It was so dark. He couldn't see anything. How long had it been since he'd gone outside? How long had he been in this cage? The heavy chains bound him to the cold stone prison. He'd tried to escape before, but he had been caught and nearly beaten to death. His broken and weak body no longer held enough strength. Weak from his injuries and delusional with fever, he barely had the strength to move. His breathing was shallow. His captors were cruel, denying him water and food. At first they hadn't, but after his escape they had changed their minds. He was thin, almost emaciated. He was also severely dehydrated. His aqua eyes were dull and dead, silver hair limp and matted with dried blood.
His mocha colored skin was littered with injuries and dried blood. His clothes were torn and bloodstained.
He was currently asleep, trying to perhaps find solace from his nightmarish world.
-
Canaan had not heard any good news in a long time. Not since chaos had been taken by U-TIC. chaos had gone to investigate their doings on a remote colony.
U-TIC had returned his torn and bloodstained orange and blue vest to them days later along with his ID issued to him from the Kukai Foundation and a note. They were going to be holding him captive. They could tell that he was different from an average human. They were interested in finding out more about him.
That had been three months ago.
Since then they had been desperately searching for chaos. Until now, there had been no leads.
Mary, after hacking into countless U-TIC ship logs, had finally discovered his location. Now, along with two ships from the Federation to assist them, the Durandal was on an intercept course.
Canaan just hoped that chaos was alright.
-
The sound of the door creaking open woke chaos.
Three guards stepped in, the door slamming shut behind them. chaos felt a sense of dread settle into a tight knot in his stomach. He knew something bad was going to happen.
“Captain said we could use you to relieve our boredom. Even better that you're so pretty.”
chaos' eyes widened.
Please let this all be a bad dream! Let me wake up!
The three approached him.
“And you're in no position to resist.”
chaos didn't even have the strength to fight back as they tore off his clothes. His throat was too dry for him to scream. All he succeeded in doing was coughing up blood.
In the end, all he could do was cry as they raped him again and again. Eventually, the pain and blood loss grew to be too much and he lost consciousness.
-
“Little Master, there's the ship up ahead!” Mary cried excitedly.
“All hands to battle stations! Disable that ship!” Jr. ordered. “Boarding team get ready to dock!”
Everyone scrambled to their places.
Canaan just hoped to find chaos alive.
-
The cell door gave easily when Ziggy kicked it.
This was the last unchecked cell. It had taken them far too long, in Canaan's opinion.
The Realian peered into the dark room and immediately spotted his lover.
Rushing to his side, he knelt beside him. He was alarmed at the state chaos was in. He gently touched chaos' face.
The youths' aqua eyes slowly opened. The dull orbs met the Realians' brilliant gold.
“Canaan…? You….came….”
The voice Canaan heard was hoarse, barely above a whisper. chaos coughed weakly, blood spilling from his cracked and dry lips. As the chains were removed, the boy slumped into Canaan's arms.
“Everything's going to be fine now,” Canaan whispered as he held the boy close-being careful of his condition. “I'm here now.”
Someone handed Canaan their coat and he gently wrapped chaos in it. chaos gave him a tiny smile before falling back into unconsciousness.
Canaan rushed him back to the Durandal.
-
chaos was in a coma. His body simply couldn't take anything more. He lay still in the Durandals' medical bay. A tube was down his throat, supplying oxygen to his weak and battered lungs. Another tube went down his nose into his stomach, attached to a bag full of nutrients. Many I.V.s were in his arms, providing blood, blood products and fluids to his body. His wounds had been treated and bandaged.
The doctor gave a report. It was worse than anyone had thought.
“He's severely malnourished and dehydrated. He's lost lots of blood and will require several transfusions. He's been severely beaten and raped numerous times. Due to the conditions he was kept in, his eyesight has been permanently altered and he is now blind. Two ribs are cracked, the rest bruised. I'm surprised neither of his lungs collapsed. His left foot is fractured as is his left wrist. As you know, he is currently comatose. We would use nano technology to heal him, but a past report indicates that his body rejects nano technology. Therefore, his chances right now of survival are slim. He may not wake up.”
-
Canaan went to chaos' side as soon as he was allowed.
It was scary to see all the tubes and wires running to and from his body. Machines beeped as they monitored his vital signs. The respirator hissed. All these things were what was keeping chaos alive.
“I'm right here,” Canaan murmured softly as he gently (and carefully) touched chaos' face. “I won't leave you ever again…”
There was no response.

End chapter.
Why does chaos' body reject nano technology? I think he's a divine being, so that stuff doesn't work or something like that. That's my thoughts anyway.
