Chapter One: Invite To Atlantis

The sun slowly peaked over the top of the sandy bottom of the ocean were heaven and Earth were one for that pure moment in time. Two figures slowly stirred from their bed after a cautious knock came off the door. Two adults lay down with tricolor spiky hair with golden lighting shaped bangs, solid black interior and crimson red tips on their ends, both having equally dark crimson eyes and skin darkened by the sun only one was substantially darker then the other. They looked at each other and wiped their eyes clean of sleep. Slowly the door opened.

“Happy birthday your majesties.” A young servant said bowing before them. “I have come to tell you your family has assembled at the Feasting Chamber and are awaiting your arrival.” The two boys waved the servant away and climbed out of their bed.

“Atemu,” The slightly shorter of the two asked as he took off his mostly transparent nightgown and reached into his chest and recovered a dark purple gown with a golden waist sash and golden headband. “Do you think Father and Mother are proud of us and what we have done for Egypt?”

“Of course.” Atemu said kissing his brother on the cheek before reaching into his wardrobe and revealing a white gown with a purple slash and cape. He then placed a golden upside down pyramid around his neck and kissed his brother again. “Why would you think they were ashamed of us, Yami? Did you have another nightmare or something you were pretty antsy in bed last night moving around and moaning, an all?” Yami shrugged his fears away. He always had to be the stronger of the two brothers even though he and Atemu were four years apart but shared the same day of birth.

“Let's go down and eat I'm sure the others are waiting and you know how Kurah and Marik get when they are deprived of food.” Yami said remembering the way the two began fighting with each other over the slightest thing not to mention if given the opportunity they would sleep until the sun set and spend the night out and sleep all the next two days. Atemu nodded and he and his brother slowly made their way towards the Feasting Chamber.

Meanwhile in the Feasting Chamber the Royal family, close council and a few others sat at the table awaiting the Pharaoh and his brother to arrive. There was a mixture of feeling in the air and it caused unrest with the several young oracles and mages that lived within the palace. Three eldest of the magicians and oracles sat together and read from right to left Mikado, Isis, and Noah. Their young apprentice Mana sat between Isis and Mikado while Noah being the only noble born oracle sat alone on the end of the three almost always staring at his twin younger siblings that sat across from him. They never seemed very interested in him, nor he in them though. Seth and Seto was the high priest at the Temple of Rah. They over saw all sorcery in the palace and controlled for the most part most of the shadow games that went on in the kingdom considering they both contained spirits of the Legendary Blue Eyes White Dragon. Both unlike their brother were rather secretive and cold hearted. Near the end of the table sat the last remaining members of the family even though they were only adopted in soldiers. The two brothers, Akeifa and Kurah known for causing trouble around the palace and being rather dangerous all around and the demonic Ishtar brothers, Namu and Marik. Namu is only a year younger then Isis and about four or so years older then Marik. The Mage Mariku Ishtar whom was unable to bare a son with his wife adopted both sets of brothers. The only other person at the table was the wife-to-be of Atemu as proposed by his father from a neighboring land. Her name was Tea but no one really likes her but they love Mana her twin sister.

“Are you going to tell Atemu about the archive you found during your exploration in the desert?” Noah asked still looking his twin brothers. Akeifa and Namu almost instantly looked up from their two arguing brothers. “What did you say?” Akeifa asked feeling a long dangerous looking scar on his cheek with his index finger. “You know.” Noah teased on. “That archive you found while you and Namu were someplace you weren't so post to be doing something you weren't so posted to be doing?” Noah didn't even have to look to know Akeifa and Namu knew of what he spoke. “That is none of your business what we do at night!” Akeifa shouted and Noah finally turned his light blue eyes to meet angry crimson ones. “I never said there was anything wrong with going out there I just wanted to know if you would tell Atemu or Yami about it.” Noah said calmly ignoring the other questionable eyes staring at him. “If you don't you don't but he will find that archive soon enough and won't he find it strange that someone else has already moved through all the bugs and booby traps set up by a very clever people?” “Leave Ryou out of this!” Akeifa shouted now extremely enraged. “He has nothing to do with anything!” Noah raised a hand.

“But he does.” Noah said smiling. “That boy has everything to do with everything. But that will come later for our Pharaoh and friend comes now.” With that Atemu and Yami walked into the room and everyone was happy even Akeifa whose anger disappeared as soon as they entered the room.

As the family feasted together on fruit, fresh bread, roasted meat and sweetened dates another slave entered the room saying someone was here to see the pharaoh in immediate conference so that he may discuss an important matter with his highness. The slave was a young pale boy born to parent's whom rarely spoke at all within the palace walls for they were slaves brought from the capital of Atlantis during times of war as a piece offering that went south with Atemu and Yami's father.

“Understood Thomas, we both thank you.” Atemu said waving the boy closer. “Bring him here so that we may speak.” The boy nodded and disappeared back through the doors only to return a few moments later with a young teen with short blonde hair and honey brown eyes and pale skin. He bowed slightly at the forward from the waist like Atlantians do then approached Yami and Atemu while keeping his distance at the same time.

“I'm Joey of the Black Dragon Squad of Atlantis and I have been asked to deliver an important message to you from my Emperor Dartz Del Delores.” He completed his short speech by pulling out a small sphere from his bag and placing it on the floor. After making a few hand sighs the sphere glowed and a figure came out.

A young man no older then Atemu stood facing them wearing a golden crown with precious blue jewels pressed into that gleamed in the low light with matching golden armor equipped with a sturdy sword. His face was broad with average sized eyes with the strangest colors imaginable. His left eye was a bright and liable brown while the right was an odd glowing golden yellow, his skin as pale as a pearl. He smirked at them for a moment before beginning his proclamation.

“I have sent my strongest warrior of the skies to meet you this the day of your birth to ask you a valiant and irrefutable question. I am going to offer you a chance to come to Atlantis and meet me personally to discuss peace between our two nations during the week of your birth or expect to have an army waiting on the border of the city by the next moon.” He said it so lightly it almost seemed unreal. With that final bow and a wish for a happy birthday the figure disappeared and Joey lifted the sphere and placed it back into his hand.

“I hope you will consider the Emperor's offer. He doesn't take kindly to not getting his way.” Joey said the last part absent mindedly as he looked at the two at the head of the table.

“We will send Akeifa and Namu to you with our decision in the morning.” Noah said before the others had any time to react. Noah began to speak in a different dialect. “Tell your Emperor that his demands will be met and not to hurt his slaves until Akeifa and Namu have come to him with a response.” Akeifa and Namu looked at Noah with low dangerous eyes. They understood what he was proposing and did not like it.

“You speak as if you know him so well. If you did then you know he will harm them even if one as powerful as you says not to. He already punished your Mother for trying to stop him.” Joey replied laughing slightly. “Pardon me.” He used his hand to wipe some hair from his face.

“My mother is strong for she has not faded from this world yet. She awaits his return as do I before we can return home to the land of our birth. Under the true Emperor as it should be.” Noah said with a slight frown as he turned to look at his brother's ignoring the glares from the two older boys at the far end of the table.

“As well all wish it was. But I will do as you say. Good bye Oracle.” Joey whispered and walked out toward the window were a large red eye had appeared. Joey took one hand and placed it onto black scales and with two great heavy heaves he disappeared into the hair on the back of the dragon.

Noah turned back to look at the confused others and the two angry soldiers.

“We will answer his demand with an approval. We will go to Atlantis and meet this emperor if it means keeping peace with his people.” Atemu said looking at his council. Yami looked at his brother.

“It could be a trap an attempt to kill you.” Yami said trying to reason with his brother.

“No.” Atemu said in a simple voice. “This is what you dreamt about last night isn't it?” Yami shook his head cause if he revealed his dream that that would be the end of their family and he knew it.
“No I dreamt of mother and father last night. That's all.” Yami replied lowering his head to the ground thinking only slightly as the sky began to grow dark.

“Well then, Akifa, Namu get going with the response I said you would. After all Dartz knows you two well and won't suspect a thing.” Noah said waving good bye the two soldiers.

“Stupid Oracle, going a signing me up…” Akifa grumbled as his pat Kurah's head and walked off towards the back window. Namu did the same to Marik and waved his sister good bye and went beside Akifa both disappearing from view with the words. “Gateway to Dark World.”

“I know they will be happy to see you.” Noah whispered as he and the other council members went to another room to discuss their how they would handle going to Atlantis. This was going to be one hell of a long council meeting.
