Chapter 3 Disgusting Food / Cute Boys

 

“Why are we here again?” Liz asked annoyed.

“Because I like the ice cream,” Tals answered.

“What?!” Liz said as her head met the table.

Tals was about to say something when she her eyes were adverted to the door as it sounded the bell. “Damn, do they have a homing device on us!?” Tals had Liz duck under the table.

 

“Thanks for inviting me out,” Ryou said.

“You welcome, I though you needed to get out for a while anyways,” Malik continued, “I mean he has stolen your cell phone how many times?”

“This is the fifteenth this week and it's only Tuesday!!”

“Damn that's bad,”

“I know,” The waiter seated them down behind the girls.

 

“What's the matter?” Liz asked.

“Those were the…” Tals started.

“…boys that chased me outside my apartment!”

“Yeah… `cept their hair ain't spiky-like,” Tals then continued, “Quick I'll get sunglasses and go get ice cream!”

“Ok,” Liz said hastily as she got ice cream and was handed the sunglasses and put them on. But since the waiter seated the boys behind them…The girls became a pair of little rats and listened their conversation.

 

“I can't believe that Liz…*choke*..that Liz stole…*sigh* …the scales,” he whispered to himself.

“Ryou, what's wrong? You seem upset,” Malik spoke with concern in his voice.

“The girl who had the Millennium Scales…Well her name's Liz,” He started, “She's a grade lower then me meaning she's a sophomore. She's kinda distant and is a bit of a tomboy. I saw her one day fighting a bully that was picking on Yugi as the bully left she picked up her bag said good-bye. She didn't want a reward or anything she was just happy she helped. The next day Yugi tried to thank her she said it was no problem and that she was happy to have helped.”

“Wow she must be a cool person. But wait a person like her wouldn't steal,”

“I know but the day she saved Yugi I swore I fell in love. I just felt something grow every time I was near her. I felt warm when I mentioned her name when I was alone. My thoughts drifted to her when I day dreamed. But went I saw her with the scales I thought my heart had been smashed.” He finished with tears in his eyes.

“Ack! Don't cry! Come on I'm not trained in this sorta thing,” He said trying to make Ryou laugh.

 

~By the Girls~

Liz who was hearing this started to eat faster. She liked Ryou for the longest time but was always to shy to talk to him. Tals then looked at her and said, “Hey L, don't eat that fast you'll give yourself brain freeze.” But as always her advice came a little…late. Liz was grasping at her throat trying to warm it up. “Ack!! Told ya so!!” She went and got some hot chocolate for her.

“Thanks, now to continue to eavesdrop!”

“Have I been a bad influence on you?”

“Why?”

“Because I can tell you never used to be like this.”

“If I say, yes, are you gonna hurt me?”

“No, I'd be proud!!”

 

~Boys PoV~

“I understand how that feels,” Malik spoke with distant eyes.

“You do? How?” Ryou asked slightly bewildered.

“Tals, I saw her for the first time in Egypt. She was with an older man she called “Uncle”.” He started, “It was just before I was coming over for Battlecity Tournament. I was walking with Odieon in the bazaar when I heard a scream. At first I was going to ignore it, when she came running out. I was in awe when our eyes met. She had the deepest blue eyes, but that was short lived. Men with guns came out and she didn't cry for help instead….”

 

Flashback….

“Everybody run!” she cried as she ran toward the armed men. Somehow she managed to dodge the bullets and kicked first man into a wall. She duck and jumped over the second man as he fired his gun. Gabbing him by the neck she used him as a stationary object and kicked the third in the face into a bunch of barrels. Finally she faces the second man and head butted him. He then collapsed at her feet.

Her “Uncle” came out with the police and arrested them. But a forth gun man came out and was hiding behind barrels aiming at us. But Tals noticed and she came up to us like she was going to talk to us. As he pulled the trigger she pushed us out of way. I sat up about to complain when saw her still on the ground. Soon I saw a trail of blood seeping from her body. I rushed to her as Odieon gave the forth man to the police.

I turned her over and started to check if she was still alive. She had a strong pulse but her breathing was shallow. I brought the Millennium Rod out and sent their souls to the shadow realm. Then I picked her up and her “Uncle,” Odieon and I brought her to the hospital.

End Flashback….

 

“I stayed with her until she woke up,” Malik spoke, “Then I thanked her and left. I still remember the look on her face, ha, ha it was of confusion, I heard her whisper as I left the room, `Why did he stay? The others I saved just went on with lives and forgot about me.' But little did she know I left my heart there with her. Even to this day she still has it.”

Ryou was in awe to say the least. But he knew that Malik really care for her. “Now all we gotta do to get over the fact that they stole and show them some how.

 

~Girls PoV~

Tals had completely frozen in place at the last comment she didn't expect that to come out of his mouth. Liz was waving her hand in front of Tals' face until…Tals grabbed it and set it on the table. “So that's why he stayed, Man, I thought he didn't care.”

“Yeah, that was kinda sweet,” Liz said and laughed as Tals gave her a bored face. She then stated to write something as Liz leaned over to read it.

“Waiter,” she called, “Could you give this to the boys behind us as we get outta here,” She winked the waiter smiled and nodded. The girls stood up and left the restaurant.

 

~Normal PoV~

“What's this I wonder,” Ryou spoke as he opened the note the waiter and read what it said, “Oh my God,” he stated breathlessly.

“What's the matter?” Malik asked.

“The girls heard us. In fact they were in the booth in front of us.”

“Let me read that,” Malik said as Ryou handed him the letter to him. He sat down and looked it over. His eyes got little watery as he read the contents of the note he then looked at Ryou. He nodded in agreement. The letter said….

 

Hello Boys

This is Tals speakin'. Or should I writing. But

contrary to you beliefs we didn't steal these weird golden

objects. A strange man left them with us. Why? I have no

fucking clue but we're gonna find out. So please keep

your mental twins under control.

 

P.S. we heard it all…you sat behind us.

“Ryou you're tearing up again,” Malik stated.

“Yeah, well just so happy,” He spoke back.

“Same here.”

“Maybe we should go.”

“Yeah, let's get outta here.”

 

~Outside~

As they exited the building a white truck went by in a blur. Looking closer they saw that this white truck had a green Celtic chain on it. It made a sharp 180 turn so that it was facing towards them and a hand reached out and started to fire off a gun. They looked at who the bullets were being fired at. Then their Yamis came into view. Grabbing their darker halves the truck then reversed into the street and pull another one 180 to be facing forward again and drove off. “Bakura, I expected better of you!” Ryou exclaimed.

“Ryou! You let me go this instant!” Bakura yelled.

“No they didn't steal the items so stay put!”

“That don't matter we want them any anyway!”

“Stop or I'll send you to the Shadow Realm,” stated a new yet familiar voice. Everyone stopped and looked behind them. There stood Yami. Leather clad and glaring.

“Yami, what are you doing here?” asked Ryou asked.

“I came to see why I felt distress.”

“Distress?” Malik questioned as he tightened his grip on his yami as he started to struggle again.

“I felt the distress of someone I used to care a lot for,” Yami turned and started to walk away, “Do not chase those girls for they are under my protection. Now and Forever.”

All of sudden the two struggling yamis dropped in their hikari's grasps. They were getting heavy and they let go. The yamis then face first on the ground. “He spoils all our fun,” they complained. Ryou and Malik looked at each other and shrugged. They then took their yamis home.

Take 4: Liz- *annoyed* Why are we here again?

Tals- Because I like the ice cream.

Liz- What?! * as her chin met the table* Oww Damn it.

Tals- OMG!! (Oh my God) Are you alright?!

Liz- Can I get an aspirin?

Director- Cut let's move people we don't need her to be injured anymore.

Take 36: Tals- Everybody run! *as she ran toward the armed men, managed to dodge the bullets and tried to kick first man into a wall but missed when he moved* Damn it!! You're not supposed to move. *as was standing up* I think I broke somethin'

Take 67: *As they exited the building a white truck went by in a blur. Looking closer they saw that this white truck had a green Celtic chain on it. It made a sharp 180 turn and kept turning.*

Tals- Who iced this I don't have the snow tires on!! *the truck then hit a telephone pole which fell on Marik's head. Bakura's laughing and Tals looks over at Liz whose head is bleeding.* RYOU GET OVER HERE LIZ IS BLEEDING BAD!!!!!

Ryou- WHAT?!?!? *he ran over there and Tals got out of the truck to let him in the camera followed and hit Bakura in the head. Then Marik stumbles into a punch bowl and Bakura hit ran into a building*

Bakura and Marik- This just ain't my day.

Tals- What are you two doing? We have a problem here. Now stop playing. * They looked her and fell over* shit……..Medic!!

 

Take 72: *As they exited the building a white truck went by in a blur. Looking closer they saw that this white truck had a green Celtic chain on it. It made a sharp 180 turn so that it was facing towards them and a hand punched through the window* Tals- DAMN THT HURT!!! THE WINDOW WAS SUPPOSED TO BE DOWN ALREADY I DON'T ROLL IT DOWN I DON'T HAVE TIME!!!!!!

Malik- *runs over there* Tals are you all right.

Tals- My hand is covered in blood and hurt really bad because glass is in the cuts.* she started to tear up because of the pain*

Malik- *hugs her* Can we some medical attention over here now!

Tals- Thank you Malik. *Hugs him back*

Malik- No problem.
