefore, this gets slightly AU, but not enough.
BTW, denotes thought
Just Let Me - Chapter 1
Akira, this is for you… Ken's face emotionless as he placed the shotgun into Powell's mouth. As he pulled the trigger, something appeared that frightened his teammates. A temporary insane look of…joy appeared on his solemn face as Powell's blood splattered across his face.
His teammates noticed that Ken hasn't been the same lately. During their last mission, Ken had been rather edgy. Sure, they all knew he was hotheaded and tended to rush into things. When infiltrating target Kiryuu's mansion, Omi and Ken encountered a live tiger. Ken had been the one to leap forward and attempt to duke it out claw-to-claw with the tiger. Had Omi not shot the tiger with his crossbow, Ken would have been tiger lunch. Trained assassin or not, sane people don't lunge at tigers.
Now they were traveling around Japan in their RV and settled for a short stay in Kyoto. Ran was tending their mobile flower shop when he stopped to think about Ken. The two had feelings for each other and they were aware of that fact. But they didn't know quite what to do after that. They were constantly uneasy around each other since Ran found out in a rather awkward manner.
~flashback~
I have to talk to him. I've been feeling so strange whenever I'm around him. I get distracted, caught off guard, do foolish things…stare at him, think about him all the time. There is no comprehendible explanation for this behavior. So why do I want to talk, let alone see him? Why are my feet taking me to his room at three o'clock in the morning? Ran walked with his usual stealth and grace to Ken's bedroom. The door was wide open and inside was a very welcoming view of Ken's naked body, twisted in the white sheets. Ran was about to turn and leave when he saw Ken starting to toss around. Uncharacteristically, Ran got curious and went to the side of the bed. He leaned over, a single arm cropped up on the bedside table. Ken looked like he was having a nightmare. The brunette was moving his head from side to side, little moaning sounds and heavy breathing sounded from Ken. Ran was about to wake him up when Ken's hand shot straight for his crotch and began fondling a growing erection. The moaning sounds grew more and more intense. "Mmph, mm…R-Ran…" Ran's violet eyes grew wide as he realized Ken was having a wet dream, a wet dream that he and Ken were currently starring in. Ken's hands moved faster under the sheets as he breathed Ran's name over and over. "Ran…aishite'iru…" he gasped as the sheets suddenly became moist.
Ran suddenly put Ken's role of being the clumsiest person in Japan to shame as his arm slipped from the small table, causing them both to come crashing down loudly. Ken woke straight up at the noise and saw Ran's bewildered eyes on his floor. Ken took a second to realize that that he was sweaty and that his hand was grabbing his crotch, under a very wet sheet. OH NO! THE DREAM!! It *was* a dream though…oh wait, GREAT dream, bad aftermath…did I say anything aloud?…OH MY GOD…NOT THAT!! "Ran-err, Aya! Wait, I can explain!" he stammered as Ran unwound his long legs from the broken table and headed for the door. "I'll pay for the table" he said coldly, and slammed the door behind him.
~end flashback~
They've been avoiding each other since then. They acted normal enough when Yohji and Omi were around and they put aside all differences during missions, but other than that, they even avoided eye contact. All it ever consisted of was an emotionless stare from Ran and a scared look from Ken. Their minds were exact mirrors. All they ever thought about was that night and each other. Ran dealt with it by occupying himself in work, but was silently suffering inside. He had lived on like this long enough to deal with his own problems quietly. Ken however didn't know how to deal. If he couldn't find a reason for being, a reason for existing…he'd simply go mad. And that was precisely what was happening.
Ken found himself enjoying killing more and more. Any excuse to fight to spill blood, he'd leap at it. He desperately wanted more missions. In Kyoto, the four saw news of girls being killed with no suspects in the case. New girls kept popping up and didn't seem to end. "Why don't we take on that mission?" piped Ken. Omi explained that they didn't receive any mission for that case. It was made clear to them all, that murdering outside missions would not be protected. Killing outside of missions immediately labeled them as common murderers, subject to justice by Weiß. Ken began to rant how they didn't need Kritiker to tell them when to hunt dark beasts. Enough was enough. Unusual circumstances or not, Ran was genuinely worried about Ken. He was slowly turning into the bloody thirsty murderers he personally sent to hell. Grabbing Ken's arm, he dragged him away from the others into a nearby bamboo thicket.
"You wanna fight or something?" demanded an enraged Ken. Ran simply glared at Ken with silent, icy eyes until Ken calmed down a bit. Softer, "Ken's what's wrong? Why do want missions so badly?" "Missions? That's what you call them, but maybe you mean, 'why do I want to kill so badly?'" Surprised, "Ken!" "You'd think I'd be afraid of the missions, and at first I was. My hands still shake, but no longer with fear, but with anticipation! There's nothing else I'm good for! I'm going crazy with that goddamned flower shop!" "Ken, calm down!" snapped Ran. This was not like the Ken he'd known for more than two years. The Ken he knew was loving, warm, cheerful and full of vibrant energy. The Ken he knew before that night…
"Calm down? Easy for you to say. You joined Weiß for revenge, which you got. You joined to pay for Aya-chan's hospital bills, and she woke up from that coma. You have your happiness. You wouldn't give bullshit about other people now, would you?!" retorted Ken. "I've lost everything! Family, friends, lovers! Wait, and worse, above all that, I've lost myself. I'm no good to anybody! Leave me alone! Just let me…" love you…just let me love you. If I can do that, I can have purpose in my life. You, you'd be my purpose. But you'd never love me, let alone let me love you…. he wanted to add, but knew he couldn't. Ken swiftly turned and left to blow off some steam, leaving a contemplative Ran standing alone.
I'm to blame for this, amn't I? Ken, I'm so sorry. You can't possibly love me, I'm not worthy of being loved. You deserve so much better than me. You *do* have purpose. You *are* needed, by many, but most selfishly, *I* need you most. But I can't stop thinking about you, about that night. Nonetheless, I have to fix this. I need to tell the Ken I knew that I loved him. I'm sorry…
Two people, thinking the same thing, not being able to tell each other. Ken's sanity was growing thinner day by day. The Ken Ran had fallen so in love with was slowly fading away.

Yes short, I know. Gimmie a few million years, kay? ^^;; Or if you rather not wait, reviews will greatly serve to change my mind as to how fast I get up the next chapter.
