Takuya walked home, whistling the newest rock tune that was so popular. It was a carefree happy day and nothing could get him down or so it seemed. He had gotten off work a little early today so he could pick up Kyosuke's birthday gift. The little guy turned three today and he wanted everything to be perfect.
If Takuya had ever felt this good he couldn't remember. Things were going well, he had his job for almost a year now, the three of them had really grown into a family and for the most part his leg didn't even bother him anymore. What else could Takuya possibly want?
Sure it wouldn't hurt to have regained at least a few memories but with the way things were going he felt it wasn't really worth his worry anymore.
Takuya was almost giddy with the peace and happiness that he completely missed the car that was parked out font of Asuka's house.
Juggling the package in his arms to search for his keys, he continued to hum. It wasn't until the door was closed behind him and no one answered his call that he started to worry. Takuya set his things down by the door and went in search of his family.
Kyosuke was always the first person to great him and it was strange for the boy to miss his chance at being swung around, as was their usual greeting.
He hit the stairs two at a time and found the upstairs rooms in shambles. “What the hell?” was all Takuya muttered before he raced back down the stairs to see if a similar chaos would greet him.
The kitchen and the Den were both wrecked and he was about to enter living room when a gun was shoved in his face.
Instinct took over and before his brain caught up with the fact that not only were there people in his house they were attacking him, he had the first guy on the ground and was swinging at the next. Only when he reached for his watch for some unknown reason did the enemy gain the upper hand.
Takuya was grabbed and slammed into the nearest wall before another gun was pressed to his head still warm from being just fired. But when did that happen? He hadn't heard a gun shot! He tried to look over his shoulder to see if there was anyone injured, but he couldn't see over the very large man that still held him in place against the wall.
“What the hell are you doing in my home? Who the hell are you?” Takuya mustered his most calm and deadly voice.
“Why is that anyway to treat an old friend Kudoh Yohji?” A man just out of his field of view and not the one holding him said in a mocking voice.
“You're no friend of mine, and I am not Kudoh Yohji.” Takuya rasped after having his head smashed against the wall by the sumo behind him.
“OH but you are! I would know that face anywhere!”
“What did you do to my family?” Takuya whimpered only after he caught his breath from the knee to the back.
“You needn't worry about them anymore. They have been taken care of.” There was a grin in that voice that made Takuya shiver.
“What did you do to them?!” He was starting to lose his cool.
“Well we started with your charming wife. Did you know she screamed for you the entire time my men raped her? Then we played with the little one after he watched his momma die.”
Takuya was shaking with rage and doing everything he could to shake off the hulking man behind him. His rage got him nowhere and before he knew it he was on the floor being kicked in to unconsciousness.
