Konnichiwa!!!! Sorry for the delay. I know you all are dying to know about Sapphire's past and how she got the name Ruby Ishtar. So, here's chapter 3!!!

Previously on “Longing for Sapphire's Past Pt.1”

 

Sapphire smelled the same vampire blood that Malik smelled earlier and she couldn't have gone far. Therefore, she looked around and saw someone with a black trench coat. “That might be Mai!” she thought. She ran toward the person but all of a sudden, the mysterious person disappeared in an instant. “Damn!” she cursed loudly. Unfortunately, she sensed that the person ran into the alley. She ran towards the alley and saw the familiar face that she will never forget. She had blonde hair, purple eyes, and pale skin. She is wearing a tight black leather corset with silver chains, tight black leather mini skirt, and black knee high boots. She was wearing a black trench coat the Sapphire recognized. She hissed at Sapphire and asked in a harsh tone, “What are you doing here?!” “I might ask you the same thing!” yelled Sapphire. Mai got a good look at Sapphire and said, “Well, well, look who's finally alive.” “What do you mean by that?” “It would've been better if you stayed dead for all I care!” replied Mai. “What do you mean by that?” asked Sapphire. “You see… it all started when

you were born…” said Mai.

 

 

 

Ch. 3: Longing for Sapphire's Past Pt.2

 

 

“It all started when you were born in the year 1699. Isis Ishtar and Marik Ishtar were your mother and father” said Mai. “My mother and father were Isis and Marik Ishtar?” Sapphire asked. “Yes, in fact, you were raised as one of the deadliest vampire in the world” responded Mai. Sapphire fell onto her knees with her head hanging low. She started to cry as tears rolled down her cheeks rapidly. She couldn't speak or move. Malik was in shock too. He knew Isis and Marik before Isis past away and Marik killed by Mai Valentine.

 

 

*Flashback*

 

“Marik, it's a girl!!!” cried Isis. “A beautiful baby girl” replied Marik as he gave Isis a kiss. The baby started to wail as Isis held her in her arms. “What shall we name her?” asked Marik. “We'll name her Ruby. She will make one of the most feared vampires in the world to defeat the Valentines” said Isis. While Isis and Marik putting Ruby to sleep, Mai was watching through the window of a cabin. She felt her anger rising through her veins and swore upon the night sky. “Not even the Ishtars can defeat me but they're having the baby defeat me someday? Ha! That's pathetic!” said Mai as she turned to walk into the dark forest.

 

Soon, she was still angry of what she heard. “Isis, I swore upon the night of the full moon on Ruby's thirteenth birthday, it is the night that you'll be killed!!” yelled Mai as her eyes started to glow in a crimson color. She continued to walk in the dark forest before sunrise.

 

Isis was rocking Ruby to sleep as Marik was looking out of the window. He was looking at the full moon. It looked so bright yet peaceful. His moon shaped pendent started to glow in a blue aura. He felt that the vampire Mai Valentine was around here a moment ago. He was headed out to the door. “Marik, where are you going?” asked Isis. “I'm going to see if that wench Mai went” replied Mai. He headed outside walking towards the forest. He sensed her smell and she is not far from where he is now. He leaped into the air swiftly as he spread his cape. Mai sensed that someone was above her at that time. She started to run as quickly as she can while Marik was following her. She reached a dead end, nowhere to go now. Marik quickly landed on the ground and cornered her. “What were you doing near our cabin?!” Marik asked impatiently. Mai was shaking as first, but then she started to laugh mischievously. “Answer me woman!!” shouted Marik.

 

Mai suddenly stopped laughing. Then, her anger rose. “I found out that your child is going to kill me when she gets older. But that's not going to happen” stated Mai, “oh, it will on that day and soon you will die!” Mai felt a bit conceited about putting Isis to death on the thirteenth day of the full moon, but she's not an ordinary vampire, she was one of the

seductive Valentine vampires.

 

*the year 1712*

 

Thirteen years passed as Ruby was being trained by her mother. It was also Ruby's thirteenth birthday. She taught her of how to control her power as a vampire. “Ruby, you must be careful. Concentrate on your energy” said Isis. “Okay, mother” replied Ruby. Ruby was focusing on her demonic energy that surrounds her body with a light blue aura. Then, when she realized that, her aura was turning red because she sensed danger at the head of time. “What was that?” asked Isis. “I don't know… I sensed that a vampire is approaching here” said Ruby with concern.

 

The mysterious vampire was hiding behind the trees in the forest, waiting for the right moment to come out. Then, she saw Isis walking towards the forest. “Who's there? Come out!” shouted Isis as she is on her guard. Therefore, the vampire step out of the shadow and it was none other than the Valentine vampire Mai! “So, I see that your daughter sensed my energy. Someday she'll be one of us!” said Mai with a sneer. “My daughter will not join your vampire clan to be the pathetic Valentine bloodline!!” yelled Isis. Mai's grin soon faded. “Curse you, Ishtar!” screamed Mai as she lunges for Isis's neck, but missed.

 

Isis grabbed her by the wrist and kicked her in the stomach, causing her to stumble a few feet from her. Then, Mai lashed out and bit Isis in the arm. Blood trickled down her arm and Ruby saw the whole thing. “Mother!!” cried out Ruby, “Are you okay?” Isis groaned in pain and said, “Yes, now run away as far as you can.” “No! I want to stay beside you!” Ruby screamed as tears rolled down her burning cheeks. “This is interesting!” said Mai.

 

Marik came out of the cabin and saw Ruby and Isis. He sensed that his wife was wounded. He hurried towards the forest and his eyes were fixed on Mai. “How dare you, wench!” shouted Marik as he was about to strike Mai, but she trapped him inside a blue barrier. “That'll teach you! “Father!!” cried Ruby as she ran to free her father, but Mai attacked her and is knocked unconscious. “Ruby!!!!” cried both Isis and Marik. “Now, say your prayers, Isis!!” said Mai coldly. “Oh, I didn't tell you I left you paralyze, did I?” asked Mai. Isis couldn't move and her husband was shouting cries but she couldn't hear him.

 

Mai took out a silver curved dagger and plunged it into Isis's heart. Isis let out chocked cries and soon collapsed with blood sprawling onto the ground. Mai licked the blood off the dagger and felt that she's getting stronger. “Marik, you're next!” shouted Mai. She stabbed Marik multiple times until he was dead. Ruby soon awoke and what she saw was her dead mother and father lying on the ground. “MOTHER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! FATHER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!” screamed Ruby as she collapsed into tears. “How couldn't you! How dare…” she trailed of as Mai came close to her and stabbed her in the neck multiple times and a few seconds later, she was dead. Soon after, Mai quickly fled away.

 

At night, a funeral was in session by Malik Ishtar. He was holding back tears and everyone was sad, some were depressed and some were angry. A priest named Mahado ordered the pallbearers Yugi, Yami, Jounouchi, Otogi, Bakura and Ryou to carry one casket at a time to the burial site.

 

In the forest, Honda and Seto were set to kill Mai Valentine and bring her back to bury her. As soon as they saw the figure, they knew it was Mai and Seto plunged the stake into her heart. They carried her back to the burial site and Shadi

cast a spell that the vampire should be at rest for eternity. Soon, they buried her along with the spell that is cast upon her.

 

*End Flashback*

 

“That was how the whole thing happened” said Mai. “Also, there is more that I need to tell you about the revival of you and me.” Sapphire was still frozen and Malik felt his anger rising from is veins. “Tell us or else you die and never exist in this world again!” threatened Malik. “Threats don't care me! I'll tell you. About 5 years passed…”
