Sanctuary

"What would this life be were it not defined by despair...But by hope?"

Hidden in a dark sanctuary
Remaining coated within the shadows
The bloody sword was drawn
And thus the battle commenced

Drawn into the lustful dusk
He could not resist its gravitation
Pulled into this black hole
He was seized and trapped

Dancing among the flames
Playing the sorrowful tune
Guided by the forlorn delusions
He was hunting for providence

No choices were given
And brought upon the hated
Twins stars of the Major
Destined for one to end

Looking into these dreams
Calling them nightmares
He was divided
Unable to comprehend these useless days

Predilection for the hunted
Where his choices were distorted
Coveted by the presence of the shadows
He was but entranced by the looking glass

Desires swirled for this sanctuary
A world where everything was as this simple utopia
But a lie it was
And caused this deafening conclusion

Editor's Note: This poem was born a little while after Jia re-watched the X movie, and when it came to the ending when Kamui was clutching Fuma's head, she said the idea poped into her head. Anyways, hoped you enjoyed the poem. The quote comes from a manga called "SkyFall". I have inserted part of the quote into many other fics/poems.
