Yu-Gi-Oh! Fan Fiction ❯ Boku no Kokoro no Kakera ❯ Chapter 3 ( Chapter 3 )

[ T - Teen: Not suitable for readers under 13 ]
The third chapter! Okay, sorry I wasn't able to update. I ran out of internet and well, you get the point. I'm really sorry.

Disclaimer: I don't own Yu-Gi-Oh! If I did, guess who'd be a couple? Yami no Bakura and Ryou, of course. (laughs nervously) Then with Seto, that'd make a threesome.Summary: Ryou lost the feeling "love", how will he get it back. I like this story for some strange reason. And I fan over every first review. Wehe, MotherCHOWGoddess (ffnet) and vixinkitsune (mmorg).

"You're treating him like a thing right now," Seto replied. "How can you expect him to love you back.""Oh, he can't love," Bakura apprised. "He won't until he gets his heart back."

"What?" said Seto. Was the tomb robber speaking in riddles? Because that didn't exactly make any sense.Chapter 3

Kaiba's Bedroom, Saturday, 8amSeto sighed and leaned back on a pillow in his bedroom. Yesterday, he had been at Bakura Ryou's apartment. And then... He shifted slightly and reached for a pillow, hugging it tightly. He closed his eyes and sighed again for the nth time.

Bakura had confused our poor, beloved CEO. And he couldn't think straight. For now, at least. Anyway what did Bakura mean by Ryou not being able to love until he gets his heart back? That was just plain... impossible? Weird? Irrational?Seto was lost in his thoughts and rolled over, accidentally going over the edge. He yelped slightly, and frantically grabbed onto the sidetable. Unfortnately, a glass of water was there and it fell on his forehead, spilling its contents onto his clothes and hair. "Ouch." (Thanks Ego-chan for helping me with this scene...)

The door opened slowly and in came Mokuba, looking very worried. "Niisama? What happened?"Seto sat up and pointed at the glass. "That glass tried to kill me."

Mokuba looked over at the glass and back at his soaked big brother, face amused. Snickering slightly, he backed away and ran out of the room.Seto blinked stupidly for a moment before acting up suddenly. "You put that there, didn't you!?" he yelled, chasing after his brother, bumping into a few things in the process. "Ouch, hey! Mokuba, get back here!" (1) The rooms reverberated with Mokuba's plaintive cries and a loud crash as Seto slipped and fell, all drowned out by their laughter.

Only Mokuba could keep Seto happy. Only Mokuba.Room 801, Bakura Ryou's Apartment, 12pm

"Ryou?" Bakura knocked on his yadonushi's bedroom door."Come in," replied Ryou almost automatically.

And Bakura complied, seeing Ryou sitting on the edge of the bed. "Hey, I made us lunch. Do you want to eat with me?""I'd love to." The tomb robber held out his hand and Ryou immediately took it. Smiling slightly, Bakura led the smaller boy patiently to the table and made Ryou sit beside him.

There was a moment of silence before Bakura decided to say something. "Tell me, Ryou," said the tomb robber. "Why did it have to happen?""Hmm?" murmured the dazed-looking boy, poking his food with a fork lazily.

"Exactly why did part of your heart disappear?" continued Bakura. "How and who did this to you?""What do you mean?" Ryou responded softly. "I don't understand."

Bakura sighed and leaned back on his chair, closing his eyes. How could he even dared to ask that, of course Ryou wouldn't know. Bakura had found him unconcious and bloody one day, and he worried himself to death. And Bakura could sense that the wounds weren't fully-healed yet either.Bakura opened his eyes, looking up at the ceiling and saw a silvery-white fog with hints of red. He gaped at it as it began to take form. The fog moved around slowly, and Bakura was shocked to see that it had a face.

What surprised Bakura was not because he found out it had a face. It's because that face looked exactly like Ryou's."Is anything wrong?" Ryou asked, looking at his startled other self.

Bakura looked at Ryou, smiled at shook his head. He raised his head once again to see if "it" was still there but it had disappeared."It's nothing," he said. "C'mon, let's eat before the food gets cold."

"Okay."Kame Game Shop, 3pm

The doors opened and Bakura slipped inside."Welcome," Suguroku said. "Ah, Bakura! What brings you over here? Did you want to see Yuugi?"

"Yes," Bakura replied. "I need to ask Yuugi's other self about... something.""Okay, you mean Yami, you just need to go to Yuugi's room," said Yuugi's grandfather. "It's upstairs. He's with Yuugi right now so knock first and give them a minute or two to get decent."

Bakura raised an eyebrow, amused, as the old man chuckled and ran up to Yuugi's room. Forgetting what Suguroku said, he pushed the door open and immediately regretted it.Yami and Yuugi looked up to see who enterred. They both turned bright red simultaneously and Yami jumped off from where he was straddling Yuugi. "B-bakura!!!!!!!"

Bakura merely continued to gape at those two, obviously traumatized. A few moments lates, Yuugi, who is now wearing jeans, stepped forward and waved a hand in front of Bakura's face. "Hello? Bakura, are you okay?"No response.

"Leave him alone, aibou," said Yami, opening the closet and tossing Yuugi a shirt. "Get dressed first."4pm

"No, that has nothing to do with the Shadow Realm's power," Yami informed Bakura."Then what did?" Bakura demanded.

"I don't know," replied the pharaoh."Damn it," Bakura growled. "Why did this have to happen to Ryou!? Couldn't it have happened to Yuugi instead!"

"Wait a minute," Yami interrupted. "What are you insinuating!?""Mou, Yami!" Yuugi, complained, trying to keep his other self from launching himself at the other boy and kill him. "Calm down. He's just saying that. And it proves he does care for his other self." Yuugi gave him one of his cutest looks. "Please?"

Yami sighed in defeat and nodded, holding out his hand to Bakura. "Look, nothing's going to work out if we don't team up. So why don't we just..." Yami scowled at himself, obviously at a loss for words. And Yuugi knew this was a huge blow on Yami's pride.Yuugi looked over at Bakura, earning a glare from the white haired sprit. And very much to Bakura's surprise, Yuugi glared back. And that made him look like a bug-eyed Yami. Pretty much creeped out, Bakura hesitated, then grabbed Yami's hand and shook it quickly.

Both yami's looked at each other, disgusted at the contact. Yami excused himself to go to the bathroom while Bakura rubbed his hand on his shirt, muttering about the pharaoh leaving him with a foetid (2) hand because of that touch.Yuugi decided to get some tea for them, passing by the bathroom and hearing soft curses mostly about the tomb robber being impure and not worthy to even touch the pharoah's hand.

Yuugi sighed at the immaturity of the two spirits. I mean, like, dude. We're not in Egpyt anymore, this is the 21st century! "Grandpa, could you help me make tea for them?""Sure, Yuugi. I'll be there in just a second," came Suguroku's reply.

As soon as they finished, Yuugi brought the cups and the kettle up, bumpint into Yami along the way. "I was wondering where you had gone to.""I just went down to get some tea for all of us." Yuugi replied, smiling. "Is there something wrong with that?"

"Nothing," Yami admitted. "But... Ra, I can't believe you made me touch something unclean," groaned Yami. "I'd rather kiss and make out with Kaiba than do... that again."Before Yuugi could give any reaction, he saw someone with white hair run past them, furious. "Bakura!?" Yuugi yelled, shocked, and he nearly dropped the tray. "Yami, you have to go after him."

"If that's the way you want it then, pharaoh," bellowed a very angry Bakura. "Then I don't need any of your help.""Bakura, you don't understand," explained Yami, as he was running after Bakura. "It was a joke. I didn't mean it at all."

"Joke? A joke?" Bakura laughed that evil, insane laugh of his. "You think I'm that naive? Ha. That's funny, pharaoh. I knew I could never trust the likes of you.""What the hell is your problem, Bakura!?"

And both came to a screeching halt. "You are.""What? Why me? I know I shouldn't have insulted you like that, after we just teamed up to help your other self but I already told you. It was a joke and I'm sorry if I offended you."

"You're my problem," continued Bakura, obviously not listening to what Yami was saying and he turned around so Yami could see his face. "You took everything away from me. My family, my village. Everyone who had been close to me. You killed them just for the sake of these stupid Sennen Items. And now, you claim that you're going to help me?" Bakura laughed again. "I'll never forgive you. Not after what you did to Kuru Eruna. I swore revenge and I will fulfill that someday. You just wait." (3)"I didn't have anything to do with it, Bakura! You've got to believe me!" Yami replied, sounding calm. But deep inside, he wanted to yell at Bakura for being so... naive. For using him as a scapegoat because he had no one else to blame.

"And what? So you can hurt me again? I don't think so," Bakura shot back, tears starting to stream down his cheeks. "You're just scheming on how to to take Ryou away from me. Just like my family and my friends. You just want to hurt me again. Just... go away. And don't come back. I work alone. That's the way it was and always will be."To Be Continued

Relinquished - I took away Ryou's love, remember? Actually, I think it was you who I told about this fic before it was posted. Sucky fanfic desu...Chika of the high Mts - You reviewed... again! Ah, yes, Boku no Kokoro no Kakera translates to "My Heart's Broken Piece" or something like that. I'm not a good translator.

MotherCHOWGoddess - Candleshipping is Seto x Bakura x Ryou. Wow, your daughter can write lemons? I don't even want to try. My friend used to write NC-17 and her account got deleted. Kukuku... xD I have beta'd her fics before too.Dark Magician Girl / Hikaru: Hey, thanks for the review! xD I don't get many reviews and everyone's so nice... even though my fics suck.

From Mediaminer Org:vixinkitsune - Sankyuu for the review again. I don't deserve all that flattery... I always thought I'd just get one review per chapter. I guess I'm right. xD

Notes:(1) I was supposed to put in, "Mokuba, you little-! GET BACK HERE RIGHT NOW!!! YOU'RE GROUNDED!" but that sounds very OOC.

(2) Foetid. I like using that word. It means, with a rotten offensive smell.(3) Okay, I only got to watch up to the part where the Yami was dueling against Bakura in the Battle Ship. I have never seen the flashback parts yet, and I wish I could. And I guess what Yami said was too harsh. Maybe I shouldn't have typed that...

(4) Not in chapter. Ohmigod, I made Bakura cry! oO As if I wasn't traumatized enough. And this is bad. I didn't follow the plot for this chapter. Typing the next one will take long. Sigh... And I know Japan has classes from Monday to Saturday. I just made it Monday to Friday. Too much school.Translation/s:

(None... Wow, this is a first.)
