Mitzumi: this is the final chappy then after this, the epilouge. I loved this fict and thankes to all who stuck by me as I posted it. Big thankies to sokras for allowing me to post it on my page redoing it. hands her a Bakura plushie hopefully, we'll be able to post the whole epic before we turn 20 and completely forget about it. Here's to making it big. Uhm…I hope none of you kill me for this but Atemu is a total complete bastard in this chapter so just so you know, it's not him, it's the potion… In any case, onward with the fict.
Disclaimer: Naraku, Orisama, Savire, Anubis-this version-, Nirvana and Beck all belong to Sokras Shibuya. Roan is jointly shared by the both of us.

Savira flew as far as she could from her beloved. It tore her apart to leave him but she knew it was for the best. Maybe, once she was rid of Anubis, she could return. But for now, it was too dangerous for her to be near him.
She flew to a cave that she remembered was the safehouse for her to go to if she were ever to get into trouble. There she met up with a familiar face.
“hello big sister.”
“hi Savire,” Savira greeted her twin brother. Savire was pale and built like her but he had dark colored hair and blue eyes, making him look more human.
“it took you long enough to remember. It was agonizing watching you act like that.” He said, leading her into the interior of the cave. Inside was another man sitting by the fire. He was taller than the twins with tanned skin and long black hair that was in a single braid that went down his back. He was garbed in a simple black cloak, black pnats and black warrior boots. His scarlet eyes smoldered in the firelight as he looked up at him.
“yo, Savira.”
“hello Naraku. When did you get here?” she asked sitting beside the demon.
“a while back. Savire had called me here.” He replied with a shrug.
“and while we were waiting, apparently someone found the time to get himself a new boyfriend,” Savire smirked at Naraku's scowl.
“he is not my boyfriend. He was just a guy I happened to meet and we had a couple of things in common.” Naraku explained.
“what was his name?” Savira asked.
“he didn't say and this idiot didn't ask.” Savire said.
“if he wanted me to know his name, he would of told me. He knows mine and that is all that counts,” he replied, glaring at Savire.
“well, whatever Naraku. Just promise me if you guys do hook up again to do those kind of things out of my hearing range,” she replied. She was glad her darkside found someone for him, now if only she can sort out her own love life….
“Savira!”
the trio looked at the entrance of the cave where another tall man landed, his white Angel wings folding in as he touched down. He had short blond hair and pale skin. Hiding behind his glasses were neon green eyes that can
peer into one's soul with a single glance. He was wearing Naraku's same outfit but in all white.
“what is it Orisama?” Savira asked her light
“I just got back from the kingdom and…I think Atemu has lost his mind.” The angel panted.
“what?”
“he's completely destroying his kingdom, hell, he even let loose zork,” he reported, fixing his glasses nervously.
“what?!” by then all three of them were standing.
“I know. His demenor is totally different. I think that his soul has been poisoned and the only one who can do that is-“
“Anubis.” Savira growled. “I have to go back.”
“I suggest that we fuse first. He has somehow tapped into his darkside's powers and is incredibly strong,” Orisama suggested.
Savira nodded. Orisama and Naraku were her light and darkside and she needed their strength too if she planned to subdue Atemu in his current state. Gods, she wished this wasn't happening.
--
the village was burning and Atemu watched it all from his bedroom balcony emotionlessly. His kingdom was going up in flames and he could care less. She was not here so what was the point of anything anymore? Earlier, Yami tried to talk to him but he locked him into the sword. Atemu had to thank the old man for telling him about Yami's weakness and with a solid strike of the blade, he did.
The only priests he had left was Isis and Seth. They were in another kingdom on buisness matters but Atemu promised himself he would get them once they came back. Then no one could oppose his new destuctive path.
Yamira silently walked in and gently touched Atemu's shoulder. He turned looking at her in such a way that made her wince. His eyes were jet black, impassive and aloof. This was not what she wanted. She wanted him to fall in love with her and look at her like he did Savira and Tearrah.
“what is it Yamira?”he ordered.
“uh..uhmmm, Atemu, don't you think this is a bit much? Your kingdom is burning to the ground all of your priests are dead and the servants fear you.”
“hn…it is as it should be. No longer will I be the ruler of this weak kingdom. I will be the ruler of this world and all those who refuse to bow will crumble under my fist. This is no longer a monarchy, it's a dictatorship and a new world order.”
Yamira watched him fearfully as he ranted on. Who was this megalomaniac that replaced her kind gentle older twin and how can she change him back?
“of course, a leader always needs a woman by his side.”
Yamira blinked, pulled out of her train of thought. He was staring at her, a dark lust in his eyes. Frightened, she tried to run, but he caught her, slamming her to the ground by her throat.
“what's wrong little sister? You wanted me before and now I want you back. After all, “ he said, leaning down to whisper dangerously in her ear as his hand slipped under her dress, “someone will have to bear my children.”
Her eyes widened and before long, her screams echoed throughout the palace.
--
Savira flew back to the palace as fast as she could. She was in full dragonmaster armor, the Shadow blade at her side. In her mind she was reviewing the spell that unleashed her ultimate beast but she hoped it wouldn't come to that. Once Behemoth was unleashed, it was nearly impossible to seal him back.
She touched down on the balcony she left only hours before. The sun was starting to rise on the smoldering remains of the kingdom as she ran through the halls searching for her love. It was quiet in the halls…
As she entered Atem's room a disturbing sight met her-
“Yamira!”
The queen was curled up at the foot of the bed completely bare and barely conscious. Blood dribbled from her lips in a thin trail on the side of her mouth. Her hair was a tangled mess, the once immaculate blond bangs stained with her own blood. Bruises and cuts littered her body while Savira could make out a print of hands on her throat, disturbingly the same size as Atemu's…
Yamira's eye's fluttered when Savira said her name. Savira stooped down and picked the younger woman up, careful not to jar her injuries that were seen and unseen, and sat her on the bed.
“Yamira…who did this,” she whispered, fearful of the answer.
Yamira motioned Savira closer and Savira leaned down so Yamira could whisper in her ear,
“Atemu…”
Savira swollowed hard and nodded, sitting up. She magicked a potion and helped Yamira drink it so that she would heal. Savira didn't like nor trust the girl but if she had to…well someone would have to rule the kingdom once Atemu was gone.
After wrapping Yamira's cuts and putting a sleep spell on her, Savira once again searched for Atem. She scoured the castle, coming upon grisly scences from the library all the way to the dungeons, but still, not Atemu.
The last room she had left to check was the throne room. She walked up to the big golden doors, desperetly trying to ignore the trail of blood leading inside. Drawing her sword, she entered.
Heads and bodies littered the sides of the room while, on his throne, bloodied and grinning was Atemu. In his hand, he held, he held a head. Savira realizes, to her shock, that it is Bakura's. When he notices her, his grin disappears from his lips and he tosses the head aside, rising.
His whole look has changed. No longer dressed in white and gold, he wears a black shirt and pants, the sennen eye in bloodred embroidered on the chest. His choker and waistband are still there, stained with his victim's blood while his crown is jetblack and silver. A scarlet cape flows behind him.
Then there is his eyes. One is a solid black with crimson pupil while the other is the inverse. Fangs extend past his lips.
With this sight, Savira manages to convince herself that this is not the man she was going to marry but a monster she must defeat. But even with that in mind, she must tighten her grip on her sword to stop her hand from quivering.
“well, look who's back. Here to grind my pride even more into the dust?” he hisses at her, his voice distorted with rage.
“Atemu…this isn't about us…it's about how you are destroying this kingdom and all of the innocent people that live here.”
“why should I worry about such commoners when I am building an empire? This is mearly a stepping stone to my future and as the adage goes, you have to lose some to win some and I intend to win all.”
“you fool, how are you going to rule when eveyone is dead from your path of destruction? Don't you realize that what you're doing is going to destroy the world, or are you too insane to see the difference? If you keep this up, Ra will come down and-“
“ENOUGH! I `ve had enough of your voice. You've had your chance to be by my side and that chance has now past, “he draws his sword, “now DIE!!”
he lunged at her, Savira dodging a split second before. What she feared was going to happen is happening.
She's fighting the only man she loved….
--
as the battle rages on, Savira realizes that Atemu is stronger than she realizes. He is successfully dodging her attacks and more that once, manages to pin her. The battle was growing closer and closer between them, neither side willing to give in.
he knocks her into a wall and moves to finish her ….
When arms wrap around his waist. He raises his hand to strike the fool that dares touches him but he stops upon seeing it is Tearrah. She has her face pressed into his back, her tears soaking his shirt.
“please Atemu…no more…please do not harm her further…”she sobs.
Atemu lowers his sword and turns, gently removing her arms from his waist. He looks down at her. When he speaks, he sounds lke his old self again.
“you do not wish for me to end her, Tearrah?”
“no, Atemu…this isn't like you. just stop this insanity,” she whimpered, finally looking up at him. She gasped. His eyes…they were so cold dispite his warm tone.
“oh…I will stop it alright, Tearrah…and you are going to help me….by being a sacrifice to the gods” he said, his grip on her arm tightening to a painful level.
“no…no…Atemu…no…you can't do this-“
he backhanded her, cutting off her pleas. As blood dripped from her mouth, he summoned two of his loyal duel monsters to hold her as he begain the ritual. They looked reluctant but did as their master commanded.
Meanwhile, Savira was in the midst of her own ritual. In her mind, she was unleashing the binding spell on her ultimate beast, Behemoth. With each seal ripped away, her physical body twitched, an outward response to the powerful aura that was beginning to engulf her being.
Atemu stood before the three god tablets that were facing away from him. Taking in a solid breath, he began the incantation.
Gods on high
Hear my cry
As you are unleashed
Darkness draws nigh
Smite my foes with your powerful might
Send their souls to ammit in the darkest of night
Take my sacrifice
Devour her soul
May it help
Your unstoppable power unfold
Came to my aid
DARK GUARDIANS!!
Tearrah screamed as her soul was ripped from her body, divided into three and absorbs by the tablets. On the formally blank and smooth face, a black engraving of the three gods appeared but instead of their usual luminecent colors, they appered in shades of black. The dark aura of the Shadow realm engulfed the room as the gods wrenched themseves from their holding tablet. It was uncertain if Atemu could contain his wide grin to his face.
Obelisk laid his hand on the ground and Atemu climbed onto it so the god would lift him to it's shoulder. The three gods looked to their summmoner with a question of their target and Atemu pointed toward Savira whose body was breaking into convulsion from the power flowing through her. Atemu mearly raised an eyebrow.
“destroy her.”
The trio moved to attak but when they got near enough, a barrier of dark magic held them back. Confused, they pounded at it as it concealed the happenings that were going on in it's walls.
Suddenly, silver light leaked out of the barrier before it crumbled, throwing the three gods back. Savira emerged, her body encased in sleek jet black dragon scales.
I'm sorry Atemu… I hope that you will come to forgive me…
“Behemoth…attack.”
The dark Shadow of an enormous beast pounced slifer, it's blood- coated fangs clamping on it's throat. The god screamed as Diamond sharp claws ripped through its stomach. Atemu screamed out in pain as the effects hit him. Obelisk set him on the ground as it and Ra moved to help their comrade.
Behemoth let go of the sky dragon, looking at the other gods with his flaming red eyes as if challenging them to attack. The horns on his head and the spikes on his spine seemed to grow larger as he growled at them. The hell hound met them head on as they charged.
While the monsters fought, Savira made her way over to Atemu. He still couldn't get up due the massive damage behemoth was inflicting on the gods. Sweat poured down his face while blood flowed from his mouth and nose. Upon seeing her stop before him, he hissed.
“what are you doing? T-trying to k-k-kick me while I'm d-down?” he stutters as another wave of pain went through him when Ra's wings were ripped off.
“no… I would never do that to you Atemu…I'm just letting you know that you can stop this. Send the gods back and I will help you fix your kingdom bak to way it should be, calm and peaceful witout anyone suffering. Open your eyes Atemu. At this rate, you will only die an early death.”
“SHUT UP!! I DON'T NEED YOU NOR YOUR SYMPATHY!! I WILL DEFEAT YOU I WI-“ he stopped before throwing up blood. Savira signaled to behemoth to stop. He did, obediently waiting for his mistress's next order. Savira stooped down to Atemu's level and waited for him to finish. When he did, he flinched. Her eyes were so… glacial …
“I tried to plead with you Atemu but no longer. I see that Anubis's spell has a deeper hold on you than I thought. Thee's only one way to reverse this and I apologize now, my love.” She raised a hand to his face.
“it's about time for you to OPEN YOUR MIND!!”
with a yell Atemu fell backwards into a pool of his blood, the effects of the potion fading. Without a summoner, the dark guardians disappeared. Behemoth looked disappointed. He was starting to have fun. Savira sighed and stood.
“behemoth…go to dog form…”
the beast shrunk to the size of your average full-grown golden retriever, it's horns, spikes and other hellish attributes disappearing leaving only solid black fur. He padded over to his mistress and bumped his nose against her hand. Instantly, she fell down and hugged him, her tears intermingling with his sweaty fir.
“oh gods Beck…he's gone…I can never see him again…it's not fair…” she sobbed.
”don't worry Savira, you will see him again someday, I promise.” Beck replied mentally.
“if you say so. Now I need you to do something for me,” she sniffed, whiping her eyes on her assasin clothes which materialized once she slipped out of battle mode. Beck wagged his tail.
“anything for you.”
“I want you and Naraku to get priest Seth and Priestess Isis and tell them that Zork has attacked. Orisama, heal the sevants and bring the other priests back to life and modify their memories so that they think that zork has attacked.”
Naraku and Orisama nodded as they seperated from their mistress and with their orders, the trio left. Savira picked up Atemu and carried him to his room.
Yamira was there, asleep on the bed. Savira laid Atemu next to her and looked at the sleeping twins. This was probably the first time since they were 15 the two had slept together peacefully. Okay, so one of them was unconcious but still…
With a small sigh, Savira earased their memory of every trace of her, replacing it with attacks from Bakura and Zork. Also she put into Atemu's that Tearrah had been killed by zork when she tried to protect him and into Yamira's she put that Bakura was the one that raped her, not Atemu.
Wih a final kiss on Atemu's lips, she was gone…
--
Savira used her magic to revive Bakura so by the time she left the kingdom, she was exhausted, emotionally and physically. All she wanted to do now was sleep.
“well if it isn't my niece…”
Savira froze. It couldn't be…
“uncle Anubis.”
Anubis's lips formed into a smirk, the only part of his face uncovered by the mask. “did you think you could hide from me for long? You have yet to fulfill my orders but yet you think you can walk away from your mission without retribution. What a fool you have become Savira. Those sandstorms must have addled your brains more than I thought.”
“those sandstoms no longer have any effect on me, uncle. I just don't want to kill Atemu.” Savira spat, her hand going toher sword. Yes, she was tired, but to not fight Anubis was a death sentence.
“and why is that? Is it that you have fell in love with the mortal?”
Savira went silent. That was sooo a trick question.
“no matter. I will kill him myself.”
“NO!!” Savira screamed, lunging at Anubis. He caught her blade, using her momentum to throw her to the ground. She got up and faced him.
“this mortal will only be your death Savira! Very well, if you wish to die because of him, I will gladly give you your wish but if you somehow defeat me, I will release you from your contract.” Anubis declared, drawing his own sword.
Savira's heart pounded in her ears. If she agreed and won, she would no longer have to be an assasin. She could go back to Atemu and undo her spell and they could live peacefully but if she lost…
“very well Anubis. Let's do this.”
--
they fought for 10 days straight, all around the globe. Neither side would give in thought Savira had a more considerable amount to lose. Every time she began to weaken, she thought of her beloved and that gave her strength to keep going.
At one point they were fightig through the new world, scaring the natives there. They would later tell legends of the day saw a battle between the gods.
Anubis paused as amental telegram from one of his servants came to him. Savira ducked into a cave on the side of a mountain to take a breather. She didn't know why Anubis stopped but dammit, she was not gunna ask why.
A moment later, she heard his maniacal laughter. Her stomach clenched as he continued laughng.
“Savira! Guess what I heard! Your darling mortal has sealed himself into a child's toy for 5,000 years. So you might as well give up.”
Savira's heart dropped. When he said child's toy, does he mean the millennium puzzle. No one, except Atemu, has ever solved it. That means he willever get out!
“so you might as well give up-” Anubis's jeers suddenly stopped. Savira blinked. What had happened? Catiously, she went to mouth of the cave. Her face pulled into a scowl.
There, holding her uncle Anubis by the throat, was her other uncle, Roan a.k.a. Ra. The golden god was tall, bronze-skinned and fairly muscular which was mostly hidden by golden robes.
“hello Savira. Long time no see, ne?” he smiled then ducked as a rock nearly bashed him in the face.
“WHERE-WERE-YOU-WHEN-I-NEEDED-YOU-MOST-YOU-STUPID-BIRD? !” she shrieked throwing a rock with each word and throwing a boulder on the last one. To her fury, Roan dodged every single one then used his powers to crush the bolder.
“I'm sorry, Savira chan but my assistant had me buried in paperwork-literally,” he said as he warped Anubis off to Nirvana. Any punishment Savira's mother would dish out was far worse than anything he could think of.
“hmph. Well, is it true,” she sighed.
“what's true?”
“that Atemu sealed himself away into the millenniu puzzle?” she said, her head bowed.
“I'm afraid so. But don't worry, he will be free in 5,000 years, I'm sure.”
“but uncle, Atemu was the only one to solve it. How-“
“when I say I am sure, I'm sure. What you should be worrying about is what you will be doing in that time. Surely, you do not wish to wondwer around for 5,000-odd years,” he said, watching as she shook her head.
“no. I want…I want to be sealed away as well. Living in a world without him…is not living at all. I might as well be dead.” She whispered. Roan smiled.
“egypt has seemd to have done you well Savira. I never thought that you would say such romantic things. Just as well…” Roan led her back into the cave.
“uncle Roan?”
“here. I will seal you in here so that you may be safe. I know you would prefer to be with Atemu but I think it is best that mortals will not find you.”
Savira nodded in sad agreement. Smiling, Roan cast a coma spell on her so that she may sleep out her confinement. Muttering the incantation, he encased here into a giant crystal and not only seale her, but sealed the souls of her light and dark in her as well. Beck, he let run free.
As he sealed her, he didn't notice the single tear that ran down her cheek.
Atemu…I will see you again some day…I promise you…
