Chapter one `The next great duelists'

 

A girl rushed around in her room getting stuff together into a bunch of suitcases. Her pink hair flowed behind her as she rushed around. “I'm almost ready Phoenix,” she said as her brown eyes glance around to make sure she's not forgetting anything. She wore a red t-shirt and blue jeans along with sneakers.

 

“I hope so Kaiya because you maybe late,” Phoenix said, “Your friends will be here soon.” Phoenix looks like a smaller version of Sacred Phoenix. Suddenly the doorbell rings. “Right on cue.” She vanishes as Kaiya rushed out of her room with her suitcases. She arrived at the bottom of the stairs to see all her friends waiting for her.

 

“Hey guy's!” Kaiya called as she greeted her friends.

 

“Hey Kaiya!” answered Azumi Truesdale, the daughter of Syrus Truesdale. She and Kaiya had grown up close to one another and they became best friends just like their dad's had been. She had a blue shirt and skirt set on with pale blue shoes.

 

“Took you long enough,” Jessica Phoenix, the daughter of Aster Phoenix, said. She looked exactly like her father and she had the same attitude. She wore a pale white business jacket and a black mini skirt. She is always about business.

 

“Leave her alone Jess,” Brittany Misawa, the daughter of Bastion Misawa, scolded. Brittany looked just like her father even right down to the way she dressed. She loved wearing yellow since yellow is her favorite color. She had many decks hidden inside her coat, just like her dad. “Come on we better get going.”

 

“Right let's go,” Kaiya said and they all headed towards Duel University. What is Duel University? It is the newest school where anyone can come and learn to duel like the pros. But unlike Duel Academy everyone is an equal here. No houses so no one looks down except the snobs of the school.

 

When the gang arrived at the school they all saw how huge it was. “It's huge!” Jamie Anderson, the daughter of Jesse Anderson, said gazing up at the building. Jaime had inherited the Crystal Beasts from her father. Indeed the building was huge. It was bigger than any building any of them had seen.

 

“Come on troops! Forward march!” Toji Hassleberry, the son of Tyranno Hassleberry, called. Toji was just like his dad in everyway right down to his deck and the military talk. With that the group headed inside the building.

 

As they walked over to check what rooms they were going to be in someone bumped into Kaiya. “Hey watch it,” he said angerly.

 

“Huh? You were the one that bumped into me,” Kaiya said turning to face him.

 

The boy got a smirk on his face. “Well, well. If it isn't little miss Kaiya Yuki,” he said.

 

Kaiya cringed when she realized who it was. `Way did it have to be Issac?' “What do you want Princeton?” Kaiya asked him.

 

Issac glanced at the group behind her. “I see you brought along the geek patrol.” Kaiya snarled slightly. He glanced down at Kaiya's side to see Azumi. “Hey your not allowed to be here. You belong in Duel Pre-School.” He laughed.

 

Jessica came to Azumi defense. “That was low Issac even for you.”

 

“Heh. I bet I can beat anyone of you with my deck and I've been here longer than any of you,” Issac bragged.

 

“Let's see you back that up,” Kaiya said becoming angry at the way that Issac was talking down to her friends.

 

Not that far away another group noticed Kaiya and Issac fighting. “Looks like a duel fight is about to break out,” one boy said. He had dusty blonde hair and brown eyes. His hairstyle looked like Joey Wheeler's.

 

“If they don't stop now there's going to be an all out duel right in the middle of the entrance,” another boy said. He looked just like Tristen, but with green eyes.

 

The last boy's gaze was completely on Kaiya. He had brown hair and intense violet eyes. He stood up and walked over to Kaiya and Issac. He stood between them. “I suggest you two head to a duel arena to settle this before it escalates,” he suggested.

 

“Fine. I'll meet you in 5 minuets to have a duel to determine who is better,” Issac said and then he stalked away.

 

“I'll be there and we'll see who's the better duelist,” Kaiya said to herself glaring after Issac.

 

“You're really going to fight him?” Azumi asked Kaiya.

 

“He left me little choice.” She turned to Brittany. “Where's the duel arena?”

 

“Up this hallway and to the left,” she said. Kaiya nodded and headed down the hallway with the rest of her group following.

 

The boy who got between Kaiya and Issac watched Kaiya walk off. `She's got power. That I'm sure of.'

 

A girl walked over to the boy. She gazed up at him. “Why did you do that bro?” she asked. (She looks like this -> http://shegoxp.deviantart.com/art/Challenging-Aru-Moto-5062 9934 )

 

“It needed to been done. Come on for some reason I want to see this duel,” he said and then followed in the same direction that Kaiya and her friends went. The girl turned to the two other boys and then rushed after her brother with the boys following her.

 

Soon Kaiya's group was standing behind her as she and Issac prepared to duel. Both slipped on a Duel Academy duel disk. “You ready to lose Yuki?” Issac taunted.

 

“Not likely Princeton,” Kaiya called back as both their disks activated.

 

Kaiya: 4000

Issac: 4000

 

“I'll allow you to go first since you're a girl and a newbie here,” Issac said.

 

“Fine by me. Like my dad always said `Get your game on!'. Let's go!” Kaiya said as she drew her card. “First I'll summon Elemental Heroine Aphrodite in attack mode!” Appearing on the field was a girl with long flowing blonde hair and blue eyes in a yellow gown.

 

Elemental Heroine Aphrodite - Attack: 1500/ Defense: 1500

 

“What in the world is that Rai?” asked the dusty blonde hair boy.

 

“I've never seen that card before,” Rai answered.

 

“What is that?” Issac asked.

 

“Oh! You've never meet any Elemental Heroine's before have you? Sorry. These cards were created just for me thanks to my dad's old friend Chumly who works for Pegasus. They are known as the Elemental Heroine's, females heroes almost like my dad's Elemental Hero's, but totally different. For example there are no fusions for this deck. I also have a field spell here just for my Heroines and it's called Lunar Palace!” Kaiya said as she placed the field spell into the field spell zone and a marble palace appeared behind her. “This card gives all of my Elemental Heroine's a plus 300-attack boost. So my Aphrodite gains a boost.”

 

Elemental Heroine Aphrodite - Attack: 1800/Defense: 1500

 

“Wow! Now it's at 1800!” Azumi said.

 

“Go get'em girl!” Toji called to Kaiya.

 

“That ends my turn,” Kaiya said turning it over to Issac.

 

“Nice move, but mine will be better. Draw!” Issac said. He glanced at his hand and smirked. “I summon Axe Raider in attack mode!” The axe-wielding monster appeared on the field.

 

Axe Raider - Attack: 1700/ Defense: 1150

 

“He still can't beat her Heroine,” Jaime said.

 

“Unless he has a card that powers up his own monster!” Brittany exclaimed.

 

“Your right geek. I activate Axe of despair and equip it to my Axe Raider!” Issac said. The new axe flew over to Axe Raider who grabbed it and gained the boost.

 

Axe Raider - Attack: 2700/Defense: 1150

 

“This could hurt,” Azumi said.

 

“You got that right. With no trap cards to defend her she's wide open for an attack,” Jessica stated.

 

“Axe Raider attack!” Issac called. The warrior charged Kaiya's female warrior and destroyed her. Kaiya glared at Issac as the dust began to clear.

 

Kayla: 3100

Issac: 4000

 

“Kaiya!” Azumi exclaimed.

 

“You're done for!” Issac said and then he began to laugh.
