"Robin…If some thing happens to me, find this person." He slipped the small white piece of paper into her hair. Cupping her face he leaned in, her eyes went from the paper to his steel gray eyes. Those eyes... they were once like ice but the once icy glare melted into a look of care and concern. His thick black hair was nearly brushing against her face as his lips neared hers. She wanted so much to reach out and hold him, to let him kiss her, to let him take her away from this mess. "Amon…I…"
She sat straight up in bed, perspiration dripping down her face. She shivered as the cold air from the open window blew across her naked back. "That dream again…" It was a recurring dream, no matter how hard she tried it wouldn't go away.
She quickly slipped out of bed and into the night shirt that was hanging on the back of a chair. The hotel room was good sized, with two double sized beds, a desk, and an entertainment center with a TV on it. She slowly tip toed past Amon's bed and shut the window, he always left it open when he went to bed and it had become a habit for her to wake up every night after that haunting dream and shut it.
She pulled the hem of her shirt down a little as she walked past his bed again. She knew he was asleep but she didn't want him to suddenly wake up and get a glimpse of her bare bottom. She crept to the bathroom and shut the door before flicking on the light so not to wake him. This habit seemed to be getting old, it got annoying waking up every night to the same taunting dream, having to shut the window and then getting horrible chills. She turned on the faucet and let the tub run as she sat on the toilet cover.
"That dream…" She shook her head, what did it mean. It had been two years since they had fled after destroying factory. Amon had told her that someone needed to watch over her so she didn't misuse her powers. She believed him, at one point she thought he was going to kiss her but that was before coming around to her true power. After that he seemed distant, cold, and almost resentful. She didn't mean for it to be that way, she didn't ask for these powers, she didn't ask for any of this. Some times she wished she had never come to Japan. `But then…I never would have met him…' She shook her head, walking to the tub and sinking into the steamy water. She had so many reasons not to trust him, he hunted down his old partner, he was even going to hunt her yet she put all her faith in him. He did after all get her out of STNJ while they were being attacked.
`I don't think of you as a witch'
The words echoed through her mind as they always did. `What does he think of me then? He couldn't have meant…he thought of me as…' She had never thought about it before, what did she mean to him. He always seemed a little protective over her on missions, even off missions, he worried about her riding her vespa, saying she was too young to be riding it and it would break down.
`Too young…' She frowned at the thought of being too young, she wished she was younger and wasn't burdened by all these problems. She would be 18 in another week, she hadn't thought to tell Amon, there was really no need she thought, he wouldn't care he was only looking after her and nothing more. For all he knew she was still 15, she had never even mentioned to him that she had turned 16 the day they hunted that odd girl Chie. The only one who knew her birthday was Michael, he seemed to like looking at her files, trying to read into her past.
`Michael.' She smiled to herself, thinking about him, he was always her favorite, at times she even liked him more than Amon. He was trust worthy, he was almost the same age too, they had gotten very close over the few months she was there. Nothing romantic though, well not to romantic anyways. She'd go to visit him at night bringing him doughnuts and making him coffee. She knew he got lonely there by himself but no one else ever thought of that, they'd just go home assuming he'd play on his computer and that was it but she knew better. She knew he longed to go outside, to be with people his age, friends, the computer wasn't everything to him. `I wonder if he's found a girl friend…' She smiled lazily as she drifted off into sleep.
