Yu-Gi-Oh! Fan Fiction ❯ Boku no Kokoro no Kakera ❯ Chapter 4 ( Chapter 4 )
Disclaimer: I don't own Yu-Gi-Oh! If I did, guess who'd be a couple? Yami no Bakura and Ryou, of course. (laughs nervously) Then with Seto, that'd make a threesome.Summary: Ryou lost the feeling "love", how will he get it back. I like this story for some strange reason. And I fan over every first review. Wehe, MotherCHOWGoddess (ffnet) and vixinkitsune (mmorg).

"You're my problem," continued Bakura, obviously not listening to what Yami was saying and he turned around so Yami could see his face. "You took everything away from me. My family, my village. Everyone who had been close to me. You killed them just for the sake of these stupid Sennen Items. And now, you claim that you're going to help me?" Bakura laughed again. "I'll never forgive you. Not after what you did to Kuru Eruna. I swore revenge and I will fulfill that someday. You just wait.""I didn't have anything to do with it, Bakura! You've got to believe me!" Yami replied, sounding calm. But deep inside, he wanted to yell at Bakura for being so... naive. For using him as a scapegoat because he had no one else to blame.
"And what? So you can hurt me again? I don't think so," Bakura shot back, tears starting to stream down his cheeks. "You're just scheming on how to take Ryou away from me. Just like my family and my friends. You just want to hurt me again. Just... go away. And don't come back. I work alone. That's the way it was and always will be."Chapter 4
Yuugi's bedroom, 11pmYami sighed and looked up at the ceiling. He never knew Bakura hated him because of that. He didn't even know there was a reason. Perhaps, Bakura was the way he is right now- insane, power-hungry and kind of paranoid, because of what happened to Kuru Eruna.
But what exactly did they do to Kuru Eruna? He couldn't remember. It must be awful, seeing as Bakura had cried in front of him. He had never seen Bakura cry before. Not ever."Yami?" whispered Yuugi, sounding concerned. "Can't sleep?"
"Mm-hm," Yami mumbled. "Something Bakura said just... I don't know. It's hard to explain and it's nothing, really."Yuugi squeezed Yami hand gently. "Does it have something to do with Kuru Eruna?"
"You heard us?" Yami said, surprised, sitting up. "We were far from the game shop, so even if we shout, you wouldn't have heard us, I mean...""I followed you after I put the tray down," Yuugi admitted. "And when I finally caught up with you two, I saw Bakura crying. And I heard him say something about Kuru Eruna. What's that?"
"It's a village he used to live in around 3000 years ago," Yami apprised. "Anou, Yuugi, I don't really want to talk about that now... we should get some sleep. Let's talk about it tomorrow morning.""You're right," agreed Yuugi. "Oyasumi, Yami."
"Oyasumi."Kaiba's Bedroom, Sunday, 4:30am
Seto sat up on his bed, and yawned. A dream had woken him up and he wasn't sure about what he had dreamt of now. Looking over at the clock, he saw it was a quarter past four. Well, he couldn't sleep now. And so, he decided to take a walk around Domino City before it gets noisy and congested.Quickly taking a bath and changing into casual attire, he slowly walked around, enjoying the cool air. It's been a while since he enjoyed being outside, alone. And he finds it very... relaxing.
Upon reaching the park, he saw a lithe form, with long unruly snowy white hair, shivering slightly. He inched closer and saw that the person had curled up slightly and buried his face in his arms. And he was awake, Seto was sure of it.There was only one person Seto knew who had long white hair. Ryou Bakura.
"Ryou, is that you?" Seto asked, cautiously, placing a hand on the boy's shoulder. But boy was Seto wrong. Bakura looked up at the young CEO and blinked, confused. "Kaiba?" Bakura turned red as he realized he still had tears rolling down his flushed cheeks. Okay, make that two people who Seto knows with long white hair.
"B-bakura?" Seto stammered, surprised to see the tomb robber, alone and crying. "What's wrong, why are you crying?""I'm not crying," lied Bakura, rubbing away the tears but they kept on coming. "I just have something in my eye."
"Yeah, right," Seto said sarcastically, knowing Bakura was lying and he thought of the possibilities for a while before asking, "Did something happen to Ryou?""No, he's probably still sleeping at home," Bakura informed the CEO, sniffling softly. "And if he did get in trouble, I would've saved him by now."
Seto looked at Bakura, who was still rubbing his face, again. "What happened then?""Nothing," replied Bakura. "I was just thinking about the pharaoh."
"What, you fell in love with Yami?" Kaiba raised an eyebrow, amused. He knew that Bakura and Yami didn't really get along well, but he wanted to annoy him. "Too bad he's taken.""No," replied Bakura in a voice that sounded almost pathetic. "I-it's nothing."
"It can't be nothing if it made you cry," Seto said, sharply. He definitely knew something was wrong; Bakura didn't get mad at him or anything. "You can tell me, Bakura.""Since when do you care about me?" Bakura shot back, curling up once again. "No one does. And no one will. Ever."
"What makes you say that?" Seto asked playfully, shaking Bakura's shoulder lightly."Ahem," mumbled Bakura. "If you haven't noticed, I'm an ex-tomb robber. A heartless, cold and calculated hu- spirit. Normally, people try to get rid of creatures like me. That is, if they're smart enough."
"And you're implying that I'm not smart?" Kaiba said, smirking. "Well, maybe I'm not the smartest person alive. Yeah, anyway, how long have you been here?""Since last night," Bakura said. "I don't remember."
"Why didn't you go back home?" asked Seto. "It's cold out here and you might get sick.""I left the keys in Yuugi's room," mumbled Bakura. "I don't want to go back there so don't even think of suggesting that."
"Why were you there anyway?" Seto asked."Why are you being so terribly inquisitive today, mortal?"
Seto sighed and leaned back. "I don't know. I guess I'm worried about you. You're not your usual, evil self. You sound like you need someone to make you laugh or something.""Ha. Ha," Bakura said. "There, now leave me alone." Bakura swayed slightly, tired, eyes slowly closing.
"That's not laughing, you're just pretending to," Seto said. "It's obvious. You're really weird, you know that."Blinking when he got no reply, he looked back at the tomb robber who was now asleep. Bakura probably didn't get any sleep last night, Seto mused.
Yuugi's bedroom, 5amYami sat up, rubbing his eyes slightly. At least he got some sleep. Though only for barely even six hours. He looked to his side where Yuugi was supposed to be but only saw the blanket. "Yuugi?"
"Hai, I'll be there in a second," Yuugi called from the bathroom.Yami smiled to himself and just went downstairs to get something to eat. He took some bread and Yuugi came into the room, his hair damp. Yami handed him some bread and they both started eating.
"So you took a bath already," said Yami with a mouth full of food. "It's really early. How long have you been awake?"Yuugi giggled at the sound, reminding Yami of the reaction of those giddy schoolgirls when they first saw Ryou Bakura. "Oh, I woke up a bit earlier, I guess." They finished their food at the same time and raced to Yuugi's room.
Yami won, of course. "Hey, why don't we go out to a movie later?""Yay!" Yuugi cheered, hugging the taller boy happily.
"What do you want to see?" asked Yami."Hm? How about 'Big Fish'?" said Yuugi. (1)
"Fish?" Yami said, raising an eyebrow. "Why fish?""I don't know," grinned Yuugi. "I haven't watched it before. But Anzu seems to like it. She told me about it and said that it's really nice."
Yami smiled. "You think we should trust her?""Mou, Yami!" Yuugi pouted. "What do you mean by that?" Yami just whistled innocently. Sighing, Yuugi continued. "Anzu had a crush on you, y'know." Yami gave Yuugi one of his 'I know that, no need to tell me' looks. "And when we told her about us, she took it surprisingly very well."
"She could've just been acting," Yami pointed out. "And you did use to like her as well. It was a very amusing triangle. I liked you, you liked Anzu and Anzu liked me.""It goes on and on," Yuugi giggled.
"What made you decide to like me back and forget about your childhood friend and crush?" Yami asked, grinning."I already told you, didn't I?" Yuugi pouted again. "It's because you told me you liked me in that way. And I didn't want to hurt you. Besides, I love you too, Yami."
"M'kay," Yami said. "But did it have to be about fish? I hate fish." Yami made a face and Yuugi gaped at him. "What? It's true, I think fish is disgusting and it smells bad too."Yuugi laughed. "You're being impossible."
Kaiba Mansion, 5:30amBakura shouldn't sleep on a bench in the park. It's too hard on that wretched bench and too cold there in the park. It was just too... everything. And that's how Seto ended up carrying Bakura home with him. To his home, his mansion.
Well, he could have just let Bakura sleep there; he didn't need to bring the tomb robber with him. He had a choice and yet, he didn't leave Bakura behind... why?Bang. Bang. Bang.
((Random person #1: Oh, Ra... Seto's banging his head... again!
Random person #2: Won't he get brain damage?
Random person #1: Most likely.
Random person #2: You go buy pizza and coke. I'll invite everyone and we can celebrate.
Random person #1: 'Kay! Hey, wait! Who's going to pay for those!?
Random person #2: You are, of course.
Random person #1: Damn you.))
Bang. Bang. Bang.
It continued."You do know you're going to get a pretty little bruise on your face, right?"
Seto quickly looked up to see Bakura, sitting up, staring at him with big innocent eyes. "And you'd care because?""I don't," replied the tomb robber, yawning quietly. "Don't all the girls in your school swoon because of your looks? Or is it because you're famous?"
"You know what?" Seto grinned. "I don't really know myself."Bakura smiled, looking almost like Ryou. Seto blinked, rubbing his eyes slightly. Is this really Bakura, he thought to himself.
"Are you sleepy?" asked Bakura.Bakura was acting so weird. So not violent and so not like himself. Maybe it's not Bakura. It could be Ryou. But at the same time, that was impossible. Bakura still had his pointed bunny-ear-like hair and his voice remained the same.
"I can go, if you want me to," Bakura offered."No," Seto responded. "You have to stay. And go to sleep. You need to."
"But-," Bakura started but was silenced by a finger."Go to sleep, Bakura," Seto said firmly. "I doubt you slept at all last night. You might pass out later, and I don't want that to happen."
Slowly, Bakura nodded and gave another smile, lying back down on the bed. He slowly closed his eyes and Seto started playing with the tomb robber's hair, unconsciously entwining his fingers with the silky silvery white strands."Sweet dreams, Bakura."
