Author: Yuugi's Sex Kitten

Warnings: shounen ai, shoujou ai, the usual

Plot Bunny: AU, inspired by "Without You" by Sarina Fannel. When everything gets too much for you, when people who claim to be your friends ignore you for so long, what do you do? This is the future, a world ruled by darkness. A world ruled by one Yuugi Mutou.

Yami Malik's Disclaimer: Kitten-sama does not own YuGiOu. It belongs to Kazuki Takahashi and other rich bastards. Bon Jovi owns the lyrics, "Everyday". She only owns the fic, me and nothing more.

Kitten's Forward Notes: I've decided to stop writing in P.O.V's cuz I know I suck at it. So the rest of the fic will be in normal P.O.V. I could only do Yuugi and Yami's because I already knew what I wanted them to be like. If you can't tell by the lyrics, this ones a rebellion chapter. Unfortunately, this will be the last one of this series. So take in the detail while you can.

On another note -- SOMEBODY GOT "AISHITERU, JUSTIN" TAKEN DOWN FROM FF.NET!!!! I WANNA KNOW WHO THE BASTARD IS!!! I SWEAR, SQUALL, IF THIS IS YOUR DOING AGAIN, I WILL SEND MY DRAGONS AFTER YOU!!!!! *has nearly every YuGiOu dragon backing her up* **glares**

"Everyday" -- Bon Jovi

I used to be the kind of guy

Who'd never let you look inside

Had to smile when I was cryin'

I had nothing but a life to loose

Thought I had a lot of proof

In my life, there's no denying

Goodbye to all my yesterdays

Goodbye, so long I'm on my way

I've had enough of cryin'

Bleedin', sweatin', dyin'

Hear me when I say gonna live my life everyday

I'm gonna touch the sky

Spread my wings and fly

I ain't here to play gonna live my life everyday

Strange, everybody's feelin' strange

Never gonna be the same makes you wonder how the world keeps turnin'

Life, learning how to live my life

Learnin' how to pick my fights

Take my shots while I'm still burnin'

Goodbye to all those rainy nights

Goodbye, so long, I'm moving on

I've had enough of cryin'

Bleedin', sweatin', dyin'

Hear me when I say gonna live my life everyday

I'm gonna touch the sky

Spread my wings and fly

I ain't here to play gonna live my life everyday

There ain't nothing gonna get in my way

Everyday

Goodbye, so long, I'm movin' on

I've had enough of cryin'

Bleedin', sweatin', dyin'

Hear me when I say gonna live my life everyday

I'm gonna touch the sky

Spread my wings and fly

I ain't here to play gonna live my life everyday

I, oh I, oh I, I'm gonna live my life everyday

I [gonna touch the sky], oh I [spread those wings and fly], oh I

I ain't here to play gonna live my life

Everyday

Rebecca caressed her child's soft blonde hair, rocking him to sleep and singing softly. The loud, obnoxious brat who had come to Domino City years ago to duel for a card she thought was rightfully hers had blossomed into a caring, motherly but sometimes bitchy woman. Mere hours ago she'd learnt that her husband had been captured by Pharaoh Yuugi's most loyal monsters and had ordered his Blue Eyes White Dragons to return home.

Who knew what fate had awaited her Mokuba-chan upon entry into that cursed citadel, a symbol of all the evil on the earth? It had been surprising to the rebellion that the second-famous Kaiba brother and a blonde spoilt brat had fallen for each other.

Now little Noa was perhaps the only thing she had left.

Rebecca brought out the card she still kept with her, even when she had been told the giver was the Pharaoh who ruled over them with cruelty and a grip of cold steel. The Ties of Friendship, a card she still believed gave her a link to Yuugi, the cold-hearted Pharaoh. Handing her child off to her faithful Shadow Ghoul, Rebecca left the children's chambers and into the hallways of the rebellion's underground hideout, combat boots clanking along the metal pathway. She smiled slightly as adults, children and monsters alike bowed respectively and continued their tasks. She never let the attention go to her head, not like it would have done in the past.

Mokuba believed their child to be the reincarnation of his long-deceased elder brother, a death he had never quite gotten over. She was told the two brothers had been close which was understandable since Seto had practically raised his otoutou after their parents died. Walking into a room and finding your only blood-relative dead because of someone you thought you could trust would be traumatizing. Mokuba-chan had been hell-bent on revenge and wanted baby Noa to grow up in a dictator-free world. It was true when they said he was defiantly a Kaiba. Kaibas never gave up on anything, no matter what the odds against them.

"Mistress Rebecca, is there something you wish of us?" asked a deep voice that broke her train of thought. She smiled up at Umi, the female Blue Eyes that stood apart from her brothers.

"Yes, I need your help for something rather dangerous." She brushed blonde bangs away from her eyes as she set about gathering the equipment she needed. This was going to be a mission where one person would be needed and only one. The dragons were going to drive the citadel guards away long enough for her to get in and rescue her husband.

This time it was Kaze, the second Blue Eyes, who spoke up. "Ask of us and we shall do the best we can to fulfill your wish." Rebecca hated the fact that they would only be used as decoys but she was sure they wanted revenge for their former master's death just like their current one did. A shadow monster and its human partner were one and the same feelings ran through their veins non-stop until the human partner was killed in battle.

"I sense you are worried about Mokuba-sama," Yama spoke, the eldest and wisest of the three dragon siblings. "You do realize that this will be a kamikaze mission, Mistress?"

"I know. But I'm willing to do anything to get him back," Rebecca answered, placing a utility belt around her waist. She looked into their soulful eyes. "If it includes dying for peace then so be it." She brought a polymerization disc[1] out of her pocket and the three dragons went silent as they became one. "You know what to do?"

"Yes, Mistress," rumbled the three voices as one. Rebecca pressed a button nearby, which opened a hatch to the city above. The ultimate dragon flew off while she hopped onto a hoverboard and the disc-like object took off towards the dark object on the horizon as the sun was setting, illuminating it in a holy glow that it didn't deserve.

There was a dark laugh as the Eye cut off communication with Rebecca's mind and Yuugi sat back on the silk-sheeted bed, toying with the ideas that flashed through his own. It was a pity the Eye couldn't see through the rebellion's underground home that was guarded with a strong light magic otherwise then there would be no pathetic weaklings to contend with. His hand ran through his pet slave's dirty hair, enjoying the shudder that passed through the ancient one. The cruel Pharaoh licked his lips in anticipation.

"Let her come try to rescue her little boy-toy," he hissed, a wicked gleam in his one eye. "I have something to show her, everyone." Yuugi glanced towards his favourite servants. "Collect little Mokuba from the dungeons and take him to the throne room." 'Shaadi......?'

"Yes, Pharaoh?" The sterility of the voice made him shiver a little; it was like a parent's voice warning their children not to do anything or when grounding their offspring.

'I offer myself as a sacrifice to renew the world but I want witnesses if you will.' He could almost sense the Guardian's smile.

"Of course. As you wish if you think that is necessary."

Slowly he turned to his favourite pet. "Yami, this is an order. Tell everyone within the castle to assemble in the throne room as it is most urgent."

Rebecca struggled violently against the guards that held her. Her mission hadn't gone as well as she'd hoped. She was flung savagely to the floor and warm arms engulfed her in a deep hug. "Bec-chan, you didn't have to come after me," Mokuba whispered into her pigtails, holding her as if she were a lifeline. "Our child is more important."

"How sickening," a voice murmured from the shadows. Rebecca looked up to see the entire castle's servants, monsters and slaves gathered in the throne room. The Pharaoh stood in the doorway of the central chamber, a grim look in his eyes. The American girl's eyes widened as she saw him raise the golden dagger in his hands. The murmuring and whispering stopped, the entire room staring in shock as tears rolled down their cold-hearted Pharaoh's cheeks and the dagger was plunged deep into the left side of his chest.

Right above his heart.

Yuugi's body slumped to the ground before disappearing in a flash of black light. "What you have witnessed is a selfless sacrifice," a warm voice stated in the shadows. The Egyptian Guardian stepped away from them, soulful blue eyes wandering the crowd of humans and monsters alike. Nothing more was said as everyone blanked out when he chanted a long-forgotten spell and the sacrifice began.

Owari......

Kitten's EndNotes: I'm sorry if that chapter sucked but I just had to get it finished. Sadly, this is the last of this series but a new one will be beginning if I get enough reviews that say yes. To check out a teaser, take a look at my fic "Lead Me On" and you'll understand. *sweatdrops* I soooo suck at writing fanfics......
