Chapter 3
I Don’t own yugioh.
After watching the duel between Hector and Steven, Dylan went looking for his opponent more. In a few moments, he bumped into a tall man dressed in dark clothing. He looked at Dylan and said, “Hello there, you must Dylan. I’m Shadow, your opponent for this round, let’s skip the small talk and get right to dueling.” Dylan simply nodded.
Dylan: 4000
Shadow: 4000
Both players launched their duel disks and drew 5 cards. “I’ll go first” said Shadow. Shadow drew his sixth card while looking at it smirking. “I’ll activate Ingenious Welfare. This card sets both our life points at 8000. But that’s not all, every time I end my turn, this card inflicts 500 points of damage to both of our life points. Now, to continue, I’ll set a monster in defense mode and play one card face down, your move, and now you can check out the Ingenious Welfare.”
Both players watched as their life points decreased.
Dylan: 7500
Shadow: 7500
“Now it’s my turn Shadow!” Dylan drew his card. “I summon Goblin Trainer Athena (1200/1500) in attack mode! And I’ll lay one card face down. Next, I’ll have my Goblin Trainer attack your face down card”
The small female goblin rushed toward the face down card swinging her sword at it as it shattered Once it shattered a long insect monster wrapped around the goblin.
“Haha, you attacked my Parasite Leech (500/800) When it’s destroyed, it equips to your monster and every time you end you lose 500 life points, and to make it worse, I’ll activate Duplicate, doubling my Parasites, which doubles the damage you take each time you end! So I guess you end, huh?” Dylan nodded.
Dylan: 6500
Shadow: 7500
“Hmmm, I could destroy your Goblin Trainer, but why do that when I can see you suffer? I’ll summon Mataza The Zapper (1300/800) in attack mode and lay one card face down, that does it for me.”
Dylan: 6000
Shadow: 7000
Since my Goblin Trainer lowers all goblins in my hand by one level, I’ll summon a level 5 monster without a tribute now. Go Goblin Task Force! (1800/0) This group of Goblins can destroy 2 cards when summoned to the field. Now.. Destroy Mataza The Zapper and one of the Parasite Leeches!” Both players watched as the group of Goblins threw bombs at the selected cards, shattering them into many pieces.”Now Goblin Trainer, Goblin Task Force, attack directly now! I’ll end my turn after that”
Dylan: 5500
Shadow: 4000
“Alright, I’ll draw.” Shadow swiped a card off his deck. “I’ll activate Pot of Greed to draw 2 cards. Next, I’ll reveal my face down card Poison of the Old Man to gain 1200 life points and then activate Tremendous Fire to inflict 1000 damage to you, and 500 to me. And fianlly, I summon Gear Golem the Moving Fortress (800/2200) in defense mode try getting through that defense.”
Dylan: 3500
Shadow: 4200
“I may not be able to get through your defense yet.. But I’ll lay a card face down to end my turn.”
Dylan: 3000
Shadow: 4200
“Time to give you some real pain now. I activate Meteor of Destruction! This will do 1000 damage to your life points. That’s all for now.”
Dylan: 1500
Shadow: 3700
“I think I’ll end this duel now. I just drew my rarest card. Observe. I tribute my Goblin Trainer for my Alucard the Goblin General (2800/2300) Since it’s was a level 6 monster in my hand, I can summon it with only one tribute. And when he’s summoned to the field, all other cards go, except for ones with Goblin in their name! Now Goblin Task Force and my Goblin General, attack Shadow to wipe him out!”
Shadow stared blankly as a massive army of Goblins came charging towards him hurling him into a wall.
“Good job kid, you beat me” Shadow said weakly. Dylan offered to help Shadow up, but Shadow refused and told Dylan to go search for his next opponent. Dylan did so and began catching glimpses of some more duels.
“Well, that took some energy out of me.” Dylan said quietly as he looked for his next opponent.
