Yu-Gi-Oh! Fan Fiction ❯ Double Identity ❯ Part II Begin ( Chapter 21 )
(Meira: … Maybe I should take a break… I've been writing way too much…
Yami: Damn right.
Meira: -_- And I was under the impression that Pharaohs didn't curse…
Yami: Nope! I have a good one to put in my tomb. It's a giant human eating monster!
Meira: A cannibal?
Yami: …
Meira: Anyways… I don't own Yu-Gi-Oh, Saéka Mizuki, Kai Hiwatari, or Riruka Takahashi. GLTB (kurama-ish-mine [That's right! Ish, not is!]) owns Saéka and Riruka, I'm just writing with them in this story!)
~~Saéka's POV~~
I sat there, waiting at the café.
Damnit… he was supposed to be here by now.
He appeared around the corner.
"Kai!" I shouted.
He came up to me.
"What's up?" he smiled.
I carefully avoided his eyes.
"Oh, the usual," I said, putting a happiness that I didn't feel into my voice.
Kai smiled at me.
I smiled back, my eyes cast downward.
"Kai… I need to ask you something…"

"Kaiba," I said coldly, sitting down at his desk.
"I assume you got my message?" he asked, turning around to face me.
"Yes," I said shortly. "I met with him today."
"Then you won't mind meeting with somebody else too," he said.
I clenched my fists.
"Just because I agreed to help you doesn't mean that I'll be your slave," I said through gritted teeth.
"But you agreed," he smirked.
"Tell me," I said, ignoring his comment. "Who exactly do you want me to meet this time?"
Kaiba smirked.
Mokuba stuck his head into the door. "Seto-"
"I'm in the middle of something here," Kaiba said shortly.
Mokuba glanced at me and went out the door.
Damnit… I had to face Kaiba alone again.
I glared at Kaiba.
"You know that glaring at me will get us nowhere. We only have two weeks left."
"And you dragged me in here."
I felt hatred surge through me.
"Well, you know who's at stake."
"I know perfectly well."
"I want you to go and meet him at two o' clock today, at the Domino Café."
"Why can't you go?"
"Because I'm too prominent. He'll realize it's me immediately."
"Wear sunglasses."
Kaiba glared at me.
"Now," he continued. "I suggest you go now. I have work to do."
"You took up this!" I shouted, slamming my fist down onto his desk. "Why did you ask me to help you with this?"
"Because I knew that you would help me," he replied. "You know just as well as I what we're doing."
"Not exactly. You haven't told me much at all."
"But you know him the best. I needed you to help me out with this."
I glared at him.
"Go," he said quietly. "You'll need as much time as you can get."
I stalked out of his office.
***
I sat at the Domino Café, tapping my foot impatiently.
That guy should have been here ten minutes ago…
"Hey," a voice said behind me. I turned around to see a guy standing behind me.
"Hello," I said, as politely as I could.
"My name is Lucas," he said, sitting down.
Lucas…
I gave him the sweetest, most dangerous and poisonous smile that I could come up with.
"I'm Leila…"
(Meira: SHIT!
Yami: What is it this time?
Meira: THIS IS SUCH A SHORT, SHORT, SHORT, SHORT, SHORT, SHORT, SHORT, SHORT, SHORT, CRAPPY CHAPTER!
Yami: You'll be able to make it longer, won't you?
Meira: Not if I want to change it… and this was such the perfect place to cut it off.
Yami: You realize that that'll make the next chapter harder to start, right?
Meira: I'm willing to take that chance… I love cliffhangers.
Yami: You mind telling me what's going to happen?
Meira: Nope. You'll just have to wait along with everybody else!
Yami: -_- Those of you who want to keep on reading this story, REVIEW SO MEIRA WILL GET OVER HER `WRITING BREAK' AND KEEP ON WRITING!
