Telephones...

A miracle of man, some say. Without telephones we wouldn't be where we are today, that's for sure. Everyone use them - longdistance, shortdistance... Across the world if need be and the telephones work just fine. They are an asset to society, to let us communicate so much and so freely and many times a telephone have meant life or death for people. Of course, having a telepath on the team certainly made sure that we didn't need them for internal contact. But then, when Kritiker decided to recruit us and stuff us in the same house as Weiss - and it's a miracle we haven't killed each other yet - the need for these inventions arose again. While Weiss might be accepting having a telepath around, we still need to recieve orders from our new superiors. After a year and a half, it still feels... odd... to not be enemies again - but whomever stuffed us in the same house told us to work out our differences since we would be working together. All in all though, it was worth the look on the kittens' faces as they realized that we weren't half as bad as they wanted us to be. Nagi and Omi found each other first, and after that Ken and Farf followed - once the boy got the point that Farf isn't half as nutty as he might seem - and then... Came Ran, Yohji and Schuldig... Before they had worked out whatever relationship they have between themselves the house was in constant chaos and I don't think there was anyone who wanted to spend more time with them than absolutely necessary. But whatever they have is working - more or less regarding the nature of two of them - so neither I nor Kritiker is complaining.

Oh, looks like I've lost focus here, sorry. I was telling you about telephones, right? Well, to get back to the subject; some would say that telephones are the work of the Devil and his minions and for once I'm inclined to believe them. Not that there are a Devil, but that some kind of evil had something to do with their creation. Schuldig would have laughed his ass off at this a couple of years ago, but since telephones are going to play a major part in what is going to happen this weekend I don't think he will.

You know these calls you get. On TV, they are about people being kidnapped or people who are really, really sick and about to hit the bucket. In real life, they are the calls you wish you would get, because real life is so much more... evil. In real life, those calls are about a certain baby-sister that have found herself a boyfriend - or fiancé or whatever; didn't get a clear vision this time - and want to bring him home to meet big brother. Of course, big brother being the 'kitten' of the house, he always keeps his katana sharp and his senses sharper and isn't about to let anyone near his precious sister...

Oh yes, almost forgot, Sakura will be showing up too...

Yup! Another part belonging to Between Lovers and A Night On the Town here... J This one is slightly different, I might add more parts than just the normal three and the epilogue to get the PoV from everyone involved. Or I might just put some interludes here and there from the others, I don't know yet... J
