Chapter One: The Experiments

"Schuldich! Wake up! We've got an assignment, and we have to leave now." Brad said while throwing open the door to Schuldich's bedroom.

With a groan Schuldich sat up and looked at his door "Whaa…"

/What do you mean wake up? What's going on?/ he asked Brad as he looked over at his alarm clock.

/We have an assignment, and we need to be there by twelve in the afternoon./ was Brad's swift answer.

/But it's only five thirty./

/The place we're going to is very far away and the fastest way to get there is by train, and even then it's a four and a half hour trip. The next train is leaving at seven; it will take at least thirty minutes to get to the station. If we miss the train we'll have to drive up there, which will take five hours if we get good traffic. So get up. Get dressed. Get packed. And get moving NOW!/

/And how long did it take you to figure all this out?/ Schuldich asked as he got up and went to his closet, /And how long are we going to be there?/

/The information was given to me with the assignment, we'll be there for about two to three days, and if you talk anymore then I'm going to give you the responsibility of getting Farfarello into the car!/

"He's moody today." Schuldich grumbled as he got dressed and started to look for a suitcase he didn't think he had.

About ten minutes later he came out of his closet with a suitcase and some extra clothes. After packing the clothes away he started looking around for some small necessities.

At around five fifty he came out of his room to find Nagi half-asleep against a wall.

"Brad's wants you to put your things in the car and then help him with Farfarello." Nagi said as he pushed himself off the wall, "I think I'll wait in the car for you guys."

Schuldich quickly put his things into the car and went to help Brad with Farfarello.

It was about six fifteen when they finally managed to get Farfarello in to the car and started off to the train station.

They got to the station at around six fifty. During their eight-minute fight to the train they managed to lose one bag and Nagi. Luckily by the time they made it to the train they had found Nagi, yet never found their other bag.

Schuldich settled back in his seat on the train. They had just finished tying Farfarello up, tranquilizing him, and locking him in a closet.

"Ok Crawford. Now that were on the train do you mind telling us why we are on a train, and why we had to rush."

Nagi took a seat next to him while Brad sat on the other side of the little room.

"About twenty minutes before I woke you up I got an letter from Eset. Included was the directions on how to get to some research lab out in the middle of nowhere, also included was the time we had to be there, train schedule, and how long it would take to get there by car." Brad said, reaching up to rub at his temples. "I'm not sure why they waited till the last second to give us the information. Anyway, the research lab needs our help with some project testing. They didn't specify what the projects were, only that we had to be there incase anything went wrong."

So they were left on a train with nothing to do, fortunately they all managed to sleep for about half the trip. At around eleven Farfarello woke up and they let him out of the closet.

The train pulled into the station by eleven thirty. They got off the train and went to get a rental car. Once they had the car they set off for the research lab.

They made it to the lab just before twelve and were soon greeted by a woman in a white lab coat.

"Welcome gentlemen. I am Professor Lynn." Lynn said, then turned on her heels and went back into the lab with Schwarz in tow. "Now if you'll follow me I'll show you to your rooms, once your settled in we will start with the first experiment."

As they walked down the long corridors Schuldich became quite aware of how white everything was. I feel like I'm in an asylum.

They all came to a halt in front of four doors. Lynn turned towards them and said, "These will be your rooms. This one though has been set up to hold Farfarello." She pointed to the first door on the right.

So they each went to their rooms to unpack their suitcases then went back out into the hall where Lynn was waiting.

"Now I must tell you about the experiments." Lynn said as she started walking down the hall. "About twenty five years ago a group of eight women appeared and started wreaking havoc upon the world. Two years later they all joined together and called themselves Wahnsinn, Insanity. It was the perfect name for them because they were all legally insane. It became obvious that they all had powers, similar to yours in fact. Well Eset became quite interested in them, of course, so they confronted the girls and asked them to join Eset. The girls refused, they claimed that they were free ranged murderers and would never work for someone. From that moment on they proceeded to make it hard for Eset to do anything, so Eset started to work on catching Wahnsinn. Twenty years ago they managed to do that, but instead of killing them they put the girls in some suspended animation tanks."

She paused in the story to open a door and took them into a room. Once in side they stopped to stare at what was in front of them. There were eight girls within eight separate tanks, which were spread out across the room.

"And here they are, twenty years later and still in perfect condition. Eset wished to find a way to use their powers, that is why they are still alive." She walked towards one of the tanks, "We are going to release three of the girls, one at a time, and see if being in suspended animation altered them or their powers. Allow me to introduce you to the girls."

In side the first tank was a tall, slender woman with short red hair and two long ear tails. She was dressed in a simple black shirt and shorts. "This is Rianna, Anna for short. She and her consort Brianna wreaked havoc in the United States. They'd get themselves government jobs and then start destroying peoples lives. Rianna can see into the future, though she couldn't control what she sees she always managed to see a persons death."

She went over to the second tank, which held a girl about the same height as Rianna, with short back-brown hair. "This is Rianna's consort Brianna, Bri for short. Bri can see into the past. She used her power to dig up dirt on the higher ups. She will be the second one we release. We believe she'll be the easiest to control."

Lynn then walked around to a third tank. The girl inside this tank was taller than the other two and had shoulder length honey blond hair. "This is Yolanda Kandie (1), though she just goes by Kandie. She gained the nick name foxy devil by luring men to out of the way places and torturing them for hours, if not days. She is telepathic, and would sometimes go through towns ripping out peoples minds and leaving a song in the empty space."

The next tank held a girl about the same height as Kandie, with long wild gold hair streaked with orange. "This is Shandie. She was nicknamed The Siren; her voice is her power. Men would lose all self-control at the sound of her voice; they'd be her willing slaves. That is why we are not releasing her."

Tank number five held a girl slightly smaller than the Anns, with short messy brown hair. "This is Kerina. When she was young she was used for genetic experiments. Her DNA was combined with different strands of cat DNA. Though she looks human she has the ability to… well it's sort of like going werewolf only instead of wolf it's cat. Rumor was that she can talk to cats too, but it's not for sure. She will be the first released."

Tank six held a girl who was about Kerina's height; with wild white hair, her bangs were so long that they practically covered half her face. "This is Fiona, she is more messed up than any of the others. She has lived a painful life, now she hates everyone. She's telekinetic, luckily she was caught before she was able to gain full control of her power. She will be the third, and last, released."

Tank seven held a girl in it that looked no more than seventeen with black-violet hair. "This is Namika. She has the ability to control electricity. There really isn't much more to say about her."

The last tank held another girl who looked about seventeen, this one had short honey blond hair. "Last is Mammy-o, though she prefers Oma. She has the ability to heal or cure anyone she pleases, yet she could also make a person violently ill if she wanted."

Lynn turned around to face Schwarz, "Well now that you know them I think we'll start the first experiment."

I'd just like to say that the Weiss boys will be coming into the story later on. Also I have no idea how this story is going to go. So it might take me awhile to update.
