The quest for the jewel is almost over. Only Naraku and Koga are left with jewel shards. As Kagome goes back to her time to gather a few more supplies, Koga manages to travel to the present time with Kagome. Before Inuyasha or Kagome could react, the well in the future explodes. With Inuyasha trapped in the feudal area and Kagome stuck in the present with Koga, the future looks bleak.

Both Kagome and Koga walked to the rubble that had been the well house. The smell of burning wood filled the garden. Kagome fell to her hands and knees, "Inuyasha!"

Koga for his part was half-pleased and half-annoyed. He now had Kagome to himself with out that mutt barging in, but he was cut off from his pack. He sniffed the air and winced a little at the air, 'Damn the air around here has a strange smell. Maybe jumping into the well was a stupid idea after all.' He knelt down next to his Kagome, "Hey stop crying! You're alive at least."

Kagome wiped away her tears, "But I'll never see my friends again! I'll never see. . . ."

Koga sighed, "Inuyasha!"

Kagome nodded, but then turned her head to see behind them. Two men in brown trench coats and large hats had walked into the garden. Kagome looked to the sky; it was a bright sunny day with only a few white clouds. She was puzzled because she sensed jewel shards. The two men stopped as Kagome and Koga stood up to face them. One was at least seven feet tall and about the same length wide. The other was about Koga's height and weight. Kagome glanced at the rubble of the well and then to them, "Did you do this?"

The skinnier one stepped forward, "Are you Kagome?" His voice was slightly high pitched.

Koga leapt forward and stood face to face with the man, who had asked the question, "Who are you to bother my woman?"

The skinny one jumped back to stand next to his companion, "You are Koga the wolf demon! You carry two jewel shards. Our master will be happy to obtain them."

Kagome and Koga find themselves hunted by demons from the present and old enemies turning out to be allies.

Sesshoumaru helped Kagome to sit down, "I'm sorry that I didn't get there in time to stop those demons."

Kagome smiled, "At least you manage to keep them from killing Koga!"

The demon seemed annoyed with the mention of the wolf, "I don't care about that wolf, but right now I need all the allies I can muster."

"Who are you fighting?"

"Naraku!"

Kagome stared horrified at the gravestones deep in the forest, "Sango, Miroku, Inuyasha!"

The trio of demons shoved Kagome to the large black stone desk. The large red chair at the other end spun around, "Kagome! It is so good to see you again after all this time!"

"You!"
