Jensea sighed as she shook her head at Raven after she was pushed towards the balcony door.
` Looks like she's happy… ' She thought with a smile on her face. Turning towards the balcony that Raven had mentioned where Seto Kaiba had retreated to, she took a deep breath. ` No need to be nervous… ' A spunk filled voice from within her said, urging her onward.
Once she had reached the wall that the door to said balcony adjoined, she hid in its shadows, looking out upon the tall figure that stood outside. ` He looks troubled… ' She thought. ` Maybe I should try to talk to him later… ' As she started to let her deep green eyes leave his form, she felt someone or something mentally shove her. ` Geez! Okay, okay! Point taken! ' She hissed, slowly taking a step towards the open door.
Unknowing that anyone was watching him, Seto Kaiba continued to look at the sky, a heavy sigh coming from him as he rested his head in his hands. ` It's finally over… No more fighting… Yugi beat me fair and square… ' He then looked down at the necklace that dangled from his sturdy neck. Hitting the latch on the locket like medallion that hung from it, he smiled at the picture of his little brother on the inside.
` Why can't I be so carefree like that again? ' He wondered, closing the locket and thumbing a ring that was obviously that of a female that drooped beside the locket. ` What's more, why can't I remember who gave me this ring? I know it came from someone at the orphanage Mokuba and I were at as children, but… who gave it to me and why? ' Another sigh came from him.
All the while, Jensea watched him. ` Damned me for being so shy… ' She thought before slowly stepping out onto the balcony. The same reason that held her back from speaking to him was the same reason she lost to him during the tournament. She, like her friend Raven, was a new comer as well. She had long been an admirer of Seto Kaiba and the duel monster game, but never joined in herself till recently. Even though she had blown many a duelist away with her talents and strategic skills, she had lost it all in the end due to her damned shyness.
As her mind raced, she did not watch her step and the next thing she knew, she was flat on her back.
Hearing the crash behind him, Kaiba jumped and looked over his shoulder. "Who's there!?" His strong voice boomed with a fierce growl. ` Damnit!!! There I go placing that mask up again! ' he mentally kicked himself. But, he wanted to kill himself when he saw who was the noisemaker. "Jensea Hynizo?" He asked, going over to her to help her up.
"Kaiba! I'm so sorry about that!" She said as she gladly took his offered hand of help. "I didn't mean to be a bother…"
"Oh no! Not at all…" He said as he pulled her to her feet. "Please, call me Seto.."
"Thank you… Seto…" She said with a smile, looking down at her feet as she felt her face catch aflame with a blush. She did not look up at him till she felt him smooth a strand of hair that had fallen into her face behind her left ear.
"What brings you out here?" He asked, turning from her after realizing what he had done. Glancing at her as he heard her step to the railing of the balcony, he smiled.
"Oh… I just needed some fresh air… I… I hope you don't mind." She looked over at him. With out warning, the moment that she did, their gazes locked.
For the first time in his life, Seto Kaiba realized that he wanted to be around someone other then his little brother. He wanted to hold her close and tell her everything about his past, his father, and even why he feels the way he does towards people today. ` Why? Why do I feel this? ' He stressed and beat himself up for an answer, but only came to one that he could not and never knew really how to understand. Love was something that he had always been afraid of from any woman.
"Not at all." He whispered after their gazes had been long lost in the others for what seemed like eternity. Jensea's face then became aglow with another red-hot wave of timid ness, turning her head to hide it from him, she broke their deadlocked gaze.
As a moment or so passed, an eerie, non-sustainable silence started to heavily hover in the air that hung between them. But that was physically, not mentally. Their minds buzzed with thoughts, needs, wants, and deep emotion.
Kaiba glanced at her out of the corner of his eye, a feel of awe washing over him as he saw the wind blow through her hair, making her soft oriental skin glow in the moon light above. Oh how he would do anything to feel her close to him, their bodies touching, moving in a never ending waltz. He wanted to feel the soft strands of her hair the more that he found he wanted to stroke her, caress her, make her his own.
But, low and behold, Jensea felt all he same things he did. She craved the feel of his lips on her, the movement of his hands down her back and in her hair. Most of all, she yearned for the feel of his body against her own, his hips touching hers, their tongues dancing to the rhythm that surrounded them. She couldn't fight her urge anymore.
"Would… wouldyoucaretodance?" They both asked the other at the same time, bursting out into a fit of giggles and chuckles afterwards.
"I would love too." Jensea said with a smile, taking the arm that Seto offered to her. Leading her into the dance hall, he sensed the feel of both a new emotion and the change in the tempo of the music that filled the air. Looking over to the disc jockey table, he smirked at his little brother as he gave him thumbs up. :: Must've seen me come in with her… :: He thought before entering the crowd in the middle of the floor.
Letting her lead him to where Malik and Raven were still dancing away together, he smiled once she stopped. Pulling her back against him, he took her hands in his own and kissed along her arm as he led it to drape over his shoulder and let it go from there, all the while swaying with her against him to the music.
A soft gasp came from her lips as he dipped back a little into her, shockwaves of new feelings filling her body as his own lips moved to her neck. She could tell this night was far from over.
