I don't own Yu-Gi-Oh. I also know a little about Ancient Egypt, but not really anything that helped me much in writing this. I really want someone to review this story it will go bye-bye within a week, just like my other attempts in this catagory.
Bakura: You can't help it if you suck in this catagory.
Can it.

A hacking cough racked the body of a young 11 year old girl. A white-haired boy was beside her in an instant.
Bakura tried his best to sooth the coughing of his younger sister. She had been sick for nearly a year now, and it was taking it's toll on her. They had no money, their father spent it all. The healer refused to help until he recieved payment. However, according to him, she would die within a month without proper treatment. Bakura couldn't stand it much longer. There was only one thing left he could do to save his sister, yet he didn't know if his pride would allow it.
Bakura froze when he heard footsteps. 'Shit' he thought. Their father, Takada, walked through the creaky old gate.
Takada walked over to where the 11 and 16 year olds were. He grabbed the hand of the your girl, and began to drag her toward the house.
Bakura lept up. "Ab no! Please don't hurt Ren, she's sick enough Ab, please! I will take her place, please, please Ab!" begged the boy.
Takada smirked. "You can't please me tonight boy, only a girl can serve this purpose."
Chocolate brown eyes (That is Bakura's color right?) widened in horror. "Ab please, I'll do anything. Please Ab, don't harm her tonight. I beg of you." Bakura was pleading for his sister's safety. Her innocence was her very essence. No matter what, she would not lose it.
Takada smiled a sinister smile. "Very well boy, I guess I could live with using you the first time." he dropped Serenity, (No, not Joey's sister Serenity) who began coughing to hard to say anything. He then seized Bakura's arm, and led him inside the hourse, where the children were forbidden to go unless they were taken inside.
Bakura's screams echoed throughout the night.

In the morning Takada left early, as usual, saying he had things to do and wouldn't be back for a week at least.
Bakura, aching with a terrible pain between his legs, nearly crawled out of the house. Young Serenity lay on the ground where Takada had dropped her, coughing. Bakura knelt beside her, and lifted her up to rub her back and try to sooth her coughs.
"Kura, you shouldn't have done that. I will die soon, you are healthy, let the weak take the punishments so the strong may live." she said weakly, before breaking out into coughs again.
"Nonsense Ren, let's have none of that. I'm getting you help today, and that is that." stated Bakura.
"Help?"
"Yes, I'm taking you to the palace. I don't like that idiot Pharoah, but for you I will swallow my pride. Come now, there is nothing left to eat, so we might as well get a move on." whispered Bakura.
"But Kura, the palace is so far away, and I'm so weak..." Serenity's voice trailed off as she coughed again.
"Don't even go there. We're leaving and that's that." stated Bakura. He stood, ignoring the pain, and picked Serenity up. She was small for her age, and scarcly 50 pounds, if that. Hugging the girl tightly, Bakura headed out the gate. Then didn't bring anything, as they had nothing that was worth bringing.
People stared as they walked by. Bakura had a reputation for being a tough guy, cold and heartless. To see him holding a young girl so tenderly, soothing her, comforting her, was almost unatural. She was very sick, anyone could see, and it seemed Bakura was trying to help her.
Malik, a friend of Bakura's, saw him and came running over. "Bakura what are you doing?" he asked.
"I'm taking my sister to the palace, she'll die soon if I don't." said Bakura.
Malik nodded. He knew that Bakura cared about one thing, Serenity. She was his life, his reason to live, he would gladly give his life for her.
"I don't like the Pharoah, but I'll help you Bakura, Isis is pissed at me anyway." said Malik. They took turns carring the petite girl, while the other soothed her.
"Malik, how are you doing?" asked Serenity as they walked.
"I'm fine, it's you we're worried about." said Malki, as he examined the bruises that covered the girl's body.
"Ab beats her Malik, he very nearly raped her last night." said Bakura biterly.
"What stopped him?" asked Malik. Bakura didn't answer, and avoided his friend's eye.
Malik's eyes widened in shock as realization hit him. "Oh Ra, Bakura..." he said.
"Shut up Malik." said Bakura plainly.
Serenity began to cough again, and Bakura took the blond in his arms. This time though, no matter what they did, the coughing did not stop. Serenity brought a hand to her mouth, and when she pulled it away it was covered in blood. She coughed so hard she could barely breathe.
"Quickly Malik get some water." ordered Bakura.
Malik dashed to a nearby servant to explain their situation. She came over and knelt beside them, setting her water buckets down. Quickly pulling an earthen cup from her pocket, she filled it with water and put it up to the other girl's lips. Serenity drank, and her coughing subsided.
"Thank you." she whispered hoarsly.
The slave girl smiled. "No problem. By the way, my name's Shizuka." she said.
"Serenity."
"Malik."
"Bakura."
"G ood to meet you. May I ask where you're going?" said Shizuka.
"We're going to the palace. Serenity will die if we don't." said Bakura, looking down at the girl.
Shizuka's eyes widened. "Oh no! You don't want to go to the palace! The Pharoah will not help you! He is cold, cruel, and evil! He'll make Serenity his slave before he helps her!" she said.
Serenity's eyes widened in fear. "Kura, I don't want to go." she whimpered.
Bakura snorted. "Do you really think that Pharoah is going to lay eyes on you? I think not. And I pity the poor fool who even thinks about touching you." he said.
Shizuka sighed. "Well, if you really want to go, just keep following the Nile north, and you should reach a cavern within a few hours. Go through it, and you should reach the palace in about two days. The closer you stay to the Nile, the better." she said.
"Thank you, Shizuka. I never tried that path before." said Bakura.
"Yes, now come on, we have to get moving." said Malik.
"Will you do something for me?" asked Shizuka.
"Sure, what?"
"In the palace you should meet a healer named Jou. He's my brother. If you see him, tell him I sent you, and tell him I miss him." she said.
"Of course we will." said Serenity.
"Good, now here's something that will help you. It isn't much, but it should help." Shizuka pushed something into Malik's hands and slipped away before they could say a word.
*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^^*^*^**^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^ *^*^*^*^*^
"Ouch! That's my foot Malik!" snapped Bakura.
"Get your big feet out of the way then." responded Malik.
"I would kill you right now if I could see you." growled Bakura.
"Kura! Be nice!" chided Serenity, before breaking out in a fit of coughs.
Bakura tried his best to sooth her in the dark. Suddenly Malik's yelps of "Cold! Cold!" reached his ears.
"What's wrong with you Malik?" snapped Bakura.
"Cold water cold water, cold cold, COLD!" he yelped.
"Water?" Bakura moved toward the spot Malki had been, and sure enough, there was water there. He cupped some in his hands and brought it to his sister's lips. She drank. He gave her more water, and she drank it. She didn't refuse anything he offered her, nor would he let her.
Finally, when Bakura was satisfied she had drank enough, and Malik had stopped yelling, "COLD!" Bakura drank some water himself.
"Come on slow poke, let's get a move on." said Malik.
"Malik, hold your toung." said Bakura.
"Kura, do I have to punish you, young man?" asked Serenity with an arched eyebrow, though the boys couldn't see it.
"Do you want me to tickle you, little miss?" asked Bakura mockingly.
"You wouldn't dare."
"Oh no?" Bakura was about to tickle her, when Malik reminded them they had to get a move on.
"Oh fine..." mumbled Bakura, and they continued to pick their way through the cavern.
After several hours they began to get a bit tired. "Rest Kura, we can continue later." urged Serenity.
"No Ren, not until we get out of here." Bakura replied
A few minutes later Bakura heard heard Malik yell, "Light! Just up ahead, come on!" They ran out of the cavern, and into the desert. The Nile was beside them, and they could see a town in the distance. The two boys whooped, and, with renewed energy, ran toward the town while Serenity giggled like mad.
Ra was high in the sky now and they were getting hungry. They stopped once they were inside the village and sat down to see what it was. Bread. Picking up the tiny loaf, Bakura broke it into three pieces. He gave one to Malik, and began feeding Serenity hers.
"Stop it Kura, I'm not a baby." protested Serenity, and she ate the bread herself as if to prove her point. However, she could barely keep it down. She had barely finished, when suddenly she threw up her entire meal.
"Great! Just great! Serenity, you need your strength. How do you expect to get it if you can't keep anything down! Honestly!" scolded Bakura.
"I'm sorry Kura." said Serenity sadly, putting on her best bambi eyes.
"Oh, alright, it wasn't your fault Ren, just, don't look at me like that."
"Like what?"
"You know perfectly well what."
"I do?"
"Yes, stop it with the puppy eyes."
"What puppy eyes?"
"Ren."
"What?"
"I'm warning you.."
"Warning me about what?"
"You know perfectly well what."
"I do?"
"Those eyes, stop looking at me with them."
"Where else am I supposed to look? Malik's handsom face?"
"Ren..."
"What?" said Serenity innocently, moving so she was almost in Malik's lap.
"Ren, stop it."
"Stop what?" she asked, putting her arms around Malik's neck. "You know Kura, your friend is very cute."
"Serenity are you trying to get me killed?!" exclaimed Malik.
"Malik will you carry me now?" asked Serenity.
"He will not!" said Bakura, scooping up Serenity's petite form and walking off, Malik behind him.
They had come to the market place now, and were recieving some very weird looks. Bakura glared at anybody who staring at Serenity, who had buried her face in his neck, for she never did like being stared at.
"This is getting really annoying Bakura. I'd really like to these people to stop staring, I don't like it and I don't think Serenity does either." said Malik uneasily.
"These people have good reason to be staring." came a cold voice from behind them.
They trio turned, to see the High Priest Seto standing behind them.
'Fuck! Fuck! Fuck! Fuck!' thought Bakura.
'Shit! What the hell is HE doing here?' wondered Malik.
'I don't like him. His aura feels like ice.' thought Serenity.
