Author's note: Hi everyone! It's me, Iv finely made a fanfic! Those might know me as Hikari Girl, but I kind of made a mistake, so I put a 4 at the end. (It's my lucky number) Anyway, this is my first fic, so tell me if I'm doing something wrong, ok? Well I hope you enjoy. Please review. ^_^

Well now, on with the story!

-Light Within Darkness-

 

~ Chapter 1 ~

 

Yugi slowly opened his eyes to the smell of fresh are. He got up and stretched, before walking out of the building he was currently sleeping in. He gazed out into the horizon to be just in time to see the sun come up. `Well, another day of training' he thought. Yugi was in a servant training facility, where they taught people how to be good servants. They would get up at the crack of dawn and train all day till the sun went down. Yugi watched as trainees slowly stepped out of their building's, still whipping sleep from their eye's. `Well, time for role call' Yugi then froze on the spot. `Oh no, the other's are still asleep!'

 

Yugi ran back inside where his friend's, and room mate's wheir still sleeping soundly. He waved his arms up and down, jumping but they didn't move. `Man, this is one of those times where I wish I could talk' After Yugi had to literally role Joey off the bed, he woke up yelling “Gees Yug, cant a guy get some sleep around here?” Yugi was now flapping his arms like a chicken. Joey immediately knew what Yugi was saying. “Hey you guys, it's time for role call! Wake up!

 

Ryou slowly opened his eye's “Oh no, we over slept!” He then looked at Malik to see him still asleep. “Malik, wake up!”

 

“Huh… what time is it?” Malik got up robbing his eyes.

 

“It's time for role call, we need to get gong now.”

 

Everyone ran outside and got in line just in time for the Head Master to call role. “Man, just in time.” Malik said wile-whipping swet away.

 

“Yah, no thanks to you.” Ryou said while giving Malik the deth stare.

 

“Well you weren't the biggest help in the world either”

 

“Well at least I wasn't the last to get up!”

 

“Hey guys stop fightin` would ya? We got here on time didn't we? So lets just cool it.”

 

“Ok Joey, your right I was still a little jittery.” Malik gave Joey an apologizing smile.

 

“Yah, sorry for making such a petty fight.”

 

Joey put his arms across his chest and smiled in accomplishment. Yugi smiled at that. `I wonder if I'll ever get to do that' Yugi's smile vanished as he realized how long it's been since he last talked. “Hey yug! You coming?” The other's where all ready a couple feet away. Yugi gave a nod to Joey then ran to catch up with the others. Yugi may get sad about not being able to talk, but his friend's always where there to cheer him up. They then began their routine chores and training.

~ (At Yamis' Palles) ~

 

Yami was sitting in his chair, trying to stay awake, as the daily informer's kept talking about the problems of the kingdom. “Also there is one last subject that is needed to discuss.”

 

“What is it? Just get it over with.” Yami said wile rubbing his temples.

 

“Well, the cost of servant's has tripled over night.” The informer said while flipping through some papers.

 

“What?!”

 

“Well, you see sire it seems that Anubus wants to get rich quick… even though he's already rich.

 

“I think that we should talk to Anubus.” Yami looked over to Bakura. Bakura is yami's royal accountant. He was also one of his best friend's, so he decided that he would try his suggestion.

 

“I think we should go personally.” Said Seth, the High Priest.

 

“I agree. They wont lye to us, but if we send an arend man I'm sure the will just tell him anything to get him to leave.” Said Marik while he stood up to show that he was ready to go immediately.

 

“Well, it's settled. We leve right now.”

(Back at the slave camp at night)

“Oh man I'm sore all over.” Joey then flopped down on his bed. “I think im going to dye.”

 

“Well at least you survived another day.” Ryou then began to brush out the tangles of his hare.

 

“Well you didn't have to do 500 pushups.” Malik flinched as he tried to put his but on the chair.

 

Yugi laphed silently as he remembered what had happened that day. Joey and Malik pulled a prank on Anubus by putting a scorpion on his chair. Anubus was stung, but it didn't poison him. He got so mad that when he yelled you could see a vane on his forehead.

 

“Well that guy was askin` for it”

 

“Well I must agree with you there.” A woman with beautiful silky hair, wearing sand colored dress walked in.

 

“Lady Seama!” Everyone said as they ran to give her a hug. She was Anubuses wife. She cares for the others like they where her own kids.

 

“What are you doing here?” Asked the albino.

 

“I'm sorry to say but I didn't come to just say hi.” Seana began to admire the flour.

 

“What do you mean?” The egyption asked.

 

“I'm afraid that my husband wants you all to see him at the Main House… he… he says that y-you are b-being g-g-g-given away. Seana was now balling. She then dropped to her knees, covering her face with her hands.

 

Everyone gave each other a sad look and then all embraced Seana as they started to cry.

 

After everyone got themselves together they went to the Main House. When they got in they where told to stay in a small room, then shut the door.

 

Yami, Seth, Bakura, and Marik enterd the main sitting room and sat before Anubus.

 

“Ah, my pharaoh. What do I owe for this pleasant visit?”

 

“Anubus, what are you thinking. Tripling the cost for a slave in one day?” Yami gave him a stern look that showed that he wasn't in the mood for fooling around.

 

“My pharaoh, you must understand that to keep up with good filing and good training doesn't come cheep.”

 

“Your training can't be that expensive.”

 

“Oh but it is.” Anubus then turned his head and began to tap his chin. He than gave a long sye. “How about this, I lower the price and give you a sample?”

 

Yami was intrigue at how well he cooperated. At the cost of servant's is to great, even if the price is lowered, so he wouldn't be buying any time soon. So he accepted the offer.

 

“Wondrous! Here are the free slaves!” Anubus gestured twared the door as it swung open. What the pharaoh saw made him gap.

 

There stood what seemed to be a chilled, but he looked just like him. Well they're where some differences. He was a little smaller and he didn't have any streaks of blond sticking up in his hair. But what really cot his eye was that he had the most beautiful amines eyes he had ever seen. There also stood a double of Bakura and Marik. The only difference was that they had softer eyes and their hair didn't stick up as much. There also stood a man with golden yellow hair and honey brown eyes.

 

Anubus cleared his throat to get everyone's attention. “Yami, your servant will be Yugi. Bakura, your servant will be Ryou. Seth, your servant is Joey. And Marik your servant is Malik.” Anubus gave a satisfying look as he sow the exspretion's on the pharaohs' and other's faces.

 

Everyone got into the wagon and it began to go back to the kingdom. To yugi and the other's surprise, the wagon was covered with comphy pillows. It didn't mater to them they just wanted to go back to Seana.

 

Yugi turned around to look out the cut out window and sow Seana. His eyes widened as he sow her wave goodbye. Yugi waved back and let a tear drop. He was going to be strong for her. But what now?
