Chapters/Parts: 7/?
Adam waited until Cody had gone back inside the bar; his eyes turned their attention onto Ken, who was now walking through the parking lot toward his rental. The tall blond growled lightly before going after the Minnesota native. He grabs Ken by his forearm and swings him around to face him. “How dare you, Ken, fucking accuse me of being involved in Jason’s shit, I’m the one who’s sticking his neck out making sure Jason doesn’t come between you and Chris ‘cause I happen to care!”
“You should be trying harder!” Ken calms down some as he wiped at his redden eyes before sighing and adding above a whisper, “It doesn’t matter, Adam, nothing does. No matter how much you try to help, it isn’t going to change that Chris is cheating on me. He waited until I was in Puerto Rico to go out with another man behind my back and than he doesn’t tell me about it. What the fuck is that? We’re supposed to be able to tell each other everything.”
Adam narrowed his eyes and hesitated before asking, “What if everything isn’t what it seems? What if Jason is playing games to come between you and Chris, have you ever thought about that?”
“Stop, Adam! Stop making excuses up for Chris and Jason,” Ken yells. He had a very difficult time trying to believe Chris wasn’t cheating on him, because if Jason was playing games than why did Chris, act so nervous when Ken found love bites all over his collarbone?
Adam was gradually growing frustrated. He throws his hands up and speaks, “Fine. Learn the hard way. If you insist on believing that Chris is cheating than you’re going to be the one that regrets it in the end. If I were you, I’d go and have a long talk with Chris instead of hanging out at a nightclub.”
Instantly Ken shakes his head. “No, I’m not ready to contend with Chris.”
The tall wrestler watched as Ken got in his four-door rental before loudly speaking, “You’re making a big mistake.” Adam exhales with disappointment as Ken’s car departs from the bar’s parking lot. He whispers to himself. “I hope you know what you’re doing, Ken.”

Morning arrived early and Chris was the first one in the hotel gym. For the past few minutes, he had spent doing curls as thoughts of Ken ran through his mind. It felt so strange not being able to roll over in bed to hold Ken in his arms. He missed him terribly and hoped whatever Ken was going through would end soon.
Chris lifted his head as sounds of the gym door creeks open. Instantly he smiles at the sight of his fellow co-worker, Matt Hardy dressed in gym shorts and a worn out Bart Simpson t-shirt, which read “Eat My Shorts” next to the cartoon character.
“Hey, Matt,” said Chris as he continued to do sets of curls.
“Hey Chris, I guess you’re an early bird like me, huh?” said Matt with a smile, he walks over to grab for a barbell from a rack nearby. He sits on a bench across from Chris and didn’t hesitate to ask, “So where’s Ken? I’m surprised he isn’t down here with you.”
Chris sighed deeply he wasn’t expecting Matt to ask about Ken. “Um… he left me.”
Matt frowns with confusion. “That’s horrible, man, I’m sorry. I thought you and Ken were very keen to each other. What happened?”
“I wish, I could tell you. I haven’t spoken to Ken since a few nights ago.”
Chris instantly went quiet as tears gradually filled his eyes. He glanced briefly at Matt as a few droplets managed to escape and fall down his face. Quickly he covered his face with his hands and cried. Matt placed the barbell down on the floor before switching benches to sit next to the weeping blond. He pulled Chris into comforting arms and speaks as he rubs his back soothingly, “Shh… please don’t do this, Chris. I’m sure whatever’s bothering Ken. It’ll all pass soon and he’ll be back here in your arms before you know it. Ken loves you. I see it in his eyes every time he talks about you.”
Chris pulled away slightly to wipe at his swollen eyes as he questioned, “If Ken loves me than why did he leave me? I thought you’re supposed to work things out when you’re in love.”
“Not everyone handles things the same way. Maybe this is Ken’s way of dealing with a situation. Maybe he felt overwhelmed and he needed some space.”
“I hope that’s all,” whispers Chris. He wrapped his arms around Matt and buried his head in his shoulder as more tears fell from his eyes. Matt turned his head to press a kiss to Chris’ temple as his hand caressed his back.
Jason chuckles sadistically as he watched with enjoyment through the hotel gym window as Matt held Chris in his arms. Neither one saw him as he raised a Polaroid camera and snaps a photo. Jason grabbed for the Polaroid shot as it emerged from the camera and watched with pleased eyes as images of Chris and Matt hugging appeared. The sneaky blond made his way back toward the elevator just in time to see Ken get on one of the machines from a distance.
“Perfect.” Jason smirked.

Ken released a profound sigh as the elevator doors opened. He steps off the lift and makes his way down the corridor toward the hotel room he had shared with Chris. He decided to grow backbone and confront his so-called lover. He wasn’t going to let Chris stomp on his heart and get away with it. He stared at Chris’ closed hotel room door for a long second before lifting a hand and knocking. He hoped Chris would answer.
A frown forms on Ken’s face as minutes pass and the door never opens. He grows impatience and desperately he grabs for his wallet and pulls out a credit card. He uses it to pry open the door. Ken walks into the room with an intensified frown, as everything in the room was dark. He turns on a lamp light and sighs with disappointment as he found clothes scattered all over the bed, but no sign of Chris anywhere. Ken glanced down at the bed as one hand picked up one of Chris’ dress shirts. Gradually he brings it to his nose and inhales the sweet aroma as tears form.
Suddenly Ken is startle by a knock at the door; he turned and grew confused as he spotted a small brown envelope mysteriously lying on the floor. He hesitates before returning the shirt to the surface of the bed. He walks close to bend down and pick the envelope up. Ken stares at it with apprehensive eyes before tearing it open. He reaches in the envelope’s alcove and pulls out a Polaroid photo. Ken could feel his heart drop in his stomach as he turned the photo over to find Chris in Matt Hardy‘s arms. On the bottom of the photo in huge black marker it read:
THE WHORE SCORES AGAIN
And it wasn’t with you =)
Ken frowns as he quickly opens the room door to find nobody on the other side. He steps out in the hall, glancing around hoping to find a clue as to who could’ve planted this photo. Right now, it didn’t really matter. Chris was up to more of his tricks it seems apparently.
The light haired wrestler stared at the photo for a long time before raising an eyebrow. Wait a minute, he knew exactly where this was taken and it had today’s date and time on it. He looked at a wall clock before balling the photo up in his fist. Ken quickly got on an elevator and made his way down to the hotel gym.
It didn’t take long for the machine to reach the first floor. Ken didn’t waste any time getting off the lift and making his way down the corridor toward the gym. His eyes immediately grew livid and jealous as he spotted Chris in Matt Hardy’s arms. Suddenly Ken’s anger gets the best of him and he found himself ripping the gym door back. Without warning, he tackles Matt off the bench and onto the ground.
Chris gasps sharply as Ken punched Matt repeatedly across his face. “Oh my god, Ken, stop!” He pulls at Ken’s waist trying to get him off the dark haired wrestler.
Unexpectedly Ken turned and nailed Chris across his jaw with full force not on purpose, but by accident. He watched with horror as Chris fell to the ground. Ken was in so much rage, he didn’t realize that he had hit Chris. He quickly went to his knees beside the Canadian as instant tears fall down his face. “Oh my god, I’m so sorry, Chris.”
Chris lifted his head to look at Ken with a mix of hurt, tears and now anger. He pulls himself into a sitting position before shockingly pushing Ken away from him. He whispers, “Leave me alone.”
Ken glanced from the ground to Matt than toward the gym’s entrance in time to see Chris leave the room. Things seem to be getting worse between them instead of getting better. He wasn’t for sure how long it’d take Chris to forgive him for that punch even if it was inadvertent.
