"There are quite a few guards on the outside..." Kaiba began, as he drew an imaginary line with a map. "This part shouldn't be a problem for either of us."
"Right." I replied. "I think that should be the easy part. But the inside with all the traps he probably has set up is going to be the difficult process...." I then took out all these weapons and held them in my arms.
"I say we bring out the heavy artillery!" I said. Kaiba had a sweatdrop on his head, but he let out a small cough and continued.
"Um...we don't need all of that stuff.." He said. "Just us will be good enough for it."
"......Are you sure about that?" I asked
"Well, not with just you two..." A voice said coming from behind us. We turned around to find that Yugi and co. were there.
"What are you guys still doing here?" I asked.
"Well, we figured we could be in on this whole thing and help ya out a little, seeing as though you might need it." Jounouchi smiled. "So, what's our goal?"
"I don't care how we do this...as long as we get Mokuba back." Kaiba said, looking down at the map.
"No, no, no, no....When I say, 'what's our goal?', you say, 'Victory!'" Jounouchi said. The whole group was silent. He then looked around with a sweatdrop.
"....OKAY.......When I say that, that means you guys act dumbfounded and go 'Victory? You're serious?' and then I'd nod my head, and then you guys all cheer and tell me how I should be the leader of this whole operation...." Jounouchi explained. Everyone continued the silence, but then Hiroto pushed him out of the room and into the next.
"You know..you gotta lay off those video games, Jounouchi..." He said.
"Aww, C'MON! It worked for Tidus! WHY CAN'T IT WORK FOR ME??"
"Because you're a lost cause.......There's a difference between you two.."
"Hey, that's LOW!" Jounouchi said, in outrage. They finally were at the point where you couldn't see or hear them anymore and they returned to the map once more.
"I'm figuring if we avoid the guards both outside and inside, this shouldn't be that much of a problem." Kaiba continued. "Let's get going now while it's still dark. It makes it harder for the guards to spot us."
"All right. Let's go."

"Kai ba is on his way here, sir." Kemo said as he walked into Pegasus' room. He sat back in his seat, knowing the report, but letting him go ahead with it.
"And I assume Ms. Grayson is with him, yes?"
"Yes sir..and Yugi Moto and his group."
"Good..." Pegasus grinned. "Everything is going according to plan....Though it took a little longer than I had expected, but they're still coming here."
"Shall I set up tight security for them, sir?" Kemo asked.
"Yes, please. Make it as tight as possible...I want this to be as entertaining as possible..."
"...Um......Yes sir." Kemo said and walked out.

"Ho w much farther is it, Seto?" I asked, while we continued to walk.
"It shouldn't be that much longer..." He replied.
"YEAH RIGHT!" Jounouchi shouted from the back. "YOU MUSTA SAID DAT LIKE AN HOUR AGO!! DO YOU EVEN KNOW WHERE YOU'RE GOING??? Geez.....I could find where we're going AND I DON'T EVEN KNOW WHERE THIS PLACE IS!"
"Can it, Chiwawa.." Kaiba scoffed. "You couldn't find yourself in a mirror, let alone finding this place...So I'd shut up, if I were you."
"WHAT'D U CALL ME????"
"Easy, Jounouchi!" Anzu said, trying to hold him back with Hiroto and Bakura. I looked at Jounouchi and then back at Kaiba, who just continued onward. His facial expression never changed since we left the hotel, and it was just something that didn't seem right to me.
"......Kaiba?" I finally spoke out in a soft tone. It seemed that I couldn't get it to go any louder for some odd reason. He then turned to me with the continued expression.
"What is it?" He asked. I then looked down.
"Nevermind.." I said. Just then I felt a bad windchill. I could see that Kaiba felt it too. Those sense we were trained for back in the day have finally come to some use. We both stopped.
"What's wrong with you two?" Yugi asked.
"Somethings' here...." Kaiba replied. "....or SOMEONE." Everyone froze in their own tracks and looked around. There was nothing around, and no sounds to shake the suspicion.
"But...there's nothing here..." Jounouchi said, looking around.
"Oh, no....there's something here....we're just not looking hard enough." I said. She then felt something grab her by the ankle and I let out a small scream in surprise. Everyone looked back at me, when I did, and I then fell to the ground, being dragged away.
"Dawn!" Jounouchi said as he went to go help me. He grabbed me by the hand and held on.
"W-what is that??" Anzu asked.
"Damn! This thing is STRONG!" Jounouchi said, holding onto Dawn' hand, while he began to skid with her. Kaiba then went to help her by holding the other hand.
"Krgh.............!" I felt like I was going to be ripped apart. "Kaiba, JOUNOUCHI! LET GO OF ME ALREADY!"
"What?!" Jounouchi asked.
"Just do it!" I said. They finally let go, and to turn on my side of the leg being dragged. I then used all the strength in my other leg to see if there was anything was there by kicking it...WELL THERE WAS....I could feel that I MIGHT of hit a face but I wasn't sure. It hurt though...that's what was going more through my mind for my throbbing foot. However, the invisible figure finally let go, and was revealed. It was one of Pegasus' guards!
"Pegasus must already be expecting us..!" Yugi said. Just then there were more guards coming out of the bushes.
"So the toymaker finally sends us some toys to play with..." Kaiba said with a small grin.
"I say we break em' apart piece by piece....." Jounouchi added, also grinning. He then got into a fighting stance. The guards were the ones to make their first move. They came charging at us, and started to attack. I blocked one guard's attack, and then threw him to the side while I started to fight with another. Jounouchi punched his way through, while Kaiba just seemed to be enjoying himself as he attacked them. He threw a few down on their backs effortlessly, and continued on with attacking some more. His speed was just surpassing all of them. Just then one pointed a gun at Yugi, and Jounouchi saw it.
"Yugi! Get outta the way!" He said and then quickly pushed Yugi out of the way, and then dodged to the other side to avoid the bullet. I came in and used a sidekick to knock the wind out of him, following up with snapping his arm backwards. However that didn't stop him from being able to take me by the wrist, and then have two others come in and held me.
"Let go of me! You'll be sorry!"
"Look, the princess has a rather large mouth on her....." One of them chuckled.
"Stay away from her!" Kaiba said, but then was tackled from the side into the ground.
"You have sucha cute face, kid." He said as he held me on my chin, but I tried to move it away. "Too bad it won't be around for long......" Just then, I felt something sharp ping in my brain. It hurt so much, and yet it brought around some familiar feelings....there it is again, I thought. Stop! Don't start on me again! Please! Just then I created a pathway in front of me that was nothing but destruction. All the guards that were there had been ripped apart, limb from limb, The man that held me was shot back twenty feet to be away from me. Everyone looked at me in surprise. They noticed something different however. My hair had changed from a brunette color to black and red ends. I was not the same...
"Dawn??" Bakura said as he looked at the person he thought was once me.
"Dawn has gone to sleep. I am now in her place....and my name is Midnight." She said in a calm tone.
"Midnight....?" Yugi repeated. "But what happened to Dawn? Why did she go to sleep?"
"I cannot tell you why things happen, my dear pharoah, but what I can tell you is that the evil presence that has confronted me must be stopped." Midnight replied.
"Pharoah??" Yugi began.
"Why did she call Yugi a PHAROAH??" Hiroto asked.
"There's no time to discuss any of this. I must go now." She said as she began to walk, but then Kaiba got in front of her.
"Hold it right there..." He began. Midnight just stopped, surprised over his familiar face. "Bring back Dawn right this instant!"
"It's you....!" She said. Kaiba then gave her a confused look on his face.
"Huh?" He said.
"My dear priest.....! I can't believe it's you after all these years..."
"PRIEST?? That fool??" Jounouchi asked, but only to be hit on the head by Kaiba.
"My dear priest.....I do not want to bring Dawn out...this is something that I must continue in her place. I know she will not be strong enough to face her advisery alone."
"But-! We need her!" Kaiba replied to her. Just then, a jolts of electricity were sent through all of their bodies. The pain was so intense, that they couldn't stand it anymore and that made them all pass out. Not to far away was Kemo, watching the whole thing. He had implanted some special devices, so he could set a perfect trap for them....and it worked.

"So is that her?" One voice asked.
Voices.........I thought. What's going on?
"Yeah...The boss says once he's ready, we have to bring her to him." Another replied.
The boss?.............They must mean Pegasus...Then that means we're inside.......Not exactly the most graceful way of doing things, but sure....I continued to think.
"We better go report to him and let him know that we're ready to bring them up..." The first person said. I could hear the footsteps as they became fainter, until they were finally gone. I slowly opened my eyes to find that I was locked in a dark cell.
"You're finally awake..." A voice said. I turned around to see that it was Kaiba sitting in the corner, watching. "And back to your old self, I can see."
"What are you talking about?" I asked. "What do you mean old self? Was there something about me that wasn't right?"
"Oh, there was definitely something wrong. You changed into some other person that called herself Midnight. Your hair changed from brown to black and red at like an instant. And she called me by the name of 'Priest' and Yugi 'Pharoah'...it made no sense." Kaiba explained.
"Hm. That's quite strange." I said. "Maybe it has something to do with my Millennium item."
"Maybe..." Kaiba said. "Whoever OR whatever it is, hopefully it can help us in the long run. But...."
"'But'? But what?" I asked, but he never answered me. The two guards finally came back and looked at the both of us.
"Well...It seems like the princess is finally awake." The one said as he opened the door. "We're gonna be taking you to see Master Pegasus."
"We don't need an escort." I retorted. I tried making my way past him, and all he did was shove me back to the ground. I was feeling weak, probably from whatever happened to me before I blackened out.
"Don't bother to even TRY and fight us...You're still too weak to even do anything at this point. If you wanted to fight...you'd end up dead."
"......If you want to take a shot at me when I'm at sucha weak state, you're just nothing but a coward-!" I said in a low tone, but then was slapped in the face. I fell back to the ground and held my cheek. Kaiba ran over to me and held me up.
"That will be enough from that mouth of yours!" He shouted.
"...And you hit like a girl..." I added. The guard didn't respond to the comment.
"You take the brat with the large mouth." He ordered. "I'll take Mr. Kaiba."

"Man, this SUCKS!!" Jounouchi said as he kicked the bars in anger.
"Calm down, Jounouchi." Yugi said. "We'll get out of here soon....we just have to think of a plan as to HOW we're getting out..."
"That's not what I'm mad about!" Jounouchi snapped. Everyone looked at him strangely.
"Then what are you so mad about?" Anzu asked.
"Of all the positions to be in, KAIBA ended up with Dawn probably in the same room! Why couldn't it be ME for once....he's the idiot that ALWAYS gets the breaks! It's not fair!" Jounouchi said as he flailed his arms and legs. The rest of the group was with a sweatdrop and sighed.
"Jounouchi, you truly are hopeless...." Bakura said.

We were heading our way into Pegasus' room. It seemed like the closer we got, I could notice that Kaiba looked uncomfortable with something. Of course he would. We were about to confront Pegasus. But instead of having some kind of nervous look on his face, it showed guilt of something. I couldn't seem to figure out why, but I just didn't bother with it. But I could see he wasn't struggling with the grip of the guard that was holding him. Was it apart of a plan that he hasn't told me? I wasn't too sure about it...not that I have been lately...The guards opened the doors for us, and we were pushed into the room. Pegasus wasn't around to be seen.
"Where's Pegasus?" I asked.
"He's coming. Be sure to be on your best behavior, kid." The one guard said.
"Oh, I will act just a little perfect princess for him...Feh....Ya right. In a million years I'd be nice to that sonofa-" I began in a sarcastic tone. I was then pushed forward.
"Dawn....." Kaiba said in a low tone.
"Well, well, well...." Pegasus said as he walked into the room. I gave him a low glare, and said nothing to him. "You did a fine job, Kaiba.....I'd expect no less from you to do something in order to GET something....Even at the cost of a loved one's life."
"....." Kaiba turned away from him when I looked over at him.
"I must admit that does seem rather cruel, but then again, this is Dawn Grayson: the girl whom contains the Millennium Heart....one in which I shall have." Pegasus continued, and then turned to me. "If you can give up that Millennium item of yours, you'd be freeing your soul from the pain and sorrow it has been carrying as a burden. Allow yourself to be free and live a normal life, Dawn. I'm only trying to help you."
"Bull shit....." I said in a low tone. "I'm not stupid....I know the cost of removing the Millennium item. In removing it, my life happens to go along with it. So it wouldn't mean I could live a life at all........This is my burden. One in which I intend to keep, no matter how sorrowful it is."
"Foolish child." Pegasus said. "You'd be able to not have to worry about it...why do you struggle with me on it?"
"Because it's my LIFE!" I snapped. Pegasus was silent. Kaiba looked over at me, while I just gave my angry look.
"Very well then, Ms. Grayson...." Pegasus said. "You leave me no choice in the matter. Kaiba, come here now..." Kaiba was silent, and then was suddenly pushed before Pegasus from a guard that was behind him. I was completely surprised that he practically LISTENED.
"Kaiba!" I said but then I was pushed down to my knees by the guard that held me tightly. Pegasus walked over to him and then gave him something. I couldn't see it from where I was, but of course, nothing at this point was ever going to be good. Kaiba lowered his head and closed his eyes, taking in a deep breath. He then turned back to me and then gave me the most pitiful look. I was confused and yet scared that the same time. He then raised his hand and then pointed the object at me....which happened to be a gun.
I was surprised. I didn't know what to think or what to do first.....Everything in my mind was shattering before me. Kaiba's hand with the gun was shaking, but his unemotional expression never changed.
"Dawn...." He began. "I hope that you can forgive me....for everything. If you can't seem to, then I understand."
"What are you doing?! Are you nuts?? WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON IN THAT THICK-HEAD OF YOURS???" I asked. "I thought we were in this together! Why did you backstab me??" Kaiba then closed his eyes.
"Feh....you thought wrong of me...." He replied. "Dawn....I am so sorry......" And with that, he closed his eyes, and targeted where he wanted to hit me.

"We don't need an escort." I retorted. I tried making my way past him, and all he did was shove me back to the ground. I was feeling weak, probably from whatever happened to me before I blackened out.
"Don't bother to even TRY and fight us...You're still too weak to even do anything at this point. If you wanted to fight...you'd end up dead."
"......If you want to take a shot at me when I'm at sucha weak state, you're just nothing but a coward-!" I said in a low tone, but then was slapped in the face. I fell back to the ground and held my cheek. Kaiba ran over to me and held me up.
"That will be enough from that mouth of yours!" He shouted.
"...And you hit like a girl..." I added. The guard didn't respond to the comment.
"You take the brat with the large mouth." He ordered. "I'll take Mr. Kaiba."

"Man, this SUCKS!!" Jounouchi said as he kicked the bars in anger.
"Calm down, Jounouchi." Yugi said. "We'll get out of here soon....we just have to think of a plan as to HOW we're getting out..."
"That's not what I'm mad about!" Jounouchi snapped. Everyone looked at him strangely.
"Then what are you so mad about?" Anzu asked.
"Of all the positions to be in, KAIBA ended up with Dawn probably in the same room! Why couldn't it be ME for once....he's the idiot that ALWAYS gets the breaks! It's not fair!" Jounouchi said as he flailed his arms and legs. The rest of the group was with a sweatdrop and sighed.
"Jounouchi, you truly are hopeless...." Bakura said.

We were heading our way into Pegasus' room. It seemed like the closer we got, I could notice that Kaiba looked uncomfortable with something. Of course he would. We were about to confront Pegasus. But instead of having some kind of nervous look on his face, it showed guilt of something. I couldn't seem to figure out why, but I just didn't bother with it. But I could see he wasn't struggling with the grip of the guard that was holding him. Was it apart of a plan that he hasn't told me? I wasn't too sure about it...not that I have been lately...The guards opened the doors for us, and we were pushed into the room. Pegasus wasn't around to be seen.
"Where's Pegasus?" I asked.
"He's coming. Be sure to be on your best behavior, kid." The one guard said.
"Oh, I will act just a little perfect princess for him...Feh....Ya right. In a million years I'd be nice to that sonofa-" I began in a sarcastic tone. I was then pushed forward.
"Dawn....." Kaiba said in a low tone.
"Well, well, well...." Pegasus said as he walked into the room. I gave him a low glare, and said nothing to him. "You did a fine job, Kaiba.....I'd expect no less from you to do something in order to GET something....Even at the cost of a loved one's life."
"....." Kaiba turned away from him when I looked over at him.
"I must admit that does seem rather cruel, but then again, this is Dawn Grayson: the girl whom contains the Millennium Heart....one in which I shall have." Pegasus continued, and then turned to me. "If you can give up that Millennium item of yours, you'd be freeing your soul from the pain and sorrow it has been carrying as a burden. Allow yourself to be free and live a normal life, Dawn. I'm only trying to help you."
"Bull shit....." I said in a low tone. "I'm not stupid....I know the cost of removing the Millennium item. In removing it, my life happens to go along with it. So it wouldn't mean I could live a life at all........This is my burden. One in which I intend to keep, no matter how sorrowful it is."
"Foolish child." Pegasus said. "You'd be able to not have to worry about it...why do you struggle with me on it?"
"Because it's my LIFE!" I snapped. Pegasus was silent. Kaiba looked over at me, while I just gave my angry look.
"Very well then, Ms. Grayson...." Pegasus said. "You leave me no choice in the matter. Kaiba, come here now..." Kaiba was silent, and then was suddenly pushed before Pegasus from a guard that was behind him. I was completely surprised that he practically LISTENED.
"Kaiba!" I said but then I was pushed down to my knees by the guard that held me tightly. Pegasus walked over to him and then gave him something. I couldn't see it from where I was, but of course, nothing at this point was ever going to be good. Kaiba lowered his head and closed his eyes, taking in a deep breath. He then turned back to me and then gave me the most pitiful look. I was confused and yet scared that the same time. He then raised his hand and then pointed the object at me....which happened to be a gun.
I was surprised. I didn't know what to think or what to do first.....Everything in my mind was shattering before me. Kaiba's hand with the gun was shaking, but his unemotional expression never changed.
"Dawn...." He began. "I hope that you can forgive me....for everything. If you can't seem to, then I understand."
"What are you doing?! Are you nuts?? WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON IN THAT THICK-HEAD OF YOURS???" I asked. "I thought we were in this together! Why did you backstab me??" Kaiba then closed his eyes.
"Feh....you thought wrong of me...." He replied. "Dawn....I am so sorry......" And with that, he closed his eyes, and targeted where he wanted to hit me.
