Yu-Gi-Oh! Fan Fiction ❯ Egypt's Unknown Secret ❯ The Beginning ( Chapter 1 )
Disclaimer: Even though I don't mention it them in this chapter, I would like to say that none of the Yu-gi-oh characters belong to me or you or the little spider that lives in that unnoticeable nook in your bedroom and comes out every night to suck your blood!
A/N: Hey I hope you all enjoy this story. It will eventually have Yugi and all his buds in it, but you know ... I need to leave you with suspense. R/R! So I can see if I should go on with this story.
And So It Begins...
Wow ... another boring day ahead of me. Well ... it is the first day of summer vacay, so I should be at least a little enthusiastic about it ... nah. After rubbing my eyes and eventually crawling out of bed, went down our very own case of blue, carpeted stairs.
"OMG! Marian! We just won a trip to Egypt!!!" my mom screamed when she saw me coming down the stairs.
"What! We won a trip to Egypt? ... Woo Hoo!" I thought aloud. I was so stunned I slipped on a stair and fell the rest of the way down. After recovering from my incident and my mom and I tiring ourselves out from jumping and screaming together, she showed me the e-mail that had all the details about the trip.
"Hmm ... it says that we get to leave in about ... three weeks and ... aw man ... it's only for three people," I read aloud. I wondered who would go since there are four people in my family, which includes my mom, my brother, my dad, and me.
"Lucky for me! I really don't want to go into that hot desert climate so I'll stay here. I can stay at grandma's and grandpa's house," my brother said stubbornly. What fortune, my parents and I are going on a trip to the Egyptian deserts!
The next day I decided to tell my friends about it by inviting them over to my house for a farewell party.
"You know Marian, the trip isn't until like, three weeks away," my know-it-all friend Brittany commented.
"Yea ... so I wanna make sure we have enough time for the oh-so-scary packing of the suitcases," I joked. Everyone came and gave me presents, but no one gave me the most important gift than Raquel.
"Marian, I just want you to be careful, especially if you're going to visit the pyramids," she said seriously.
"What about them?" I asked.
"When my daddy was there, he said that no one has yet figured out the pyramids. He says that some people have mysteriously vanished in the pyramids and the lands surrounding them," she said with much concern.
"Oh, okay ... I'll be sure." I shrugged it off. How could that possibly happen? I mean yeah, I believe in paranormal stuff, but this was way to silly. After everyone left, my mom and I decided to go shopping for Sahara stuff. We went to Wal-Mart and got basically everything we needed from sun hats to desert boots.
The next day we decided to pack our things, so we wouldn't be in a rush the day before we leave. By this day, however, what Raquel said had started to bug me.
I was putting my clothes into my suitcase when I asked my cat,
" I wonder if what Raquel and her dad said was true, Meowth." Of course, he had nothing to say but looked at me in question.
"Oh, why am I asking you, silly cat. You don't even know what she said," I laughed and continued to pack my already over-filled suitcase. By the next day came around, my mom was making phone calls here and there to make sure we got the best out of this vacation. By the end of the day, she was exhausted, but relieved that she was able to finish them.
"Well Marian, I called the company and they said we're going to get our own private jet and they also said we can get to leave earlier, which means we can stay longer," my mom explained.
"Really? We can stay there for two weeks if we wanted?" I asked.
"Yes and we're going to leave tomorrow morning so you better get some rest," my mom said tiredly. Wow, we really are going there.
The next day, my mom woke me early.
"Mom, I only had like four hours of sleep," I complained.
"Well, not unless you wanna miss the plane, go back to sleep," she said.
"Fine," I said irritated. By that afternoon, we were on the jet and enjoying it. We were already over Egypt.
"Wow, I wonder what things we will find down there," I said as I looked down from the window at the wide, wide wilderness of sand and mystery.
A/N: I hope you all enjoyed it! Once again, please review so I can see if you all really want me to go on with this story. And if you really want to, and I wouldn't mind if you do, please review my other fics please!
