Chapter 3: Water Dragon Inn (Part 1)
Kurah carried the young pale survivor against his body as he and the others rode out of the dune and back towards the river. Marik carried the skinny tanned teen with him while Yami insisted on carrying the small pale one. Each had their wounds treated and bandaged back at the village.
The pale teen had had a cut across his upper forearm and bronzes along his wrist and ankles, which had been covered by beautiful golden bracletes, caused by being bound to something and showed signs of being tainted. The one Marik held had similar wounds but his were around his neck, almost as if he was strapped down with a chain around his neck, wrists, and ankles, with minor cuts along his chest and arms most likely from running through the burring debris. The littlest one Yami held didn't seem to have any wounds on him but he was covered in the other two's blood but none of his own.
Seto and Seth rode at the front of the group searching for a safe and secure place to sleep. Yami refused to talk directly to Atemu for some reason and when ever Atemu approached him he would run behind one of them, more often Seto or Kurah, like a frightened child. It was strange behavior for the normally bold and adventurous brother.
Finally Seto and Seth managed to find another village up the Nile River. There they spoke both Atlantian and Egyptian. The Atlantian people their married and lived happily with the Egyptians because they had left on their own from the capital of Atlantis, because of the death of their last emperor before Dartz. They all said they were waiting for their true emperor to return, the emperor that would except the Egyptians and end the needless tension and fear that existed in the people.
Seto and Kurah went to find an inn while the others waited outside a local restaurant. Slowly the tanned survivor began to come to life. He shook his head slowly and looked around before feeling himself pressed up against someone. He body became ridged and stiff knowing all to well what this possession normally meant. He remained as still as possible as he felt himself being moved from the other's body.
Seto and Kurah took the group into the Water Dragon Inn near the center of the village. It was a small establishment but comfortable and well furnished. It also had a stable for the horses as well as enough open rooms for them to stay in. As they walked into the small clay building with a wooden sign they where met by an elderly woman with long blue hair and faded blue eyes. She smiled at Kurah and Seto and began to speak in Atlantian.
“"Hola, hombres jóvenes. ¿Están éstos los compañeros que viajan usted rayo de?” (1) She asked pushing her hair from her face and holding it back with a large shell like pin. Kurah nodded his head but did not reply back. She smiled again as a large tanned man appeared from a back room as she began to speak in Egyptian. “This is my son Leon del desierto y del mar. He will show you to your room now.”
Leon gave bow at the waist to his mother before getting on his hands and knees and kneeling before the noble Pharaoh and his companions. Leon was of average height with a thick muscular build, he wore on a pair of blue shorts around his waist as he went around topless obviously from the heat. His hair was cut short and choppy almost like Akiefa's but his color was a simple jet black with solid blue stripes running from his scalp to his tips. His eyes were two colors, his left a dark cobalt blue on the left and a light sandy brown on the right. He smiled as he lead them to their rooms.
The group stayed in two rooms that lay side by side connected by a door on the side wall. Each room had two large beds located on either side of the room, a small desk for writing, toiletries in the back and a large wash room complete with a large tub, big enough to fit about five comfortably, made out of what seemed like marble. Leon told them if they need hot water all they would have to do is call for him and he would boil some for them.
Marik told Leon he wasn't leaving Night Stalker alone in their stable and demanded the horse be brought into the establishment with him. Leon agreed understanding entirely his bond with animals. He also brought Night Shade for Kurah while the other four horses were boarded up inside the stable together. The men split up with Atemu, Yami, the small survivor, Seto and Seth in one room and Kurah, Marik, the pale survivor, the tanned survivor and the two horses.
~*~*~*~*~*~Kurah and Marik's Room~*~*~*~*~*~
Kurah and Marik decided to take a bath while the survivors continued to rest on one of the beds in the company of the two sleeping horses. They left the bathroom door open incase they were called upon or the survivors woke up.
It was the moment Marik and Kurah sat in the tub did the blonde survivor move. He opened his purple eyes carefully looking around before sitting up cautiously causing the cover to slide from his body reviling his clothes were still on his body. He stared at them for a moment confused and puzzled not understanding what they were doing still on him. He then moved his arms surprised to not have them bound by anything. He didn't understand he simply continued looking around until his eyes fell upon his friend.
“Ryou, despierte. No sea por favor muerto. “(2) Malik whispered as he heard slight splashing and voices from the open bathroom door. The white haired boy began to stir rubbing his hand against his face causing his bracelets to jingle slightly.
“Malik, soy muy cansado. Déjeme dormir. Por favor.” (3) Ryou whined before closing his eyes and turning his back on his friend falling to sleep again.
Malik shook his head as he looked around not seeing Yugi. He listened carefully to the conversation going on in the bathroom hopping to find out where his missing friend had gone. He looked into the bathroom slowly spotting two people, a man that looked like Ryou and another man with spike hair like his.
“I wonder why that fire bothered me so much.” The Malik look alike said running some cold water on his face. “I mean, it was so long ago.”
“Marik don't worry about it. At least we were able to save a few of the people.” The Ryou look a like said from the bathroom. “They're very valuable and you can tell by their skin that they haven't been out in the sun much. They must have been show slaves or something for one of the rich people, living or passing through the village.” Marik nodded as he entered the bath and sat next to his best friend, cuddling up beside him. “What do you want company tonight? Or where you planning on taking care of this yourself?” He asked as he moved his right hand causing a moan to escape Marik's lips.
Malik listened confused. They had him their why didn't they just turn to him if they needed releasing or didn't they understand what he was used for? At least that's what he'd always been used for. Malik slowly got back into the bed as the moans died away from the bathroom and footsteps were heard coming towards the door. He moved back beside Ryou and pretended to sleep as the two men still naked retired to the bed across the room from theirs after checking up on them.
~*~*~*~*~*~*~ Yami and Atemu's Room~*~*~*~*~*
Yami still refused go near Atemu. He sat on the opposite side of the room stroking the sleeping survivor's hair lovingly like a mother to a child. He remembered the child from his vision and was hoping he could shed some light on the situation when he woke up. Atemu watched his brother from across the room while Seto and Seth tried to find a reason for his brother's strange behavior. Slowly the survivor began to stir purring softly at the gentle petting of his hair.
“Amo que se siente bien.”(4) The boy moaned as he turned to his side into Yami's stomach and began whimpering before opening large purple eyes.
“¿Cuál es su nombre?" (5) Yami asked looking down at the young boy, who now looked at him fearfully and was shaking below him.
“Yugi, Amo.” The boy replied immediately moving from Yami's lap and kissing his feet. Yami raised an eye brow at the boy's strange behavior.
“Sabe usted hablar a egipcio, Yugi?" Yami asked and the boy nodded. “Good.” He replied in his native tongue.
Seto and Seth immediately turned to question the teen about why he was in the town, who he was, who his friends were and where they had come from. Yugi couldn't remember he only remember his master's order to a degree, everything he did to follow his master's orders was in his subconscious. He simply answered what he knew. His friends' names were Ryou del Mar and Malik de las serpientes*, but they always went by first name Ryou and Malik. They were of Atlantian descendants even Malik despite his dark skin, his light platinum blonde hair proved that one of his parents was Atlantian. They accepted his answers and began writing their brother and the other nobles back in the castle on their find when there was a sudden knock on the door.
Seto answered it to find Leon standing in the doorway holding a letter addressed the pharaoh. Seto thanked him and took the letter to Atemu. As soon as Atemu took the letter Yami began to have a vision.
