Yugi stared sadly out the window as they drove to the airport, crammed into the van, silence stifling them, and worry hung so heavily in the air that most found it hard to breathe. Exhausted and filled to the brink with worry and fear he found it hard to keep his eyes open never mind keep his mind upon one thing. Though, even when his mind wandered, it always managed to fall back to Yami. He missed his other half terribly, he could not sleep at night never mind eat a decent meal without worrying that something or someone was seriously hurting Yami. With how Toran and Kosey acted, who knows what those bastards would do.
Blinking he felt a widespread hand rest on his shoulder, turning his gaze he found that it was Bakura, the spirit gave him a comforting smile before turning back to slap Joey upside the head for making fun of the CD that was blaring loudly as a distraction for the others.
Rain pounded onto the vehicle, pouring rivers down the windows and giving Yugi some sort of distraction. His eyes watching the clear water running slowly like tears, feeling tears of his own come to his eyes he covered them in an attempt to stop them, but he could not. He wanted Yami back, and he wanted him back now.
Pulling into the parking lot, Seto drove in circles for a moment before he found a parking slot. Driving in he glanced back at his friends, “let's run it. Bakura, Joey, pass the luggage out in here so that we don't have to worry about standing out there trying to retrieve them,” he suggested. Nodding Bakura and Joey reached back, pulling out the duffle bags and handing them out to the owners. Seeing that Yugi was in rough shape Joey kept the smaller duellist bag in his arms.
Opening the doors the group bailed out, slamming the doors then rushing towards the building, shielding their heads with their bags. They laughed playfully at each other as the water soaked them through before they had reached the electronically activated metal doors to the airport.
Sticking together they made their way to the terminal, dropping their luggage off they moved to sit down in the dry seats of the lounge. Huddling together they tried to keep warm, squeezing the water out of their clothing while they waited for their plane to be announced. Even though it was a private jet they still needed to go through all of the regular procedures in an airport.
“Flight 67-b to the docking bay, 67-b,” called the voice of a rather bored attendant over the intercom. Rising to their feet the group retrieved their carry on bags and moved to where the flight attendants were standing. Striding through the tunnel they boarded the spacious jet. Ten seats, perfect amount for the seven of them.
Taking their seats they fastened their seat belts, immediately Seto called Mokuba and Jamie to make sure that everything was alright. Once he had finished the plane roared to life and began to move towards the runway, speeding down the straight slab of pavement the group found themselves in the air, and nearly ten hours away from Nick and Royan's second home in Thebes, Egypt.

“Wake up,” snapped Toran's voice, breaking Yami out of his sleep. Growling the former Pharaoh opened his eyes, glaring at the incompetent moron beside him with distaste. Snarling Toran gripped his arm, forcing him to sit up before shoving his face forward making it so that there was only inches between his and Yami's face, “time for you to clean up, maggot, before you get to go see the Master again. Move!!”
“Patience is a virtue,” Yami snapped, rising to his feet and allowing Toran to lead him towards a doorway on the far wall, “or is that concept too difficult for you to comprehend”.
Pinning Yami against the door brutally without a care Toran scowled deeply, “undermined me again, scum, and I will beat you so hard you won't know how to walk ever again”.
“You will only do that if you wish for your testicles to be removed with a hot blade,” advised Lostris striding into the room in which Yami was being kept in, the lavish space bright with the morning glow.
Turning to her Toran scowled, “I am assuming that the Master has left you in charge of him”.
Nodding briefly she gripped Yami's arm, brushing Toran's hand away, “I am, mostly because you and Kosey are rather rough, Master Chike wishes for the Pharaoh to be as comfortable as possible. In other words, hurt him in any way, even if it is minuet, and you will loose that pathetic excuse for a manhood”.
“Bitch,” cursed Toran, moving forward with his hand upraised ready to strike, but his target was blocked from him, snarling he glared down heatedly at Yami, “move weakling”.
“Is that insult supposed to faze me,” demanded Yami, violet eyes darkening, “sorry to reprimand you but, I beat you easily back at the Kaiba mansion, and at Bakura's home. I'm not weak”.
*Yami move, I don't need him injuring you further.*
/If he injures me he'll pay the price, remember, he has his balls on the line at the moment/
*Good point.*
Hands twitching in restraint face red with anger and contorted ridiculously with the breath that he was holding, Toran took a step back forcing his hands to his sides, “that was sheer dumb luck”.
“Really now,” Yami chuckled, “I don't believe in luck, but I do believe in skill. Quite frankly if I do remember right, I was the one trained by the best in ancient times, my fighting skills are far better than yours, it's just a matter of retraining my body. So indeed it was sloppy, but I still beat you, injured as well might I add”.
“It was luck,” grunted Toran, turning towards the door, “now if you'll excuse me I have yet to eat breakfast. Prey Pharaoh, that I am never given permission to hurt you or watch you over night”. With that he left like a dog with its tail between its legs.
Resisting the urge to laugh profusely Yami turned to Lostris, “thank you, again,” he said politely, bowing his head slightly to her in respect, “you keep saving me from having to deal with these bastards”.
She smiled, leaning forward she placed a tiny kiss upon his cheek, “what are friends for Yami,” she said before opening the door, “now lets get you into a bath, sorry to say but you really need it”.
He sighed, rubbing his neck in embarrassment, “I'll have to agree with you”.
Giggling she flicked on the light and urged him into the immense lavish bathroom, “well then get in, the sooner you get in, the longer you can relax,” she encouraged. Closing the door she gently urged Yami to sit down upon the edge of the rather large bath tub, reaching out she gripped the silver knobs and turned them allowing a thick wave of water to cascade down into the deep tub. Testing the water she pulled back, satisfied that it was at the right temperature before she retrieved a bottle of bubble bath from the medicine cabinet behind the mirror. Soon the entire room was filled with the scent of roses, lavender, and honey.
Closing his eyes Yami let his head drop back as the aroma filled his nostrils, instantly soothing his pounding head and relaxing his body. A deep breath escaped him, “gods that smells wonderful”.
Beaming at him Lostris rose to her feet, “strip and get in, that way you will know how good it will feel, these tubs are pretty deep or you can fully submerge yourself”.
Doing as bided Yami wrapped a towel around his waist as Lostris removed the bandages on his torso, checking the incision. Tiny as it was she still found that it was purple and red from bruising and swelling. Scowling she rummaged about for a plastic bag and waterproof medical tape. Finding it she cut a small square out of the plastic and covering the incision secured it with the tape. Once satisfied she supported Yami into the tub, all the while laughing at the blush that radiated from his cheeks.
Face resembling a ripe raspberry Yami submerged himself in the bubbly water, trying hard to cover himself. Pride taking over he crossed his arms over his chest and dipped down in the hot water until only his head was visible. Lostris laughed openly at this, “you don't have to be embarrassed Yami, if it makes you feel any better your body is very appealing”.
“Lostris,” Yami almost shrieked in dismay, the blush on his face darkening.
Roaring with laughter Lostris covered her mouth to suppress the sound, regaining her composure she smiled brightly at him, “I have to help you with things like this for a while Yami, so get used to it”.
Mumbling incoherently Yami sunk underneath the water, hoping that the bubbles would protect him for a little while, or as long as he could hold his breath.

When they arrived at the airport all of them were anxious to disembark. Retrieving their luggage they followed Royan and Nick out of the airport and into the parking lot. The hot Egyptian sun immediately beating upon them, heating their skin and removing the chill from the cooler weather back at home.
A white limousine was parked waiting for them, the driver waving enthusiastically at Royan and Nick. The two greeted him joyfully in Arabic, embracing him as they would a friend before encouraging the others into the limo. Taking their seats they allowed the driver to deal with the luggage after he insisted upon it. Once done that the driver took his seat and flared the engine, calling back to Royan and Nick, “where to Mr and Mrs. Quenton-Harper”.
“Home for now Roshu, we need to get settled today and plan a few things,” instructed Nick before glancing at Seto, “I am going to contact my friend Taita and see what he knows about the situation. Ishizu and Marik introduced us to him a year or so ago on the dig, he is from the same village as they are. He might know something. Otherwise get settled in your rooms, the computers and the study are open for use if you want to try and find out more about these bastards”.
Nodding Seto ran his digits through his chestnut hair, “the sooner we find Yami the better, I don't want anything to happen to him,” he grunted, “if they harm him in anyway they will live to regret it”.
Yugi, Bakura, and Joey glanced at each other, all of them could tell that Seto meant every word, it was obvious to all of them the intense feelings that Seto held towards Yami, and they all knew that just like with Mokuba, Seto will do anything and everything to make sure that Yami is safe and in his arms. They almost smiled at this, but the worry was still too heavy upon them to allow for such an expression.
Silence drifted over them as they listened to the soft music playing through the vehicle as it drove down the wide streets of Thebes, passing by beautiful buildings of ancient and modern design. Restaurants, businesses, convenient stores, malls, and museums were all they could see for a good amount of time before they left the industrial part of the city and entered the open expanse of lavish estates and simplistic homes.
To the west they could see the tall limestone walls, golden and immense, that led towards the Valley of the Kings and Queens. Farm land, mansions, and the wide beautiful Nile river in all its turquoise splendour and glory were the only things stopping them from going directly there.
Families worked outside in the fields, most tending to the crops, while others gathered dirt pounding it with their feet to harden it slightly before they used a simplistic mould to create mud brinks, suitable for building homes or containers to hold water during the heat of the summer.
The road dragged on, carrying them almost a mile outside of the city, turning off the main road they headed down a smaller road towards a lavish estate. Acacia trees lined the road, covering the vehicle with cool shade to lessen the heat that cascaded upon them. At the end of the road lush green grass could be seen, well kept, with many gardens filled with flowers and other precious plants.
A gasped escaped Joey, Yugi, and Bakura's mouth as they spotted the house. Designed entirely of stone it mimicked an ancient home built for high society, windows littering it along with balconies and beautifully sculptured columns. A stable was off to one side near an open field for ridding, ten horses dashing about freely, frolicking on the waters of the Nile and grazing on the thick green grass.
“This place is beautiful,” murmured Yugi as the limousine came to a stop in front of the entry.
Royan smiled and ruffled his hair affectionately, “I owned this home before I married Nick, I had been in an arranged marriage then, to a Duraid Al Simma. He paid the price for helping me translate the scrolls that held the hidden location to a Pharaoh's tomb down in Ethiopia, the thieves that were looking for it burned him alive,” she expounded, a glint of sadness in her eyes.
“Taita, Tanus, Lostris, and Kratus happen to be reincarnations of some of the people who knew the Pharaoh closely. They also live in that Millennium village,” added Nick, “we believe that Yami is the Pharaoh in that tomb. But his body was not there, if it was we never found it”.
“Com, come lets get inside, I will start making tea and supper,” said Royan, shoving the door open and stepping out into the warm sunshine.
Quickly the others followed as she led them into the house.

“Yami,” came Chike's voice, narrowing his eyes the spirit crossed his arms defiantly over his torso as he heard the click signalling to him that Lostris had closed the door. The idea that she was no longer with him made his heart race, he could not defend himself at the moment with the cold that he still had and the open incision from surgery. If Chike tried to take him now, or beat him for that matter, he would not be able to stop him.
The man moved towards him, swaying slightly like a hungry cobra cornering its prey before the kills. His eyes, dark and frightening, were filled with lust and hunger. Matching Chike's forward steps with a backwards one of his own Yami tried to keep his enemy at a distance, prolonging what ever it was that Chike intended on doing. It was only when his back hit a wall that he felt the breath leave his throat, “what do you want from me,” he demanded, voice surprisingly calm.
Smiling mischievously Chike place a hand against the wall, one on either side of Yami's head, “I want many things from you; your powers, your soul, your mind, and your body, but I can only really have one at a time am I right,” he sneered, licking his lips.
“You won't be having any of them, not while I still draw breath,” Yami growled, glaring deeply into Chike's dark eyes as he pressed himself firmly against the wall, “back off”.
“What if I wish not to, you are rather delectable at the moment, and a rather easy catch if you follow me,” Chike murmured huskily, firm digits ghosting over the expanse of Yami's torso resting on the linen bandages that he could feel underneath the tunic that the Pharaoh wore, “I could have you right now if I wish”.
“Not without a fight,” Yami snapped, “and I can guarantee that you do not want me to fight back, it will only damage me more, possibly kill me if I over exert myself. Or have you forgotten that your men removed me from the hospital barely a day after I had surgery upon my lungs. I move to much, the tape will rip off, and I will bleed to death in minutes. Do you want that Chike”.
Dark eyes narrowed in defeat, “even if I cannot take you now, at least I will gain something from this little visit. You are to join me tonight in the dinning hall for dinner, while you are a prisoner to me you are allowed free roam of the ship, so long as you have an escort, and you will do as I tell you. If you do anything less, I will send my men to find your little Yugi and bring him to me for my amusement, am I clear”.
Lip quivering, and hands shaking with seething anger Yami nodded his head firmly, “crystal,” he snapped heatedly.
Smirking Chike shifted so that his body was flush against Yami's, “good,” he chuckled before crushing his lips against the spirits in a bruising kiss. Yami gave a small cry of protest, his hands pressing against Chike's muscled torso trying desperately to push him away. Only for the man to shove his weight against his hand, pressing fully against him and causing him to gasp in pain as his chest was compressed.
A hot tongue shot briefly into his mouth, running over his own tongue and the roof of his mouth before retracting, the owners body following in suit. Panting Yami bit his lip, holding back the overwhelming urge of vomiting. Chike chuckled, leaning forward he nipped roughly at Yami's smooth collar bone, breaking the flesh and causing a small trickle of thick red blood to spill over smooth golden skin.
“As soon as your chest is healed, you will do as I wish, and you will take your place at my side, and in my bed,” Chike said devilishly, his tongue darting out to lick up the taste of Yami's coppery blood from his lip, “you won't be able to escape me”.
“We shall see,” Yami murmured, crimson eyes blazing with fury.
……………….
She paced the hall, listening for any noises from within the room that she had just left. She hated leaving Yami alone, she despised having to force the injured and somnolent young teenager to deal with Chike's aggressive and immense strength on his own with no one to aid him. It tore at her heart, causing a pain to well in her chest, “Gods help him,” she murmured.
The door knob clicked and turned, reflecting the sunlight off of the stainless steel material as the door was pushed open. Turning she move immediately as Yami hurriedly left the room, a hand pressing roughly over his collar bone, and tears of both fury and hurt in his crimson eyes. Grasping his shoulders she brushed his hand aside, spotting the rather large bite mark she glanced into his face where the bruising upon his lips became evident to her.
“I'm sorry,” she murmured, running smooth digits over his face as his body shook, fighting back the tears, “lets get you washed up,” she advised.
He nodded wordlessly, his eyes draining of lustre and becoming pale orbs, his face placid. Heaving a sigh she wrapped an arm around his shoulders, glade that he was slightly smaller than her, and led him back towards his room. Pushing the door open she locked it behind her before urging him to sit down upon the bed.
Retrieving a bowl of hot water, a cloth, a small medical kit, and a towel she busied herself with tenderly lathering the abused areas with the damp cloth, soothing the skin and reducing the swelling a bruising. Then she cleaned the bite wound, stiffening as she heard a small wince of pain escape her friend as she did so. Covering it with gauze and tape she cupped his face in her hands, forcing pale crimson eyes to lock with her own.
“Don't worry, I'll get you out of here before he has the chance of taking you. As soon as we reach Thebes we are leaving, I promise,” she whispered, kissing his brow soothingly before sitting beside him and gently urging him to lay down. She followed him, resting his head upon her breast, all the while caressing his head with her delicate hands.
Unexpectedly she heard a sweet melodic voice strike up, shattering the silence with the clarity and beauty of the tone. Within seconds she realized that the voice was Yami's, so she closed her eyes and listened as he sang.
Every night in my dreams
I see you. I feel you.
That is how I know you go on.
Far across the distance
And spaces between us
You have come to show you go on.
Near, far, wherever you are
I believe that the heart does go on
Once more you open the door
And you're here in my heart
And my heart will go on and on
Love can touch us one time
And last for a lifetime
And never go till we're one
Love was when I loved you
One true time I hold to
In my life we'll always go on
Near, far, wherever you are
I believe that the heart does go on
Once more you open the door
And you're here in my heart
And my heart will go on and on
You're here, there's nothing I fear,
And I know that my heart will go on
We'll stay forever this way
You are safe in my heart
And my heart will go on and on
I see you. I feel you.
That is how I know you go on.
Far across the distance
And spaces between us
You have come to show you go on.
Near, far, wherever you are
I believe that the heart does go on
Once more you open the door
And you're here in my heart
