Hey, everyone, if you are reading this, then you are in my brand new Sailor Moon/Yu-Gi-Oh GX crossover and no, it has no relation to `Destiny Stars' if you need to know. This is an Alternate Universe version of Season Two of Yu-Gi-Oh GX crossover with Sailor Moon, Yu-Gi-Oh R, and Inuyasha, as a bit of a plot twist. However, this story is a lot `darker' than my other Yu-Gi-Oh GX/Sailor Moon crossover, through it has a few of the same `features'. Like in `Destiny Stars', Jaden Yuki is still Serena Tsukino's/Sailor Moon's brother from the Moon Kingdom, Prince Judai Serenity, the tsuki-no-ouji or the Moon Prince, and Alexis is still Princess Arinna from the Sun Kingdom with Jasmine and Mindy still being two of her Sailor Scouts, the Zodiac Sailor Senshi, but that's all that stays the same. This plot has a radically different from Destiny Stars and here's why:

Story Summary: Around one year after the Sailor Scouts defeated Sailor Galaxia and Chaos, they decided to go to Duel Academy with Serena, the Inner Sailor Scouts, and Hotaru becoming new students with Hotaru managing to skip a grade to allow her to come to Duel Academy and the rest of the Outer Senshi, Amara, Michelle, and Trista along with Darien become new teachers at Duel Academy. Hotaru and the Inner Sailor Scouts, including Serena, managed to make it into Ra Yellow Dorm and become part of the new student body during Jaden Yuki's second year at Duel Academy. Soon enough, Serena and the girls become friends with dueling hero and his friends. Along the way, they follow his adventures with Jaden's duel with Aster Phoenix, his loss, Jaden's rematch with the Neo-Spacians, and through the beginning of the Society of Light's takeover of the Obelisk Blue's dorm along the way with the girls managing to make it into Obelisk Blue. However, when the Obelisk Blue dorm is turned into the White Dorm, things get sour, especially for our Moon Princess. Like a thunderbolt, Ami, Mina, Rei, Lita, Hotaru, Amara, and Michelle are brainwashed by the Society of Light and soon after, our Moon Princess gets her greatest blow when her beloved Darien is also `turned white' as you can say, leaving her with only Trista, Luna, Atriums, and her new friends, including Jaden Yuki for support. Heartbroken, Serena experiences something that she never felt before . . . hatred. She hated Sartorius and what he has done to her friends. However, some relief comes when after Darien is brainwashed, Serena learns that Jaden is her brother from the Moon Kingdom, Prince Judai Serenity, and he is heartbroken for the loss of Alexis Rhodes to the Society of Light. On the meanwhile, Syrus, Jasmine, Mindy, Atticus, and even Crowler are brought into the Society of Light, leaving only Tyranno Hassleberry, immune the effects of Sartorius' evil powers, by Serena's, Jaden's, Trista's, and our two feline guardian's side. However, when they are filled with despair, anger, and rage, the mysterious Sailor Earth, Earth's Sailor Soldier created by the powers of the Golden Crystal of Elysion, comes to Jaden and Serena, offering them a chance to defeat Sartorius and the Society of Light. Brokenhearted as they are, they willing accept and Sailor Earth leads them into the abandoned dorm where they find the seven Millennium Items and the true Black Crystal of Nemesis, Wiseman's `Black Crystal' was one that he created, not the true Black Crystal of Nemesis, waiting for them. Sailor Earth explained that the only way to beat Sartorius and the Society of Light was defeated with the only element that can balance out light: Darkness. Jaden and Serena willingly infused their bodies with the powers of the Black Crystal and the shadow powers of the seven Millennium Items with Jaden taking the Millennium Rod and Serena taking the Millennium Necklace. Also, Serena gets a new Sailor Scout form known as Eternal Sailor Eclipse, the Sailor Scout of Light, Shadows, and Balance and Sailor Earth gives them the three Egyptian God cards along with some powerful new cards based on shadows and the Silver Millennium. Infused with these new `dark powers', Serena and Jaden prepare to unleash their wrath and their new `dark looks' on the Society of Light.

And they get their chance when Yugi and his friends, Joey, Tea, Tristan, and Mai, along with Marik and Ishizu, arrive to investigate a new evil that appeared on Duel Academy, the Society of Light, by becoming part of the administrative body. Also, none other than Inuyasha and Kagome also come to Duel Academy as well! Kagome to become a new student and Inuyasha is there to protect Kagome. When there, they are greeted by the Society of Light, with Jaden's and Serena's brainwashed friends and beloveds with them, but they are interrupted by the new and darker Serena and Jaden. Needless to say, their new `dark looks' shocked Jaden's and Serena's brainwashed friends and beloveds as well Sartorius, which is rare, and the whole of the Society of Light. The new `darker' Serena challenges Chazz to a duel and Chazz accepts, not knowing that Serena turns the duel into a Shadow Game. And practically horrifying everyone, expect for Jaden, Serena ruthlessly beats Chazz down by using the Shadow Game to drain Chazz's strength and then give him the final `beat down' using Slifer the Sky Dragon. Then adding insult to injury, Serena just goes up to Chazz and rips his White Veil spell card to shreds. Even Trista, Luna, and Atriums are horrified to see this `dark chance' within their Moon Princess. As Inuyasha, Kagome, and Yugi and his friends begin their `new lives' within Duel Academy, Serena and Jaden go forward with their plans of revenge against Sartorius and the destruction of the Society of Light.

However, will they succeed in their plans? Plus, even if they do succeed, will Jaden and Serena lose themselves to their anger, rage, and darkness in the process? In this story, other new allies and enemies will appears and the lines of good and evil will blur and cross.

Chapter 1: Trail to Tears, Part 1

(One day on Academy Island; in the middle morning hours)

Today, we find ourselves in a beautiful sunny morning near the edge of a forest overlooking the ocean on Academy Island, home to Duel Academy, Seto Kaiba's famous school for Duel Monsters, the most popular and probably number one game in the entire planet Earth. However, we find a female figure resting her head and back on a tree. When we get a closer look, we find that this female figure has beautiful deep blond hair in two familiar odango pigtails with beautiful cerulean blue eyes and she is wearing a female Obelisk Blue uniform with the familiar blue colored high-heeled boots and blue fingerless gloves as well, revealing her pink colored fingernails. It is none other than Serena Tsukino, Age 16, also known as Sailor Moon, Champion of Love and Justice, and who is reincarnation of Princess Serenity, last heir to the throne of the long lost Moon Kingdom, destroyed by Queen Beryl and the Negaverse millennia ago. However, unlike other days that we see her, we find our Moon Princess looking down at a picture of her friends, the Sailor Scouts in their civilian forms, and her prince, Darien, together in the aftermath of the final battle of Galaxia and Chaos. All of them look happy and excited, ready for the future, but our Moon Princess sheds tears down her cheeks as she solemnly looks at the picture.

Serena thinks in her mind, sadly, “Why? Why did HE have to take them away from me? He needs me since I'm this `Chosen Duelists' like Jaden Yuki and Aster Phoenix. Why did Sartorius go after my friends and Darien-chan and take them away from me? I should have helped them. I should . . . I should have protected them. Now, they are under his control . . . in that Society of Light.” The reason why Serena is crying is because Sartorius, the evil leader of the Society of Light, has brainwashed all of Serena's fellow Sailor Scouts, expect for Trista AKA Sailor Pluto, who managed to avoid their fate, into the Society of Light. And now, recently, Darien Shields AKA Tuxedo Mask tried to stop Sartorius, protect Serena from the Society of Light, and tried to get the others back through a duel with Sartorius, but in the end, even through he fought valiantly for his love and his and Serena's friends, suffered the same fate as Serena's friends and brainwashed, joins the Society of Light. Heartbroken, Serena nearly transforms into Sailor Moon in order to kill Sartorius. That's right, everyone. Serena wanted to kill Sartorius for what he did, but she held back when two of her brainwashed friends, Ami Mizuno AKA Sailor Mercury and Mina Aino AKA Sailor Venus, protected Sartorius from her. Now, all she has left is Tyranno Hassleberry, a new friend that she made in Duel Academy, Luna, Atriums, Trista Meiou, and Jaden Yuki, who Serena found out recently that he is her brother, Prince Judai Serenity of the Moon Kingdom. However, her `reunion' with her long lost brother didn't make up for the pain that she felt with her friends and beloved taken from her through Jaden Yuki knows exactly how she feels.

Ever since Chazz brainwashed the Obelisk Blue dorms, Jaden was losing friends one after one. First, it was Alexis Rhodes, Jaden's female friend, top student of Obelisk Blue, and the girl he loves, even through he is unable or unsure, with Jaden's carefree attitude, lost to Chazz and was brainwashed. Next, Jaden's best friends, Tyranno and Syrus, were captured by Mizuchi, Sartorius' sister, and Aster and he were forced to duel her in order to save their lives. After the duel ended and Jaden's two friends were saved, Aster and Jaden learned about the terrible truth about Sartorius. However, after that duel, things didn't get better for our `Chosen Duelist', it got worse. Bastion Misawa, top student from Ra Yellow, was also brainwash into the Society of Light after he dueled Chazz. Soon after, Syrus was challenged to a duel and he gave up when Sartorius went into Syrus' mind somehow and convinced him to give up . . . for the reason that Sartorius promised to return Zane Truesdale, who has become the `dark' Hell Kaiser, back to his `old self'. Soon after, Jasmine, Mindy, and Atticus, the only members of Obelisk Blue that weren't brainwashed were `pulled' into the Society of Light. Jasmine and Mindy through a duel with Alexis and Atticus with a duel against Sartorius in an attempt to get his sister back from the Society of Light. Finally, even the temporary chancellor of Duel Academy, Doctor Crowler, was pulled into the Society of Light, but Chancellor Sheppard recently returned and that made sure that no `serious damage' is done. All Jaden had left to stand by his side was Tyranno Hassleberry, the `Military Duelist' that had a dino bone inside of his leg, and the power from the spirit of the dinosaurs inside, thankfully, made Hassleberry immune to Sartorius' brainwashing powers.

Finding out that Serena was his sister and the majority of his memories from the Silver Millennium returned to him didn't ease the ache in Jaden's heart. In fact, it made him feel worse knowing about his sister's situation and vice-versa with Serena. And by this time, the situation on Duel Academy is terrible with everyone from the Obelisk Blue dorms, minus Serena, and Ra Yellow dorms, expect for Hassleberry, in the Society of Light. The only non-brainwashed dorm was the Slifer Red dorm and Jaden, Serena, Hassleberry, and Trista can only do so much to protect them and it will be a matter of time until the Society of Light starts to brainwashed Slifer Red students. The good news is other than Doctor Crowler, none of the other teachers and Chancellor Sheppard are in the `grip' of the Society of Light, but the bad news is that it will be only a matter of time before Sartorius targets them and Chancellor Sheppard, feeling `bad vibes' from Sartorius, is practically powerless to do anything unless there is evidence of any wrongdoings by Sartorius or the Society of Light.

As Serena continues to cry over the photo of her friends and beloved, she thinks, totally distraught, “Why? Why did this have to happen? The girls and I were coming to Duel Academy to have a great time and learn to be incredible duelists. I was expecting fun, sweet lessons about Duel Monsters, and awesome duels for my chance to prove that I'm great at something, not evil `cults' and brainwashing. How did this all happen?” Serena wipes the tears from her eyes and thinks, “All this started when we were getting ready to take our `field exams' against the teachers and their `test decks'. I was so excited to use my own `Cyber Angel' deck, including my three best cards. The ones that contain three of the greatest duel spirits that I ever met . . .”

Flashback; Around the start of the school year at Duel Academy in Domino City

Now, we find ourselves in the Kaiba Dorm where the `field exams' in the form of Duel Monsters matches with applicants for Duel Academy. Within one of the `dueling fields', we find our 16 year old Serena Tsukino, wearing bright yellow shirt, pink skirt, white socks, black female shoes, and with a duel disk that has a dueling deck inside attached to her left wrist facing against an `teacher' with brown hair and green eyes wearing purple-clad version of the male Duel Academy uniform for Obelisk Blue.

The male `teacher' says, in a plain tone, “Good afternoon, young scholar. What is your name?”

Serena exclaims, excitedly, “The name is Serena Tsukino, sir!”

The male `teacher' tells Serena, with a smile, “Well, you seem very excited today, Serena-san.”

Serena nods her head and says, excitedly, “Yes, I am, sir! I just can't wait to get into Duel Academy!”

The male `teacher' tells Serena, with a smile, “Ah, but you have to pass the entrance exam first and you still need to do your field test. I am Michael Trenta and I will the one to test you, Serena-san. Are you ready, Serena-san?”

Serena nods her head and replies, “Yes, sir, Michael-sensei!” The two of them then activate their duel disks, their life-point counters display 4000 life-points, and both of them draw five cards from their decks.

“Let's duel!” the two duelists say in unison.

Starting Scores:
Michael: 4000
Serena: 4000

Michael draws one card and says, “I shall begin!” Michael looks at his hand, puts one card on his duel disk, and says, “First, I will start with Vorse Raider in attack mode.” Soon after, the man-beast warrior, Vorse Raider (1900/1200), comes to the field in attack mode. Michael then puts one card in the spell/trap slots and says, “I will place one card face-down and end my turn! Now, it is your move!”

Serena draws one card from her deck and says, as excitedly as Jaden Yuki, “All right, get your game on!” Serena looks at the card in her hand, spots Cyber Angel Benten (1800/1500) Ritual monster card, and thinks in her mind, “Ready to roll, Benten?”

A strong female voice replies, mentally, “I am ready when you are, your majesty.”

Serena puts one card in the spell/trap slots and says, “First, I play my Pot of Greed! This card allows me to draw two more cards from my deck!” Serena draws two cards from deck, puts them into her hand, puts another card in the spell/trap slots, and declares, “Next, I play my Living Arrow Spell card! This card allows me to destroy one spell or trap card on your side of the field and you lose five hundred life-points! So, say goodbye to your face-down!” A large arrow then strikes Michael's face-down, a Magic Cylinder trap, destroying it, and Michael loses 500 life-points. Serena puts another card in the spell/trap slots and says, “Next, I play my Machine Angel Ritual! This spell card allows me to summon one monster with `Cyber Angel' in its name as long as discard a monster or monsters with the same or more stars than the monster that I'm summoning!” Serena discards her Cyber Prima (2300/1600) to the graveyard, puts the Ritual Monster card on her duel disk, and says, “So, I'm sacrificing my Cyber Prima in order to summon Cyber Angel Benten!” The hologram of Cyber Prima appears then vanishes as Cyber Angel Benten (1800/1500) comes to the field in attack mode.

Michael tells Serena, “Pretty good, Serena-san, but my Vorse Raider is still stronger than your Benten.”

Serena puts a card in the spell/trap slots and says, with a smile on her lips, “Silly! How said I was done?! Next, I play my Banner of Courage spell card! As long as this Continuous Spell remains on the field, whenever my monster's attack during my Battle Phase, they gain two hundred attack points!” Michael gasps in shock as Cyber Angel Benten's stats increase from 1800/1500 to 2000/1500, thanks to Banner of Courage. Serena then commands, “All right, girlfriend, time to show them what we're made of! Attack his Vorse Raider with Cyber War Fans!” Cyber Angel Benten then rushes against Vorse Raider, slices him apart as she destroys him, and Michael loses one hundred life-points from his score. Serena then tells Michael, with a sly smile, “However, my Benten isn't done, yet. Since she destroyed your monster in battle, you lose life-points equal to your destroyed monster's defense points! Good effect, huh?” Just then Michael groans as his life-points drop by 1200 more points, thanks to Cyber Angel Benten's special effect. Serena then puts her final two cards in the spell/trap slots and says, “Finally, I end with two face-downs!”

Current Score:
Michael: 2200
Serena: 4000

Cyber Angel Benten moves her head slightly closer to Serena and says, telepathically, in the voice that spoke to her earlier, “Well done, my princess. That was a well-played attack.”

Serena tells Cyber Angel Benten, mentally and with a smile, “Thanks, Benten. But I couldn't have done it with you.”

Michael draws one card from his deck and says, “Well played, Serena-san. But don't get your hopes up, this duel is far from over.”

Serena says, with her usual smile and tone, “I hope not because this is starting to get fun!”

Michael thinks in his mind, with a smile, “Well, she is a spirited one and one with a lot of potential.” Michael puts one card in the spell/trap slots and says, “First, I will play my Pot of Greed and get two more cards!” Michael draws two more cards from his deck and says, putting another card in the spell/trap slots, “And next, I will play my Silent Doom! This card allows me to bring one monster back from my graveyard in defense mode! And since there is only one monster in my graveyard, you can guess who is coming back.” Soon after, Vorse Raider (1900/1200) returns to the field in defense mode and Michael then says, putting another card on his duel disk, “However, he isn't staying here for long. I sacrifice him to summon my Summoned Skull to the field!” Vorse Raider fades away as it is sacrificed and then a huge lightning bolt crashes onto the field as Summoned Skull (2500/1200) comes to the field in attack mode.

Serena exclaims, a bit fearfully, “Yipe! That's one strong monster!”

Michael then says, putting a card in the spell/trap slots, “Next, I play my Heavy Storm spell card! This card destroys all spell and trap cards on the field right now! So, it is time to say goodbye to your face-downs and your Banner of Courage!” Soon after, a huge storm comes to the field towards Serena's face-downs and face-up Continuous Spell card.

Serena shouts out, “Hold it, pal! I play my Imperial Order!” Serena's face-down is revealed to be the Imperial Order trap card and Serena says, “As long as this card remains on the field, all spell cards are useless, but I must pay seven hundred life-points every Standby Phase to keep it on the field or it goes bye-bye! However, this card will make your storm become just a summer breeze!” Soon after, Imperial Order's effect cancels out the effect of Michael's Heavy Storm.

Michael tells Serena, “Well done, but Summoned Skull can still attack! Guess you should have used your trap card sooner!” Michael then thinks, “However, why didn't she use Imperial Order when I used Silent Doom?” Michael then shouts out, “Summoned Skull, attack Cyber Angel Benten! Lightning Strike!” Summoned Skull gives an unearthly roar as it sends a powerful lightning attack right at Cyber Angel Benten.

Serena shouts out, “I don't think so! I reveal my trap card! Doble Passé!” Serena's other face-down card was revealed to be the Doble Passé trap card and she exclaims, “Now, your attack on my Benten turns into a direct attack on me!” Soon after, Serena holds her hands in defense as Summoned Skull's attack passes by Benten and slams into her, causing her to lose 2500 life-points. Serena winches from the attack and says, “Why did I do that? It's because my trap allows my monster to strike right back at your life-points! All right, girlfriend, go and get him!” Cyber Angel Benten leaps forward and slashes at Michael with her fans causing him to lose 1800 life-points.

Michael thinks in his mind, with a smile, “So, that's why she didn't use Imperial Order when I use Silent Doom. She wanted me to summon a monster stronger than her Benten so that she could take the damage and inflict more damage on me. Clever girl.” Michael tells Serena, while putting one card in the spell/trap slots, “I'll put this face-down and call it a turn!”

Current Score:
Michael: 400
Serena: 1500

Serena draws one card from her deck and says, “First, I free up my spell cards by sending my Imperial Order to the graveyard!” Imperial Order's hologram shatters into pieces as the card is sent to the graveyard. Serena puts one card in the spell/trap slots and says, “Next, I play my Card of Sanctity! This card forces both of us to draw until we have six cards in our hands!” Serena and Michael then draw from their decks until both of them have a total of six cards in their hands each. Serena then puts another card in the spell/trap slots and says, “Next, I play a second Machine Angel Ritual! I sacrifice my Benten on my field with my Magician of Faith in my hand!” Serena discards the two cards to the graveyard, causing Magician of Faith (300/400) to appear on the field, and Serena looks at Cyber Angel Benten as she fades away from the field.

Cyber Angel Benten tells Serena, telepathically, “Do not worry, my princess. I will be all right. I know that my sisters, Idaten and Dakini, will serve you well.”

Serena tells Cyber Angel Benten, mentally, “Thank you for your help, Benten. I will make you proud!” After the two monsters fade away, Serena puts another card, a Ritual Monster card, on her duel disk and calls out, “Now, I can summon my Cyber Angel Idaten in attack mode!” Replacing Cyber Angel Benten, Cyber Angel Idaten (1600/2000) comes to the field in attack mode.

Michael tells Serena, “That monster is weaker than my Summoned Skull and your Benten, so, why summon it?”

Serena smiles and replies, “Because when Cyber Angel Idaten comes out to play, she can bring one spell card back to my hand from the graveyard.” Serena takes one card from her graveyard slot, displays it to Michael, showing it to be the Living Arrow spell card, and says, “I choose my Living Arrow spell card!” Michael gasps, knowing what Serena is playing to do. Serena puts the spell card in the spell/trap slots and says, “Now, I play my Living Arrow! Now, you lose that face-down and five hundred life-points! So, this duel is over!”

Michael tells Serena, “I'm sorry, Serena-san, but I will have to stop you! I play my trap! Spell Retribution!” Michael's face-down card is revealed to be a trap card with a picture of witches in front of a cauldron being attacked by angry villagers. Michael tells Serena, “When you play a spell card that threatens any monster, spell, or trap card on the field, including itself, I can play this card! Now, your spell card is negated and you lose five hundred life-points!”

Serena says, worriedly, “Oh no!” Her magical arrow is destroyed and Serena's life-points drop by 500 points.

Michael tells Serena, “Well done, Serena. You were close, but it looks like you weren't close enough.”

Serena states, with a sly grin, “Now, who said that you won, Michael-sensei?” Serena puts one card on her duel disk and calls out, “Next, I summon my Cyber Petite Angel!” Besides Cyber Angel Idaten, Cyber Petite Angel (300/200) comes to the field in attack mode. Just then a card comes out of Serena's dueling deck, Serena takes the card, displays it to be her third Machine Angel Ritual spell card, and says, “With this cutie, I can bring my third Machine Angel Ritual spell card to my hand.” Serena looks at Idaten, she silently nods her head, and says, putting the spell card in the spell/trap slots, “Finally, I play my final Machine Angel Ritual! I sacrifice my Idaten and my Petite Angel to summon the most powerful of my three girlfriends!” Cyber Angel Idaten and Petite Angel are sent to the graveyard, Serena puts the Ritual Monster card on her duel disk, and shouts out, “Meet my newest female friend! Cyber Angel Dakini!” To replace Cyber Angel Idaten and Petite Angel, Cyber Angel Dakini (2700/2400) comes to the field in attack mode. Serena then says, “And my girlfriend isn't just a pretty face, Michael-sensei! She can automatically destroy one monster on your side of the field when she comes to play! So, later Summoned Skull!” Summoned Skull explodes as it is destroyed by Cyber Angel Dakini's effect, leaving nothing on Michael's field.

Michael exclaims, shocked, “Now, I'm totally defenseless!”

Serena calls out, “That's right, sensei! Time to wrap this up! It's been fun, but all good things come to an end! Dakini, attack him directly!” Cyber Angel Dakini's stats rise to 2900/2400, thanks to Banner of Courage, and she rushes against Michael, slashing him with her four blades, and taking 2900 life-points from his score, ending this duel immediately.

Final Score:
Michael: 0
Serena: 1000

Serena exclaims, excitedly, “I did it! This is so great! I actually did it! I won! I won!”

Cyber Angel Dakini tells Serena, telepathically as she fades away in a strong feminine tone, “Indeed, you did, my princess. You showed true dueling spirit in this battle. My sisters, Idaten and Benten, and I are very proud of you.”

Serena tells Cyber Angel Dakini, mentally, “Thank you, Dakini. But if it wasn't for you, Idaten, and Benten, I would have never gotten this far. Thank you so much.” Cyber Angel Dakini slightly nods her head as she fully fades away, the other holograms also follow, and both duel disks de-activate. Serena then jumps all around and yelling out, excitedly, “I did it! I'm in! I'm in Duel Academy! This is so cool!”

While Serena is celebrating in her usual way, Michael looks at her and thinks, “That girl has some incredible potential in her. She is very good duelist. With just some touching up, she might become one of the world's greatest duelists. Maybe I should call Doctor . . . I mean Chancellor Crowler and see if I can arrange for her to get a promotion duel as soon as possible. That girl needs to be in Obelisk Blue . . . not Ra Yellow where she most likely be going since she did quite well on the written test.” Soon enough, Serena heads back to the stands where she finds best friends and fellow Sailor Senshi, Mina Aino, Lita Kino, Ami Mizuno, Rei Hino, all of whom were age 16, and Hotaru Tomoe, who is age 14, waiting for her.

Quickly Mina embraced her best friend and exclaims, “Oh, wow, Serena! You were just awesome out there!”

Serena tells Mina, with a smile, “I wasn't that good.”

Lita tells Serena, with a smile and encouraging tone, “No way, Serena! You were just awesome out there! You really dominated the whole duel!”

Hotaru tells Serena, “You really did great out there, Serena-hime! I'm just glad that I can come with you!”

Ami tells Hotaru, “It was really lucky that you've been allowed to skip up a grade to allow to be admitted to Duel Academy.”

Lita then says, “Plus, Amara, Michelle, Trista, and Darien are all going to be teachers, administrators, or both at Duel Academy! So, the whole gang is going to be there!”

Ami nods her head and says, “It is a good thing that Trista and Darien convinced the school's board to allow us to bring Luna and Atriums along as `pets'. Just in case any trouble happens at Duel Academy, they can advise us on how to deal with it. Remember, sometime ago, all Duel Monsters cards in the world began to glow blank for some reason and we traced that source of that evil to Duel Academy, but then the evil force was somehow contained.”

Mina tells Ami, “Oh, come on, Ami! We just defeated you know who around one year ago! Can't we just have some fun, rest, and relaxation? I mean, we're going to the best school for Duel Monsters in the world!”

Serena tells Ami, with a smile, “Yeah, Ami, it is going to be fun!”

Lita states, plainly and with a smile, “I never know you to be excited about going to school, Serena.”

Rei says, in her usual sarcastic tone, “If it is any other school, she would be moaning. However, since this is an Academy for Duel Monsters, it is like a dream come true for her since the only thing she can do well at is Duel Monsters.”

Serena yells at Rei, annoyed, “Rei!”

Rei tells Serena, with a smile, “Hey, Meatball Head, I'm telling it like it is.”

Serena says, annoyed and with her usual `pout look', “Thanks a lot.” Soon after, her four friends have a good laugh at Serena's `pout look' and soon after, Serena joins in for a few laughs herself.

Ami then says, with a smile, “I guess that you are right, Mina. It seems like this evil is already contained and gone, so, what could go wrong?”

End Flashback; Return to the Present

Back to the present, we find our heartbroken heroine looking at the picture of her friends and thinks, “And that's how my life in Duel Academy began. Personally, thanks to my greatest cards, the Cyber Angel Sisters, I call them, Benten, Idaten, and Dakini; I won the duel with great skill and ease. Ever since I was a little kid, I could always hear Duel Monster spirits, also known as Duel Spirits, but when I got my three Cyber Angel Sisters, they appeared to me out of nowhere and I was freaked out at first, but they became the greatest friends, other than my fellow Scouts, that I ever had. I didn't know if the others would believe me or if I was crazy, but when I learned Rei, Mina, and Amara can see Duel Spirits for some reason. I was glad that I wasn't the only one.” Serena gives a deep sigh and thinks in her mind, solemnly, “What could go wrong we thought? What we didn't know is that an evil was coming to Duel Academy. An enemy that would be welding the powers of light instead of darkness and trying to make the whole universe his to worship him, but it wasn't like we haven't face that kind of menace before. But this time, he was very much different, not just because he used light instead of darkness. Oh, mother, I wish that I had seen it coming . . .”

Flashback; Around the same time that Serena and her friends were taking the Entrance Exam for Duel Academy

Elsewhere in the world, we find ourselves in a large white marble room with a male figure standing sitting a white chair in front of a pure white table with only Tarot cards in his hands. The male figure had long flowing dark blue hair that goes down to his buttocks, a `stack' of grey hair that goes up from the end of his forehead slightly into the hair and above his scalp, deep violet eyes filled with darkness and evil in them, a pair earrings attached to hi ears with the earrings being three small spheres with white animal fangs attached to the ends of them, he is wearing an adult version of third-year Obelisk Blue uniform with black pants and black boots. The male figure turns over two of the Tarot cards and finds that they are The Fool and The Moon Tarot cards.

The male figure says, with an interested tone, “Interesting. There seems to be possibly another duelist that could be another `Chosen One'. This person is represented by The Moon, a being of purity, kindness, and light even in the deepest shadows. I wonder: Who can this represent?” Just then the male figure hears a cell phone ring, he gets a cell phone out of his pocket, `activates' it, and says into the speaker, “Yes?”

A male voice calls out from the other end, “Master Sartorius, we have found someone that you should see. The data has already been sent to you.”

The male figure, Sartorius, replies, plainly, “Thank you.” Sartorius hangs up the phone, snaps his fingers, a large view screen comes from the ceiling and stop in front of Sartorius, and the screen activates, revealing data from the Duel Academy Entrance Exams for this year with Serena's picture. After Sartorius reads the information, his eyes widen in slight surprise and wonderment. Soon after, the view screen displays the duel between Serena and the examiner, Michael, for the field test and Sartorius' eyes widen even more. Sartorius says, “Yes, I can feel it! This girl is The Moon card. A great power flows through her. She might also be a `Chosen Duelist' like The Fool, which I believe to be Jaden Yuki. Plus, I sense a mysterious connected between The Fool and The Moon as if they were . . . family. It makes me wonder.” Sartorius then begins to glow a white light and says, evilly, “However, it doesn't matter. I need her. This girl, Serena Tsukino, must be tested to find if she is a `Chosen Duelist' and if indeed she is . . . she must be made to see the light!” Sartorius gives out an evil laugh that would scare any regular boy or girl right out of their pants.

End Flashback; Return to the Present

Returning to the present and to our heartbroken Moon Princess, Serena thinks in her mind, “However, none of us knew at the time that some great evil was coming. Luna, Atriums, and Trista warned us that the past is set in stone and the future is set in glass and we should stay prepared for any threat, but we didn't listen, thinking that it was time for a breather from all of this `saving the universe' stuff at last. We . . . I should have listened to them and my friends wouldn't be under that asshole's control!” Serena wipes a few more tears from her eyes and thinks, “But everything was going awesome in Duel Academy. All of us, Mina, Lita, Ami, Hotaru, Rei, and myself made it to Ra Yellow and we were glad that we are going to stick together. Soon after, we arrived on Duel Academy and we were `treated' to the first duel of the year with Chazz Princeton, a former Obelisk Blue who got demoted, left Duel Academy, and rejoined in Slifer Red, against the top Freshman for the year. Some snobby brat named Reginald Van Howell the third or whatever. Chazz-senpai put that snobby brat in his place, but that guy is so full of himself. What kind of catch phrase is `Chazz it up'? That's self-centered. But soon after a few classes, I got the news that would propel me forward and allow me to make some good new friends.”

Flashback; afew days after arriving in Duel Academy

Today, we find our six female friends and Sailor Scouts, all of whom are wearing female Ra Yellow uniforms, which are similar to the female Obelisk Blue uniforms expect they have yellow where it is supposed to be blue, walking down the hallway towards the card store.

Serena says, with a smile, “Whoa. This place is pretty awesome, huh?”

Mina tells Serena, “Yeah, Serena! Those Ra Yellow dorms have their own cool cafeteria and everything!”

Rei says, with a sly grin, “I'm surprised that they made enough food for all of us, knowing how you, two, eat!”

Serena exclaims, insulted, “Hey, Rei! I'm a growing girl, you know?!”

Lita says, trying to change the subject, “Anyway, we should get down to the card shop before all the good cards are gone.”

Mina exclaims, with an excited tone, “Yeah, if any of us, not to mention all of us, want to get into that sweet Obelisk Blue dorm, we need to update our deck now and then.” Mina then says to Serena, with a smile, “Plus, I'm going to beat you and your `Cyber Angel Sisters' one day, Serena!”

Serena tells Mina, with a smile, “My Cyber Angel deck never let me down and as long as I've got faith in myself and my cards, I know that I'm going to top!”

Rei tells Serena, “Not if I beat you there first, Meatball Head! You're not the only one with good dueling decks, you know?”

Just then a familiar male voice calls out, “Excuse me, ladies?” Everyone turns around to the source of the voice to see the temporary chancellor of Duel Academy, Doctor Crowler, standing before them.

Ami asks, a bit nervously, “Yes, Chancellor Crowler, sir?”

Chancellor Crowler asks, curiously, “Which one of you, ladies, is Serena Tsukino?”

Rei asks Serena, in a whisper, “What did you do now, Serena?”

Serena whispers back, annoyed, “I didn't do a darn thing, Pyro!”

Chancellor Crowler asks, getting annoyed, “Well?”

Serena says, nervously, “I am . . . sir.”

Chancellor Crowler looks at our Moon Princess and says, plainly, “Report to Obelisk Arena this afternoon. I've got a duel scheduled for you.”

Serena asks, surprised, “A duel? For me?”

Chancellor Crowler says, in a plain tone, “Yes. And if you win this duel, Ms. Tsukino, you will immediately be admitted into Obelisk Blue.”

The girls gasps in shock and Serena exclaims, stunned, “A promotion duel? For me? So, soon?!”

Chancellor Crowler asks Serena, curiously, “Do you have a problem with that, Ms. Tsukino?”

Serena shakes her head and says, “No! No! I would like a chance to get to Obelisk Blue, but this is so sudden . . .”

Chancellor Crowler tells Serena, “Mr. Trenta, the teacher that you took your field exam, spoke quite highly of you and recommended a promotion duel as soon as possible for you. After looking at your test scores and your field test as well as your first few days, I have to admit that you do have potential. Do you accept?”

Serena looks at her friends and Rei exclaims, “What are you waiting for Meatball Head?! Accept!”

Hotaru nods her head in agreement and says, “Rei-chan is right, Serena-h-I mean Serena-chan. This could be your best chance to get to Obelisk Blue!”

Mina tells Serena, excitedly, “And don't worry about the rest of us, we will be right behind you!”

Lita tells Serena, “This is your big chance Serena!”

Chancellor Crowler tells Serena, plainly, “I would suggest that you take your friends' advise.”

Serena nods her head and exclaims, excitedly, “Then I accept the challenge, sir!”

Chancellor Crowler tells Serena, plainly, “Good. Report to Obelisk Arena this afternoon around 3 P.M. and don't be late!”

Serena nods her head and replies, “Yes, sir, Crowler-sensei!” Chancellor Crowler then walks away and when he is gone, Serena becomes very nervous.

Hotaru tells Serena, with a smile, “Wow, Serena-hime, you have a chance to get into Obelisk Blue already.”

Serena says, nervously, “I don't know. I'm so nervous. We just got here and I'm already going into a duel to get to the highest dorm in the whole school? I'm not sure if I'm ready for this.”

Mina tells Serena, excitedly, “Don't worry, Serena. You will do fine. You can duel with the best of them!”

Ami tells Serena, with her smile and usual tone, “Mina's right, Serena. I know that you will win. Plus, you will have us for support.”

Serena tells her friends, “Thanks, girls. You are the greatest.”

Flashback; Afternoon hours in Obelisk Arena

Within Obelisk Arena, we find Serena Tsukino, duel disk with a dueling deck inside attached to her left wrist along with wearing her Ra Yellow uniform, waiting for her opponent on the holographic duel arena with her five friends, Hotaru, Ami, Mina, Lita, and Rei, on the stands.

Just then a familiar female voice calls out, “There seems to be a lot of excitement here.” The girls turn to see Darien, wearing a violet male uniform for teachers in Duel Academy, Michelle, Trista, and even Amara wearing adult sized versions of the female Obelisk Blue uniforms walking towards them.

Rei tells Darien, “Hey, Darien-kun, it has been awhile!”

Mina tells Darien, with a smile, “Looking good, Darien-kun!”

Darien tells Mina, with a smile, “Thank you, Mina.”

Ami tells Amara, “Wow, Amara. I didn't think that you would wear a female teacher's uniform.”

Michelle says, with her usual smile, “Amara-chan didn't want to and she wanted to wear the male uniform, but finally, she was kind of forced to relent.”

Amara states, plainly, “You get used to it.”

Darien then asks Ami, a bit concerned, “So, Serena is in a promotion duel?”

Ami nods her head and says, “Yes. If she wins, she will get to Obelisk Blue.”

Michelle asks, a bit curiously, “Isn't a bit earlier for promotion duels?”

Lita says, “Chancellor Crowler said that the teacher that Serena dueled during her admission's test was so impressed that he recommended Serena for a promotion duel right away.”

Amara says, with a smile, “So, I see that our princess has quite the talent when it comes to Duel Monsters.”

Ami tells Amara, “From what I know, Serena has been dueling since she was a little girl.”

Rei states, “So, it isn't surprised that Serena has got something that she is good in.”

Just then a male voice calls out, “Awesome! This is going to be a sweet duel!” The group then looks over to see five people coming up to the stands: One is a 16 year old boy with deep brown hair and brown eyes, full of strength, light, and purity very much like the Moon Princess, wearing black shirt, blue jeans, brown shoes, and a Slifer Red blazer, the two boy is a smaller boy of the same age as the first boy with light blue hair, light brown eyes, and wearing clothes similar to the first boy, the third is a boy the same age as the other two with light brown hair and light brown eyes with a green vest and shirt, blue jeans, and wearing a Ra Yellow blazer, the fourth is a young man of the same age as the first three males with black hair is braids, brown eyes, wearing a cap in the form of a dinosaur head on his scalp, Ra Yellow blazer with the sleeves torn off, dark green military jeans, and black military boots, and the final person is a female of the same age of the males she is with brownish-blond hair, light brown eyes, and wearing an female Obelisk Blue uniform with deep blue fingerless gloves that goes to her elbows. These people, in order, are none other than Jaden Yuki, Syrus Truesdale, Bastion Misawa, Tyranno Hassleberry, Jaden's and Syrus' new friend, and Alexis Rhodes.

Syrus asks Bastion, “So, what the story with this new girl?”

Alexis replies, “Her name is Serena Tsukino and she is quite good. I heard that she did quite well on the entrance exam.”

Bastion nods his head and says, “She did so well that she impressed the teacher that administered her field exam to get her recommended for a promotion duel right away.”

Jaden says, impressed, “She must be good to get a chance to go to Obelisk Blue so soon.” Jaden looks at Serena and thinks in his mind, “Whoa! Is it me or does she seem familiar?”

Jaden gives a `spaced out' look and Syrus asks Jaden, “Is something wrong, J?”

Jaden comes out of his stupor and replies, in his usual tone, “Nah! Nothing's wrong, Syi!” Jaden thinks in his mind, “Okay, what was that feeling that I knew this girl from somewhere?”

Rejoining our heroes and heroines in the stands, Rei asks, curiously, “Who are they?”

Darien tells Rei, “Those are some of the students that are already part of this school. They are Bastion Misawa, a second year and very bright student as well as top student of Ra Yellow, Syrus Truesdale, a second year from Slifer Red and younger brother to the former top student at the school, Zane Truesdale, I think the young man in braid is Tyranno Hassleberry, he is a first-year like you girls in Ra Yellow and he has some kind of military upbringing, and the final two are very well-known around here. They are Alexis Rhodes, the top female student of Obelisk Blue, and Jaden Yuki, a second year Slifer Red, but he is the best duelist in the whole school.”

Mina exclaims, amazed, “Oh, wow! I've heard of him! He tied with the top student of the pervious third-year class, Zane Truesdale! I heard that even through he is in the Slifer dorm, he has beaten even Obelisks and Chancellor Crowler.”

Ami nods her head and says, “Yes, I heard he is one of the best duelists around and the current top duelist in the school. He uses an Elemental Hero deck. I've also heard that even through he was given a promotion to Ra Yellow, he turned it down because he loved the `passion of red' as I have heard him state it.”

Lita says, a dreamy eyed, “Well, I can say that he is quite the cutie and looks like my last boyfriend.”

Rei states, annoyed, “Oh, Lita, every boy looks like your last boyfriend!”

Lita says, defensively, “No, they don't!” On the meanwhile, Jaden and the other notices Darien and the girls in the stands.

Syrus asks, curiously, “Isn't that our new teachers, Mr. Darien Shields, Ms. Amara Ten'ou, Ms. Michelle Kaiou, and Ms. Trista Meiou, in the stands with those girls?”

Bastion nods his head and says, plainly, “Most likely, they are friends with Serena. I've heard that Mr. Shields is the boyfriend to Serena Tsukino.”

Syrus asks, perplexed, “But isn't Mr. Shields four years old than her?” On the meanwhile, Chancellor Crowler comes into the arena escorting a young man with black hair in a messy hairstyle, blue eyes, and wearing an Obelisk Blue blazer onto the dueling stands.

Serena asks, nervously, “Is that my opponent?”

Chancellor Crowler tells Serena, “Yes, indeed, my dear. His name is Frank Durant, a second year Obelisk Blue. He will be your opponent. If you wish to get into Obelisk Blue, you will need to defeat one to prove your skills.”

Serena says, drolly, “Great.”

In the stands, Alexis says, “What a jerk. Frank is a very good duelist. He isn't the best, but he is deadly. Plus, he is a real jerk to Ra and Slifer duelists. Serena doesn't stand a chance against him.”

Frank tells Serena, tauntingly, “Ah, is the little Ra scared to fight? Maybe you should go back to playing with your dolls?”

Serena says, insulted, “Hey, that isn't nice!”

Frank tells Serena, “We aren't here to `play nice', little girl! We are here to duel! So, put your cards where your mouth is or running away like a scared crybaby!”

Serena says, in a determined tone, “Fine!” Both duelists activate their duel disks and their life-point counters display 4000 life-points each.

Lita exclaims, strongly, “Come on, Serena! Show him what girl power is all about!”

Rei nods her head and exclaims, in her usual serious tone, “You better not be beaten by this jerk, Serena!”

Both duelists draw five cards from their decks and say in unison, “Let's duel!”

Starting Score:
Frank: 4000
Serena: 4000

Frank tells Serena, “I'll go first, little Ra!” Frank draws one card from his deck, puts one card on his duel disk, and exclaims, “I summon Marauding Captain to the field in attack mode!” Soon after, Marauding Captain (1200/700) comes to the field in attack mode. Frank then says, in a nasty smirk, “If you are slow on the uptake, since I've summoned him to the field, I can summon another level four or weaker monster from my hand to the field! And I choose another Marauding Captain!” Besides the first Marauding Captain, a second Marauding Captain (1200/700) appears on the field in attack mode.

Mina asks, curiously, “What's the point in that?”

Darien tells Mina, “Marauding Captain has another special ability: As long as he remains on the field, Serena can't attack any other Warrior monsters other than Marauding Captain. And since he summoned two, the first Captain protects the second and vice-versa.”

Lita exclaims, angrily, “That means that Serena is dead-locked and can't move!”

Ami tells Darien, “You have a lot of knowledge about the game.”

Darien smiles and says, “I played a lot of Duel Monsters when I was young and became quite the good duelists during my High School years. After Yugi Moto became the King of Games, who didn't play Duel Monsters since it was the most popular game on the planet?”

Hotaru asks, worriedly, “Do you think that Serena-hime is in trouble?”

Amara tells Hotaru, “Don't worry, Firefly. If I know Serena, she has a trick or two up her sleeve. She loves this game and like Darien, she has played since she was a little girl.”

Frank puts two cards in the spell/trap slots and says, “I place two cards face-down and move this duel to you!” Frank thinks in his mind, “Ha! With my Marauding Captains on the field, all I have to do is activate my Gravity Bind and any monster with more than three stars can't attack. However, just in case this pathetic Ra does a have a trick or two up her sleeve, my Negate Attack trap card will help.”

Joining Jaden and his friends, Syrus asks, curiously, “Is there something that girl, Serena, can do?”

Bastion tells Syrus, in his logical tone, “I'm not sure. Frank uses a deck known as `Warrior Lock-down'. As the name suggest, the deck is filled with Warrior-type monsters, but that's not all. His deck is full of spell and trap cards that will `lock down' a person's spell, trap, and most of all, monster cards to prevent them to attack him and his monsters. Most likely, one of those traps is Gravity Bind and he plans to use to make sure Serena can't attack with any high level monsters than find a way to slowly lower her life-points as she is unable to attack.”

Tyranno says, annoyed, “What a damn coward. That soldier is just going to attack that poor gal when she is down. Typical.”

Jaden says, with a smile, “Don't count her out a yet. This duel is still young and I don't know what, but I know that she is going to take the advantage in her first turn.”

Syrus asks Jaden, “What makes you think that J?”

Jaden tells Syrus, “Just call it instinct, Syi.”

Alexis thinks in her mind, “I hope that you are right, Jaden. This girl, Serena Tsukino, is facing a great duelist and one nasty character. I wouldn't want to put anyone against Frank.”

Serena draws one card from her deck and says, “Okay, my move.” Serena puts one card in the spell/trap slots and says, “First, I'll play this! My Harpie's Feather Duster! My mom always told me a lot to clean up my room and I've always hate to clean, but with this card, I love to clean up since it clears all spell and trap from my opponent's side of the field and destroys them!” Just then a huge feather storm comes onto the field, Frank's Gravity Bind and Negate Attack trap cards are revealed, and they are destroyed.

Frank says, annoyed, “So, what?! You still can't attack my Captains!”

Serena puts one card in the spell/trap slots and says, “Don't be so sure! Now, I play one of my favorite cards! Machine Angel Ritual!”

Jaden's and his friends', especially Alexis', eyes widen and Syrus states, “Huh?! She's got Cyber Angels, too!”

Serena discards her Cosmo Queen (2900/2450) monster card to the graveyard, puts the Ritual Monster card on her duel disk, and states, “So, I send my good old Cosmo Queen to the graveyard to summon one of my sweetest monsters to the field! Cyber Angel Dakini!” The hologram of Cosmo Queen appears on the field and vanishes causing Cyber Angel Dakini (2700/2400) to appear on the field in attack mode.

Jaden says, amazed, “Wow. She's got a similar deck to Alexis.” Just then the spirit of Winged Kuriboh comes out of its card, goes to its `master's' shoulder, and chirps very loudly. Jaden asks Kuriboh, mentally, “What is it, Aibou? What do you see?” Winged Kuriboh chirps as it points to Serena and when Jaden looks at Serena, she sees the spirits of Cyber Angel Benten, Cyber Angel Idaten, and Cyber Angel Dakini behind her. Jaden thinks in his mind, “Oh! Serena has got Duel Spirits with her, too!” Jaden takes another look and his eyes widen as an image of Serena as Princess Serenity appears behind her surrounded by the three spirits as they guard her. However, the spirits and the image fade away and Jaden thinks in his mind, “What was that? Is there something about Serena that's different from other girls?” Winged Kuriboh chirps as it nods his head as if answering Jaden's mental question and then it immediately returns to his card. Jaden mentally calls out to Winged Kuriboh, “Thanks for showing me that pal! Something tells me that my friends and I are going to keep a close eye on her for some reason.”

On the other side of the stands, Rei, Mina, and Amara see the Duel Spirit by Jaden and Mina asks Rei, in a whisper, “Rei, did you see what I saw?”

Rei whispers in reply, “If you saw that Jaden Yuki character talking to a real-life Winged Kuriboh, then I'm glad that I'm not the only one going crazy.”

Back to the duel, Serena tells Frank, “And now that Dakini is here, you are out of luck! That's because my Dakini's special ability takes out one of your Captains!” Just then one of Frank's Marauding Captains explodes into data particles as it is destroyed by Dakini's special ability.

Frank exclaims, shocked, “Oh no! My other Captain is totally defenseless!”

Serena calls out, “No joke, pal! Dakini, demote his Captain right now!” Cyber Angel Dakini rushes in, slashes Marauding Captain with his four blades in its four arms, and Marauding Captain roars out in pain as it explodes costing Frank 1500 life-points in one shot. Serena puts two cards in the spell/trap slots and says, “Finally, I put my last two cards face-down on the field!”

Current Score:
Frank: 2500
Serena: 4000

Mina exclaims, excitedly, “Way to go, Serena! That's showing him!”

Darien smiles widely and lovingly at his beloved and thinks in his mind, “Well done, Sere'. I knew that you can get out of that situation.”

Serena waves to her friends and beloved, giving them a `thumbs up' for the successful move, and thinks in her mind, “Awesome! I did it! That jerk is down to twenty-five hundred life-points! With my Dakini's two thousand seven hundred attack points, it is two hundred more than his. Most likely, that sucker will summon a monster to take out my Dakini and when he does, I'll play my Doble Passé trap card. Sure, I'll take the hit and lose major life-points, but thanks to my trap, that jerk will lose the rest of his life-points! And just in case, I've got my Magic Cylinder trap card reading and waiting!

Frank draws one card from his deck and says, “You will pay for that! Mark my words!” Frank puts one card in the spell/trap slots and says, “I play Pot of Greed and draw two cards!” Frank draws two more cards from his deck and says, putting a card in the spell/trap slots, “Next, I play my Heavy Storm spell card! This card destroys every spell and trap currently out on the field!” Just then a huge storm hits the field, Serena's face-downs are revealed to be Doble Passé and Magic Cylinder, both trap cards, and both cards are immediately destroyed.

Serena shouts out, shocked, “My Doble Passé and Magic Cylinder!”

Frank tells Serena, putting a card on his duel disk, “It gets worse for you, Ra scum! I play Gearfried the Iron Knight in attack mode!” Soon after, Gearfried the Iron Knight (1800/1600) comes to the field in attack mode. Frank puts one card in the spell/trap slots and says, “Next, I play my Release Restraint! This card allows me to sacrifice my Iron Knight for Gearfried's most powerful form!” Frank sends the card on his duel disk to the graveyard, a card comes out of his deck, Frank puts the card on his duel disk, and shouts out, “Now, behold the monster of your defeat! Gearfried the Swordsmaster!” Gearfried the Iron Knight's armor begins to crack, then it explodes leaving a figure in the smoke and dust, and out of the smoke and dust, Gearfried the Swordsmaster (2600/2200) replaces Frank's Iron Knight in attack mode.

Syrus says, “That swordsman is tough, but Dakini still has one hundred more attack points.”

Bastion tells Syrus, “Not for long. That swordsman has a special ability: For every equip spell card that given to that monster, he can automatically destroy one of Serena's monster.”

Jaden says, worriedly, “That's not good.”

Frank puts one card in the spell/trap slots and says, “Next, I equip my Swordsmaster with Legendary Sword! It gives him a three hundred attack and defense boost!” Soon after, the Legendary Sword appears in Gearfried's right hand and his stats increase from 2600/2200 to 2900/2500! Frank then says, “However, my monster's ability activates! Since I've given him an equip spell card, I can destroy one monster on your side of the field, no questions asked! So, say goodbye to your Dakini!”

Serena exclaims, shocked, “Oh no!”

Frank shouts out, “Gearfried, do your stuff!” Gearfried roars as he swings his sword creating a shockwave that destroys Serena's Cyber Angel Dakini.

Serena yells out, horrified, “Dakini, no!”

Ami says, worriedly, “Oh no! Serena is defenseless!”

Frank yells out, “Gearfried, attack her directly!” Gearfried rushes in, slashes Serena across the chest with his sword, and Serena yell out as she loses 2900 life-points in one shot!

Darien and Serena's friends shout out in unison, “Serena!”

Hotaru states, worriedly, “Oh no! Serena-hime lost nearly three-quarters of her life-points!”

Mina says, worriedly, “This is looking bad.”

Lita tells Mina, “Don't worry, Mina! Serena will pull through!”

Frank tells Serena, with a sly grin, “I think that's enough for now.”

Current Score:
Frank: 2500
Serena: 1100

Serena draws one card from her deck, puts the card in the spell/trap slots, and says, “I play my Pot of Greed! So, two more cards for me!” Serena then draws two more cards from her deck, puts another card in the spell/trap slots, and says, “Next, I play my Dark Spell Regeneration! This card allows me to use any spell card in either of our graveyards for one turn and I choose Pot of Greed, again! Now, I draw two extra cards!” Serena draws two more cards from her deck, puts one card on her duel disk, and calls out, “Next, I play my Cyber Tutu in attack mode!” Soon after, Cyber Tutu (1000/1000) appears on the field.

Frank says, with a taunting tone, “I thought that we were dueling, not playing with overgrown dolls!”

Serena says, putting one card in the spell/trap slots, “We'll see who will be laughing after this! I play my Angel's Wing and give it to my Tutu! Time earn your wings, girlfriend!” Cyber Tutu leaps into the air and a pair of huge and fluffy angel appears on her back. Serena then declares, “And since you don't have any monsters that are weaker than my little ballerina here, she gets to do a show right on your face! Cyber Tutu, attack him directly! Pounding Pirouette!” Cyber Tutu spins around in mid-air, dives right for Frank, and slams her right foot into his upper left arm. He groans as he loses 1000 life-points right on the spot and Serena says, “And since my Tutu has her wings, my Angel's Wing effect also costs you another three hundred life-points!” Frank's life-points then drop another 300, thanks to the effect of Angel's Wing. Serena puts one card in the spell/trap slots and says, “I'll end with one face-down!”

Current Score:
Frank: 1200
Serena: 1100

Frank draws one card from his deck, puts the card in the spell/trap slots, and says, “Now, I play my Lightning Blade spell! This gives my Gearfried another eight hundred attack points!” Lightning Blade appears on Gearfried's left hand and his stats rise from 2900/2500 to 3700/2500! Frank then says, “And since I've added another spell to Gearfried, your ballerina has made her final performance!” Gearfried sends lightning bolts right at Cyber Tutu and she screams out as she is destroyed.

Serena says, seriously, “My Cyber Tutu had Angel's Wing, so, its second effect now activates! When that card is sent packing, I get another card!” Serena draws one card from her deck and puts into her hand.

Frank yells out, “Like you will get to use it! Gearfried, end this! Attack this Ra yellow bitch directly!” Gearfried rushes in towards Serena for the final attack.

Michelle calls out, shocked, “Watch out!”

Mina says, worriedly, “She's going to lose!”

Serena calls out, “Not this time! I reveal my trap! Hollowed Life Barrier!” Serena's face-down card is revealed to be the Hollowed Life Barrier trap card and Serena says, “Thanks to this card, by getting rid of one card in my hand, your attack does no damage to me!” Serena discards the only card in her hand, a trio of maidens appears, and they create a shield that negates the effects of Gearfried's attack.

Frank says, annoyed, “One turn! That's all that it brought you! But your pathetic deck won't get you out of this one!”

Serena tells Frank, “Pathetic? Now, that's going too far pal! This deck and I have been together nearly forever and it never let me down before! And plus, I still has some points left, so, this duel is still on!” Serena draws one card from her deck, puts it in the spell/trap slots, and says, “First, I play Graceful Charity! I draw three cards from my deck and discard two from my hand!” Serena draws three more cards from her deck, smiles when she sees them, discards two of them to the graveyard, and says, holding the last card in her hand, “Well, it looks like my faith in my deck got me just what I needed! Time for some payback pal!”

Frank asks, perplexed, “With what?”

Serena puts one card in the spell/trap slots and says, “With my Card of Sanctity! Now, both of us draw until we have six cards in our hands!” Both duelists then draw from their decks until they have six cards in their hands.

Frank says, plainly, “What's the point of this? I've got more chances to beat you down in my next turn!”

Serena tells Frank, with a sly grin on her cheeks, “There is no next turn for you, pal!”

Frank says, annoyed, “You're lying!”

Serena tells Frank, “I'll let my cards doing the talking for me! Better pay attention pal because this is going to get confusing if you don't keep up!” Serena puts one card in the spell/trap slots and says, “First, I play Monster Reborn! This card allows me to bring Cyber Tutu back to the field!” Cyber Tutu (1000/1000) then appears on the field in attack mode.

Frank states, not impressed, “What's that little runt going to do?”

Serena puts a card in the spell/trap slots and says, “A lot! Next, I play my Prima's Light spell! Thanks to this I can send Cyber Tutu to the nasty graveyard to bring out my good friend Cyber Prima!” Cyber Tutu then vanishes from the field in a bright light as she is sacrificed, Serena puts one card on her duel disk, and Cyber Prima (2300/1600) comes to the field in attack mode. Serena then says, “Thanks to her ability, all spell cards currently out on the field are gone!” Gearfried loses both of its sword causing it stats to return to its original values.

Frank tells Serena, annoyed, “So?! My Gearfried is still stronger than your monster!”

Serena puts another card in the spell/trap slots and says, “Not for long! I play my Fulfillment of the Contact spell! By giving up eight hundred life-points, I can summon one Ritual Monster back from my graveyard! And I choose Cyber Angel Benten!” Serena's life-points drop by 800 and Cyber Angel Benten (1800/1500) comes to the field in attack mode.

Frank says, perplexed, “Wait! I didn't send that card to your graveyard!”

Serena says, with a smile, “Ah, but I did when I played my Hollowed Life Barrier trap card! However, she's back and ready for some payback!” Serena puts one more card in the spell/trap slots and says, “Especially since I play this! My Ritual Weapon spell! This handy little spell card can only be equipped to a Ritual Monster with six stars or less, but it gives the monster who has it a big fifteen hundred more attack and defense points!” The ritual weapon appears attached to Cyber Angel Benten's left wrist and its stats increase from 1800/1500 to 3300/3000!

Frank yells out, shocked, “Oh man!”

Serena calls out, “This game is over, pal! Benten, destroy his rotten swordsman!” Benten launches an arrow from her Ritual Weapon and it destroys Gearfried on contact causing Frank to lose 700 life-points.

Frank states, seriously, “I've still got life-points left!”

Serena tells Frank, with a sly grin, “Not for long, jerk! My Cyber Angel Benten has another cool trick! When she destroys a monster, you lose the value of its defense points and that twenty-two hundred!”

Frank shouts out, horrified, “No way!” Just then Cyber Angel Benten launches one of its war fans at Frank and he screams out as it hits him costing him another 2200 life-points, ending the duel immediately.

Final Score:
Frank: 0
Serena: 300

After the final holograms fade away, Frank falls to his knees and he says, solemnly, “Oh, man! Beaten by a girl!”

Serena tells Frank, “And don't you forget it! That's game, pal!”

Lita exclaims, excitedly, “Way to go, Serena!”

Mina calls out, also excitedly, “Yeah! You kicked his ass where he belongs!”

Chancellor Crowler thinks in his mind, “I've got to say that this girl is quite talented. Mr. Trenta assessment of her wasn't far off. I dare say that she might be as talented as our current Queen of Obelisk Blue, Alexis Rhodes. Well, we will see how she fares in the future. She might be useful for my career.” Soon after, Mina and Lita leap down from the stands and race to the stage where they hugged their best friend and leader of their team of super-heroines.

Lita tells Serena, “You were so awesome out there, Serena!”

Serena tells Lita, with a nervous smile, “I didn't do that well, Lita.”

Mina tells Serena, with her usual tone, “Are you kidding me, Serena?! You were just great out there! You showed him what girl power is all about!” On the meanwhile, Darien and the rest of Serena's Sailor Scout friends join Mina, Lita, and Serena.

Ami tells Serena, “Congratulations, Serena. You've won your first duel in Duel Academy.”

Serena tells Ami, “Thanks, Ami.”

Chancellor Crowler comes up and tells Serena, with a smile, “And one impressive win, indeed, my dear. Congratulations, Ms. Serena Tsukino! As reward for your impressive win, today, you are hereby promoted to Obelisk Blue immediately!”

Mina yells out, excitedly, “All right, Serena!”

Michelle tells Serena, with a smile, “Congratulations, Serena.”

Darien nods his head and tells Serena, “Great work, Serena. I knew that you can do it.”

Serena smiles and tells Darien, lovingly, “Thanks, Darien-chan. It means a lot coming from you.” Serena then says to her friends, “I'm just sorry that I'm going to leave you guys behind.”

Rei tells Serena, “Don't worry about it, Meatball Head. Soon enough, all of us will be in Obelisk Blue uniforms with you.”

Lita tells Serena, “Just tell us about the Obelisk Blue dorms when you get the chance.”

Serena tells Lita, with a wide smile, “Sure! That's a promise!”

Jaden's voice calls out, “Hey there! That was some sweet dueling out there!” Everyone looks to the source to see Jaden, Bastion, Tyranno, Syrus, and Alexis coming down towards them.

Serena gasps when he sees Jaden and Alexis and asks them, “Aren't you Jaden Yuki, that `Miracle duelist' and top duelists here in Duel Academy that's in Slifer Red, but can beat duelists from even Obelisk Blue? And isn't she, Alexis Rhodes, the Queen of the Obelisk Blue dorms and the best female student in this whole school?”

Jaden tells Serena, with a smile, “The ones and only!”

Alexis tells Serena, with her own smile, “You dueled very well out there, Serena. You deserve to be in Obelisk Blue. Allow me to be the first to welcome you to the Obelisk Blue dorms.”

Serena tells Alexis, “Thank you, Alexis-sempai! That means a lot to me! I've heard about you and I hope to become a good a duelist as you are!”

Alexis tells Serena, with a smile, “Something tells me that you already are, Serena!”

Serena then says, with a smile and pointing to her friends, “Oh, let me introduce you to my friends. They are Ami Mizuno, she is brilliant, loves to study and swim, and quite shy, but she is a good friend and always been there. Next is Rei Hino, another of my best friends, she is a Shinto Priestess, quite the fiery person and duelist, but a great friend, through she is quite annoying at times. Then there is Lita Kino, she loves to cook and one of the best cooks I've ever seen, but she is quite the fighter and can take down any of the best male fighters. Next, this other blond is Mina Aino. She is very cheerful and knows how to cheer a person up. She wants to be a pop star when she grows up and she feels that becoming a pro duelist would propel her career. Next, there is Hotaru Tomoe. She is fourteen years old and we, sometimes, call her Firefly because that's what her name means in Japanese. She is very kind and caring person even through she prefers `Goth'-type clothing. Hotaru managed to get promoted one grade to allow her to come to Duel Academy with us. Then there is Amara Ten'ou, you probably know her as the famous racer and one of the new teachers in the school. She loves speed and prefers racing, but she loves to duel as well. Next, there is Michelle Kaiou, a famous painter and violinist. Like Ami, she loves to swim and is a great person when you get to know her. Amara and Michelle take care of Hotaru as her guardians. Then there is Trista Meiou . . . Well, she is reliability and good person when get to know her, but she tends to keep to herself a lot and tries to be the `mediator' with arguments. Finally, there is my hunky boyfriend, Darien Shields. He and I have been dating for around one year and I couldn't ask for a better boyfriend. In my eyes, there is no one more perfect.”

Syrus asks, curiously, “Isn't Mr. Shields four years older than you?”

Serena smiles and replies, looking at Darien, “Yes, but true love is never separated by age.”

Jaden says, with a smile, “That's pretty sweet. Three teachers are friends of you and one teacher is . . . well, very close to you.”

Darien tells Serena, “However, this doesn't mean that I won't treat you like any of the students on tests and homework, Sere'.”

Serena says, mocking disappointment, “Ah, man. Thanks a lot, Darien-chan.” The two groups of friends then have a good laugh about what happened and it seems the bonds of friends are beginning to form between the two groups.

End Flashback; Return to the Present

Back to the present, we find our Moon Princess thinking about those events and thinks in her mind, “Soon after, Jaden and Alexis introduced their friends, Bastion Misawa, top duelists and student of Ra Yellow, Syrus Truesdale, Jaden's best friend in the Slifer Red dorms, and their newest friend, Tyranno Hassleberry, a first-year Ra Yellow like us that admired Jaden after he defeated him in a duel. Even through Hassleberry was a Ra, he moved into the Slifer Red dorms to learn from Jaden. Soon after, I donned my new Obelisk Blue uniform and moved into Obelisk Blue girls' dorm, where I met Alexis' two best friends, Jasmine and Mindy. Jasmine is a lot like Pyro with some Mina mixed in. She is a strong and fiery girl who doesn't take any lip from boys or girls, but has a major `cute boy' problem. And Mindy . . . well, she is totally like Mina when it comes to fashion and boys. Personally, I figured that it wouldn't take them long to be best friends. However, things weren't going so well after my promotion duel since Chancellor Crowler wanted to us, students, to improve his reputation . . .”

Flashback; Sometime after Serena's entrance to Obelisk Blue

Within the hallways of the Obelisk Blue dorm, we find Serena, wearing a female Obelisk Blue uniform exactly like Alexis, including the deep blue fingerless gloves exactly like Alexis, expect she had bright pink colored fingernails from pink nail polish, standing in front of Jasmine and Mindy, who were telling her about what happened to Alexis.

Serena says, shocked, “Whoa! I thought that Chancellor Crowler was weird, but I never thought that he was a jerk!”

Mindy tells Serena, “Well, you don't know Crowler like we do, Serena.”

Jasmine tells Serena, “You had better watch out, girl. Crowler saw you duel and how well you dueled, so, you might be one of his next victims.”

Serena tells Jasmine, “Thanks, Jasmine. I'll remember that.”

Jasmine tells Serena, with a smile, “Hey, what are friends for? We might have met only a while ago, but if you're friends with Alexis and her friends, you must be all right.”

Serena tells Jasmine, “Thanks, Jasmine.” Serena thinks in her mind, worriedly, “Oh, man. What if Crowler decides to use one of my friends as pawns to better his rotten career?”

Just then another female Obelisk Blue, a girl with light brown that goes to shoulder-length and light green eyes, comes up to the three of them, “Hey, girls, guess what I heard?”

Mindy asks the girl, “What is it, Anazi?”

Anazi tells Mindy, Jasmine, and Jasmine, “Hey, I heard that Missy from our dorm is going to duel a Slifer and if she wins, she gets to go pro. And if the Slifer wins, he gets to advance to Ra.”

Jasmine asks Anazi, “Who is this duelist from the Slifer dorm?”

Anazi exclaims, in an amazed tone, “You are not going to believe it! It is Zane Truesdale's younger brother and Jaden Yuki's best friend, Syrus Truesdale!”

The three girls gasp in shock and Mindy yells out, shocked, “Syrus is dueling Missy?!”

Jasmine says, annoyed, “Great. This must another of Crowler's plots to improve his image. Zane is a rising Pro Duelist and the former top student of the school before he graduated and passed it on the Jaden. He is using Syrus, being Zane's younger brother, to improve his image by making him duel a member of our dorm.”

Mindy says, “That's a total mismatch!”

Serena asks, curiously, “How bad can it be?”

Jasmine tells Serena, “Bad, Serena. It isn't that Syrus isn't a bad duelist, Serena. He has such low self-esteem and low confidence in himself. Thanks to being friends with Jaden, it has improved, but unless Syrus gets some confidence real soon, he is going to get his butt kicked by Missy without her even having to try.”

Serena says, solemnly, “Oh, man. Poor guy.”

Mindy nods her head and says, “Poor Syrus. Crowler is using him to improve his image and Syrus is just a tool to him.”

Serena asks Mindy and Jasmine, “Is there anything we can do for him?”

Jasmine tells Serena, “Hope for a miracle, Serena.”

Serena says, sweatdropping, “That isn't too reassuring Jasmine.”

End Flashback; Return to the Present

Returning to our current situation with our Moon Princess resting and `weeping' on a tree near the coastline of Academy Island, Serena thinks in her mind, “However, Syrus didn't need any prayers or miracles to help him. Syrus dueled Missy and beat her with some great moves and skills. Personally, I'm glad that Syrus won against her of all people. Her fashion sense is weird. I mean . . . who wears high-heels to a duel and they clash with the entire girl's uniform! Plus, her obsession with Syrus' brother, Zane . . . she really needs to get a life! After Syrus' win allowing him into Ra Yellow, my best friend, Ami Mizuno got her own promotion duel and made to Obelisk Blue shortly thereafter Syrus' duel with Missy. And talking about Syrus' older brother, Zane, the first duel that I saw him in would be when his descent into darkness began . . . when he dueled the legendary pro duelist, Aster Phoenix . . .”

Flashback; Inside of one of the classrooms of Duel Academy

Inside of one of the large classrooms within the main building of Duel Academy, we find Jaden Yuki, Syrus Truesdale, wearing a Ra Yellow uniform, Bastion Misawa, Chazz Princeton, Tyranno Hassleberry, and Alexis Rhodes together as the students prepare to take their seats as the duel between Aster Phoenix and Zane Truesdale is about to begin.

Just then a familiar female voice calls out, “Don't mind if you have some more friends over?” Jaden and his friends look to see Serena, Ami, wearing a female Obelisk Blue uniform now, Mina, Lita, Rei, and Hotaru walk up to all of them.

Jaden tells Serena, with a smile, “No problem! The more the merrier!” Serena and her friends gather around Jaden and his friends with Serena sitting down by Alexis, Ami sitting down by Bastion Misawa, Lita sits down by Tyranno Hassleberry, Hotaru shyly sits down by Syrus, Rei sits down by Serena, and Mina sits down by Lita.

Bastion asks Ami, “So, Ami, how do you like in Obelisk Blue?”

Ami tells Bastion, in a kind tone, “It is very nice there. Through I don't feel comfortable with the other girls there other than Serena, Alexis, Jasmine, and Mindy.”

Alexis tells Ami, with a smile, “Don't let those other girls intimidate you, Ami. I know that you can duel with the best of them.”

Serena tells Ami, with her confident smile, “Alexis is right, Ami. I know that you can do it.”

Ami tells Serena and Alexis, “Thanks a lot, you two.”

Mina states, a bit disappointed, “Oh, man. How come gets to Obelisk Blue after Serena, but before I do?”

Lita tells Mina, “Don't worry, Mina. I'm sure that you will have your chance to go into Obelisk Blue, but with Ami, I'm not too surprised. She is very bright and I wasn't shocked that she got into Obelisk Blue after Serena.”

Hotaru asks Syrus, “So, your brother is dueling against Aster Phoenix, Syrus-sempai?”

Syrus tells Hotaru, nodding his head, “Yep. That's my big brother, Zane. He's the best and I know that he will win.”

Rei asks Syrus, “How can you be so sure, Syrus? From what I hear, Aster Phoenix is good.”

Bastion states, plainly, “Rei brings up a good point. We haven't seen the power of Aster's true deck, yet, so, we can't be certain of Zane's victory.”

Chazz exclaims, annoyed, “Oh, come on! We are you so worried? Zane can't lose to that punk and true deck or not, he couldn't even beat Jaden.”

Ami tells Chazz, “Bastion-sempai has a point, Chazz. From what you told us, Aster just used a deck that he created with random cards. If he is using his true deck, who knows what skills he will use.”

Bastion nods his head in agreement and states, “Indeed, Ami.” Just then television screen went on and it displays the show that showing Zane's and Aster's duel. It gives a view of the Kaiba Dome with the pictures of Zane and Aster display the words `Aster Phoenix VS Zane Truesdale' in-between the two pictures.

As the students gossip about the upcoming duel, Alexis says, “I can't believe that Crowler sprung for cable.”

Rei says, in her usual matter, “What does it matter? This way, we will know what's happening and see if Syrus' brother or Aster Phoenix wins.”

Mina asks, curiously, “I wonder if either of them is seeing somebody.”

Serena exclaims, sweatdropping, “Oh, Mina! Not now!”

Mina replies, nervously, “Hey, I was just asking.” Soon after, the announcer on the television tells about the crowd is split in popularity between Zane and Aster Phoenix and the screen shows the dueling arena in the Kaiba dome with the classic `theatrical fireworks' for Zane's arrival. After Zane is seen, the picture switches to dozens of young girls cheering and swooning over the former top student of Duel Academy.

Chazz says, annoyed, “Argh! What does he have that I don't?!”

Jaden's laughs at Chazz's `question' and Syrus retorts, with a smile on his lips, “A career, personality, and oh yeah, a good looking little brother.” Soon after, the picture on the television shows Aster's entrance into the dueling arena with some other young girls also swooning over him, too.

Tyranno says, with a smile, “I guess that Zane isn't the only ladies' man over there.” Chazz growls in annoyance and looks away in pure annoyance as well. Soon after, the two of them started their duel and Aster went first by drawing one card from his deck.

Starting Scores:
Aster: 4000
Zane: 4000

On the television, Aster smirks at the card and says, “I think I will start with this guy.” Aster then displays the card to be Elemental Hero Avian (1000/1000) monster card and everyone is shocked by this.

Jaden then says, also surprised, “Hey, that's mine.”

Aster shouts out, “Go, Elemental Hero Avian!” Soon after, Elemental Hero Avian (1000/1000) appears on the field, but unlike Jaden's Avian, this one is black skin and green fur/feather with grey wings instead of white skin and green fur/feathers with white wings. Aster puts two cards in the spell/trap slots and says, “Next, I place these two cards face-down and end my turn.” When the screen turns to Zane, he has his eyes closed and then he opens his eyes and gets a smile on his lips, which is a rarity for Syrus' older brother.

Syrus says, plainly, “He's smiling.”

Bastion tells Syrus, “Wouldn't you, Syrus? Zane has the advantage. He has already fought against Jaden's deck.”

Alexis nods her head and states, “That's right! So, Zane knows how to beat it! If it is like Jaden's deck . . .”

Back inside of the Kaiba dome, Zane draws one card and says, “Hey, Aster! Watch this!” Zane puts one card on his duel disk and says, “I summon Cyber Dragon in attack mode!” Soon after, Cyber Dragon (2100/1600) appears on the field in attack mode. Zane tells Aster, “I can summon my Cyber Dragon since all of the monsters in play are on your side of the field. A trick that I learned back in the academy.” Zane then calls out, “Now, Cyber Dragon, attack with Strident Blast!” Cyber Dragon fires a beam of blue energy right at Elemental Hero Avian.

Aster then calls out, “You've just triggered my Draining Shield trap!” Aster's face-down card is revealed to be the Draining Shield trap card and Cyber Dragon's attack slams into a dome like shield surrounding Aster and Avian. Aster then says, sarcastically, “Isn't that special? But not does this card stop your attack, I gain life-points equal to your monster's attack points.”

Zane puts one card in the spell/trap slots and says, “Nice move, kid. But here's a better one! It's the spell card known as Trap Booster! By discarding one card from my hand, I can play one trap card from my hand!” Zane discards his Photon Generator Unit spell card, puts another card in the spell/trap slots, and calls out, “And I choose my Trap Jammer! Tough luck, kid!”

Aster gives a sly smirk and replies, in a sly tone, “Is that all? Don't you know that card is a dime a dozen, Zaney?” Aster's other face-down is then revealed to be the Trap Jammer counter-trap card and Aster says, “I've got a Trap Jammer, too! And it cancels out all of your hard work.” Zane's Trap Jammer is negated by Aster's and Cyber Dragon's attack is negated as Aster's life-points increase by 2100.

Back in Duel Academy, the students, especially our two groups of friends are amazed by this play, and Bastion says, “What an even match.”

Tyranno says, with a smile, “They're neck and neck. This is what I call combat.”

Jaden asks, very interesting and curiously, “I wonder: What other surprises that Aster has in his deck?”

Back in the stadium, things began to heat up as Aster beings his turn.

Current Score:
Aster: 6100
Zane: 4000

Aster draws one card from his deck, puts one card in the spell/trap slots, and says, “All right, Zane! Get this! Now, I play Pot of Greed! And I'm sure you know that it allows me to draw two more cards from my deck!” Aster draws two more cards from his deck and says, putting another card in the spell/trap slots, “Then I'm kicking it Polymerization Style!” Aster discards his Avian and Elemental Hero Burstinatrix (1200/800), causing the a hologram of a darker version of Burstinatrix to appear on the field, goes into a fusion vortex with Avian, Aster takes one card from his fusion deck and puts it on his duel disk, and says, “I'll be fusing my Avian on my field with the Burstinatrix in my hand! Now, give a Kaiba Dome welcome to Elemental Hero Phoenix Enforcer!” Out of the vortex, Elemental Hero Phoenix Enforcer (2100/1200) appears on the field in attack mode.

Back in the classroom, Syrus asks, confused, “Who?! He fused Avian and Burstinatrix! Hello! Where is good old Flame Wingman?!”

Chazz says, annoyed, “Someone tell him.”

Syrus asks, perplexed, “Tell me what?”

Bastion tells Syrus, “When fusing Elemental Heroes, you get to choose what high-level monster they fuse into.”

Ami tells Syrus, “That's right, Syrus! And each fusion monster has different powers.”

Lita states, “So, when you fuse Avian and Burstinatrix, you can form Flame Wingman or Phoenix Enforcer, right?”

Ami tells Lita, “That's right, Lita.”

Jaden asks, amazed, “Wait! I can? Who knew?” Everyone then does a classic anime sweatdrop at Jaden's statement.

Chazz tells Jaden, “Wow, you are even dumber than I thought. And that's saying a lot.”

Jaden says, with a smile, “Wow. My deck has a new trick. Why didn't someone tell me sooner?”

Chazz exclaims, annoyed, “How did this spazz ever beat me?!”

Rei tells Serena, “Man, Serena. And I thought you were a real ditz.”

Serena tells Rei, annoyed, “Very funny, Pyro.”

Back within the Kaiba Dome, Zane stares down the new Elemental Hero that he never saw before.

Aster tells Zane, “Cool outfit, huh, Zaney? Now, check out his attack!” Aster then commands, “Go, Phoenix Flame!” Elemental Hero Phoenix Enforcer then charges right at Cyber Dragon.

Back in the school, Tyranno yells out, shocked, “Hold on! They've got the same attack points! It's a wash!”

Bastion tells Tyranno, “Not exactly, Hassleberry.”

Returning to the Kaiba dome, Elemental Hero Phoenix Enforcer slashes through Cyber Dragon destroying it while it remains totally unharmed.

As his monsters returns to his side, Aster tells Zane, sarcastically, “Oops. Did I forget to mention his ability? He can't be destroyed in battle.” Aster puts one card in the spell/trap slots and says, “Oh, well. I'll end my turn with this card face-down.”

Zane tells Aster, as he draws one card from his deck, “Settle down.” Zane puts one card in the spell/trap slots and says, “Well, what do you know? It's Pot of Greed. I'll draw two cards.” Zane draws two cards from his deck, puts another card in the spell/trap slots, and he says, “Next, an old favorite: I play my Power Bond!”

Back in the school, Jaden says, with a smile, “Awesome.”

Syrus says, with a smile and excitedly, “That's the best card he's got.”

Within the Kaiba Dome, Zane tells Aster, “Listen up because Zane's going to win. I'll send two machines to my graveyard in order to summon a new machine.” Zane discards two Cyber Dragons (2100/1600 X 2) to his graveyard, the two Cyber Dragons appear on the field and fuse together, Zane gets a fusion monster card from his fusion deck, puts it on his duel disk, and says, “I'll fuse my two Cyber Dragons to summon my Cyber Twin Dragon!” Out of a bright light from the fusion of the two Cyber Dragons, Cyber Twin Dragon (2800/2100) appears on the field on attack mode. Zane then says, “And thanks to Power Bond's effect, my Twin Dragon's attack points are doubled!” Cyber Twin Dragon roars and sparks as it stats increase from 2800/2100 to 5600/2100! Zane then calls out, “And now, Cyber Twin Dragon, attack his Phoenix Enforcer!” Cyber Twin Dragon launches a powerful blast of energy at Elemental Hero Phoenix Enforcer, it slams into him, but thanks to its ability, it isn't destroyed, however, Aster loses 3500 life-points with this attack. Zane tells Aster, “And my dragon has another surprise for you, it can attack again!”

Back in Duel Academy, Chazz tells his `associates', “Just like I thought! Aster's going to lose!” Cyber Twin Dragon launches another attack right at Phoenix Enforcer and Aster growls as he secretly pushes a button on his duel disk just before the attack slams into Elemental Hero Phoenix Enforcer, covering him and Aster in a large amount of smoke. The announcer yells out Zane's victory, but then Aster appears out of the smoke with one hundred life-points still remaining.

Zane gasps in shock and exclaims, “Hold on! I won!”

Aster tells Zane, with a sly grin, “Afraid not. Did you ever hear the expression: `The Duel Monsters' card is quicker than the eye'?”

Zane asks Aster, in a serious tone, “What do you mean?”

Aster tells Zane, “What I mean is I used my Elemental Recharge and it gives me an extra one thousand life-points for every hero on the field.” Aster tells Zane, “Now, as for you, your Power Bond comes with a price and it is time for you to pay up with your life-points. Actually, make that twenty-eight hundred of them. Right?! The same amount as your dragon's original attack points.” Zane's Cyber Twin Dragon glows as Zane loses 2800 life-points, thanks to the negative effect of Power Bond.

Aster: 100
Zane: 1200

Aster draws one card from his deck and says, “Tough break.” Aster puts one card on his duel disk and says, “And things are getting tougher with my Sparkman!” Soon after, a darker version of Elemental Hero Sparkman (1600/1400) appears on the field in attack mode. Aster puts one card in the spell/trap slots and says, “Next, I'll add this! Spark Blaster!” Just then a hologram of a blaster connected to Sparkman's right arm appears in Sparkman's right hand and Aster puts the last card in the spell/trap slots, “And then I will add my Guard Penalty spell card! Thanks to this, I get to pick one monster on the field and if it switches to defense mode, I get to draw a card! So, I'll choose your Twin Dragon! And what luck! I can use my Spark Blaster to do just that!” Sparkman uses his Spark Blaster to switch Cyber Twin Dragon to defense mode. Aster then draws one card from his deck and says, “While he is taking a nap, I get to draw a card. Did you get all that? How about I switch him back to attack mode for a reply?” Sparkman uses Spark Blaster to switch Cyber Twin Dragon back to attack mode and Aster says, “And now, for an instant reply. Back to bed little dragon.” Sparkman uses Spark Blaster to switch Cyber Twin Dragon back to defense mode and everyone in the audience starts to laugh.

One child in the audience says, “Look, mommy. The dragon is doing tricks.”

Aster says, tauntingly, “Listen to that Zane, looks like the crowd is on to you. They know that you are a sham.”

Zane yells out, angrily, “Shut it!”

Back in Duel Academy, Syrus says, worriedly, “Whoa. I've never seen Zane that angry before.”

Chazz says, annoyed, “He can't lose to some kid.”

Bastion tells Chazz and his friends, “He is more than a kid. In one move, he has made our top graduate into a laughing stock.”

Rei says, annoyed, “Defeating Zane is one thing, but doing this . . . It is just plain wrong. What a jerk.”

Returning the Kaiba Dome, Aster says, “See you later, Blaster! Thanks for everything!” Sparkman's Spark Blaster is destroyed since it has been `used up', Aster draws one card from his deck, thanks to Guard Penalty, and says, as he puts one card in the spell/trap slots, “Well, I'm disappointed with you, Zaney. I thought you would be tougher! Because I'm just warming up! Now, I play Polymerization! I fuse Elemental Hero Phoenix Enforcer with Sparkman!” The two monsters go into a fusion vortex as they are sent to the graveyard, Aster takes one fusion monster card from his fusion deck, puts it on his duel disk, and exclaims, “This creates my Elemental Hero Shining Phoenix Enforcer!” Out of the fusion vortex, Elemental Hero Shining Phoenix Enforcer (2500/2100) comes to the field in attack mode.

Zane says, drolly, “Oh, great.”

Back in Duel Academy, everyone is awe-struck and Tyranno tells Jaden, “Sam hill! That critter is bigger than any heroes in your deck, Jaden!”

Returning to the Kaiba Dome, Aster tells Zane, “The fun doesn't stop there, Zaney. My Shining Phoenix Enforcer gets three hundred attack points for every hero in my graveyard for a grand total of thirty-seven hundred points!” Elemental Hero Shining Phoenix Enforcer's stats increase from 2500/2100 to 3700/2100! Aster then calls out, “Now, show him how you got your name! Shining Enforcement!” Shining Phoenix Enforcer then rams right through the chest of Cyber Twin Dragon, destroying it, and shattering to nothingness, but even through Zane didn't lose life-points, since his monster was in defense mode, he was getting really angry at Aster. Aster puts one card in the spell/trap slots and says, “All right. I'll place one card face-down and that will be it.”

Aster nastily laughs at Zane and Zane tells Aster, seriously, “Sorry, Aster, the joke's on you. And it is time for the punchline. My move!” Zane draws one card from his deck, looks at the two cards in his hand, puts one card in the spell/trap slots, and says, “First, I play a little spell card known as Polymerization!” Zane then puts the other card in his hand into the spell/trap slots and says, “Next, I'll play Cybernetic Fusion Support! Here's how it works: I play half of my life-points and then I can fuse monster in my graveyard! So, I fuse my three Cyber Dragons in my graveyard!” The three Cyber Dragons cards in Zane's graveyard come out and are removed from play, the holograms of Zane's three Cyber Dragon appear on the field and go into a fusion vortex, Zane goes through his fusion deck, takes out on fusion monster card, and puts it on his duel disk.

Back in Duel Academy, all of the students were beginning to celebrate and Jaden says, “Talk about a sweet comeback!”

Bastion says, “Nice. He just bought himself a victory!”

Back within the Kaiba Dome, Zane shouts out, “Meet Cyber End Dragon!” Out of the fusion vortex, Cyber End Dragon (4000/2800) appears on the field in attack mode and the crowd starts to cheer. Zane tells Aster, “It has been fun, kid. But all good things come to an end!” Cyber End Dragon then prepares to attack and Zane says, with a smile, “Nice knowing you.”

Aster smiles and says, “You talk a wicked game, Zaney. But when dueling the pros, I'm afraid going to get you two things: Beaten and fast.”

Zane wonders what Aster is talking about, he then gasps, remember Aster's face-down card, and exclaims, “Wait! Your trap card!”

Aster yells out, “Destruction of Destiny to be more exact!” Aster's face-down card is revealed to be the Destruction of Destiny trap card and Aster says, “Nice try, Zaney! But thanks to this card, I can send five cards from my deck to the graveyard! And I choose Clayman, Bladedge, Wildheart, Bubbleman, and Hero Signal!” Aster takes the said cards from his deck, puts into his graveyard slot, and says, “Oh, did I mention Enforcer's special ability? He gets three hundred attack points for every hero in the graveyard!” Elemental Hero Shining Phoenix Enforcer's stats rise from 3700/2100 to 4900/2100!

Zane yells out, shocked, “What?!”

Aster tells Zane, with a sly grin on his lips, “That's right, Zaney. Your little dragon picked the wrong fight. Now, who's got more points now?”

Zane says, solemnly and shocked since he knew what was coming next, “You.”

Aster exclaims, “That's right! And don't you forget it!” Shining Phoenix Enforcer counters Cyber End Dragon's attack, charges right through Cyber End Dragon's chest, and Cyber End Dragon explodes with a huge explosion, costing Zane 900 life-points and ending the duel. Within the halls of Duel Academy, all of the students, including our Sailor Senshi and Jaden and his friends are shocked to see what happened. Back in the Kaiba Dome, Zane falls to his knees in shock.

Zane says, shocked by his loss, “How can this be?”

Aster replies, in a plain tone, “Simple. You can't escape from destiny.”

Zane looks at Aster, gasps in shock since he heard that saying before, and he says, stunned, “The demon! It's you!” Aster gives a serious look, turns around, and walks away. Back in Duel Academy, all of the students and teachers, including our heroes and heroines, looked in stunned silence at Zane's loss to Aster.

Lita exclaims, “Whoa! Zane Truesdale lost!”

Mina says, amazed, “Well, it looks like that Aster is as good as he says.”

Rei states, “He might be a jerk, but you are right, Mina.”

Syrus says, stunned, “I just can't believe that he took out my brother.”

Bastion says, plainly, “He can't be beat.”

Jaden says, in a plain tone, “We'll see.”

End Flashback; Return to the Present

Back to the present, Serena thinks in her mind, “It was totally beyond belief. Duel Academy's best student, who never lost one duel, lost to Aster Phoenix in a total and humiliating defeat. After that, Zane would be a losing streak and when he started winning again, he won't be the same Zane Truesdale that Jaden and his friends originally knew. On the meanwhile, Aster announced his plans to duel Jaden Yuki, through he did it in a way to make Jaden look bad, including saying that Jaden copied his deck! What a total jerk! And then when he arrives, he only allows Jaden's friends to come to see the duel! Thankfully, my friends and I were included in that department. Jaden prepared for his duel against Aster Phoenix and his deck of heroes with warning from Jaden's Duel Spirit, Winged Kuriboh, warning him of danger, but Jaden was confident of victory. However, even through it was an even match, Jaden would soon wish he had . . .”

Flashback; In the middle of Jaden's and Aster's second duel

Now, we turn the hands of time back to the duel between Aster and Jaden with Aster using his real deck and by this time, Jaden has taken out Aster's Shining Phoenix Enforcer with a combination of Elemental Hero Shining Flare Wingman, the Equip Spell card Light Laser, and the Field Spell card Skyscraper, removing Aster's Shining Phoenix Enforcer from play and costing Aster 700 life-points, lowering his life-points down to 1800.

Alexis asks, excitedly, “Awesome. Who is the pro now?”

Syrus says, just as excitedly, “Jaden!”

Mina asks, with a smile, “And who is the jerky, but cute opponent?”

Lita says, with a smile, “Aster!”

Rei yells at the two of them, annoyed, “Lita! Mina! We are supposed to be supporting our friends, not the enemy!”

Jaden exclaims, excitedly, “This is one sweet duel! I mean, hero monsters going head to head! What could be better?! This is so chill!”

Just then Aster growls in annoyance and unexpectedly yells out, angrily, “What's with you?! You think that this is some kind of big joke!” Jaden and the others gasp out in surprise and when Aster raises his head, his expression changed within an intense look in his eyes. Aster then says, in a real serious tone, “Well, I've got news for you, joy-boy, dueling isn't just for fun! Well, not for me! But someone like you would never understand. I duel for justice and . . . revenge.”

Going into the `audience', Ami asks, perplexed, “Justice? Revenge?”

Lita states, shocked at Aster's change of attitude, “Whoa! His attitude has taken a total one-eighty.”

Amara says, plainly, “Something tells me we are seeing the true Aster Phoenix.”

Michelle asks Amara, “What makes you say that Amara?”

Amara states, plainly, “Behind that sarcastic attitude, I saw a look deep within his eyes that he tried to hide. The one of someone on a mission . . . a mission of justice and vengeance. Then I knew there was more to this kid than meets the eye.”

Back on the dueling field, Aster growls and says, “Ah, forget it.”

Jaden tells Aster, seriously, “Too late for that now, bro.”

Aster tells Jaden, in a serious tone that he didn't use until now, “I chose my hero cards for a reason. And punks like you that use them just because they look cool, make me sick to my stomach.”

Jaden tells Aster, perplexed by his change in attitude, “Come on, bro, chill out.”

Aster yells back, very annoyed, “Look, these cards are everything to me! They are my whole life! So, you chill!”

Jaden tells Aster, “I'm always chill.”

Aster says, annoyed, “Whatever. I told you that you wouldn't understand.”

Within the stands, Darien states, in a serious tone, “Amara's right. His voice is full of anger and rage. Someone who wishes for vengeance. But what does he want revenge for? And who or what does he have this anger and rage against?”

Back on the dueling field, Aster says, in a serious tone, “I was destined to build this deck! And here's proof! I play my D-Time trap card!” Aster's face-down card is revealed to be the D-Time trap card and Aster says, as two cards comes out of his deck, “Thank you, Jaden. You've triggered this trap when you destroyed my Phoenix Enforcer! When he leaves the field, it allows me to unleash a new breed of heroes from my deck!” Aster puts the cards from his deck into his hand, revealing one of them to be Destiny Hero Doom Lord (600/800), and declares, “They are known as the Destiny Heroes!”

Jaden asks, stunned and perplexed, “Destiny Heroes?!”

Back in the stands, Chazz nearly leaps out of his seat and asks, confused, “What heroes?!”

Tyranno tells Chazz, “Destiny, son! They already said it twice.”

Syrus asks, curiously, “What are they?”

Jaden's friends look at Bastion and he says, “Don't look at me.”

Syrus asks, worriedly, “You don't know?”

Mina asks Ami, “What about you, Ami?”

Ami tells Mina, “I wish that I knew, but I never heard of any cards known as the `Destiny Heroes' in any card database. However, they do sound familiar from a story that I read about, but I'm not exactly sure where I heard that story before.”

Serena says, worriedly, “I'm worried. If Bastion or Ami never heard of these cards, who knows what they can do?”

Back on the dueling field, Aster tells Jaden, “Now, it is time for you to open your eyes to the true power of the Elemental Heroes.”

Jaden tells Aster, “Enough of the dramatic speeches, bro.”

Aster says, with a sly smirk on his lips, “Fine. Then I won't tell you my secret then.”

Jaden gives a perplexed look and asks, “Huh?”

Aster tells Jaden, “Unless you want to know the truth.”

Jaden asks Aster, “What truth?”

Aster tells Jaden, “About a secret series of hero cards created by Industrial Illusions, but never released to the public. It is known as the D-series.” Aster then draws one card from his deck and says, “But how about I show you instead?” The Field Spell slot opens on Aster's duel disk, he puts a card in the Field Spell slot, and says, “First, I play my Clock Tower Prison Field Spell.” The Field Spell slot on Aster' duel disk closes, causes Jaden's Skyscraper spell to fall apart since a new Field Spell was played, and as a huge clock tower appears behind Aster with Jaden, Aster, and Shining Flare Shining being in the center of some kind of courtyard to some kind of prison connected to the clock tower behind Aster. Aster tells Jaden, “This clock tower is the key ingredient.”

Jaden asks, perplexed, “It is? But why?”

Aster replies, sarcastically, “Oh, now you want to hear my speech. Let's just say that with every tick of this clock, I come closer to victory. Now, hands of fate turn and usher in the doom!” Soon after, the needles on the clock tower move backwards to the twelve o'clock position and when they do so, it gives off loud clock-like bongs. And just then a figure is seen on top of the clock tower.

Syrus exclaims, shocked, “Look! On top of the tower!”

Aster then calls out, “Jaden, meet Destiny Hero Doom Lord!” Soon enough, the figure on the clock tower is Destiny Hero Doom Lord (600/800) in attack mode.

Jaden tells Aster, “No offense, but he seems weak.”

Aster says, with a sly smirk, “Let's test that theory. Doom Lord, show him your stuff!” Doom Lord leaps from the clock tower and moves towards Flare Wingman, seemly going to attack.

Chazz says, “That was dumb.”

Bastion says, in his logical tone, “I concur, Chazz. Why would Aster play that? He clearly has the weaker monster.”

Rei states, plainly, “No joke. Flare Wingman has three thousand seven hundred attack points to that Doom Lord's just six hundred. It's going to get crushed.”

Ami says, worriedly, “Unless it has a special ability that we don't know about.”

Everyone looks at Ami in shock and back on the dueling field, Aster exclaims, “Oh, did I mention his ability? Destiny Hero Doom Lord, send him packing with Impending Doom Grip!” Doom Lord slams his right claw into Shining Flare Wingman and Aster says, “See ya. In the future, that is.” Soon after, Elemental Hero Shining Flare Wingman vanishes, dropping Light Laser, and sending that card to the graveyard.

Jaden exclaims, shocked, “Hey, what do you to my Wingman?! He's gone!”

Aster tells Jaden, “Yeah, but not for long! Each turn, he can send one of your monsters into the future by removing them from play for two turns!”

Jaden tells Aster, “That doesn't even make sense.”

Aster tells Jaden, “To you. That's because you've got a lot to learn about destiny. And unfortunately for you, right now, I'm controlling yours. And your future is looking pretty grim.” Aster then starts to laugh in dark satisfaction as the duel turns in Aster's favor.

End Flashback; Return to the Present

Back in the present, we find our Moon Princess still sadly staring at the picture of her friends and thinks in her mind, “And what was worse for Jaden, Aster was right! His Destiny Heroes were monsters that we never saw before and with more incredible powers than the last, Jaden was being thrown to the wall! Then we will that Aster's strategy was his belief that everything is predetermined! However, Jaden continues to duel on and when it looks like he had the edge, Aster's Destiny Hero Dreadmaster stopped Jaden's Thunder Giant's special ability! And thanks to the power it had, Aster was about to win the duel! However, before he finished Jaden off, we learned the tragic truth about his past . . .”

Flashback; nearthe end of Aster's and Jaden's second duel

We return to Aster's and Jaden's duel where Jaden has only 150 life-points left with Elemental Hero Thunder Giant (2400/1500), Elemental Hero Necroid Shaman (1900/1800), and Elemental Hero Flame Wingman (2100/1200) while Aster has 800 life-points left, Destiny Hero Doom Lord (600/800), Destiny Hero Captain Tenacious (800/800), Destiny Hero Diamond Dude (1400/1600), and Destiny Hero Dreadmaster (2800/2800). Jaden tried to prevent defeat by using his Thunder Giant's special ability to weaken Dreadmaster by getting rid of Diamond Dude, but Dreadmaster's effect stopped Thunder Giant's ability and now, Aster's last attack is about to finish when he starts his turn.

Aster tells Jaden, with a sly smirk, “I've got to admit, your dueling skills aren't half bad, but I have something that you don't! Purpose! A reason to duel other than having fun!”

Jaden asks, perplexed, “What else is there?”

Aster tells Jaden, in a serious and strong tone, “Typical. You've just proven my point, once again. The reason I duel is to bring justice to the world by punishing people that think they are above the law!”

Jaden asks, confused, “Come again?” Everyone widens their eyes in shock at this revelation about Aster Phoenix.

Aster says, a bit nervously, “Guess you need an explanation: My father was a duelist, too. He was a card designer for Mr. Maxamillion Pegasus at Industrial Illusions.” Aster smiles at this memory and says, “He put his heart into every card he designed. He was my hero.”

Jaden asks, curiously, “What happened to him?”

Aster's expression then becomes one of rage and he states, angrily, “Some punk came and took him away!” Aster thinks about what happened and says, solemnly, “They must broken in and now, he's gone.”

Jaden says, horrified, “That's awful.” Just then a realization comes to him and Jaden asks, “Wait! Did your father . . .?”

Aster says, seriously, “That's right. My father . . . created and designed the Destiny Heroes! They were the last cards that he ever made! My father taught me that justice would always prevail. But he was wrong. Justice was a lie. My father is still gone. And whoever took him away is still out there, another criminal whose actions went unpunished. It's not fair. So, I made a choice: I duel to bring lawbreakers to justice.” With the fire of anger, rage, and determination in his eyes, Aster says, with a serious and determined tone, “And in the honor of my father, I use the very same cards that my father created to punish these lawbreakers. And that's why I duel. And someday, I will find the scum that took my father away and make him pay. And I'll know him when I see him. He will have a rare card the one he stole when he took my father away. It was the last card that he ever made. Whoever has that card will regret the day that they were born!”

Everyone in the `audience' were awe-struck and surprised by the story and Lita says, stunned, “Oh my. I never thought that someone like Aster went through this.”

Michelle tells Amara, “You were right, Amara. Aster Phoenix is dueling for revenge and vengeance for his father.”

Amara tells Michelle, nodding her head, “However, I was surprised that he deep his anger and rage goes. I can see it in his eyes. He means every word that he said and that last statement, directly towards that person that caused him so much sorrow: Aster Phoenix will most likely carry out that promise.”

Mina says, shocked, “Whoa. I never thought a guy like Aster could go through something so horrible.”

Serena nods her head and says, “It's terrible.”

Rei nods her head and says, “I thought Aster was a jerk, but now, I can see him for what he truly is. He is full of anger and rage with probably no one else to support him. His father was like my mother, someone that he really loved, and when he left his father, his heart was full of anger and rage.”

Lita tells Rei, “We know how he feels.”

Serena says, “But it still doesn't give him the right to take it out on Jaden.”

Trista tells Serena, “Don't judge him too quickly, Serena. His heart is full of anger and rage. His desire for revenge and justice is overwhelming. And anyone that stands in his way to find his father is nothing, but an enemy to Aster. Aster will not stop until he finds the person that took his father away from him when he was young and this desire encompasses him. He shouldn't take a part of his revenge out on Jaden, but you have to understand what has happened to him. His only family member that he had was taken away from him when he was just a young child and you've got to understand how scaring it can be.”

Back on the dueling field, Jaden tells Aster, “Aster, your father created the Destiny Heroes so that people could have fun with them. He wouldn't want you to use them for revenge.”

Aster yells at Jaden, angrily, “You don't anything about him! So, butt out! Look, my father deserves justice! And I'm going to see that he gets it! Didn't you hear what I said?! He was my hero and now, I get a chance to be his!” Aster draws one card from his deck and says, with his voice full of anger, rage, and sarcasm, “Now, where were we?! Oh, I remember, we were at the end! It has been blast, Jaden!” Just then Aster's Dreadmaster card begins to glow with a violet light, Dreadmaster's eyes glow a bright violet, and his body was encompassed by a violet aura. Rei and Amara quickly sense the evil aura coming from Aster's card.

Rei thinks in her mind, “What is that aura around Aster's monster? I can sense pure evil coming from it!”

Amara thinks, worriedly, “An evil aura is coming from that card!”

As Dreadmaster continues to glow a slight bright violet color with an evil aura, only noticed by Amara, Rei, and even Trista, with a serious look on her expression, Aster calls out, “Dreadmaster, send Jaden out with a bang! Dread Fist!” Dreadmaster leaps towards Jaden's monsters, stops in front of Thunder Giant, slams his left palm into Thunder Giant, destroying it, and taking 400 life-points with it, ending the duel in Aster's victory. Aster gives a sly smirk, turns his back to Jaden with an image of Dreadmaster forming over his form, and says, “Oh, well. Told ya. You can't hide from destiny.” After Jaden's life-points go to zero and the final holograms fade away, everyone is shocked.

Alexis, Bastion, and Chazz say in unison, shocked, “Jaden lost!” Just then Jaden gives out a loud groan of pain as an evil power tries to enter his body and his cards fly out of his duel disk.

Syrus and Bastion calls out, stunned, “His cards!”

Jaden thinks in his mind, weakly, “Something . . . Something does feel right inside . . .” Just then Jaden's witness every one of his cards go blank before his eyes and he collapses to the ground on his stomach, rendering him unconsciousness.

Mina exclaims, shocked, “He fainted!”

Rei whispers to Serena, in a serious tone, “Serena, we have to get down there! Jaden is more danger than they know. That monster was filled with an evil force when it attacked.”

Serena gasps in shock and she asks, stunned, “Are you sure?”

Amara tells Serena, whispering and in a serious tone, “Positive, princess. Aster's monster will filled with an evil aura and that aura might have transferred to Jaden. Something evil power might be trying to possess him.”

Lita overhears this and says, whispering in a serious tone, “Well, what we waiting for?! Let's get down there and help him before it is too late.” Immediately, Lita leaps from the stands and onto the ground.

Serena exclaims, “Lita! Wait!” Soon after, much to the other's shock and surprise, Serena, Mina, Ami, Rei, Amara, Michelle, Hotaru, Trista, and Darien leap down from the stands, land safety on the ground, and all of run towards Jaden's fallen form.

Bastion says, amazed, “Oh my. Those girls are quite talented.”

Alexis states, stunned, “I didn't know they were athletes.”

Chancellor Crowler yells out, shocked, “Hey, that's dangerous!”

Rei yells out, annoyed, “Can it, Crowler! Can't you see that Jaden is in trouble?! Something's wrong with him!”

Alexis, Syrus, and Tyranno get out of their seats and exclaim in unison, “Jaden's in trouble?!” Without saying another word, Alexis, Syrus, and Tyranno run out of the stands and towards Jaden's fallen form. Darien puts the unconscious hero in his arms and the girls look at his unconscious form.

Serena whispers to Rei, asking her, “What do you sense?”

Rei tells Serena, in a serious tone and whispering, “Amara and I were right. Jaden was attacked from within by an evil force when Aster's monster destroyed his monster and he lost the duel.”

Lita gasps in shock and asks, whispering, “What can we do for him?”

Darien whispers in reply, “All we can do is get Jaden to infirmary as quickly as possible.”

Ami tells Darien, “Mina and I go to Luna and Atriums. They are currently staying in Mina's room in the Ra Yellow dorm since Crowler won't allow Luna to be with Serena in the Obelisk Blue dorm.”

Rei tells Darien, in a whisper, “Lita and I will pick up all of Jaden's cards.”

Michelle says, plainly, “The rest of us will go with you.”

Alexis, Syrus, and Tyranno rush to the girls and Darien and Alexis asks Darien, worriedly, “Mr. Shields, will Jaden be all right?”

Darien replies, “I'm not sure, Mr. Rhodes. He might be hurt. I'm taking him the infirmary.” Darien then puts the unconscious duelist into his arms and races off with Serena, Hotaru, Amara, Michelle, and Trista following them.

Syrus exclaims, worriedly, “Hey, wait for us! We're Jaden's friends!”

Tyranno states, “Yeah! We don't leave any of our platoon behind!” Tyranno, Alexis, and Syrus follow the rest of the group while Ami and Mina head off to the Ra Yellow dorms to find Luna and Atriums. Chazz decides to follow Alexis, Tyranno, and Syrus to the school infirmary while Bastion goes over to aid in picking up all of Jaden's cards scattered on the ground.

Lita whispers to Rei, “I guess that Luna and Atriums were right. Evil has come to this school.”

Rei tells Lita, “We had better find out what's going until it is too late.” Rei thinks in her mind, “I wonder: Since Aster is so consumed for a desire for revenge, could he have made a deal with an evil power to make sure he gets his father back from whoever who took him? Or was he a pawn for someone's sick game?” Soon after, Lita, Rei, and Bastion began to pick up Jaden's cards scattered across the dueling platform.

End Flashback; Return to the Present

Back to the present, Serena is looking over the picture of her friends, solemnly, and thinks, with a few tears in her eyes, “What we didn't know is that Aster was just an unknowing pawn in this evil, namely Sartorius, and this was just the beginning of worst times to come . . . Times that would see Sartorius' evil veil cover Duel Academy and . . . his obsession with the `Chosen Duelists' would take my friends and beloved Darien-chan away from me . . .” Serena then starts to cry once more over the memories about what happened while a female figure wearing a sailor fuku watches from the nearby trees, unnoticed by Serena.

The mysterious female figure, most likely a Sailor Scout, says, in a deep young woman's voice and a serious tone, “I know you weep now, Princess of the Moon Kingdom. That evil has taken your beloved . . . and my brother along with your friends by blinding them with its evil light. I feel your pain, but do not despair . . . Soon, you will have your chance to take your vengeance upon this scum of the universe and save the universe as you are always meant to, but this time, the light of your Silver Crystal will not be enough. Even through his light is impure, it is the same element as yours and there is only one power in the universe that can restore the balance of life: Darkness. I fear that I must get the two sets of items that can give you and the other `Chosen Ones' this power . . . the true kuroizuishou of Nemesis and the seven Millennium Items. In order to save this world from the evil light, you and Jaden Yuki must embrace the powers of darkness. I pray that your inner light is still strong enough not to be consumed by it because even their powers were meant to bring balance to the universe, they bring out the darkness within you and it might destroy you. But in order to bring back those that you love from the evil light and save the universe, it is necessary. Well, this is it! This is the first chapter of my newest story! Like I said before, it has nothing in connection from the `Destiny Stars' storyline. It has some elements that I used in that story, but this is a totally different story. Anyway, I know that you want to see the action, but this and the next chapter is going to be mainly flashbacks to show how it got to the present! I know! It's a pain, but it will allow to understand how it got to this point in the present. However, when the third chapter starts, there is going to be plenty of major action and Yugi and his friends along with Kagome and Inuyasha are going to in Chapter 3. And yes, Kagome is going to play a major role in this story. I don't want to reveal the plot, but Jaden, Aster, and Serena won't be the only `Chosen Duelists' in this story. And by the way, with that kuroizuishou that I used, it is actually two words of Japanese. `Kuroi' is `Black' in Japanese and `Zuishou' in Crystal in Japanese, so this word means `Black Crystal'. Sorry if I'm insulting you in anyway, but I just want to help you understand the elements that I put in. Before I go, what do you think of Serena's Duel Spirits? Plus, I would like to warn you: Starting around the middle to the end of Chapter 2 and going on through the rest of the story, there is going to be a lot of OOC, out of character, `situations' by the characters from Sailor Moon, both series of Yu-Gi-Oh, and Inuyasha, especially by Jaden, Serena, Kagome, Inuyasha, and Tyranno, in this story. Anyway, please read and review and tell me what you think of this new Yu-Gi-Oh GX/Sailor Moon crossover story. I will read your reviews as soon as possible and catch you later, Crossover Fans!
