The Panasonic Princess
Chapter three:
Mixture
*
I took your picture with one particular
Reason and it's to capture your character (really?)
I like to sit and stare at you
Ain't nothin' wrong with staring at you
Don't get scared at the fact the fact that I envision us getting married
And, uh (yeah?)
I ain't tryin' to rush nothin'
`Cause I ain't rushin' (heh, I know)
We can take our time like-
What's them things that move slow, you know, them-damn
I can't think, `cause you're on my mind
And when you're on my mind, I can't find
Anything that rhymes with the word rhyme
I gotta rhyme "rhyme" with mixture (heh heh)
And speakin' of mixture
With you, I wanna be mixed up
I'm a record and you're like a record
So let's let the DJ mix us…

It was eight o'clock the next day when Yami finally returned home to find his hikari in the kitchen making breakfast. He slid into the chair at the kitchen table, lying his head down. He and Bakura had gone out drinking last night, and his entire head hurt. He just wanted to sleep, but he wasn't sure if he'd even make it up the stairs…
"Here, Yami, drink this," Yugi said as he plunked down a cup of what appeared to be coffee in front of him, "Where did you sleep last night?"
"Motel."
"The usual one?"
"Yeah."
"Hungry?"
"Not really, but I'll eat anyway."
"What do you want?"
"Eh… anything is fine. I won't taste it."
"Hangover?"
"Yeah."
It was their morning routine. The conversation rarely varied, as Yami and Bakura usually did the same thing every night. He'd come home in the morning with a hangover, Yugi would get him coffee and make him breakfast, and they'd talk about what they did the night before. It was a habit that Yami was glad existed.
He was tempted to skew from the norm today, however, and ask Yugi whether or not the hikari was going completely out of his mind.
He hadn't heard the conversation the previous day between Marik and Yugi, but seeing them kiss made it clear what they were talking about. Yami had been prepared to go out there and rip Marik's head clean off his shoulders, but he'd suddenly remembered his and Bakura's conversation from that morning. Maybe he was a little overprotective. Yugi was free to be with whomever he chose, even if Yami didn't agree. And Marik really wasn't that bad as of late…
But if Yami ever saw even one hair on his hikari's head out of place, there would be hell to pay and blood to shed.
He didn't like it, but he knew that's how it was meant to be. As much as he loved his hikari, he had to let Yugi be his own person. Hell, Yami wasn't even supposed to exist.
But I do exist. And I am in love.
No matter how much he wanted it to be otherwise, he was still madly in love with his hikari. Ever since the teen had put that last piece in the Puzzle, he'd been in love. He'd hidden it, of course, but it was becoming more difficult to do so. It was starting to drive him insane.
"So, what did you do last night?" Yugi asked, setting a plate down in front of him.
"The usual. We went to the club, had some drinks, went and got a room… nothing really interesting happened. How about you?"
"Oh, I watched some movies and went to bed. There wasn't much to do."
"You know, there's this thing at the club tonight. You wanna go?"
"You want me to go?"
That smile always seemed to make Yami go weak at the knees. He just wanted to throw his arms around that slim, lithe waist, and tell Yugi just how much he was loved…
"Well… you always seem to stay home. It's Saturday. You should come out with us."
Yugi smiled brightly.
My beautiful hikari…
"That sounds nice. I think I'll go. What time are you leaving?"
"Around nine. Wear something nice."
Yami smiled as his hikari nodded. He was determined now-if Marik wanted Yugi, then he'd just have to fight for him.
He will be mine. Even if I have to kill that darkness wannabe, I'll have Yugi sleeping next to me tonight...

Marik growled as his hikari threw various articles of clothing out of his closet and onto the floor of his bedroom. It was eight o'clock, and the sun had just dipped beneath the horizon. Marik had been in the middle of a wild goose chase for the phone number of his new kitten when Malik had grabbed him and pulled him up here to find something to wear.
"Where are you dragging me this time?" the yami asked impatiently as he dodged an airborne pair of pants, "I refuse to go out with your little friends, hikari. You know how they annoy me."
"You hang out with Yugi."
"That's different. We're involved."
"He's going to be there, you know that, right?"
"If you think I'm-" Marik paused in the middle of his sentence, "Yugi will be there?"
Malik nodded. Marik growled.
"Fine, hikari, you win. I'll go."
Malik grinned as he threw a shirt and a pair of pants at his darkness, who caught them and frowned.
"Wear that. He'll never be able to resist you."
Marik frowned deeper.
"Wait a minute… aren't you against us being together? Why-"
"Because I don't want to see Yugi hurt again."
The yami and hikari's eyes met, and Marik knew his light was being serious.
Yugi… you don't know how lucky you are to have friends to look after you and protect you…
By the time the both of them were ready, it was eight thirty and time to head out. The yami and hikari walked together, shrouded in a comfortable silence. No one other than Malik could tell exactly what he was thinking by saying nothing at all, and Marik was glad the teen was there for him.
It took them twenty minutes to walk to the club. When they got there, the Bakuras were outside waiting for them. Ryou smiled, and encased his boyfriend in his arms.
"Why are you out here?" Malik asked as they all headed inside. Ryou shrugged.
"I wanted to wait out here for you, and Bakura didn't want me to be alone."
The pounding music vibrated beneath Marik's feet, and as they got inside, he was amazed at the number of teenagers in the place. It was packed wall to wall.
It wasn't hard to spot his lover among the crowd, however. He was sitting at a table with the others, looking quite uncomfortable. Marik suspected that Yami had convinced him to go along.
He knew Yami's feelings for the teen had gone far from just friendly. It angered him to think about it, but Marik knew it was possible that Yami could very well steal Yugi away from him. The look in the ex-pharaoh's eyes as he watched Marik's approach told him so.
"Hey, guys," Yugi greeted when they reached him. He held Marik's gaze for a few extra moments. Yami's eyes narrowed slightly, but he didn't say anything. Marik paled. What if Yami knew about them?
Marik shook his head inwardly, putting the thought aside. There were other things to worry about…
…like how he was going to get Yugi alone long enough to have a decent makeout session.

Yugi hadn't exactly been having a wonderful time before Marik and Malik showed up. The music was good, yes, and the people here were mostly those he knew from school, but this just wasn't his scene. He wished he'd just stayed home…
"I'm getting some drinks," Marik announced, "Who's coming?"
"I will," Malik chimed.
"Me, too," Yugi said. He slid out of the table, "What does everyone want?"
"We're good," Yami replied, "But thank you."
Yugi shrugged and he, Marik, and Malik went off to get the drinks. When they were far enough away from the others, Marik grabbed him around the waist and pulled him into a kiss.
"Will you two get a room?" Malik asked loudly. They broke apart and Marik grinned.
"You know, that could be arranged," he growled into Yugi's ear, making him shiver. Marik released him and took his hand.
The "bar" (alcohol-free because of teen night) was a little crowded, but Yugi didn't mind. As long as he could be with Marik, he was fine. Yami wasn't here to watch his every move.
Yami's attitude toward him had changed dramatically. He'd become more watchful and overprotective… almost to an obsessive extent. Yugi guessed that was the reason Bakura had left to go outside with Ryou. Yami just wasn't paying him attention anymore.
"Malik, can you order the drinks?" Marik suddenly asked, snapping Yugi back to reality, "We've got… something we need to take care of."
The blonde hikari rolled his eyes.
"Yeah, sure."
Marik grabbed his hand and pulled him away from the bar and towards the bathrooms. The yami wrenched the door open and pushed Yugi inside gently.
A pair of strong hands lifted him up and placed him on the counter. It was then that Yugi realized exactly how much shorter than his lover he was. The counter was easily three feet off the floor, and as Yugi sat upon it, he just came up to Marik's shoulder. It didn't matter, though.
His height had certainly not been an issue last night.
Their mouths locked together, and Yugi moaned against Marik's lips, tasting him deeply. The night before had been so… filling. He felt completed.
Marik's hands began to roam, and Yugi giggled breathlessly at the tingly feeling left by those silky fingers. He loved Marik's touch. It calmed him and made him feel safe.
The kisses got wetter and more involved, and Yugi had to struggle to not beg his lover to take him. If they caused a scene, and it got back to Yami…
He still allowed the kisses and caresses to continue. They wavered dangerously between making out and throwing each other onto the floor to fuck senselessly. A deft hand crept toward the waistband of his jeans, and he shivered excitedly.
The door to the bathroom opened suddenly, and the kiss broke. The intruder stood in the doorway, his mouth hanging open slightly, and Yugi panicked.
"Bakura, I… I can explain…"
