Yugi- Dead Or Alive Volleyball Player?!

(Author's Notes: Hello, everyone! I must say, I really liked the reviews sent in. Especially the ones from one Erick-Genryusai, about the plot and all. Thank you very much for the review, but I already have a plot for this one. But, just so you know, it borders so close near your idea.

Yugi: DJ has already had a plot for this fanfic, otherwise he wouldn't have written it.

Chapter 4

It was late afternoon, about 2:30 p.m., when Yugi and his new friends Kasumi, Lei Fang, Hitomi, Tina, and Lisa emerged from the Casino area. Yugi was bushed. He had won about $45,000 dollars, thanks to $10,000 Tina gave him to play. He had never gambled before, but was taught quickly by Tina and Lisa. Apparently, Yugi had some luck with him and won at the Roulette table, Blackjack, Poker, and at the Slots! Yugi planned to save his money, just in case. They also ate five-star lunches, something Yugi was so new to. He ate like a king. Now, they were lounging about on the Front Deck near the pool, soaking up some sun and frequently jumping in the pool. "Say, Yugi.", Lei Fang started to say. He looked at from his lying position on one of the deck chairs and replied, "Hmm". She then asked, "So, what is the concept of Duel Monsters?". Yugi wasn't surprised that she didn't have a clue on what it was. Kasumi, Hitomi, Tina, and Lisa also wanted to see on what Duel Monsters was. "Instead of just telling you. I'll show you. Hold on a minute.", he told them all before getting up and leaving for his room. While he was gone, the girls started to chatter. Particularly about a certain, eighteen year old boy with tri-colored, spiky hair.

"Mmmm. That Yugi is a really sweet kid.", Kasumi commented. Lei Fang added, "Not only that, but he's honest and sincere too. Not too many guys are like that nowadays.". Hitomi stated, "What's really cool about Yugi is that he actually survived against all those odds! I mean, facing loony millionaires, crazy businessmen, and a psychotic Egyptian with dark powers!". Tina chuckled and commented, "That still seems a bit farfetched for me to believe, but I trust Yugi for it to be the truth.". Tina added, "I do too. He seems like a trustworthy and truthful kid.". Kasumi then said her thoughts out loud, "I wonder if he has a girlfriend?". That little comment just drew the four other girls' attention rather quickly, as well as two other interlopers who were passing by. "Hahaha! Don't tell me my little half-sister is having the hots for that puny kid?!", Ayane declared with a haughty laugh. The girls turned around to see her and Helena behind Kasumi. "Well, I wouldn't blame her if she does! I do!", Lei Fang put in. Hitomi added, "Me too! I think Yugi would make an excellent boyfriend!". Helena just laughed out loud and declared, "This is too much! Three DOA fighters, skilled in the martial arts and facing towering men of strength… falling for a common teenager?!". Tina defended, "Hey, leave them alone! If I was three years younger, I would go out with that cutie!". "Go out with whom?", a voice asked from behind Helena and Ayane. The two women turned to see little Yugi Moto.

"Oh, nothing. Just someone I know.", Tina tried to cover up. All of them would be embarrassed if Yugi had heard their conversation. Yugi had a quizzical, yet cute look on his face, then he shrugged it off. "Sorry it took so long.", he apologized when he went to his four sexy, beautiful women friends. He passed Helena and Ayane, whom decided to stay to see on what his game was. "Here you go.", he said as he took out a pack of cards from his left pocket. He showed it to them, and they saw a human draped in a purple cloak and strange hat. He had a serious expression on his face, and also carried a tall, green staff. "This are Duel Monster cards, and this is my second favorite. This is the Dark Magician.", Yugi told them. The girls seemed to be fascinated by the drawing of the monster. "Here, this is my #1 favorite.", he said while shuffling through the cards. He explained, "A friend of mine from long ago sent me this card via mail package. He said it best represented me, so he said I should have it.". After some rifling through, he found it. This card, was a very beautiful and lovely monster. It was a woman, seeming to be an angel. She was holding a young man tight, her wings wrapped around him and seemingly to be at peace with him. Her face was serene and calm, boarding to even loving the young man. "This is the Soul of Purity and Light card.", he told them.

For the next twenty minutes, he started to explain the types of cards, how the game was played, and also on which card deck suited the Duelist best. They were all fascinated that this simple card game was actually quite complicated. "This type of game requires not only strategy, but also faith and trust in yourself and the cards.", he told them. Lisa asked, "Why is that?". Yugi explained that if you put your heart into creating a deck, it will be of more use to you. "It has worked for me, believe me. It saved myself and Yami's lives when we were trapped by Pegasus in the Shadow Realm.", he finished saying. As they went through the cards, Yugi gave them some cards he said suited them very well and showed their personality. "Kasumi, I think this card suits you well.", he said while giving it to her. It was a Monster card, the Aqua Spirit card. Kasumi looked over it carefully, and saw that card was indeed beautiful. "Thank you, Yugi.", she said with a smile. She then gave Yugi a kiss on the cheek, which made his redder then a rose. Lei Fang was given the Monster card Cure Mermaid, Hitomi the Monster card Gyakutenno Megami, Tina the Monster card Flame Champion, Lisa the Monster card Robolady, Ayane the Ritual Monster card Performance of Swords, and Helena the Monster card Injection Fairy Lily. All of the girls thanked Yugi with a kiss on the cheeks, which made him very happy and also very red. Heck, he was even surprised that Helena and Ayane gave him a kiss! "You all can keep those. Think of them as presents from me.", he said. "Thank you.", was the response from them all.

Ayane and Helena soon left for their rooms, thanking Yugi once again for the cards. Lei Fang turned to see her wristwatch, and saw that it was about 3:00 p.m. "Hey, everyone!", she announced. They all turned and gave her their attention. "A good movie is playing right now, in the theater next to the Casino.", she told them. Yugi was wondering on how rich Zack was, for having this boat and its luxuries. "What is playing, anyway?", Hitomi asked. Lisa answered this one, "I hear that it's The Last Samurai, and its pretty good.". Everyone nodded their heads, agreeing that it would be cool to see that movie. "Well, we better go back and change. It starts in less then 30 minutes.", Lisa informed them. They rose from their seats, and took off for their rooms. As it happened to be, Yugi was between Kasumi's room and Lei Fang's room. When he was in the comfort of his room, Yugi sighed out greatly, so glad and happy that this was happening to him! In a long while, he had been left out and unwanted. Now, he was warm for the first time. "I'm very glad that Tsunami gave me her invitation. I would be back home, being all alone in my room.", he said to himself quietly. Shaking the dread mood that was slowly coming over him, it was replaced with an anxious atmosphere. He went to his dresser and opened it up. "What am I going to wear?!", he exclaimed in a panic. This is was going to be a very big event for him, and he wanted to look good enough for his new girl friends. He rummaged through his clothes, and soon found what he was looking for. He took a quick shower, brushed his teeth thoroughly, and then put on his clothes. He put on a fresh white t-shirt that had the Team Ninja insignia on the upper-right hand corner in small, bold red letters and fresh sky blue jeans.

Kasumi was running through her own clothes as well. She had bought some bikinis, her fighting clothes, and also some casual/formal wear. 'Why am I being so nervous about this?! It's just a movie I'm going to!', she thought. Then, the reason hit her like a ton of bricks. It was because Yugi was coming along, and seeing him had an effect on her. 'Could I really be… falling for Yugi?', she asked herself. Sure, she had met plenty of other handsome guys in her travels and fights. But yet, none of them ever had the effect Yugi had on her. 'This is silly. I really shouldn't think too much on this.', she chided herself. She then found something suitable to wear. She took a shower, did the necessary things (brush teeth, comb hair, etc.), and put on her clothes. It was a hot pink shirt, black jean shorts, and pink sneakers. 'I hope I'm not the only one feeling something like this towards Yugi.', she prayed. She was surely not the only one who was feeling this way! Lei Fang and Hitomi were also like this, but something else was surprising. Ayane, the deadly assassin and ninja martial artists… she was also falling for our hero! She was in her room right now, still holding the card Yugi gave her tightly. 'I was very rude to him… yet, he gave this to me as a present.', she thought. He acted nice and sincere towards her, and was also very bold and courageous. He proved that by standing up to her earlier. "Hmm. Maybe this Yugi kid is special after all.", she told herself.

~Back in Domino~

Yami was back in the Game Shop, thinking of a plan to go to Zack's Island and bringing Yugi back home. Solomon went out on an errand, leaving Yami to tend the shop. "Hmmm. There has got to be someway to get there and get that little shrimp back here!", he said to himself. Just then, a bell rung and that signified a customer had entered. He set his plans aside, and tended to the customer. Thanks to Yugi and Solomon's help, he was prepared to actually tend to customers like a normal person. "Welcome to the Turtle Game Shop.", he told the customer. Surprisingly enough, the customer was Tsunami! She was getting something for her little brother, and was now browsing around. "Need some help?", he asked her. Yami did not recognize Tsunami, nor knew her. She shook her head and answered, "No thank you, Yami.". Now, the ex-Pharaoh was surprised that someone he did not know, knew him. "Excuse me, but… who are you?", he asked. Tsunami smiled bitterly and answered, "My name is Tsunami Sakura.". She continued, "You may not know me, but I know a lot about you, thanks to your little brother Yugi.". Now, let it be known that Yugi and Yami were considered to be twin brothers to all. Yami was puzzled, until he remembered seeing her name in Yugi's letter.

"So, are you the Tsunami who gave my 'brother' that invitation to the next DOA tournament?", he inquired suspiciously. She looked at him square in the eye and answered firmly, "Yes, I am.". Yami was now very angry, and he let it show. "Thanks to you, Yugi is now on that very boat going to that tournament!", he exclaimed. Tsunami had a smirk forming on her face as she said, "That's good to hear. I was afraid he wouldn't go.". Yami then demanded, "Do you know a way to get him back here?!". Tsunami looked confused and retorted, "Why do you want him back here?". Yami's impatience grew as he shot back, "To punish him for doing such a foolish and stupid thing!". Tsunami's anger was also rising as she replied calmly, "I don't know how to get him back. But, if I did, I sure as hell am not telling you.". Without another word, she left the Game Shop. Yami was seething. Soon after she left, his friends came in. Joey was messed up big time; having a black eye, red hand-imprinted cheeks, a busted lip, and also some slash marks on his arms. Serenity had managed to bandage up his wounds and bruises, but it would take time for them to heal. "Who was that, Yami?", Duke inquired. Yami then started to tell them on who she was, and also what she had done. 'Now, I really need to find a way to get that brat back here!', he thought.

~At the boat~

It was now nighttime, the movie being very long. Yugi had a great time, seeing the movie and also getting the girls some refreshments. After that, they left to go get some food for dinner. Now, Yugi was roaming about the Rear Deck. She had just finished eating and was gazing at the beautiful stars in the sky. The sky was clear and bright, being lit by a large white/blue full moon. 'You just can't get any that back in the city.', he thought. The city lights would usually blot out the moon and stars, making the night somewhat dismal. Now, it was clear that the night served to be beautiful, serene, and also intoxicating. The simple, yet stunning beauty of it entranced the young man. "Yugi?", a voice came from behind. He turned around, and saw Kasumi. The stars that captivated Yugi's attention, were now replaced by the beautiful ninja girl before him. She was wearing a lovely and elegant purple kimono, which suited her quite well. Her hair was long and flowing freely, giving Yugi the illusion that she was some sort of goddess. Her warm smile and soft brown eyes captivated the young man's attention, him thinking that she was simply too beautiful to be considered human. She turned away slightly, very shy from his intense stare. He snapped out of it by shaking his head back and forth furiously. "Sorry about that. I didn't mean to.", he said apologetically while blushing furiously.

Kasumi smile went slightly wider at this statement, as she slowly went to Yugi's side. "Its okay.", she reassured him. Yugi smiled as he looked at her, seeing that she was indeed truly a breath taking sight. When Kasumi went to his side, both now stared up at the beautiful, clear night sky. "Its so peaceful out here.", she whispered. Yugi replied, "It is. That's why I went out here. It very quiet and peaceful, something to take your mind off things that trouble you.". Kasumi smiled ironically as she thought, 'I was coming out to do just that. Only now… its not possible, anymore.'. The two continued to star-gaze, very much entranced by the sky and calming sound of the ocean. However, that was not the only thing they were entranced with. The two then looked at each other, very much focused on the other. It was like they were under a spell, and nothing it would seem could break it. "Hey, you guys.", a voice called out. It ruined the moment, as they turned to see on who it was. It was Lei Fang, Hitomi, Lisa, and Tina. All of them were wearing very lovely dresses; Lei Fang a red Chinese gown with long leg slits on the sides and gold lining with dragon symbols on it, Hitomi a beautiful sky blue dress that shimmered in the light, Tina a black evening dress with some sparkles on it that made her look intoxicating and mysterious, and Lisa a crimson dress that made her look stunning and very welcoming.

"Hey. What's up?", Yugi replied. Kasumi's mood was ruined, and we all know why. Tina said, "Well, there is a dance at the Ballroom right now. Its pretty good.". Hitomi looked at Yugi and asked sweetly, "Care to dance with us, Yugi?". Yugi blushed and replied, "Sure. But, just for the record, I'm not exactly the best dancer in the world.". Lei Fang smiled at the young man and said, "Its okay. As long as you can dance, that's fine with us.". Seeing that he was not exactly dressed for the occasion, he asked for them to wait for awhile so he could get dressed properly. They all said yes, and that's when he zoomed off again towards his room. While they were waiting, Lei Fang and Hitomi decided to have a little "chat" with Kasumi. "So, what were you two doing out here?", Lei Fang asked suspiciously. Kasumi's face reddened slightly in embarrassment as she replied, "Nothing! Just… star gazing.". Hitomi went towards her, skipping some. She then said, "Was it the stars, or something else?". Kasumi's face reddened some more at that inquiry. Lei Fang smirked some and said, "Don't take this the wrong way, Kasumi. But, I'm afraid that Yugi is going to busy with me to notice you anymore.". This got her attention really quick. Hitomi stated, "Until Yugi decides on who he wants as his girlfriend, you, myself, and Lei Fang are rivals for his heart.". Lisa protested, "But, you girls are friends here! Is it really worth losing over a guy?".

Lei Fang stated, "In most cases, no. But, now that we have met Yugi, I would say yes.". Hitomi added, "Yugi is a really rare and special guy. I would really like to get to know him better, and it would be an honor to be his girlfriend.". Kasumi was about to say something in protest, but then Yugi returned. He was dressed up in a sharp tuxedo, which made him look very handsome. "Sorry if it's a bit cliché, but it was the only thing good enough to wear.", he told them while allowing them to look him over. Tina smiled and said, "Its not cliché, kid. It really makes you look good!". Yugi blushed slightly and smiled bashfully. Kasumi sighed, now knowing that if she wanted to be with Yugi, she would have to go to the dance as is. "Something wrong, Kasumi?", Yugi asked in slight concern. She looked up and smiled at the considerate young man. "No, its nothing Yugi.", she replied quietly. Yugi didn't buy it one bit, but knew that now was not the time to press it. Lei Fang went to Yugi's right side, Hitomi on the left. Both girls took hold of his arms, and the former Duelist playfully escorted the two ladies. Kasumi followed behind, looking rather sad. Above her, stood a figure cloaked in shadow. It was a girl with purple hair, wearing a very dark purple dress. It was Ayane, and she saw the whole thing. "Well, well. It looks like Kasumi has competition to win that boy's heart.", she said to herself. A smirk appeared on her face as she added, "Too bad for her that she has one more competitor.". Like the wind, she left in an instant!

(Author's Notes: So, how was this? I hope it wasn't too overdone.

Yugi: I think this is very good stuff here!

Darien: Me too! So, what happens now?

DJ: Well, next chapter, they land on the island! Zack will make an appearance, and boy will he be upset when he sees Yugi and how he came to be on his island. Also, the girls are not going to be pleased when they find out that Zack had tricked them all and he only wanted them to himself!

Darien: Here is a question for you Yugi fangirls out there: Would you think Yugi would be an excellent boyfriend for you?
