Yu-Gi-Oh! Fan Fiction ❯ Egypt's Unknown Secret ❯ The Arm Cuff ( Chapter 2 )

[ A - All Readers ]

Disclaimer: Once again, none of the Yu-gi-oh Characters or ideas belong to me and I would say something else, but I think that, that might give away the whole plot so ... yea ...

A/N: um ... well, here's chapter two for you all! Technically this chapter was going to be way longer, but I knew that, that would be to much for you all to read so you're just gonna have to wait until I get that/those organized and done with (uh ... that might take awhile because I am not, I repeat, NOT very well organized with ANYTHING!). I'm planning to make the part I cut off into like, maybe two chapters? I'm not sure, because I don't like planning ahead, but anyways, I hope you enjoy this chapter!

We've finally made it! As I walked through the connection between the jet plane and the building, I couldn't help but sense that someone was calling for me ...

"Hurry up Marian, we don't want our luggage to be picked up by some stranger," my dad joked. We took the elevator down to the first floor and went into the luggage room. There we of course, got our luggage and went outside to pick up a taxi.

"Come on you people! You see him, but not me!" my dad said furiously. I laughed; several taxis had just passed him by without stopping. But after at least a half an hour, a taxi driver finally stopped.

"Thanks," my mom said politely as she and I got in the backseats.

"No prob," the Egyptian taxi driver said with an accent. My dad, after hopping into the front passenger seat and slamming the door quite hard told the driver where we were heading.

"Really? That place is one of the best hotels we have around here," he said surprisingly. After our one-hour trip, I could see he was right. The hotel was extremely tall and was black with the exception of the windows. After getting our luggage out of the taxi, the only thing that my family and I could do was just stare at it in awe.

I couldn't believe that we actually won this kind of luxury from the Internet. First, we get to leave for the trip earlier, we get to ride on a private jet plane, and now we get a hotel that seems more like a condo to stay in. When we headed inside, the interior, just like the exterior, it was gorgeous. The theme of the décor was ancient Egypt and yet could help to feel that maybe, just maybe I was destined to be here?

As my mom checked us in, my dad and I decided to see what the pool was like. After walking through glass doors, we saw that the pool, just like the rest of the hotel, was grand and beautiful. The middle of the hotel had been cut out so the sun could shine through and into the pool. Of course, you couldn't really see the pool because there were so many people in it. We went back inside and saw that my mom was looking for us. So, we snuck up on her, and with success, we got a little scream from her. Some of the guests I supposed were probably staring at us.

"The man said that we're on the third floor and Marian you get your own room, but of course is connected to our room. Also, the busboy has already taken our stuff up to our rooms," my mom explained. Yes! My own room! We took the elevator up to our rooms. When I walked into my room, I was shocked! The room looked like something for a princess! OMG! I couldn't believe this was happening!

After changing of clothes and some arguments of where to go, we decided to go to the market place that was only a short walking distance from our hotel. As we walked down to the market, however, I felt that something was calling to me, which made me confused. But the good thing was, whatever it was, was calling to me from what seemed the market place.

When we finally got there, oh! There were so many people and things to look at! I peered in wonder at all the foreign foods, clothes and jewelry. We then came upon a stall that had elaborate, ancient Egyptian jewelry. I looked at all of the items, but nothing caught my eye more than a thick, elaborate, gold arm cuff. The man, who was selling it, saw me look at it.

"That's a mighty fine piece of jewelry from ancient Egypt," he explained, "I'd sell it for quite a lot, but since you're such a pretty, young lady, I'll sell it for twenty American dollars."

"Hmm..." I thought, the cuff was so intriguing, "of course I'll buy it!" And with that I took two ten-dollar bills from my wallet that was in my backpack and handed it to him.

"Young lady, just be careful with that jewelry. I heard that it may posses some sort of magic," he added.

"Sure," I said unbelieving. I slipped it on through my lower arm, to my upper arm where it fit perfectly. It definitely went with my complexion. We looked around some more, and by the end of the day, we came out with some more jewelry, some clothes, and an Egyptian dog figurine for my brother to play with.

When we got back to the hotel, I was locking my door when I suddenly heard someone say my name.

`Marian ...'

"Who's there?" I said, half frightened. All my lights were on in my room and I could see no one.

`Marian ... it's me ... ' I heard again.

"Where are you?" I'm asking.

`Look in the mirror,' the voice said. I was scared, but determinedly still walked up to it. OMG! It was me, but then I saw a shadow of someone else!

`You see, it's me, your yami, your dark half,' she ... or is it me ... said.

`What you have on your arm is a millennium item,' she explained, `we were destined to meet, you and me.'

`B-but how can t-this be a millennium item? I-isn't that just a thing from that Yu-gi-oh c-cartoon? T-this is the real world, n-not c-cartoon world?' I asked, frightened. What I didn't realize was that this item, the arm cuff, had never been mentioned in the cartoon before.

`Yes. But it's not exactly a cartoon, but another world. You see there was a pharaoh in this world named Yugi and I, I was the princess named Marian,' she explained once more, `a prince and I created a portal that would transfer us to a new world, the "cartoon world" if you want to call it.'

"Hold on. You and I were destined to met?" I interrupted even though she had already answered beforehand.

`Yes,' she answered. I felt a tingling sensation, and then ... I blacked out.

I awoke to a strange and unfamiliar room, walls looking old and ancient. Then, I turned around and saw someone else staring at the mirror I had just been looking in. She looked like me, but had darker, longer hair, that was crimped on the ends and she was wearing mascara and eye shadow. Ahh! She was wearing the same clothes I was wearing!

`Where am I?' I commanded.

"Why you're in the millennium item, just as I was a second ago," Yami Marian clarified.

`Oh, this room is spooky, could I please be back in my own body,' I pleaded. And as an answer to my question, my world went black once again and this time I saw my reflection in the mirror. I was once again back in my hotel room.

`Ah ... I'm tired. You want to go to sleep?' Yami said randomly.

"Uh ... sure?" I said as I laid in bed. This sure had been one awkward day.

A/N:

Marian: ... Hmm ... what will happen the next day? Will I ever get used to having Yami?

Yami Marian: of course you will and-------*someone covers mouth*

Marian: yea ... anyways … remember to review so I can see how bad you want the next chapter and I also kinda, just kinda screwed up on this chapter so um ... if you find any mistakes ... *goes on knees* please, please tell me in your review! It will be greatly appreciated!

Yami Marian: you always make mistakes, what are you talking about?

Marian: *grabs steak knife* I'd watch what you were saying if I were you ...

Yami Marian: Ha! You can't kill me! You'd kill yourself in the process! Ha!

Marian: *annoyed*
