Chapter 13 - Camouflage

With a hot cup of coffee in one hand, Robin sat in the hotel room. She sat staring off into space, a small smile was fixed on her smooth face. She began to stare into the cup of dark liquid that was in her hand, not even being aware of the sounds coming from the small television set only a few feet away from her. Her thoughts were on Amon, and the wonderful, strange and very interesting night that had just happened. She smiled.

With a giggle, she snapped herself out of her thinking, her cheeks were painted a bright red as she relived the night in her mind's eye. She looked up and looked around the room, feeling the presence of the silence that was there. She felt more than ever, the feeling of being alone, as her lover was gone for awhile.

Amon had left about a hour ago, to check in with the informant on any movements of other hired killers that may be coming into Tokyo. He had been hesitant to do this task, not wanting to leave the girl's side, but knew he had to do it. That is how he explained what he was going to do, then he was gone in a flash.

She understood why he had to, but she had to admit she was apprehensive for the man to leave her, even for a short amount of time. She worried for herself, but she also worried for the safety of Amon. When it came to him, this was probably the first time she had. After the run in with the Bug-Witch, she knew he was less than one hundred percent.

She tried to tell herself that he would be alright out there, that with his experience, he would take care of himself... but she still found herself praying for his safe return to her. He was, after all, just meeting the informant.

Robin set her cup down on the small table near the bed for a moment, and stood up. She moved effortlessly to the small window that the sun was streaming into and peered out the glass to look at the street many stories below.

The street was churning with humanity, and the despair of the part of town where they had taken up temporary residence. The solemn faces of people milling around this depressed part of town told the young girl of hardships that she would probably never have imagined a year ago, now in situation that her and Amon found themselves caught up in, it was actually not hard for her to understand. She found that her heart, although light, still knew her situation all to well. She just took a deep breath, as her bliss was now being taken over by the reality of it all.

She just returned to the small table and picked up her coffee, taking a small sip as she just waited for the return of the man. She was seriously hoping that it would not be very much longer before his return. The silence of the hotel room was not very comfortable for her right now, her mind flashing back to the assault they had endured with the Bug-witch only a short amount of time ago.

Minutes later, Amon arrived back, striding in the room with a fluid motion that was surprising for someone as large as he was. He looked at the girl, a large grin flowed over his broad and half somber face.

Robin looked back at him, her eyes sparkling, seeing the love he had in his dark orbs. She noted that he was carrying shopping bags in both of his hands, which made her wonder what the man was up to.

She stood up from her seat on the bed, and took a step or two towards the dark tressed man. He put his bags on the floor. He stepped right to her and scooped her up in his large arms, her feet dangling in mid-air. She was very surprised by the deep kiss he latched on to her, it was passionate and full of feeling. With a murmur of contentment, she closed her eyes and instinctively kissed him back with zest.

Once their parted lips, she was set back on the floor, her mind spinning with the passion he had kissed her with. Straightening her dress around herself, she blushed and looked at the man in front of her. She steadied herself and looked down at the bags, now very curious with what the man was doing.

" What all of these bags for, Amon?" She asked, looking up at the man.

" I will explain." He said, his face starting to change to serious.

Robin stepped backwards across the room, and sat down on the bed. The man hurriedly carried the bags to the bedside and took a seat right beside the young girl. He took her hands in his and stared right at her. The girl looked at him lovingly, trying to figure out just what the man was going to be saying.

He tool a small pause to look at her squarely in the eyes.

" My informant has given me some information." He started, not one for beating around the bush.

" Another hunter... right?" She whispered her question, hearing the sentence from the man.

He nodded in response to her.

" It's a little more than just that..." He said, staring into the angelic face of the craft-girl. " My informant said that he has heard that another hunter was entering Japan very soon, by what he could find out, it would not be very long." He sighed and continued to speak after a second of a pause. " There is someone else also, trying to ask questions about us too, someone who seems to be from Tokyo... someone who thinks we are still alive."

Robin blinked, as the second part of the man information took her by surprise.

" Someone else?" She said, her voice soft and reserved, as her mind grasped the situation clearly.

" Yes." Amon said. " It seems it is not just the Hunters from what was left of the backers of the Factory that are trying to pinpoint our whereabouts now. Others are too."

" Did your informant say who these people were?"

Amon just shook his head.

" Other informants have told him that some one was looking to get information on us... a man." He said. " His own informants could not identify who it was, but he is trying to find that out for us right now."

" STN? SOLOMON?" Asked the girl, feeling uneasy about it all. " Both?"

" He did not know just who it was that was digging for the information on us... but I would put it as a possibility that one or both of the organizations might be doing it." Amon restated.

" Are we going to have to run off again then?" The girl said, her breathing shallow as her mind pondered the thought..

Amon shrugged his large shoulders.

" That might come about, sooner that what we want..." He said after a moment, then added. " That is why I was shopping after seeing the informant."

" Shopping?" Asked the girl, not really understanding what the man was meaning by it.

" Yes, I have been shopping for the both of us." He said, a roguish type of smile flowed out of him.

She was puzzled at the man's words, as he began to pull out things from the paper bags he had been carrying. She just watched with great interest, wanting to see just what the man was up to now.

The contents of the bags were clothes, all clothes.

" We have to change our way of dressing, to throw off these people as we find ways to get out of here." He said, handing her a pile of clothes. " I just went and picked up some for us both."

Robin looked through the clothes, and found that they were quite pretty clothes he had picked, even though she had never worn things like this ever. A couple of jeans, tops and other accouterments were there, making for almost three different outfits.

" I hope they fit you, I had guessed at your sizes." He said, also taking out of bags some other clothing that seemed to be his size.

Robin looked at the clothes she had piled on her lap, feeling a little odd at the choices he had made. They were all pretty though, she had to admit.

" How did you get all of this stuff?" She asked.

" Thrift shop near here." He explained. " We do have money, but we need all we can save to get out of the country if needed to be."

Robin looked at the man, thinking. She knew that he was right about using different clothing to mask their identities, but that understanding still did not help the odd feeling she had over it. He motioned for her to try some of her new stuff on, as he stripped off his characteristic garb to put on some of what he had bought for himself.

Robin was going to go into the bathroom to try things on then stopped.

"The man had seen me naked already." she giggled to herself, still a little shy feeling with it..

She just began to strip off her long clothing and tried her new clothes in front of the man. She blushed, but knew that man was watching, and that felt great to her.

Soon, she was completely decked out in one of her new outfits. The off peach top was a little snug on her, but it was the style she knew. The jeans were form fitting, hugging her young curves gently, actuating her femininity. The outfit she finished off with small sandal like shoes, which went perfect with that she now wore.

Amon looked over and looked the girl up and down, his smile was evident. Her new clothes were very great looking on her, even though she did not even seem like herself in them

" You look so beautiful." He commented, eyeing the shapely form of Robin, painted into the off blue of the jeans.

" I do?" She asked, surprised at the comment.

" You look great." He said, his smile tellig the girl he was enjoying her brand new look.

Robin blushed brightly, as the man looked at her. She was not accustomed to a man looking at her like this, but she also felt good that he was noticing her. She could feel his eyes going over every inch of her, and that made her shiver and blush even more. She looked at what the man was wearing now, and she just had to smile.

The man was now wearing tight black jeans and a long sleeved jersey that was very tight on his all too muscular form. It fit like a glove on him, his chiseled body defined in the fabric to the smallest ripple. She noted that he had put on a baseball cap with some sort of a decal of a baseball team on, and even that looked so sexy on him. Mid-calve high boots finished off the look for the man.

It definitely did mask who he was with the marked difference in appearance, but to the young girl who stared at the broad bodied man, it just look awesome on him nonetheless.

He looked over to the girl and grinned.

" You think this would do it?" He asked.

" You look so handsome.." She said, her eyes not helping but flow over his frame hungrily. She blushed and snapped out of her leering at the man. " It does change what you look like... but I like it."

He looked at her with a smile, seeing her doing the exact same thing to him.

" Keep your hair down like that." He said, pointing out her hair still hung down and was not in her panted hair style. " It will go along way to disguise you... and I think it is pretty too."

" You don't like my normal style I wear my hair in?" She asked softly, her mind wondering what he was seeing.

" I do... but I like this too." He said, grinning.

She headed off to the bathroom to have a look in the mirror, to see what she looked like in the new duds. When she did see herself in the reflection, she could not help but give a smile.

"It does look good on me." She thought to herself, with a giggle. The man had some sense of fashion.

She went back into the main room to try on some of the other things, as her man was also doing.

She knew that this change of clothes and everything was very necessary, but one thing still scared her. Weather or not they would be camouflaged or not, there were still people out to kill them. That was a fact that could not be ignored away or dismissed, hard truths to know. Both of them knew that.

She stopped her mind from going any more by trying on the next outfit, as the man watched her with a shiny twinkle in his eye. She blushed, as she shead her first outfit to put on the next.
