Chapter 7: Door to His Heart

//Normal POV//

With only one emotion spread across his face Atemu sat at a table doing paperwork. COMPLETE DREAD! This complete dread was for the only enemy the young Pharaoh Atemu could not defeat…PAPERWORK! Seto walked through the door with an arm load of more scrolls. As Seto set all 20 scrolls on the table, in front of Atemu, while Atemu groaned.

Seto: Cousin, please be patient.

Atemu: Do I really have to do all of this?

Isis: (appears in the doorway) I think the scrolls can wait.

Atemu: thank you Isis!

Atemu jumps up from his current position while slamming his hands onto the table, to keep him balanced. But unfortunately for Atemu, in the process of his excitement his chair over turns, sliding a few feet to the side, and all the scrolls came tumbling down. As he tried to catch one he slipped, resulting in him on his back with scrolls falling on top of him. Isis walked out the door laughing as Seto approached Atemu intending to help him up.

Seto: (extends hand) Atemu can I speak with you alone?

Atemu: (takes hand) of course, after you clean up the scrolls, meet me in my room.

Seto: (sighs) ok.

Atemu leaves to his room leaving Seto to clean. Once Atemu was to his room he walked in and sat on his bed. Not a minute later Seto walks through the door.

//Yugi's POV//

After Mahado had brought me my meal, and he left, I sat on my bed. /I wonder what that door leads to./ After many minutes of guessing, curiosity overwhelmed me. /I am going to find out what is behind that door/.I went into my closet and pushed on the wall. The room was huge. To my right was a bed. It was lavished in a greenish color of silk. But sitting on the bed was Atemu! I closed the wall slightly, but wide enough for me to see through. The door opens to reveal a high priest who shuts the door behind him.

//Atemu's POV//

Seto walks into my room and shut the door behind him.

Me: Seto, what is it wyou wanted to speak with me about?

Seto: Yugi.

Me: what about him?

Seto: Cousin, you shouldn't marry him.

I was outraged.

Me: why not?

//Yugi's POV//

/Why would they talk about me? Wait if I'm to marry Atemu I would be related to this Seto guy!/My attention turned back tot eh conversation as Seto began to speak.

Seto: Akhnadin told me that if you marry Yugi then people might revolt and allies might rage war.

Atemu: Well I don't care.

Seto: why?

Atemu: (lowers head) because I love him. Ever since I saw those big beautiful eyes of his…(looks up again) Seto I felt a connection between us…In everyone's eyes Yugi is just an imperfection. But to me he's perfect.

/He loves me/!

Seto: (smiles) I understand. I guess my little cousin is growing up.

I giggled at the comment…but quickly stop.

Seto: what was that?

//Atemu's POV//

I heard someone giggle. Out of the corner of my eye I saw that the fake wall was pushed open.

Me: Seto, I'm tired…so can you leave?

Seto: uh…of course. Good night.

Seto left, shutting the door behind him, as I sit there.

Me: come out my little vampire.

//Yugi's POV//

/He called me LITTLE/! I come into full view, once through the entrance, and shut it behind me. I stomp over to stand in front of Atemu.

Me: Don't call me little!

Atemu: (smirks) If you don't mind, I think I'm going to go to bed.

Atemu stands and walks over to a small basket near the door.

Atemu: Do you need anything?

I stare at my feet.

Me: I um…wanted to know if all those…what are you doing?

I heard rustling of clothes and looked up at Atemu to see his bare chest.

Atemu: I was getting ready for bed. But that wasn't your question.

Me: Did you mean all those things you said?

He approaches me. He tilts my chin up as he leans his head down. Just before our lips meet he whispers “yes” and kisses me passionately.
