Yugi- Dead or Alive Volleyball Player?!

(Author's Notes: Sorry for delay, but first tests are coming up here at UTSA on 1604. So, I have to study for a while to make sure I pass. Wish me luck!

Yugi: In the meantime, DJ will try to update as soon as he can. Yugi- Spirit Blacksmith?! will not be forgotten, but DJ needs to finish this and Yugi- Street Fighter! first. So, don't worry.

Chapter 14

It was about 1:45 p.m. on Zack Island. A tired, but happy Yugi Moto was sprawled out on the soft grass at the edge of the jungle. On his left, equally tired and happy was the lovely Hitomi. She too was sprawled out on the soft emerald grass, a few feet from her crush. On his right was Lei Fang, also exhausted from the fun they had been having. From roller-blading to frolicking in the cool, clear waters at the beach. The three were having a blast, not a care in the world. Yugi sighed out happily, soon crossing his arms over his head and staring up at the peaceful, clear blue sky. 'This doesn't get any better then this.', he thought. A moment later, he felt soft and warm hands gently lifting up his head. His eyes gazed upward, and he blushed a bright red. Lei Fang was positioning herself above her secret crush, getting into an upright position and slowly pacing Yugi's head in her lap. He was about to say something, but the beauty sensed his nervousness and smiled down at him. She placed a slender finger to his lips, motioning for him not to say a word. She whispered, "Its okay, Yugi. I don't mind this at all.". Yugi had no problem with this arrangement at all. It was just… well, his head was now right below her breasts, which were now dangling over him like Christmas ornaments. He didn't want to leer at her, thinking it would offend her, but this was a very compromising position he was now in. With his head secure in her lap, the Chinese fighter/beauty stroked his hair slowly and gently. 'Wow! It's so soft and pliable. Its like touching pure silk!', she thought as she continued to stroke Yugi's hair. Hitomi joined them, laying her head on Yugi's chest. To hear his heartbeat was soothing and calming to her, slowly lulling her into a secure slumber.

Nearby, two female ninjas were viewing the quaint scene before them. They were Kasumi and Ayane. Now, Ayane was feeling very jealous at the scene before her. But, Kasumi felt differently. Recently, she had heard all that she needed to hear from the other ladies concerning Yugi. She was surprised to hear on what Yugi told them, and also what they felt towards the young man. 'He is a remarkable man, if he was able to open them up like that.', she thought. Gazing back to the man, she then noticed on how truly handsome and beautiful he was. His tri-colored hair that framed his face flawlessly, his nicely toned chest and slender arms, his violet eyes so beautiful its like you are drowning in them, and his face that was both kawaii and nearly perfect. 'His inner self is as wonderful and beautiful as his outer self.', she mused. It was true, at least to her. "He will be a wonderful boyfriend to me.", she whispered to herself. Ayane turned and faced her half-sister. She got her attention and told her, "Just remember. Not a word of this little tournament of ours to Yugi, understand? I don't want him to think that we merely view him as an object or prize.". Kasumi nodded as she replied, "I know that, Ayane. I understand everything. Besides… I would never want him to think I see him as some sort object.". With their plans underway, the two left to do some last-minute training.

~Three hours later~

A gentle breeze came in, caressing the trio (Yugi, Lei Fang, and Hitomi) as the slept lightly on the lush grass. Lei Fang still toyed with Yugi's hair slightly, still marveled on how soft and silky it was. Yugi moaned slightly, stirring from his slumber because of the stroking. He looked up, and was relived to see that he was staring into Lei Fang's eyes and not her breasts. "Hi.", he whispered, careful not to arouse the sleeping beauty known as Hitomi. She replied, "Hi. Nice to see you awake.". He smiled at her, and she returned the gesture. Checking her watch on her wrist, she saw that it was 4:45 p.m. "We've been here for quite awhile.", she told the young man. Yugi grinned and replied, "I know. Its just that… its so peaceful here, and its very rare when you get this kind of peace.". He should know. He battled Rare Hunters, Eliminators, Pegasus, Bakura, Marik, and a whole lot of enemies. To him, this kind of peace and quite was all too rare. Lei Fang chuckled as she stopped stroking Yugi's hair. She then asked him, "Yugi?". He looked at her and inquired, "Yes?". She took a deep breath, then asked, "Do you want to know more about me?". Yugi was slightly surprised to hear such a request from the woman above him. He hid the shock carefully and said that he would love to hear more about her.

She then told Yugi on why she had competed in the DOA tournament in the first place. It was because of a cocky fighter named Jann Lee, who saved her once some time ago. "A gang of thugs attacked me one night some time ago, and I was prepared to defend myself against them.", she started to say. Yugi had no doubt in his mind that Lei Fang could defend herself very well. "Before the fight could commence, Jann Lee stepped in and defeated all of them. Don't get me wrong about this, I thought it was sweet that he did that. But, at the same time… I was ticked off because he saw me as a weak female, and not as a fighter.", she continued. Yugi was surprised at this. He read some of the DOA files that he checked out some time ago, and that Lei Fang was considered a fighting genius among many. To hear that someone like Jann Lee would do something like that was somewhat weird. "I'm sure he had good intentions for doing it.", he told her. Lei Fang replied, "I know. But, I wanted to prove to him and everyone else on my skills and strength. So, that was the reason I entered the DOA tournament for the first time.". She then told on how Jann Lee defeated her in the last three tournaments, but she was still determined to keep on trying to defeat him. "I just… want to prove to him that I can handle myself.", she finished. She felt somewhat ashamed to admit that Jann Lee had defeated her three times in a row. Yugi smiled, and slowly encompassed his hand with hers. "Its okay, Lei Fang.", he started to say. He continued, "I have no doubt in my mind that you can take care of yourself, and that your skills are top class. It might not mean much to you, but you a great fighter in my eyes. You have my respect.".

Little did he know this, but that meant a lot to the young woman. Yugi finished up, "It doesn't matter if Jann did beat you three times. As long as you keep getting up and continuing to try and succeed, that matters a whole lot more. Its very admirable.". Lei Fang giggled at hearing all of this, the young man's words cheering her up greatly. She kissed his forehead, and then whispered, "Thank you, Yugi. That means a whole lot to me.". He grinned and said it was no problem. Just then, Hitomi stirred. Little did they realize it, but she had been awake this whole time and had heard everything. She yawned slightly, then turned her gaze to the wonderful man named Yugi. "Hi, Yugi.", she whispered. He chuckled as he replied, "Hi.". He started to slowly stroke her hair, and the feeling was very gratifying for the karate beauty. Lei Fang swore she heard a purr from the throat of Hitomi, and tried so much to fight the urge to throttle her now. "Well, we better get going now. I bet the others are worried about us.", the Chinese fighter said softly. Yugi agreed with her, first letting Hitomi rise first off of his chest. She groaned at this, but kept it to herself. Yugi rose after her, then offered his hand to Lei Fang. The woman gladly accepted the gesture, and the young man pulled her to her feet. "Thanks for the words, Yugi.", she told him. He grinned and replied, "Its no problem. Besides, it was the truth. What else could I say?". Lei Fang and Hitomi knew that Yugi was going to be the most wonderful boyfriend to them.

~In Zack's suite~

Zack and his girlfriend Niki were watching a romantic movie, the lights dimmed low and the curtains drawn tight together. The two cuddled together, Niki enjoying the movie and the company very much. They had played at the beach earlier, explored the jungle, and also went down to the Sports Shop. Luckily for Zack, the girls were never in the same area they were in and Niki never saw them either. Zack was enjoying the movie, but he was also enjoying something else. It was the thought of seeing Yugi lying on the ground, beaten nearly to death and his blood soaking the ground. Him, smirking over the young man with his other associates. Niki, who snuggled closer to her beau, snapped him out of his train of thought. "Thanks for bringing me here, Zack. Its like paradise out here.", she told her man. Zack chuckled and replied, "Hey, no problem baby. Only the best for my girl.". He thought, 'It would have been better, if I had all of the DOA ladies with me right now! Drat that Yugi brat!'. He had to make sure that this operation of his would go by quickly and swiftly, so Niki would not have to see the carnage.

~Back in the Pacific Ocean~

Seto and the four ladies with him (Serenity, Cas, Laga, and Peorth) were still keeping an eye on Yami and the gang. Because of Yami's magic, Seto had to put the copter into overdrive just to keep up. Laga informed them, "At the rate we are going, we might be out of fuel by the time we reach the island.". Peorth added, "That is correct. Seto, we must go back to normal speed before it is too late.". Cas shook her head and replied, "No! We keep going! I don't want to even imagine on what will happen to Yugi if we arrive there too late.". She shuddered slightly, the image of a broken, bleeding Yugi nearly entering her mind. Serenity responded, "I agree with Cas. We may run out of fuel when we get there, but its better that then coming in to the rescue too late. Besides, maybe we can find a way to refuel the copter on the island.". Seeing that the suggestions held some logical reason, the two cyber-cuties agreed with the duo's plan. "How long until we reach the island, Peorth?", Seto requested. Peorth re-calculated the time, speed, and distance of their new situation. After a few minutes of calculating, she responded, "With the remaining fuel we have and the current speed we are at, I estimate by tomorrow morning at 8:30 a.m.". That was good as they were going to get, so the three humans made no complaints. Steadying the copter due to some winds, Seto tried ever so much to keep up with Yami's magic.

(Author's Notes: Next chapter, Kasumi and Yugi will spend a very special night with each other! Yugi will then try to sort out his feelings for each girl. He still does not know about the tournament, but he will get a surprise when he sees someone else on the island.

Yugi: Why do I have to suffer?

Darien: If you didn't suffer, there would be no point to this story. Just hang in there, Yugi. You'll be fine.
