Yu-Gi-Oh! Fan Fiction ❯ Crossing Magic ❯ Chapter Ten ( Chapter 10 )
Crossing Magic
A/N: Hey guys! I'm glad you all liked the chapter! =) Um…a few of you said it when from funny to serious. It might be doing that for a while. *sweatdrop* It's just my writing style I guess. Don't worry…it'll be a long chapter too! ^_____^ Please Review!
Disclaimer: I do not own Yu-Gi-Oh! but I do own this fanfiction and the shape-shifter from one of the previous chapters.
Note: There will be yuri AND yaoi in this chapter! MaixIshizu, MerikxMalik, and some RyouxBakura!
Mai dragged the CEO of the billon dollar company known as the Kaiba Corporations. The blonde woman was worried about her friend. And when she worried about a friend, her hunches about that person were almost always correct.
"Seto, the way Yugi has been acting…saying there is something wrong with Yami; I think Merik and his older sister know more about it than him. Do you think I should find out what in Enma's name they know?"
The cobalt-eyed teenager shrugged, stealing a glance at Yugi. "I don't know, Mai. See if you can get your girlfriend over there to tell you something. I'll try to make Merik spill it."
Mai sighed exasperatedly and nodded, her black heels clicking on the hard floor as she made her way over to Ishizu. Her royal purple eyes sparkled brightly and she placed a soft kiss on her lover's lips.
"Hon, I need to ask you something…"
Ishizu gave a small nod, inclining her head in question. "What is it?"
Mai hesitated. "Well…It's about Yami and Yugi. Do you know what's going on?"
Ishizu's cerulean eyes dimmed in sorrow, turning downcast. She nodded unhappily and felt tears run down her cheeks.
"Yes…My Great Pharaoh is…returning. He will once more reign over the desert sands of Egypt. Yugi will be brokenhearted when he finds out…and Pharaoh Yami may decide to punish his Light…"
Mai frown, softly cupping the other woman's face in her hands. "It's alright. We won't let anybody get hurt…please, tell me what you mean by punish."
Ishizu took in a shaky breath and leaned into her girlfriend's touch. "You see, he may hurt Yugi. If he did and went back to how he is as we know him; he'd never forgive himself."
Mai nodded in understanding. She placed another kiss on Ishizu's pliable lips and motioned for the two to go back to where the others were; as they had went to the girls' bathroom.
Seto had found the same information from Merik. The platinum-blonde had been bitter about it. He acted as if he didn't give a damn about what happened to his fellow hikari. The eldest Kaiba brother knew better though, as the male Egyptian would never allow something to happen to his comrades. He let out a small growl of frustration, but calmed as Mai stepped up to him.
"What did you learn?"
Mai shrugged, her lips turned down in a frown. She then told the teen what her lover had told her. Seto revealed he too had found the same information.
"So, should we tell Yugi?"
Mai's plum-colored eyes shone with curiosity and anxiety. She didn't think Yugi should know. He would get upset and maybe hurt trying to help his darker half. But the other side of her told the blonde she'd be better off telling the youthful duelist. The female shrugged off her conscience and awaited Seto's answer. She noted how he seemed to hesitate.
"Well…let's not tell him for now…"
Mai nodded and looked at her watch. Didn't they have Ancient Runes or something now?
"Hey, we have to go to Ancient Runes."
Seto nodded and looked at Ryou. The white-haired teenager no longer looked worried about Yugi. The teen was staring into space, eyebrows knitted together in confusion. Merik was the same way. They'd snuck into their yamis' soul rooms. Not only that though, but through the hidden doors into Yami's soul room.
The two were two were standing there, staring in disbelief. Yami was crying and on Bakura of all people! They had never seen the Pharaoh cry, or had they seen Bakura comfort somebody. Ryou stood there in stunned silence as Merik snickered as Malik stood there dumbly, not really understanding what to do. They backed out of Yami's soul room, upon seeing Bakura's anger at Malik not helping him in the slightest.
~*~*In the Boys' Dormitory*~*~
Yugi jumped as he felt somebody tap him on the shoulder. He whirled around; ending face to face with Harry Potter. The black-haired teen gave a small, apologetic grin.
"Sorry, about that. I saw you up here and wanted to know if you'd like to walk with me and my friends to Ancient Runes?"
Yugi gave a sheepish smile. "Ano…that'd be great; that is…if you don't mind…?"
Harry laughed. "Naw! It'd be great! Besides, my boyfriend will be with us too, and my friends hate him. We have to pretend we hate each other in front of the rest of the students."
Yugi nodded, actually knowing what he meant. "Yeah, I get it. You shouldn't mind what others think though, it just brings you down when it doesn't matter what everybody else thinks."
Harry nodded, suddenly curious. "Um…are you always full of this kind of advice?"
Yugi snorted. "Well, not always. I speak with experience. I've had a weird life. I've heard how everyone looks at you. I know what it's like to be different."
The green-eyed boy nodded. He felt delight build up in his stomach. He felt so happy to meet somebody else who had been different throughout his life. He grabbed Yugi's hand and pulled him down the stone stairs to where Hermione and Ron were waiting. Right as they were about to reach the pair, Harry stopped.
"Yugi? Can…we be friends?"
The violet-eyed teenager nodded eagerly. "Sure, and if you are my friend, you are already qualified to be my friends' friend!"
The two sniggered lightly and stepped beside the other two. Hermione looked cautious.
"Not meaning to be rude, but why are you here?"
Yugi smirked lightly. "Harry invited me to walk with you guys. You don't mind do you? He's my new tomodachi. Would you two like to be?"
Ron stared at Yugi like he had grown another head. "Wha' are ya sayin'? SPEAK ENGLISH BEFORE I KILL MYSELF!!!"
Hermione, Harry, and Yugi cracked up. Ever since Ron had met Viktor Krum, the teen with a weird accent, he despised foreign languages. The young Mutou blinked and the smile on his face suddenly disappeared.
"Uh…I wanted to know if you guys wanted to be friends with me like Harry…KUSO!!!"
The trio just stared at him. What was up with his sudden outburst? They didn't understand what was up with the strange teen.
"Uh…ya alrigh' mate?" Ron asked, confused.
Yugi blinked. "Sorry…I think I should tell you guys something…"
The three nodded, motioning for him to follow him out of the Gryffindor Common Room's Portrait Hole. He strode beside them, and then Draco, in a daze.
"You see, I am weirder than you think. I am a hikari. Hikaris are Light to our Darkness. Mine is Yami, he's the other half of my soul. Yami was an Egyptian Pharaoh from 5,000 years ago. He sealed himself in the Millennium Puzzle I wear around my neck. Later, I released him and we became close. We can communicate through telepathy now too…There are two other hikaris in this school. I don't know if they want their identities revealed, so I'm just not going to say anything."
The four nodded, surprised but not totally stunned. They had had their fair share of strange encounters. This was no exception. Draco was the first to say something.
"Well, we still think you should hang with us; no matter what's bizarre about you."
A/N: Okay…I know that was kind of strange. Oh well! *laughs* I'll have the next chapter up soon! ^_____^ Please Review!
NOTE TO READERS: There will probably be HarryxDraco yaoi in the next chapter, as well as MerikxMalik, RyouxBakura, and YamixYugi. The yamis will show up outside of their hikaris bodies too!!! YAY!!!! Darkness. =)
