*Disclaimer, I don't own ygo! Thou I wish I did. Just an FYI, Samantha and another character talk in a language that Yami doesn't know nor any of the ygo characters just mine do. Some of it you need to know so… when you see this ~ around the words you know that the characters are speaking in that language.*

 

Chapter2

Strange things

 

The pharaoh sat peacefully on one of his balconies; his pet cheetah lay at his feet, and his priests waved palm branches over him as he looked out at his kingdom. The tranquility was suddenly shattered by a sudden scream that came from the city. The pharaoh leapt from his seat on the palace balcony and viewed over its railing for the source of the scream. His pet cheetah walked up and nudged at his hand. She had a strange human like intelligence, and as she turned toward the door, the pharaoh took the initiative to follow her.

 

“Pharaoh! What are you doing? Let the city guards take care of it!” one priest with short brown hair and blue eyes yelled after his king. But his words were not heard. He sighed. “Why dose he have to be 15? Our king is a child!”

“Well since his father died, it's law.” A younger sandy-white haired priest said. “Hurry we need to know where he's going.” He added running after the pharaoh.

 

The pharaoh followed the cheetah with difficulty, though she slowed her pace. Eventually the cheetah stopped and to the pharaohs horror he saw two people stabbed viciously to death and a deranged looking man over a whimpering child. She had already been attacked, her arm bleeding profusely. The man raised his dagger bringing it down quickly toward the child

 

The pharaoh ran forward and kicked the man in the back; he almost lost his balance, but kept it barely. He turned around to see the pharaoh. This man seemed to have no idea that he was the pharaoh. The man was a simple peasant; he seemed entranced, unaware of anything he was doing. Pharaoh hesitated, but soon tripped the commoner, knocking the sword out of his hands. Pharaoh sprinted to grab the blade. Only then did he realize that the man had another weapon, a smaller dagger. He slashed it at pharaoh, cutting his hand. Pharaoh jumped back. The man stood, staggering towards the child; he drove the blade swiftly towards her.

 

It was so sudden. Pharaoh drove the sword into the man's back before the blade reached the sobbing girl. After the chaos was over he walked to her. She looked up in surprise.

 

“Pharaoh!” she panicked, the girl hadn't seen his face till now. “Th—thank yo- ah” she tried to bow but slipped on her badly injured arm. She whimpered; tears and blood covered the ground.

 

“Don't worry. You don't need to bow.” Pharaoh smiled. He put his uninjured hand on the child's' cheek softly and lifted her head to see her face… piercing, dark blue eyes met his.

 

Yami sat up quickly. `Those eyes…' Yami thought. They look so familiar but from where? This is the same dream he had before he met Samantha, but it had more detail. Now it felt more familiar then last time, yet somehow it was still distant. He recognized the two priests, one was Kiba and the other was Marrick. But Yami has seen them in dreams before, so that was nothing new. But he didn't recognize the cheetah or the man, the two dead people were a complete blank, but he felt as though he's met this girl before… in this time.

 

Yami appeared out of his soul room, and into Yugis' room, who was fast asleep. The alarm clock said 12:28. Yami sighed. He walked to the window and looked out at the stars. He could see one of Samantha's windows across from his. That's when he heard an alarm clock go off.

 

The curtains in the window across from him were slightly open. Yami could see Samantha walk past. `That must be her room' Yami assumed. She was wearing a thin silky pale-blue p-j shirt with pants to match; they accented her features quite well… then Yamis' heart skipped several beats when Samantha changed into jeans and a tank top.

 

Samantha left her room and a few minutes later she shut her front door closed behind her. Yami sat up quickly and put on a pair of jeans. He planed to follow her. `What could she be doing at 12:30 in the morning?' he thought to him self as he snuck out the door and after Samantha. She unknowingly led Yami all the way across town, through the city park into the forest area beyond.

 

She finally came to a clearing in the trees and stopped. Yami hid behind a tree in the shadows, peering around its dark trunk to see Samantha. She pulled a necklace out from under her shirt, Yami couldn't see the object hanging on the chain at first, but then it started to glow and he could make out that it was a gold object about 2 inches long. He felt his own jewel shudder against his chest, it too had begun glowing.

 

Samantha paced back and forth, mumbling hurriedly in a language that Yami has never heard before. Then a gust of wind followed by a soft thud… a creature unlike anything else landed in front of Samantha. Yamis jaw dropped.

 

The creature seemed to be a tiger of some kind, its body structure alone proved that. She was black, with white tiger-like strips all over her body, her tail though, was strange… black and white diamond shaped marking, surrounded in the opposite color shaped in an almost perfect rectangle. Each white diamond had a black circle in the middle. A white marking that looked like the half of a heart, sat at the tip of her tail. Her face had a white marking that almost looked like a mask. One other odd marking was around her neck, it clearly resembled fire. But a marking resembling fire was easily over looked by actual fire; like a mane, fire streamed down her neck and ran down till it engulfed most of the cat's tail, only the sides of its tail were visible. Almost like a blade on the tip of a dragon's tail but turned vertical, fire also consumed her chest, and all 4 of her ankles. Of course this is the oddest aspect of this creature, but she also had massive silver wings. (Obviously since she flew down to Samantha) she has shimmering blue eyes and Yami could barley see golden fangs on the sides of her mouth. And the strangest thing was a jewel on her forehead; it was probably 3 inches long and 1
