Jason stared down into the red flushed face that belonged to his ex-lover, Chris Jericho as he used the belt around his neck to squeeze the life out of him. He growls, “No, this isn’t good enough, not for a whore like you.”

Unexpectedly he removed the strap, throws it across the room before grabbing fists full of hair with both hands, he pulls Chris’ head up with force and roughly head butts him. He watched as Chris’ head returned to the floor dazed before bawling up his fist and repeatedly punching him viciously across his face. Blood spewed from Chris’ nose, mouth and various cuts that appeared on his flesh thanks to a ring Jason wore on his hand. Jason observed with pleased eyes as he stood to his feet, Chris’ face was covered with blood and bruises gradually made their appearance on his skin.

Jason stretched his foot out and roughly, he kicks Chris in his head. He smirked with confidence, as Chris was unconscious and not moving. He didn’t bother to dial for emergency just backed away toward the room door without an ounce of remorse in his eyes. He turned and left Chris to perish in his own blood.

Ken released a disappointed sigh as he departs from the hotel gym; he glanced back through the window as Matt Hardy returned to the bench to do curls. He was angry with himself for letting his insecurities get the best of him. All this time, he should have just confronted Chris about Jason’s text message back in the locker room after Wrestlemania instead. He turned his attention to the hotel lobby and the elevators, pondering whether he should go upstairs and finally talk to Chris about everything. He loved Chris too much to leave things as they were between them.

Therefore, without hesitation Ken walked over to one of the elevators and pressed the ‘up’ button. He gets on the lift as soon as the doors open. When it finally reached the correct floor, Ken wasn’t reluctant to get off the machine quickly and slightly rush down the hall toward Chris’ hotel room. He wanted to hurry just incase Chris had decided to leave the hotel to avoid him. Ken knew Chris already too well to know what his next step would be.

Gradually Ken slowed down his pace and instantly grew confused as Chris’ room door was gaping. Nervously he walked close praying that when he opened the door that he’d find Chris and not an empty space again. Ken pressed the palm of his hand to the surface of the wood and hesitantly pushed the entrance further opened. Immediate horror filled Ken’s eyes as he found Chris a bloody heap on the floor.

“No!” Ken screamed as he hurried to Chris’ side. He dropped to his knees and pulls Chris into his arms tightly. He weeps, “Oh my god. What happened to you?”

He lets go slightly to stare down into Chris’ unconscious blood stained face as tears fell from his eyes. He brushed a hand gently through his hair regretting some of the things that he had said to Matt downstairs.

“Chris, please talk to me,” Ken begs above a whisper as he rocks Chris in his arms. He glanced back at the opened room door and screams, “Somebody help me! Help, please!”

“Ken.”

Ken gasps at the soft whisper of his name; he turns to find Chris’ eyes scarcely opened. Immediately he caressed his cheek with a mix of relief and sadness. “Thank God, I thought I had lost you.”

“I’m not going anywhere,” Chris whispers in a strained tone.

“Who did this to you?” Ken questioned as he tried to gain composure.

“Jas--… it was Jas--” Chris couldn’t get any more words out before returning to a cataleptic state.

Ken frowns with worry as he shakes Chris lightly. “Chris… Chris!” When Chris doesn’t answer, Ken cries loudly as he speaks, “Don’t you dare leave me, Chris! Don’t you leave me, you hear me!”

Ken breathes rapidly as he glanced around the room and thankfully spotted an old fashion telephone resting on the nightstand. He removes himself from the floor to sit on the edge of the bed. He grabs for the receiver with a shaky hand and dials ‘911’. Ken quickly described what had happened to Chris and gave them directions to the hotel.

After a few extended minutes, emergency crew made their way inside Chris’ hotel room. Ken kissed the back of the comatose blond’s hand and whispers, “I’m not going anywhere, I promise.”

Ken stands and moves out of the way so EMTs could tend to Chris. He watched with tearstained eyes as they placed Chris onto a stretcher. He looked at one of the workers and asked, “Can I go with him, please?”

“Yes, sir.”

Ken followed the stretcher out of the room, immediately he was greeted by a confused Adam Copeland. He frowns at the tall wrestler as tears continued to fall from his eyes.

“What the fuck happened to Chris?” questioned Adam as he scanned his fellow Canadian’s bloodied face.

“Jason Reso happened,” answered Ken before continuing to follow the stretcher toward the elevator.

Adam sighs sadly as he placed a hand to his forehead, he felt slightly responsible since he’s the only one that knew Jason was in town. He should’ve told Ken at the bar, but unfortunately, with all the tension up in the air, he had forgotten. He stares down the hall before hesitantly going after Ken and the stretcher.

“Wait, Ken, there’s something you should know… I… I should’ve been up front with you at the pub. I…” Adam grits his teeth before adding, “I knew Jason Reso was here.”

At the immediate ricochet of the name “Jason Reso” from Adam’s mouth, Ken stopped walking with the stretcher. Unexpectedly Ken grabbed Adam roughly by the collar of his shirt and slams him back first against a wall nearby.

Ken stared dead into Adam’s green eyes and growls, “Tell me where I can find Jason.” Gradually he pressed the sole of Adam’s spine into the concrete behind him.

Adam winces as sharp pain shot through his body. “I don’t…”

“Don’t feed me any bullshit, Adam! Tell me where the motherfucker is, now!” Ken demanded as he pushed Adam’s back tighter into the wall.

Adam screams as pain intensifies. “I don’t know, Ken! If I did, I’d tell you, honestly I would.”

Ken let go of the tattooed Canadian and placed frustrated hands on his hips before suddenly punching him sadistically. Adam caressed his face as Ken glared down at him. “Give that message to your ‘boyfriend’. If I see Jason -- he’s a fucking dead man for what he did to Chris.”

Adam sighs softly and shakes his head as he watched Ken get on an elevator with the emergency crew and Chris. This was all down to Jason and Adam was going to make sure he paid for everything.
