Chapter 4
Dylan had just finished his long and tiring duel with Shadow, when he finally decided to sit down He grabbed a soda up at a nearby concession stand and began sipping on it.
In a few short moments, his eye caught onto a nearby duel that was just about to start. Dylan glanced over and listened in on their talking. One kid looked to be about 4'8 with dark, short hair. The other person, though, was a tall man, about 6'2, dressed in heavy looking armor. Dylan overheard the short boy saying his name was Richard. The man dressed in armor nodded and said his name was Alucard
“Are you ready to duel?” said Richard with confidence. “Sure kid, I’ll even let you go first” replied Alucard.
Both players launched their duel disks. Richard drew 6 cards, Alucard drew 5.
“I’ll start things off by playing Pot of Greed!” Richard snapped 2 cards off his deck and put them into his hand. “Next, I’ll summon Versago the Destroyer (1100/800) in attack mode and lay 2 cards face down! Your move Alucard.” Richard said with a grin.
Alucard swiped a card off his duel disk and added it to his hand. “Alright, if that’s how you wanna play, fine with me. I’ll summon Stone Statue of the Aztecs (500/2000) in defense mode. I’ll lay a card face down to end my turn. Your turn little boy.”
“I’m not little!” shouted Richard as he drew a card. “But anyways, I activate my Fusion Sage card! It lets me get a Polymerization from my deck and add it to my hand!” Richard quickly added a card to his hand. “Next, I’ll activate my Wealthy Fusion card! It lets me draw 2 cards every time I perform a fusion. So I’ll use Polymerization to fuse Versago the Destroyer and my Gazelle King of Mythical Beasts together to form Chimera the Flying Mythical Beast! (2100/1700) Now I draw 2 cards from my Wealthy Fusion and I’m far from done.” Richard smirked as he drew 2 cards. “My other face down card is next. It’s known as Fusion Retrieval. Every time my Polymerization goes to the graveyard, I get it back.” Richard let out a high pitched laugh. “Now my Chimera! Attack his Stone Statue!”
“Heh, I thought you’d fall for that. Activate face down! The Reliable Guardian! This boosts my Statue’s defense up to 2700 meaning you’d normally take 600 damage, but because of my Statue’s ability to double the damage it does to you, you take 1,200 points of damage!”
Alucard: 4000
Richard: 2800
“Grrrrr. Fine then, I’ll activate Mystical Healing! I discard a monster and gain 500 life points for each star! Since I discarded my Gemini Elf, I gain 2000 life points! Your move Alucard.”
Alucard: 4000
Richard: 4800
“I thought you’d never end.” Alucard drew from his deck. “Now I summon Gear Golem the Moving Fortress (800/2200) I’ll also lay a card face down to end my turn.”
“Stop defending and play like a real man!” Screamed Richard as he drew. “I summon Sangan (100/600) in defense mode. Now let’s try this again. Chimera! Attack his Stone Statue!”
“Fall for it every time. Activate Defensive Matrix! I’ll just tell you what it’s doing now . First, your Chimera. It’s defense is getting subtracted from it’s attack. Now, My Statue’s attack is getting subtracted from it’s defense. So your 400 attack monster is attacking into a 1500 defense monster. Say goodbye to 2200 of your life points!”
Alucard: 4000
Richard: 2600
Richard flew back and growled. “I end my turn...”
“Goody, my turn now. I’ll start by activating Chorus of Sanctuary which raises the defense of all monsters in defense mode. Next, I tribute my Stone Statue of the Aztecs for my Iron Fortress of Darkness in defense mode (100/2500)”
“That’s weaker than your statue, why tribute for it?” Richard asked.
“You’ll see kid, you’ll see, you move now though.”
Richard drew. “I tribute my Sangan for Dark Ruler Ha Des! (2450/1600) Next I fuse my Cave Dragon and Lesser Fiend for Fiend Skull Dragon! ( 2000/1200) Since I fused, I get Polymerization back and get to draw 2 cards. Sadly, I can’t destroy your monsters, so I end”
“My turn now.” Spoke Alucard. “Now my Fortress of Darkness gains 500 defense! (100/3000) Now I’ll activate my Raregold Armor on it, meaning you must destroy my Fortess before any of my other monsters. Next, I summon another Gear Golem the Moving Fortress in attack mode! And now I switch my other gear golem into attack mode and pay 1600 life points. Now both can attack directly during this turn! So both of my Golems! Attack directly! Then it’s your move”
Alucard: 2400
Richard: 1000
Richard drew slowly from his deck and sighed. “I pass. Your move...”
“Too easy!” Shouted Alucard. “-1600 more for me. Now finish him off my Golems!”
The iron golems flew towards Richard sending him flying back into a wall.
Alucard: 800
Richard: 0
Alucard just walked off after that.
Dylan finished watching the duel, amazed at Alucard’s skills. Dylan just looked at his deck and continued walking towards the matches stand, to tell the host his result of the game.
Short Chapter, I know, not the greatest at making long chapters.
