Don't Give Up

Part two

Yugi sat looking at his reflection in the cup of mint tea; the evince of last night playing in his head. Sure they would argue but nothing serious; and Jonouchi never told him to leave or gave him the pleading look to tell him to leave. Anzu walked to the sofa with a sad look on her face; she never seen Yugi like this.

"What's wrong, Yugi?" She asked sitting next to him putting her own cup of tea on the table.

"It's Jonouchi .... the way he looked at me ...."

"Come on," Anzu said trying to smile, "he's been through a lot, going through a divorce, trying to save his sister from coming blind ..."

"I know. It's just that ... when he looked at me ... it was like he didn't want me to be close to him ..." the smaller boy responded as his expression changed dark.

"You really care about him don't you." She asked then bit her lip when she saw him shrank, "Yugi, there's nothing to be afraid of ..."

" ... It's not that I'm afraid ... it's being rejected ...."

"I highly doubt that he'll do no such thing," Anzu smiled putting her hand on his shoulder, "he really cares about you. And I'm sure if you go to him right now and tell him ... that would make him feel a whole lot better ..."

Jonouchi laid in the hospital bed closing his eyes when he heard rustling of fabric. He opened his eyes to see Yugi standing there with concern in his eyes.

"Uh ... you don't mind if I sick around, do you?"

Jonouchi sighed, "Yugi ... about yesterday ... I didn't mean to make it sound like it did ..."

"It's okay ... I must've looked like a total wimp back there ..." the smaller boy said trying to chuckle.

Jonouchi just smiled at the other boy as their eyes locked. Yugi leaned closer and they their lips met ... soft and warm. The shorter boy was the first to pull away with fear in his eyes.

"Jonouchi .. I ... I'm sorry ..."

He turned and was about to walk away when felt the other boys hand grab his wrist gently. Yugi turned his head but kept his eyes down so he wouldn't see the hate or disgust on the other boys face.

"I didn't mean to kiss you ..."

" ... I never been kissed before ... and I ... well ... I sort of like it."

Yugi looked up at him with shock in his eyes as the other boy smiled at him. The smaller boy felt a little shaky wondering if he was dreaming or awake.

"Jonouchi … I … I should go …."

"Yugi … please … I like you too …!"

The smaller boy was looking at him this time with great shock on his eyes that changed to joy.

"Do you really ….?"

"I said it didn't I …"

"Thank you, Jonouchi …. that means a lot to me," Yugi said stepping closer.

"Then kiss me."

Yugi laid in his bed looking at the Millennium puzzle softly. Thank you for giving me such great friends and someone very special. Then kiss me. The smaller boy leans in and their lips met. This one even felt more special than the last one making it feel more right then wrong. I love you Yugi … I love you too. That was all that needed to be said ....

"Wake up lover boy so we can pick Jonouchi up from the hospital." Anzu said knocking on the door softly.

"Coming!"

He got out of bed walked over to the mirror looking himself over. He wanted to look perfect for his Koi. With a pleasing look he walked out as Anzu turned to see a slight glow on his.

"Well, you look like all smiles today."

"Well ... I ..."

"You told him?"

"I did ..."

"And ....?"

"He felt the same way!"

Anzu beamed. "I'm glad that he knows ... now he doesn't have to be afraid of you ..."

"Why would he be afraid of me? I would never hurt him ..."

"I don't know ... but we better hurry ..."

Yugi wheeled him out to the car and helped him in. Once they where in the car the smaller boy put his arm around his koi arm gently and didn't let go until they got back to his apartment.

Once at the apartment, Yugi helped him out being very gentle as the others helped too unawares of some kids watching with disgust on their faces when they saw something in both of their eyes ... love.

"What are we going to do know ..." One of them asked.

"We'll teach that little runt a lesson he'll never forget!" Said another looking at Jonouchi.

Oh no! It looks like the boys who beat Jonouchi up are not done yet ... This story may turn into rated R but I'm not sure.
