Yu-Gi-Oh! Fan Fiction ❯ Altered Destinies ❯ Prologue ( Prologue )

This is my first attempt at a Yu-Gi-Oh fanfiction so please be kind in your reviews, if you review. I might not have many of the characters in character. On another note I do not own Yu-Gi-Oh and never will. I don't know whom it is that owns Yu-Gi-Oh and besides giving these unknown parties credit for making such a kickass manga/anime, I don't really care. Also, I don't have any money right now so, no one can benefit at all when it comes to suing me.

I came up with this idea when I read a couple of stories that I have read on fanfiction.net. One was recently taken off for some reason but it had been a good story. The other focused on the series if Yugi had been born a girl. I decided to take my shot at this kind of story but using Seto Kaiba. I will only mention this once so pay attention:

-Altered Destinies, Prologue-

Silence was all that could be heard as a tall woman wearing a white dress stood with her eyes closed in deep. Very little light kept the room from being pitch black. Opening her eyelids to reveal dark brown eyes. Her gaze was fixed on a stone tablet with a long dead language carved into it. A scene of a struggle for power was the center focus on the tablet. On one side was a Pharaoh with spiky hair calling on support from what looked like a sorcerer above him. The other side had what appeared to be a man in Priest Robes and having the support of fierce dragon-like monster. //For thousands of years, my family has protected this tomb, waiting for the return of nameless Pharaoh. Shadi had told me that he has returned. So far I haven't seen any signs of it yet.//

"Still thinking about what I said on the Pharaoh's return Isis," a cryptic voice said disrupting the lady's thoughts. Isis turned to see a guy with the same tone of skin as hers. He had blue eyes with any pupils.

"I am still wondering how you are constantly able to sneak into this tomb when no mortal except for an Ishtar is allowed in here Shadi," Isis said. "I just haven't been able to sense anything even with the power of the Sennen Tauk."

"As powerful as the Sennen Tauk is, even that can't predict the fate or whereabouts of other Sennen Items. They defy the very fates themselves," Shadi explained. "You should focus on some other factor. As to what that is, I have no idea." Just as Shadi had said that he felt a powerful mystic force hit his mind. //A powerful force has caused the mystic alignment to shift. Two people with powerful destinies linking to each other are about to clash.// He noticed the necklace-like object on Isis glowing. "Isis, your Sennen Tauk."

"Yes, I've felt it too," Isis said looking at the stone tablet. "It seems that I have found the Pharaoh at Domino City at KaibaCorp about to rekindle a rivalry that is as old as time." Isis turned to face Shadi to find that he was gone. //Huh, how did he do that? Oh well I think I should watch this.// Isis closed her eyes as she brought her hand up the Sennen Item around her neck and the object glowed. Once Isis opened eyes, she found herself far, far away from her previous location. //The ability to see the past, present and future is real useful. No one else can even see me.// Isis scanned the large open room that she was now in. It was pretty much a small dueling arena. Seats all around surround what looks like specially design chamber with a table a two seats. A tall male with brown hair, blue eyes, and wearing a completely white suit, jacket and pants. //Kaiba Seto, the reincarnation of the Pharaoh's High Priest.//

The man in question stood by the chamber waiting for the arrival of the one guy who beat him a few weeks ago. //Come on Yugi.// He thought to himself. //Your end is near.//

The boy in question is walking to the door after he had saved a very young boy of about 11 years of age with very long black hair. He could hear the boy talk about how his older sibling, Seto Kaiba had never been the same for years, like some demon had replaced his sibling overnight. "Yugi, I-"

"Don't worry about that," The boy with multicolored hair interrupted. "I have to correct a mistake on my part. Besides, I still have to reveal a secret of his to reveal." Unbeknownst to the two, Shadi was watching the scene. He also saw the image of the person that dared to clash against the Pharaoh.

//I see that destiny has changed even for the Oracle. I'd never thought that the Pharaoh's rival would be reborn.// Shadi thought as he followed the Pharaoh through the door and to the area were two people whose destinies are intertwined together meet. People hurriedly rushed to find whatever seats they could find to see the conclusion of the Death T tournament. Yugi has made it through 4 stages and now it was the final stage.

"It took you long enough to make it here Motou," Kaiba said lifting a deck of cards in his hand. "Here is where your journey and life ends."

"I am ready for you Kaiba," Yugi said. "I will make sure you learn a valuable lesson in putting ones heart in their cards. For my grandfather, my friends, for Mokuba and for you as well."

"Go Yugi teach that jerk Kaiba a lesson," a boy with blonde hair said with two tall, very brutish men behind him and a girl with brown hair, blue eyes, wearing a pink jacket and a short blue skirt standing next to him.

"You still preach about that ridiculous concept," Kaiba laughed. "Look where it landed your Grandfather. You could say that I have ripped his heart out. Now lets get on with this duel." Kaiba stared at his opponent. //Little do you realize the futility of your chances now that my real deck is out. Last time, I didn't have them in my deck, but now I do. Three Blue Eyes White Dragons and the only monster in the world of Magic and Wizards that can stand up to their might ripped up. Winning this will be a cinch.// The screen pans up to see three dragon-like figures concealed by shadows.

This is my first Yu-Gi-Oh story so it might take time for it to get going. I am trying to follow as close to the Manga storyline as possible. Since the story is centered more on Seto, I will skip over most of the parts or have a "what else" is going on while Yugi and friends are doing this. To explain why I started off at this point, since Seto is going to be a girl in this timeline and hide it at first, not much would change until this battle. The only change will be described in the next chapter. Anyone who knows about Duelist Kingdom before book 11, please notify me of what happens.
