Yu-Gi-Oh! Fan Fiction ❯ Common Grounds ❯ A Moment ( Chapter 6 )
[ Y - Young Adult: Not suitable for readers under 16 ]
Mistress: And here we have some brother sister interaction, sort of a basic for what their relationship is like at the moment. So uhm…yeah . ^_^
Sorry for all of you who are waiting for some fast hard core outcastpopular action, it won't happen for awhile. Like I said in the first chapter I think this will be one of my more even paced stories.
Anyway, I'm glad you guys like Yumi, she's me sorta, except that my mom would never let me wear that. Hell, she doesn't let me even read anything near dark sounding ( I do anyway without her knowing) I own all the books mentioned in the last chapter.
Rewards for reviewing! ^__^ I did not forget, I was going to make special YYBRMM icons for you guys to use ^__^;; I haven't exactly gotten there. Instead I shall reward you with a chapter, since you claim to like it, the next chapter is even long or I think it will be…uhm…yeah.
I'm currently writing a BRT story and a OC yugioh story shounen ai though, and working on my other stories. Those of you who follow my story: Perfect Dream to a Perfect Nightmare should be expecting an update sometime soon. I have the chapter somewhat written out, pure fluff.
To the story!
Chapter 6: A Moment
This time we both reach the door to my home at the same time. I explain that I went to get some tea to drink with the delicious cookies. You grin and tell me it's no problem. We enter the “reading room” as we've dubbed it and take our usual seats. I open the book and begin to read…
The sun peeked through the messily closed blinds of Yami's bedroom. Two figures scrunched their eyes shut and scooted towards each other. The one closest to the window opened his eyes in shock. Who the hell was in bed with him? Yami found himself facing his sister's face, completely without make up. For a moment he forgot what she was doing here, let alone in his bed.
“Yami dear your sister is going to be living with us,” Mrs. Moto said.
“Where is she going to be sleeping?”
“Your room, that is until the guest room gets cleaned up and we get a new bed and go SHOPPING!”
Yami groaned and closed his eyes.
“Shut up Yami, you're not the best thing to wake up to in the morning either,” Yumi's clear voice spoke startling Yami.
Yumi stretched her tube top blue nightshirt lifting to right below her chest. She pushed the sheets off of her and walked towards where she vaguely remembered the bathroom door from Yami's room to his personal bathroom to be. Just as Yumi closed the door Yami realized what his sister had said. She had been insulting him.
“HEY! I resent that!” Yami said glaring at the bathroom door as if to set it on fire.
“Took you long enough,” came the muffled response from Yumi.
Yami grumbled while rolling out of his bed. He walked over to his huge walk in closet and slipped his purple dinosaur boxers off and changing into black ones. There was no way he was going to let the other boys know he wore purple dinosaur underwear. He then pulled out his blue jeans and a white loose T-shirt. Over that he wore his “Jock” sweatshirt with the labels of the different sports teams he participated sown on it. To finish his look he brought his brush quickly through his hair and spiked it up more.
Just as Yami finished Yumi walked out of the bathroom her baby blue shorts in her arms and her tube top halfway off. Even though Yami wasn't attracted to girls he blushed fiercely.
“Put some clothes on woman!” Yami said his eyes wide and his blush growing worse.
Yumi rolled her eyes as she pulled off her top completely and searched through her bag for her sports bra.
“It's not like you haven't seen me naked before,” Yumi commented pulling her bra over her head.
“We were maybe 4 or 5!” Yami exclaimed perplexed.
“So…jeeze most guys would be happy to see any skin at all…unless,” Yumi spoke turning around with a grin.
She walked slowly toward her brother causing him to back up into the closet door which he had just closed. She leaned down and whispered into his ear, “you don't like girls.”
Yami's blush tripled in color. Yumi grinned and pulled back so that she was eye to eye almost nose to nose with her brother.
“You like guys don't you,” Yumi stated grinning in triumph as Yami made no effort to disagree.
“……so what if I do?” Yami managed to say under the intense gaze of his sister.
“Nothing,” Yumi said as she pulled back and went back to getting dressed.
Yami stood stupefied where Yumi had left him. He was sure she was going to laugh, or ridicule him or something else.
“It's okay with you?” he wondered staring at his sister who know had on black cargo jeans.
“Of course it is, why wouldn't it be?” Yumi asked looking at her brother genuinely confused.
“Well most people-”
“Yeah well I'm not most people. Besides those people who are against gay's and gay marriage are against love,” Yumi stated pulling a loose, twice her size, black t-shirt over her head, “and that sounded so corny.”
Yami laughed as Yumi grinned at him. For that small moment it felt like they hadn't been together their entire lives and not separated by continents.
“We should get going, I have to meet up with Bakura and Marik,” Yami said walking towards the door.
“So that's who those two were…I'll be right there,” Yumi replied walking back into the bathroom with a small black bag.
Yami shrugged and walked downstairs and was greeted by his mother.
“So how are things going?” she asked.
“Pretty good, I mean we haven't killed each other yet,” Yami replied shrugging.
Before Mrs. Moto could say anything else Yumi appeared at the steps. In addition to the black shirt and black cargo jeans she now had eye liner, a silky black choker with a silver skull hanging from it, her hair was straightened, a red wrist band on each arm one saying `I'm a naughty girl' and the other saying `white trash', her shirt this morning said in white writing `I'm a victim of parental supervision'.
“Let's go, you still have to meet up with your friends,” Yumi said playing with her bangs.
Yami nodded and walked towards the door with her. `Please don't let anyone recognize me this morning while I'm with her.'
“Uhm…Yumi at school…well is it okay if we pretend we don't know each other,” Yami said a little nervously.
Yumi opened the door and stepped outside. Although she didn't show it she was hurt by that comment.
“Why?” she asked finally as they rounded a corner.
“Well…my -”
“Reputation,” Yumi finished for him.
She sighed and the said, “Whatever I don't give a damn.”
Yami let out a sigh of relief. Little did he know that this was just the beginning of choices between his reputation and those he loves or at least those he cares for somewhat.
I close the book and you're glaring. You wonder how someone can do that to another person let alone their own sister. Sometimes people are just that ignorant…they care too much about what others think of them. Those people will not make it too far in life, usually. Reputation over your flesh and blood. You also ask me to explain the last line of the book. “or at least those he cares for somewhat”. Well…he hasn't seen or heard from his sister in a long time and although he cares for her at least a little bit they don't know each other that well. Oh well, that's enough for today. Until tomorrow.
AUTHORS BLAH BLAH
Mistress: Did you know I spent three days on this chapter trying to figure out how to write it. I wrote it three times before I was somewhat satisfied. I hope it came out right ^__^ The next chapter is supposed to be them at school, when Ryou shows Yumi around. And then the chapter after that is going to be lunch and Yami wondering what Yumi is doing with the outcasts, `cause he was thinking maybe if she got into a good group he could be more nice to her or get closer to telling people they were siblings or something like that. And the chapter after that is….well….I think going to be Yumi going over to Yugi's house with Ryou and Malik and them telling them what Yami is like in school and the general school rules.
The next update will not be coming for awhile, sorry. I just decided to post/write this to tell you guys. I was gone the entire weekend and have a huge list of hw to do. ( groan ) Anyway, that's basically my huge excuse. This affects all my stories so I'll try and update them too, but if you know someone who reads my stories and they don't know well…yeah…
Ooh and guess what, I got a half flame for two of my stories ( see Perfect and Miss S. ) and if you are one of my yu yu readers I have not given up on my stories I am just suffering a writers block. Yeah sorry about that…
I'm not sure when but I will notify you of it, we're going to move the comp. and stuff to the new house and they'll be last to be in so I may not update for a loooong time.
REVIEWS WILL GIVE ME MOTIVATION WHICH IN TURN WILL LEAD TO MORE CHAPTERS!
