Chapter 6
Disclaimers: Yeah, yeah, yeah. You all know the deal. Do I have to repeat myself to make you look dumb? I don't think so. ^.^

"Jensea!"
"Raven!"
Seto and Malik ran towards where the two girls had been dueling and look for them all around. Malik had his rod tight in his hand, using it to try and sense the girls out, but all he came across was a closing time barrier. Seto some how felt this as well. He then turned his gaze to the smirking Pegasus where he was perched on his float. "Now I know why you came back…. To ruin my life again!"
"Tsk, tsk, tsk, Kaiba-boy. I have nothing to do with your lover's strange disappearance. Maybe you should consult your cards." Pegasus laughed, disappearing as well into thin air as Seto charged at him.
No sooner had he got into grabbing range of the silver haired mullet head, Seto Kaiba found himself grabbing at thin air and falling to his knees on the other side of the float. A threat came from his lips, deep from his soul as he raged in a mighty voice that all could hear, "I WILL GET YOU FOR THIS, PEGASUS! I WILL NEVER LET YOU SEE ANY MERCY!"

"There is no way that we could have traveled through time and space! I do not, can not, will NOT believe it!" Raven said, pacing back and forth on the clock tower where she and her friend had run into the real gargoyles.
Jensea sighed. "Raven-chan, calm down, please."
"What if we can't make it back!?" She exclaimed before adding, "I'LL NEVER GET TO SEE MALIK AGAIN!"
"Raven!" her friend exclaimed back, standing and grabbing her friend by the shoulders. "I said it once and I will say it again, calm down! We will get home. There has to be a reason for this."
"Well…." Broadway chimed in. "Our friends were kidnapped the other night. Do you think that there is a reason why they were kidnapped and that they are your cards now?"
Jensea sighed, thinking a moment. "Someone must be after the items and are using this clan as bait." She stated, looking at her hands. "It's the only logical reason."
"Thanks for the lecture, Miss. Einstein. Now can you figure out a way to go home?" Raven murmured, really pissed at this point.
"We are here for a reason, Raven." She said, looking over at her friend. "And we cannot leave till that reason is found and dealt with." She then turned her green eyes back to her feet. "Hm…" She thought. For hours she stood there, thinking.
Meanwhile, Broadway showed Raven a good place to get some grub. "Who was this May… lc… ic person you were talking about to Jensea earlier?"
She could not help but giggle at the blue gargoyle's poor attempt to say her lover's name. "Malik is one of the greatest men I know. He's elegant, thoughtful, and full of surprises."
"Sounds like he really is a true keeper for you then." He said, gliding on the wind, making sure that she stayed on his back.
Raven blushed a little. "I guess you're right." She said, clinging to his broad neck.
"What about you and Jensea? You two seemed to go off at one another rather easily…" he went on, slowly following the draft of wind.
"We're too close for our own good, I think. We're like sisters, in that way." She went on, looking at the scenery as it went by. "Even though we fight easily like that, we always make up. It's one thing I wouldn't change for the world."
Broadway then landed near a pizza parlor. "Sounds like the way that Brooklyn and Lex get along…. Each teaching the other new things, even though they're always disagreeing." He let her down, moving to the kitchen to talk to the chef, whom he knew very well.
His words were very wise and caught Raven rather off guard. But she knew, all in all, he was right. Pulling the card that had brought her to this strange world out of her pocket and looking it over, she smiled, looking it over. ` Maybe this was a way to remind Jensea and I of how we are… ' She thought. ` But there has to be more to this than that… Am I not looking outside of the box far enough to see what I am meant to? '

Malik sighed as he sat in one of the chairs of Seto's private office, looking at his rod as Seto typed away on his computer. "I keep telling you, tracking their cards will not get you anywhere."
"What do you know about technology…" The Eldest Kaiba snarled.
"What's there to know? You modern day humans rely far too much on it!" Malik stood, walking towards the door.
"Oh yeah?! Well, to every technological reason, there is a back door." Seto stood, enraged.
Stopping mid stride, Malik turned back to face the brown haired champion, anger and agitation clearly written in his features. "When are you going to get it into your feeble, closed off, selfish, inconsiderate mind that this has nothing to do with technology, Kaiba?!"
Seto gasped, realizing that, even though he did not want to admit it, that Malik was right.
"A darkness caused this." The rod bearer turned his violet eyes to the ground. "Anything unlike the darker side to the items, Kaiba. Unlike the shadow realm, and unlike anything you and I have ever seen." He then turned his gaze to his friend. "We're going to have to stick through this together and learn to stop fighting and forget what happened in Battle City in order to get the girls that."
When he saw that Kaiba was going to go off in a rage and protest, Malik raised an innocent hand. "Please. Hear me out and if you don't do this for the rest of us and the world, then do it for Jensea."
Seto closed his eyes, turning from Malik. He was the only one that had so far confronted him about knowing the love that he held for Jensea. Already, he missed the light that she had brought into his life. The light that he had only seen from his little brother in the last few years, the light of innocence and unconditional love. He had learned that everything had a cost in life, and it applied even now. He then turned to face Malik again and offered him a hand of forgiveness. "I will do this. But, only for Jensea."
Malik nodded. "For Jensea and Raven it is then." He took Kaiba's hand, happy to at last have a little bit of trust resurface in his long lost friend. But, getting him to remember the love of Jensea in the past and the friendship that Kaiba had held with the others and himself was going to be a lot harder then he thought.
