Yu-Gi-Oh! Fan Fiction ❯ Egypt's Unknown Secret ❯ The Meeting ( Chapter 3 )
Disclaimer: Once again, just like in the chapters before none of the Yu-Gi-Oh ideas or soon to be characters are mine ... this is annoying me why people don't get it right by the first chapter.
A/N: Okay here's the third chapter. I think I kinda screwed up on the grammar on this one too, so if you find any mistakes please tell me. Also I updated chapter two, to a point where it gives a preview of a story I might write, that will conclude a lot of stuff that will happen in the future chapters. Go ahead and give chapter two a look, but you won't find out until I write the story. Anyways, I hope you enjoy this story!
And then I awoke. It seemed that the sun had awoken as well.
`Morning,' Yami said tiredly.
`Morning,' I said, just as tired. I thought of going swimming and Yami agreed that we should. So, I grabbed my suitcase and pulled out my bikini and put it on. I walked over to the mirror to see how I looked.
`Hm ... not bad,' Yami said, looking at my reflection as well. I agreed with her. With my dark complexion, dark eyes, and long, dark hair, I didn't see how anyone could think that I'm from Kentucky. The bright pink of my bikini and my tan skin went so well together. And for once, I was able to fill in my bikini top nicely, as I hadn't been able to in the past.
"Let's have fun!" I said happily as I grabbed my beach towel and ran out of the room. When I got down to the pool, I saw that no one was there.
`Yes!' Yami and I said together. I threw my towel on the chair that was closest to me and ran to the diving boards. There was a high one and a low one. And of course, I took the high one.
`What's this?' she asked.
`It's a diving board. You jump off it and into the water. It's really fun,' I responded.
`If you say so,' she said unsurely. I finally accomplished my journey to the top. I walked to the end of the board cautiously.
`I'm not sure about this,' Yami said, trying to hide her fear.
`Don't worry, I've done this a billion times,' I reassured her. I then took two big hops on the board and jumped into the water. Once in the air I quickly straightened my arms as I put them above my head to form a `v'. I have always loved the slow-motion feeling as the wind went through my hair. Then there was a splash. I went deep into the water, maybe about eight feet. It felt so nice to be in this crystal blue liquid. I was running out of air, so I kicked my feet hard as I started to go upward. It didn't take long as my head came out of the water. I took a deep breath.
`That was fun! Can we do it again?' Yami says excitedly. I was about to respond when we heard some clapping. I turned around and to our surprise, found a guy applauding.
"That was nicely done," he said. This boy was about my age, dark complected, just like me, and had spiky hair-do, but what were most noticeable were his light blue eyes.
"Thanks," I said shyly.
`He's cute!' Yami said excitedly.
`Shh! You be glad I'm the only one who can hear you,' I warned.
"Your welcome. My name is Kenneth Young," he responded.
"Nice to uh ... meet you. My name is Marian Mandela," I said politely, "where are you from? Your name sounds like it's from the United States?"
"No, actually I'm from here, I'm a lifeguard and you're not suppose to be swimming unless someone like me is around," he joked, "where are you from?"
"Uh... U.S., but if you want it more specific, Kentucky," I replied.
"Well, I welcome you to Egypt. Everyone around this part of town is really nice, that's why you see so many visitors around these areas. Hey! I got an idea, my dad is an archeologist and he and his crew just discovered this pyramid that appeared out of no where, wanna come?" he said.
"A pyramid that appeared out of nowhere, eh?" I asked suspiciously.
"Ah ... yea ... sorry ... well, I thought that maybe we get to get to know each other better," he suggested, sounding hurt.
`He likes you! Say yes, if not for you then at least my sake!' Yami persuaded.
"Sorry, I'd have to ask my parents, but they probably wouldn't mind. How about you come upstairs with me so I can introduce you to them?" I suggested.
"Sure," he agreed. Once I got out of the pool and dried myself we took the elevator saying pretty much nothing until we got to my room.
"These are the good rooms," he commented. Once I opened my door.
"I know and the funny thing is, is that we won this trip off the web," I laughed. After knocking on the door that connected to my parents' room I introduced Kenneth to my parents.
"Um ... mom this is Kenneth Young. He's a lifeguard at the swimming pool downstairs and he offered me a tour to a pyramid that his dad, an archeologist, and his team are checking out. Can I go?" I explained.
"Hm ... well, your dad and I were planning to go to the museum, but if it's for your education ... you can go," my mom answered.
"Yes," we exclaimed happily. I told Kenneth to wait for me at the entrance of the hotel while I changed and went into my room.
`What should we wear?' Yami Marian asked.
`It's not that big of a deal, we're just gonna go on a little trip through a pyramid no one has been through since like, your time,' I shuttered.
`So?' she curiously pondered. Once we decided what to change into, which were blue jean shorts and a peachy colored tank top, we went down to the entrance in which we saw Kenneth had changed out of his trunks.
"Well, let's go!" he said as we headed out of the building and into a weather-torn, green jeep.
A/N: Marian: Technically, I think this chapter is too long, but some of you all might like it, just remember to review!
Yami Marian: Yes! Reviewing is always the most important step of reading a story, but of course reading the story is also important.
Marian: *stares blankly* ... yea ... well like I said above lookout for the short preview in chapter two for my maybe soon to be story. I haven't found out if I can write two, long chapter stories at the same time, yet.
Yami Marian: Hey! I got an idea! Maybe you could write one while I write the other!
Marian: *looks at Yami Marian stupidly* ah ... I've got the brains for the story ... you don't ... sorry to say ... you can write your own story if you want though!
Yami Marian: *looks hurt* ah ... no thanks ...
Marian: Well, just remember to review! We all love those reviews!
