Yu-Gi-Oh! Fan Fiction ❯ Be Careful Of What You Wish For , It Might Come True ❯ Chapter 1 ( Chapter 1 )
OMG! I forgot a disclaimer for my prelude! Thanx so much Jak! So I'll say this now, I don't own anything from the last chapter. Nothing, except the star, that's based on a necklace I own. And I don't own Haisis either. She really was a goddess in A. Egypt.
Disclaimer for THIS chapter: I don't own Yu-Gi-Oh or anything except my Linkin Park CD (I don't own Linkin Park. However much I wish I do…lol), and my star. SO THERE! You can't sue me! Does the happy dance.
Yami: hits DarkAngel over the head* THAT'S A CRIME AGAINST NATURE I TELL YA WHAT!
DA oh thanks…L …hmmm…^_^ oh well, you still can't sue me! So quiet you! And where did you get a southern American phrase?
Yami: 'what have I gotten myself into?'
DA- Dunno? All right. I'm just gonna start writing, uh, typing.
And thanx to darkish angel, Jak, Naomi Silverwolf, and unicornfan for reviewing. Even though asking me if I'm Mandi, was it? Shouldn't count as a review…but still happy. J Thanx especially to my buds, darkish angel and Jak (you misspelled your name jack….) for guessing who Apophis is. Especially Jak for giving me a laugh and I could tell ya at school, but no it isn't croquet. Sorry amigo. Darkish angel, you're on the right track…but of course with my insane mind, that could mean anything…lol.
Marik stared at the star. He'd placed it on the table in the kitchen, and stare at it was pretty much all he could do. 'Why didn't it work?' he asked himself. 'I destroyed Haisis. Her soul has been given to the duat! (The Egyptian equivalent to h*ll, if ya know what I mean…) The world should be in chaos. And the pharaoh's spirit should have been anialated by the after effects! What went wrong?' This was truly a puzzling matter. Marik cringed. Puzzling. He sighed deeply. 'Oh well. Time to come up with a new plan.' This last thought made him a bit uneasy. He got up from the table and walked over to the balcony and looked out. The frustration inside of him was unbearable. HE DESTROYED A DEITY! ONE OF THE STRONGEST ONES OUT THERE! And yet, in the end he'd still somehow managed to fail. Something in the back of his mind urged him to remain calm and go to Isis's library. There might be something there to help. Marik was slightly puzzled (puzzled!) when these thoughts came to him. Surly they weren't his. And yet they came completely formed. A very confusing matter, but he did, indeed, go to Isis's library. Isis kept it filled with different spells and odd things from ancient Egypt ( A.N.Oh the havoc that could insue from this!) He took out a scroll, sat down, and began to read. By the looks of the library Isis had massed over the years, this could take awhile.
Yugi was lying wide-awake on his bed. Or rather, the bed in his soul room. He'd woken up there. Which meant one of either two things. A) Yami had "borrowed" his body temporarily, or B) he'd been locked in there by forces unknown. He deeply hoped if was option A.
He rolled over and looked around the room that was his. All around were toys and puzzles and odd things. Paper clips for an odd reason seemed to be found everywhere. The first time Yami had come into his soul room and shot a quizzical look at Yugi and asked why there were so many paper clips. Yugi had very regrettable that he had been obsessed with them when he was younger. Yami had laughed so hard he choked (An-I've done that before. Not a good feeling I tell you what lol) and Yugi had hesitated before helping him. Just slightly.
But there was a good reason why Yugi was now awake. He ached all over was one reason. The pain had just shot and struck him. Yami had reacted immediately by taking control, assuming the attacker was outside; long story short, he was wrong. He now returned to his own soul room after telling Yugi that everything was fine. Yugi felt the familiar feeling of returning to his body and looked at his own room. Nothing was touched and everything was as it was when he'd gone to bed.
/yami? / He asked.
//…// No reply. Not good.
/YAMI?! / He asked louder this time. Acutely, it wasn't louder. Just said with more force. Yugi had learned very quickly that if you raised your voice inside your head you could get a very bad headache, very fast.
// Yeah huh? // Came a distant reply. He sounded preoccupied. At this hour?
/what happened? /
Yugi could sense him thinking.
//not sure…. Haven't thought about the possibilities yet. //
/why not? /
//didn't think to//
'Hmmm' Yugi didn't like it. Usually when Yugi was in danger, Yami did everything in his power to keep that danger at bay, not push it aside.
/all right, I'm going back to sleep/
//good night young one. Again. //
Yugi smiled slightly at this. He was starting to rub off on Yami. At least now Yami understood the concept of humor. That was good.
Yugi rolled over and went to sleep. Again.
Yami was confused. Beyond belief if it was possible. The magic signature that had stuck them was familiar. He'd recognized it. But from where? And if that wasn't confusing in the first place, it seemed that with that shock, a memory had been released. Yami was overjoyed. And confused. Overfused was what Yugi called it when you were puzzled by something, and yet were happy as could be. Quite an interesting feeling. (AN- I've done that. Man what a sugar-high that was. Just finished a Texas sized pixie stick. I was sugar high all afternoon and beyond.)
The memory was of a girl, blonde hair and silverish black eyes if that was possible. She wasn't the thinnest of girls, but she wasn't fat, or overweight. And she seemed to give off a vibe of "if ya mess with me people are going to get hurt, most likely you" but at the same time she was looking at him showing that she was amused and pitying him at the same time. She reminded him deeply of Seto Kiaba. Only female. Kiaba female. Now THAT was funny. He'd been looking at the memory since Yugi was struck. It seemed to come with the….whatever it was. The He almost didn't catch Yugi talking to him. He simply wanted to know what happened. He had said he didn't know, and felt Yugi's suspicion.
'Hmmm' he'd thought to himself. 'What was there to be suspicious of?'
He turned his attention back on the girl and left it at that. His deeply wished he could remember his past. He'd give almost anything for it. Almost.
Marik grinned evilly in his sister's library. 'Perfect' he thought. This was going to make history this was. All of the radicals from A. Egypt had been foolish if they'd overlooked such a simple plan. One that could have destroyed Yami, and the guardian, over a series of 2 weeks, tops. All he had to do was give the necklace to Yugi, and when he put it on, bye bye world. Not only would the pharaoh be destroyed, it would also give him all the power he desired. Apparently the necklace he's obtained contained a curse. Whoever wore it besides Haisis, or the other person who was renting out a part of it, put it on, their mind would become trapped in it. Or rather, become slowly sucked into it. Every time a person went to sleep, it would start to bring the soul in it. Marik looked at it again. 'But I own it now!' He thought rather drastically. He reread the scriptures and found a loophole. Or was it him? He hadn't worn the necklace. He, therefore, would not be effected. He sighed with relief for the third time that day. 'I'll put my plan to good use in the morning,' he thought glancing at the clock. He put the scroll back and headed for his room. First placing the star necklace in his nightstand under lock and key; and taking his Rod out of his belt and setting in on the bedside table.
Apophis woke up as well. Only to see Isy, or at least a memory of her. Her black/white eyes representing the good/evil magic residing in her, and her blonde hair, red in the back. (A.N.: red was the color of evil in Ancient Egypt) He remembered Isy from way back when in Egypt. She'd given him his Millennium Item. She'd been a close to friend to him. Even though she worked in the palace as a vizier and guardian to the present pharaoh. But the warning that was given to him was startling. He had known that she was a deity, but that she had been Isis' daughter! That was new. And know the magic of the world was wild and now uncontrollable.
'Indeed' he thought. The magic wasn't wild! She'd made an error. It should be wild if she really was destroyed and gone, but wasn't. 'Perfect. Something else to thing about….'He looked at his hikuri. He had been greatly startled. And, as always, thought that he was responsible for the pain inflicted. 'Hmmm. If you weren't such a weakling the things I could accomplish' he thought in disgust.
The pain that traced the destruction of Isy, was a result of their tie. A costum in Ancient Egypt. When friends share an unbreakable bond, blood is shared. Simple as that. Cut your arm and you'd be linked forever. Isy was a deity though. That's why his soul was caught in the Millennium Ring. He had blood in him of divinity. Only one other being had this bond to her as well. Yami.
All right people. It's 4 Am., and yes I've finished writing this. I'll upload it in the morning, even though I'm wide-awake on caffeine! WEEEEEEEEEEE!
Yami: O_o ???
DA. Hehehe…. Got to excited (^.*) please review. I beg of you! I'll do anything!
Yami Bakura: anything you say?
DA: O_O' Check that, almost anything.
Y.B.: darn
DA: "yep, I'm having to much fun with this!" aloha!
-Pax (Latin for peace. Answer your question jak?)
A small note on why I changed his name. In later chapters, oh. How to explain without giving anything away? We see him in Ancient Egypt, and I doubt the fact that he was called Yami Bakura way back when.
