Yugi- Dead or Alive Volleyball Player?!

Yugi: They wouldn't do that! You're too popular right now to be forgotten that soon.

Chapter 13

Yugi and the others were now in the hallways of the hotel on the top floor, very much tired and worn out, but happy at the same time. They had danced and partied the night away, and had lots of fun! Yugi was about to go into his room when he felt a warm, gentle hand on his shoulder. He turned around, and was now gazing into the faces of Helena and Tina. "Yes?", he inquired curiously. The two women smiled at him, and both gave him a kiss on each cheek. He turned crimson red at this move. Helena whispered, "We just want to thank you, for everything you done for us.". Yugi gave out a cute, bashful smile as he replied, "No problem. I wouldn't have it any other way.". Tina smile widened slightly as she said, "Still, what you and said meant a lot to us. You are a good man, cutie.". They gave him one last goodnight kiss before leaving to their rooms. Yugi was red as wine, and he was a bit in a daze as he went inside his room. When he closed it and locked it, four girls were peeking out from their respective doors. It was Kasumi, Ayane, Lei Fang, and Hitomi. They had heard and seen everything, and were quite impressed on what Yugi was doing. 'I have got to say, that young man there has a wonderful talent for seeing the good and potential in others.', Ayane thought. Kasumi whispered to herself, "Yugi really is a good man, and not just physically. Any girl that gains his love is truly lucky.". Lei Fang thought, 'He's sensitive, caring, giving, and also understanding. More so then that Jann Lee!'. Hitomi also whispered to herself, "He seems to be a very sweet, gentle man. Very much rare, nowadays.". Then, the answer to them was clear. They all thought at the same time, "Tomorrow, I shall try to win his heart and love! That is the ultimate prize and honor in all of the universe!". With that in mind, they went to bed. Each had their own, unique dream about Yugi being with them.

Next morning, around 8:00 a.m., Yugi woke up and got dressed for the upcoming day. "I wonder what's going to happen today?", he asked himself lazily, still a bit tired from last night's activities. He heard a knock at his door, and when he opens it, he finds Ayane standing before him. She was in a purple robe, which made Yugi a little nervous. Then, he saw that she had a very sad and forlorn look in her eyes and face. "Good morning, Ayane.", he greeted as he let her in. She stepped in, and Yugi closed the door behind them. She sat down at the edge of his bed, her eyes a bit hollow. Yugi sat down beside her and gave her a genuine concerned look. "Ayane, is something the matter?", he asked. She nodded slightly as she answered, "Yes, Yugi-sama. There is something that is troubling me.". He put a gentle arm around her shoulders and inquired, "Anything I can do to help?". She shook her head, still not facing him. "I don't think you can, Yugi.", she whispered. He gently took her chin and held so that she was now facing him. "I won't know unless I hear it. Please, tell me.", he requested. She was hesitant at first, then she decided that it wouldn't do him harm to hear it. She took a deep breath and said, "I'm very worried about my father, Genra.". She then told him on how he adopted her and taught her the Mugen Tenshin Style Ninjutsu Hajin Mon fighting arts. "He was very good to me, and raised me well. But, he was then turned into a puppet by the Dead or Alive Technology department and turned into a frightening monster called Omega.", she started to say. The memory of the battle she had with him sprang up in her mind's eye, and it hurt very much. "He was going to kill me when I fought him. It was like he didn't know me at all. I defeated him. He died by my hands, but it hurt so much to do so. Yugi, was I wrong to do it?", she asked brokenly. Tears were starting to come forth, Ayane trying futilely to suppress them. Yugi was very much surprised to hear all this, but now I did not matter. He wiped away the tears of hers' slowly, gently with his thumb. He then looked at her in the eyes and said, "No, you did what had to be done.".

He then went on, "I'm sorry on what happened to him, truly I am. But, you had to do what needed to be done.". Ayane looked at him in the eyes and inquired quietly, "I know. Its just that, it hurts very much.". Yugi gently embraced the young woman as he said, "I know it is. If its any comfort to you, I would say he would have been proud to see that his daughter has grown to be a very beautiful and courageous woman.". Ayane was slightly surprised to hear that from the one she had a major crush on. She didn't break away from his embrace and asked hopefully, "You really think so?". He smiled warmly at her and responded, "I know so. For you to have let him have peace and also move on, it shows a tremendous amount of strength and courage. Its very admirable.". She also smiled, a rare one of warmth and gratefulness. "Thank you, Yugi.", she whispered while she hugged him tight. She leaned towards him slowly, ready to deliver a small sweet kiss on the lips. Yugi was very nervous on where this was going on. Before Ayane could kiss him, a knock was heard. Ayane groaned softly in annoyance, but Yugi was somehow relieved. He gently broke the embrace and said, "Sorry. Hold on, for a second.". He answered the door, and was slightly glad to see Kasumi, Lei Fang, and Hitomi. "Oh, hello everyone.", he said. The girls wore warm and cheerful smiles, but when they were let in and saw Ayane in only a bathrobe, the smiles left at the speed of light. "What do you girls want?", Ayane asked coldly. Yugi was surprised to hear the sudden change in Ayane's voice. Kasumi looked at Ayane mockingly sweet and requested that she join them and the rest for a small breakfast downstairs. Yugi asked if he could come, but Lei Fang said it was a little girl-get together. "Sorry, Yugi. I hope you understand.", Hitomi said. He smiled and nodded his head. "I do. I'll just get some room service up here.", he replied. The three thanked him for understanding, then motioned Ayane to come with them. She was reluctant, but she left as well. Before going out the door, she thanked Yugi for the kind and comforting words. She gave him a quick peck on the cheek, and then left the scene. Yugi was now wondering if this was a dream, because he thought nothing like this could ever happen in real life!

Outside the hallway, Kasumi and the others were waiting for Ayane outside their door. They had been really upset at seeing her in merely a robe and wondering on why she was in with Yugi at such an early hour. 'Sister, you better not be trying to seduce innocent Yugi!', Kasumi thought towards her half-sister's room. In ten minutes, Ayane exited her room, wearing a purple t-shirt with dark blue jean shorts. "Now, let's see on what is really going on here.", she stated coolly while walking towards the elevator door. When it opened, they all slowly piled in, very much quiet. Lei Fang pushed the button for the lobby, and they were soon going down. As they descended, Ayane glared at all of them, leaning against one of the sides of the small shaft. "Now, what is it that you really want?", she demanded. Hitomi glared right back as she answered, "Kasumi, Lei Fang, and myself want to discuss on what we should do about Yugi.". Kasumi added, "That is right. We all acknowledge that we love him very much, but we don't want to put him in a difficult position in choosing just one of us.". Ayane saw that she was right; Yugi cared a lot about everyone, and forcing him to choose one of them would be very hard on him. It was surprising she didn't see that earlier. Lei Fang said, "So, we decided to hold a little tournament to decide on who should have first chances with the little angel.". Ayane snorted and replied, "So, more volleyball matches now?". Kasumi shook her head solemnly and stated, "No, dear sister. A real tournament, a fighting one.". Lei Fang stated, "It will start and finish at the Zack's Private Beach. We are going to discuss on who faces whom.". Ayane shrugged her shoulders and commented, "Fine with me.". Hitomi then warned them, "But, we can't let Yugi find out about this. If he does, he would be very hurt and think that we only see him as a mere trophy.". But, they did not see as that. Yugi was a man very rare and wonderful, and this felt like this was the only way to settle this. They all wanted this, this fight to happen. Yugi's heart was the ultimate prize in this, and they were going to go all out to claim it! "We are going to discuss on when to throw the tournament, not starting it right now.", Kasumi told them all. They agreed to this statement.

~Outside at 10:00 a.m.~

The four ladies were now with their companions and Yugi, walking along the sidewalks of the island. The others had woken up some time ago, and had breakfast with Yugi in his room. He told them on what happened, and were pretty much puzzled on why the others didn't want Yugi to come with them. Downstairs in the lobby, the four ladies had agreed to hold the tournament tomorrow and to have the others keep Yugi busy and away from the action. As they walked along the black pavement, Lei Fang spotted that the Zack Of All Trades shop was open. They were selling all kinds of things, including skates. 'Well, it seems like a good day for skating.', she mused. She then broke away from the group and told them, "I'm going to the shop to buy some skates. See you guys later!". She only had gotten five steps when she heard Yugi call out to her. She turned around and he asked if he could come. "I like to skate with you too, if its alright I mean.", he told her. She smiled and said it was, and that he was going to have some fun! Hitomi joined them and the two sprinted off towards the shop. Tina chuckled and said, "Heh, acting just like kids at a candy store.". Kasumi and Ayane saw this as an opportune moment to inform the ladies of their plans. "Uh, everyone. There is something we need to tell you about. It concerns Yugi.", Kasumi told them. That got their attention good, for the older ladies cared very much about the young man. Ayane and her half-sister then started to tell everyone about their plans, the tournament, everything.

Meanwhile, Yugi and his two girl friends were browsing around the small shack-hut. Soon, they found three pairs of skates that were identical and also the right size. They also found knee and elbow pads, just to be safe. The price was 26,000 yen, but Yugi paid for them. It completely left his wallet empty, but he didn't care. The three went back over the wooden bridge that led to the shop and back onto dry land. Sitting down on some benches, the trio started to take off their shoes/sandals and tried on the skates that had just purchased. It fit them just about right, and the three soon took off! Yugi was enjoying skating besides his two carefree, beautiful girl friends. However, he did turn red when he glanced at them frequently. Lei Fang was wearing a bright orange swimsuit top, showing a very ample amount of cleavage and bust. She wore bright blue jean shorts, which complimented her figure well. Her hair was in her two famous braids. The sun shone on her, and she seemed to glow in radiant beauty from her newly acquired light golden tan. Hitomi was wearing a small red tank top and bright blue jean shorts. Her soft light, shoulder-length hair was flowing around freely. She too acquired a light tan as well. They were fun goddesses to the young man, who was skating between the two. The three had fun, going nearly everywhere on the island and enjoying the sun and company. Suddenly, Yugi felt a slight tremor on the ground as they skated towards the volcano. 'Hmmm. I wonder if…', Yugi thought as he stopped and stared at the volcano. He thought he felt a tremor coming from it, but then dismissed it as his imagination. 'Still, I still wonder if its active.', he thought. He soon saw that Lei Fang and Hitomi were urging Yugi to try and catch up to them, playfully. He grinned and shouted back, "Ready or not, here I come!". The light-hearted man then streaked towards the two ladies, who saw fit to start a little race.

The music from the Radio Station kicked in, and a very upbeat song kicked in. Yugi then got a very cool idea. He looked at the two ladies and said playfully, "Hey, girls! Grab an arm, and then throw me high in the air!". They were surprised by the request, but then saw the playfulness and energetic energy in Yugi's violet eyes. They semi-smiled as they took an arm, and then prepared to toss him high. "You ready, sweetie?", Lei Fang asked. He grinned and nodded his head energetically. "Okay, then! Here you go!!", Hitomi exclaimed as they suddenly heaved the small young man in the air. Surprisingly, he did a full front flip while airborne and doing some impressive twists. The ladies slowed down their skating to see the man do some acrobatic skill. "Whoa!!", they all exclaimed before Yugi landed. He twisted around to face them, the grin plastered on his face. Lei Fang and Hitomi then skated towards the man and exclaimed, "You know how to do that?!". Yugi grin turned a bit sheepish as he replied, "Sort of. When you have a small body like mine, its easy to maneuver when airborne.". The two ladies chuckled at the ever-surprising Yugi Moto, then continued onward enjoying the time and fun. On Niki Beach, Kasumi and Ayane were once again going over with the two ladies on what needed to be done. "We understand. We'll do what we can to make sure Yugi does not find out.", Lisa promised. Christie added, "But, we hope that you four totally agree on this. The loser of this tournament of yours has to vow that she will never try to make passes at Yugi.". Kasumi and Ayane nodded seriously, knowing full well the risks of this small tournament they were soon going to hold.

~Back in Zack's suite~

Zack and Niki had just returned from the lobby, very much happy and content. Niki was somewhat relived that Zack was back to his old, fun self. She had been worried about him for some time, because he seemed too tense and stressed out. "Baby, how about you make yourself comfortable on the sofa? I need to make some calls and change, then join you soon.", the multimillionaire suggested to his sweetheart. She smiled at him, kissed him on the cheek, and walked seductively to the large plush sofa. "Just be quick about it, baby.", she purred as she slowly sat down on the sofa. Zack grinned, knowing he was going to be well off today and tonight! He left the living room and went into his own room to change. As soon as he closed and locked the door, he hurried to the phone and dialed some numbers. After a few rings, a voice on the other line answered, "Hello?". Zack whispered, "What time are they supposed to arrive at?". The man on the other line answered, "About 7:00 a.m. tomorrow, sir. Right on schedule.". Zack chuckled slightly and replied, "Thanks man. Let me know as soon as the boat appears. Zack out.". Zack hung up, then started to change. 'Man, now Yugi is going to get it now! Jann Lee, Bass, Hayate, Bayman, Hayabusa, and myself are soon going to kick that little punk's butt to hell and back!', he thought. His full plan was slowly coming together, but now… he had more intimate things to concentrate on.

~In the middle of the Pacific Ocean~

Yami and the others were still riding the waves, all of them a bit queasy because of the rocking and rolling of the boat. Mai and Tea hurled twice during the trip, but the boys minus Duke hurled many more times then that. Duke snickered at the sight of "all-powerful" Yami now green in the face and half of his body over the boat. "Duke, how much longer?!", Yami demanded before puking. Duke checked the map, did some math calculations, and replied, "With this wind speeding us up, I say two days or three days!". Yami knew he could not take much more, so he used some of his Shadow magic to speed up the boat! They were now skimming over the waves at break-neck speed! "Or, tomorrow morning.", the Dice Dungeon master muttered. As they seemingly skipped along the water, Yami was really looking forward to punishing Yugi for leaving all of them. 'I really wonder on why Solomon was against bringing Yugi back home?', he thought. He quickly dismissed the thought, as his stomach rumbled. Managing to make it down to the small quarters below, he went to make himself a small sandwich. It was about the only thing he could make, a master chef he was not.

Above in the air, slightly behind the boat, was Seto and his crew. Cas inquired, "Can a boat that small go that fast?". Seto shook his head and replied, "No, it can't. Yami used some of his magic to make the boat go faster. At this rate, they'll be in the island by tomorrow!". Laga came forth from Cas's watch and exclaimed, "Well, what are waiting for?! Let's beat them to it!". Peorth appeared from Seto's watch and added, "I agree. Listen, Seto. I just recived word that Zack has made a call from the island to Domino Harbor.". Seto inquired, "What does this mean, Peorth?". Laga finished it, "I tapped into the call, and it seems that the others he has invited are going to be over there… by tomorrow morning.". Cas whispered fearfully, "I have a bad feeling here, and I think we better hurry now!". Agreeing with the two cyber-cuties and his maid, the billionaire pushed forward and the helicopter zoomed towards Zack's Island! Cas thought, 'For some reason, I have a feeling Peorth is right. I feel… that something bad is going to happen soon. Worst of all… Yugi is in the middle of it.'. She prayed and hoped to God that she would be able to arrive in time and help Yugi through the hellish storm that was going to befall him soon. Seto, Peorth, and Laga felt the same way. Each knew that serious hell was going to be raised, and Yugi would need their help big time. 'Don't worry, Yugi! We're on our way!', they all thought as they flew fast towards the island of paradise.
